30 years ago, a new kind of disaster struck the world, Spacequakes. If not for Mio Takamiya and her Deus Industries, humanity might not still exist to this day. On the place the first Spacequake happened, a portal to another world opened, and so an organization was created to explore that world and find a way to end the Spacequakes. Shido, with an unique ability, joins them.

37. V2 Author's Note

Hello everyone. Hope you enjoyed this second volume.

The focus this time was on Nia, who some of you noticed was previously missing. In my original plan for this story, I was going to make the Spirit Team members be the 11 Spirits we see in the LN, but I changed my mind as I prepared the script. But of course, I couldn't simply not include her, and so Nia became the Demon King Beelzebub.

From the Spirit Team, the focus this time was on Maya. I think everyone already knows, but in the LN she's a Quasi-Spirit from Date A Bullet. Similarly to her, some other characters from there that I enjoy will also be making an appearance later, so I hope you guys are excited to see my version of these characters.

Something else I should probably comment on was how (almost) everyone got their Spirit CR-Unit this volume. My idea was to spread it a bit more throughout the first 4 volumes, but during writing I felt that it made more sense this way, and having Miku be the odd one out for a while will also help when I get to the volume focused on her.

Oh, and I can't forget that I introduced my rendition of the Spirit Mansion this volume. It's a bit different from the LN's version, since Shido also lives here in mine, but the general purpose is similar, a place where Shido and the girls can be next to each other, which will allow them to grow closer (and do more perverted things, in my version).

So yeah, what did you guys think of this volume? A lot more happened compared to the first one, and although there were some differences from what I originally planned, I think it turned out rather good.

The next one is one of my personal favorites in planning. I won't spoil it too much, but the Demon Kings in focus will be Baal and Astaroth, who showed up at the end here. I wonder if you guys can guess who from the LNs I picked to be them.
