Episode 459: Giratina and the Sky Warrior Part 1

And here is the first chapter of the Giratina and the Sky Warrior arc, but before we get this chapter started, I thought I would share that this will be where Roxas will get his chances to battle against Fantina and earn the Relic Badge. And I will do whatever I can to make this arc as epic as possible, so keep your fingers crossed for that. And so, let us begin the second chapter of this Pokémon movie trilogy. Enjoy!

Several days have passed since Roxas has win the Fen Badge from Crasher Wake. Sora, Kairi, Lucas, Dawn, Wes, Rui, Michael, Pikachu, Angel, and Piplup walking down the road when when Yugi, Téa, Joey, Tristan, Mai, Duke, Serenity, and Bakura approached the group.

"Sora, hello," Yugi greeted with a smile.

"Yugi, it's good to see you," Sora said.

"We haven't seen you since the Hearthome Tag Battle Tournament. Long time no see," Lucas said.

"Same here," Joey said.

"Where are you heading?" Téa asked.

"Down to Hearthome City. Roxas and Lucas for a Gym battle they didn't get to have," Kairi said.

"Eevee," Angel said.

"We thought of having them catch up before we head for Canalave City," Sora said.

"Would it be okay if we join you, too?" Serenity asked.

"Sure," Sora said.

"Pikachu," Pikachu said.

With that said, Yugi and his friends joined the group as they head for Hearthome City.

Speaking of which, Roxas, Xion, Lea, Tai, Matt, Sora T, Izzy, Mimi, Joe, TK, Kari, Davis, Ken, Yolei, Cody, Amy, Meiko, Xipak, Celeste, and Little Mei took a short cut and arrived to Hearthome City. And it was when they met up with Fantina. She notices the group approaching her.

"Ah, I see you've come. I don't see any of your friends around," Fantina said.

"Well, we went our separate ways for right now. Since we came here, I would like to challenge you to a Gym battle," Roxas said.

"Very well. I accept your challenge," Fantina said.

With that said, the group went inside the Gym as Roxas and Fantina got into position for battle.

"This is it. Roxas now has his chance to win the Relic Badge from Fantina," Davis said.

"He's going have to fight for it, tooth and nail to get that Gym Badge," Matt said.

"Matt's right. We just have to cheer hard for him," Xion said.

"I second that motion!" Lea said.

"Roxas! Win or lose, you're still number one!" Kari said.

"The battle between Fantina and Roxas from Pallet Town is about to begin! Both Trainers will be using three Pokémon each! Only the challenger will be allowed to make substitutions! The battle will be over when either the challenger's or the Gym Leader's Pokémon are unable to battle! Choose your first Pokémon and begin!" The referee announced. Fantina took out a Pokéball and threw it.

"Gengar! Battle position!" Fantina called out. Her Gengar came out to battle. Roxas took out a Pokéball and threw it.

"Go! Gengar!" Roxas called out. His Pokéball opened and his Gengar came out to battle.

"Both are starting up with Gengar, so it's a mirror match," Davis said.

"Both Gengar are Ghost-types so they're at a huge disadvantage with each other," Izzy said.

"Shadow Punch!" Fantina ordered.

"You use Shadow Punch, too!" Roxas ordered.

Both Gengar land a Shadow Punch, each Gengar land a hit with a Shadow Punch.

"Poison Jab!" Fantina ordered.

"Dodge and use Shadow Ball!" Roxas ordered. Roxas's Gengar dodged and fired a Shadow Ball, hitting Fantina's Gengar.

"Impressive. The way your Gengar exercise its movements is very impressive. It shows how well you raised your Gengar. Hypnosis!" Fantina ordered. Fantina's Gengar sends out a hypnotic wave from its eyes.

"Dodge it and use Shadow Punch!" Roxas ordered. Roxas's Gengar dodged Fantina's Gengar's Hypnosis and lands a Shadow Punch. "Use Dark Pulse!" Roxas's Gengar lands a hit with a Dark Pulse, hitting Fantina's Gengar on the mark. Fantina's Gengar has been knocked out.

"Fantina's Gengar is unable to battle! Roxas's Gengar wins!" The referee announced.

"And Roxas takes the lead," Amy said.

"What did you expect?" Lea asked.

"But it's not over yet," Xion said. Fantina called back her fallen Gengar and took out another Pokéball and threw it.

"Mismagius! Battle position!" Fantina called out. Her Mismagius emerged from inside, ready to battle. Roxas called back his Gengar and took out his other Pokéball and threw it.

"Go! Umbreon!" Roxas called out. His Pokéball opened and his Umbreon emerged from inside, ready to battle.

"Mismagius! Use Magical Leaf!" Fantina ordered. Mismagius unleashed a Magical Leaf and sent it right at the Moonlight Pokémon.

"Use Dark Pulse to block it!" Roxas ordered. Umbreon fired a Dark Pulse, blocking Mismagius's Magical Leaf. "Use Feint Attack!" Umbreon vanished and land a hit onto Mismagius. "Use Feint Attack again!" Umbreon lands another Feint Attack, landing another hit.

"Very impressive, Roxas. Your double Feint Attack combo is flawlessly perfect. But you cannot accomplish that twice in a row in my Gym. Mismagius! Use Dark Pulse!" Fantina ordered. Mismagius fired a Dark Pulse, hitting the Moonlight Pokémon on the mark. "Magical Leaf" Mismagius fired a Magical Leaf at Umbreon

"Those landed some serous hits onto Umbreon with Magical Leaf and Dark Pulse. That Mismagius knows to use Psybeam and Psywave, but she knows Psychic-type moves do not affect Dark-types like Umbreon," Izzy said.

"Yeah, but she isn't going to stop just because Ghost-types are weak against Dark-types," Lea said.

"Lea's right. Fantina did that with Sora 2's Stunky, if you remember," Cody said.

"Let's see if Roxas can pull it off," Xion said.

"Eevee," Celeste said.

"Mismagius! Use Dark Pulse and Magical Leaf!" Fantina ordered. Mismagius unleashes both Dark Pulse and Magical Leaf at the same time.

"Umbreon! Dark Pulse! Full power!" Roxas ordered. Umbreon increased the power of Dark Pulse, blocking Mismagius's combo Dark Pulse and Magical Leaf and pushed it back, hitting the Magical Pokémon on the mark. "Use Crunch" Umbreon jumped forward and lands a heavy bite attack onto Mismagius, resulting in a knockout.

"Mismagius is unable to battle! Umbreon wins!" The referee announced.

"That was awesome, Umbreon!" Roxas said.

"Umbreon!" Umbreon said. Fantina called back her Mismagius and smiled.

"Not too bad, Roxas. Your battling skills deserves so much respect. But your next challenge has yet to begin. And the question is, are you ready for my final Pokémon?" Fantina asked.

"I'm ready for anything you throw at me, Fantina," Roxas said.

"I do not doubt it, mon ami. And now, here is my third and final Pokémon," Fantina said as she took out her third Pokéball and threw it. "Drifblim! Battle position!" Fantina called out as her Drifblim emerged from inside to battle.

"And there's Drifblim," Tai said.

"She's been saving that one for last, as expected. That Drifblim is no pushover since she gave Sora 2 a run for his money, and she's going to do the same for Roxas," Meiko said.

"Meowth," Little Mei said.

"That's true, but Roxas did come from Sora, so like Sora, he's going to give it everything he has in this match," Lea said.

"And if my memory's right, that Driblim can use Silver Wind," TK said.

"Silver Wind's a Bug-type move, and we all know that's strong against Dark-types," Kari said.

"Yeah, but Roxas will find a way around it," Davis said.

"Okay, Umbreon, be on your toes. That Drifblim knows Silver Wind," Roxas said.

"Bre," Umbreon nodded.

"So, use Dark Pulse!" Roxas ordered. Umbreon fired a Dark Pulse and sends it at the Blimp Pokémon.

"Use Ominous Wind!" Fantina ordered. Drifblim unleashes an Ominous Wind and blew Umbreon's Dark Pulse. "Now, Silver Wind!"

"Dodge it, Umbreon!" Roxas called out. Umbreon tried to dodge Drifblim's Silver Wind, but it came too quick for the Moonlight Pokémon to dodge in time. "Will-O-Wisp!" Drifblim unleashes a Will-O-Wisp and it struck Umbreon on the mark, resulting in a burn. "Uh-oh! Umbreon's burned!"

"Use Hex!" Fantina ordered. Driflim unleashes a Hex and it deals some heavy damage due to Umbreon's burns. The Moonlight Pokémon is then knocked out from the Blimp Pokémon's assault.

"Umbreon is unable to battle! Driflblim wins!" The referee announced.

"And Fantina is starting to make a comeback," Yolei said.

"Leaving Roxas with just two more to go," Mimi said.

"Well, let's hope Roxas's next one will make it count," Sora T said. Roxas called back Umbreon and took out another Pokéball and threw it.

"Gengar! Back to action!" Roxas called out. His Pokéball opened and his Gengar came back out to battle. "Okay, Gengar! Use Shadow Punch!" Gengar sends out a Shadow Punch and lands a hit onto Drifblim on the mark. "Use Shadow Punch again!"

"Ominous Wind!" Fantina ordered. Drifblim sends out Ominous Wind and blew Gengar's Shadow Punch back at the Shadow Pokémon in the face. "Will-O-Wisp!" Drifblim sends out Will-O-Wisp and burns Gengar.

"Gengar's burned! That means Hex is going to cause heavy damage onto Gengar with Hex," Ken said.

"That can't be good for Gengar," Amy said.

"Hang on, Gengar! Use Dark Pulse!" Roxas ordered.

"Dodge it and use Hex!" Fantina ordered. Drifblim dodges Gengar's Dark Pulse and sends out a Hex, hitting Gengar. It deals extra damage on the Shadow Pokémon and results in a knockout.

"Gengar ia unable to battle! Drifblim wins!" The referee announced. Roxas called back Gengar.

"You did your best, Gengar. Get some rest for now," Roxas said.

"Pikachu," Xipak said, grabbing Roxas's attention. "Pika, Pika, Pikachu."

"I didn't forget about you, buddy. That Driblim's tough, but your heart and spirit are tougher. I have absolute faith in you," Roxas said.

"Pika," Xipak said, knowing Roxas is backing him up.

"Okay, Xipak, go for it," Roxas said. Xipak stepped in the battlefield, ready to battle the Blimp Pokémon.

"And it looks like Xipak's being sent out to battle against that Driblim," Lea said.

"Well, Xipak's an Electric-type Pokémon, and Driblim's a Flying-type, so it's a good match-up," Cody said.

"Cody's right. But after seeing her Driflblim taking down Umbreon and Gengar, Roxas should know it won't be easy," Joe pointed out.

'This is Roxas we're talking about. Roxas does know he isn't going to find it easy even with a type advantage," Lea said.

"So, he's going to make a big bounce," Xion said.

"Vee," Celeste said.

"Drifblim, if you please. Begin with Will-O-Wisp!" Fantina ordered. Drifblim sends out a Will-O-Wisp right toward Xipak.

"Okay, Xipak! Thunderbolt, all around!" Roxas ordered. Xipak sends out a Thunderbolt and it cuts through Drifblim's Will-O-Wisp. The Electric-type attack lands a devastating hit onto the Blimp Pokémon. Xipak's Thunderbolt ends up paralyzing her.

"Sacre bleu! Drifblim's paralyzed!" Fantina gasped.

"Way to go, Roxas!" Amy called out.

"Now, Driblim's gonna have a hard time moving around much," Tai said.

"Drifblim! Use Ominous Wind!" Fantina ordered. Drifblim blew Ominous Wind toward Xipak, blowing him in it. "Now, use Silver Wind!" Drifblim blew a Silver Wind and sends it at Xipak, hitting him. "Now, use Will-O-Wisp!" Drifblim sends out a Will-O-Wisp at Xipak once again.

"Dodge it with Quick Attack!" Roxas ordered. Xipak dodges Drifblim's Will-O-Wisp with Quick Attack. "Now, use Electro Ball!" Xipak unleashes an Electro Ball and sent it right at the Blimp Pokémon, landing some heavy damage. "Now, use Thunderbolt! Turn up the juice!" Xipak unleashes a powerful Thunderbolt, heavily shocking Drifblim. The Blimp Pokémon fell to the ground.

"Driblim! Get up!" Fantina pleaded. Drifblim struggled to get back up to keep on battling, but the Blimp Pokémon fell back down, due to exhaustion. "No!"

"Drifblim is unable to battle! Pikachu wins! The winner is Roxas from Pallet Town!" The referee announced.

"Way to go, Roxas!" TK cheered.

"Yeah, way to go, Roxas," Lea agreed as he smiled, feeling proud of his best friend. Fantina called back her Drifblim and she smiled.

"That was an excellent battle, Roxas. Your skills in battle are most impressive, oui. Therefore, it is my honor to present to you the proof of your victory here in the Hearthome City Gym, the Relic Badge," Fantina said, presenting Roxas his Relic Badge. Roxas accepts it.

"Thanks, Fantina. I had a great time battling you," Roxas said.

"As have I, Roxas. Therefore, I say merci for this match, Monsiuer Roxas," Fantina said with a smile.

"And merci to you, Fantina," Roxas said.

"Now, it'll be Lucas's turn to battle her next," Davis said.

"Yeah, he just has to get here," Amy said.

"Well, we could stick around for that," Lea said.

"Yeah, we should," Xion said.

"Eevee," Celeste said.

Meanwhile, Sora, Kairi, Lucas, Dawn, Wes, Rui, Michael, Yugi, Téa, Joey, Tristan, Mai, Bakura, Duke, Serenity, Pikachu, Angel, and Piplup have made a stop as they made a stop to spar. Sora is sparring with Joey. He has his Crocoaw out as Sora has Chimchar out. The group were completely unaware of Paul being present.

"Okay, Sora, thought I'd remind you that my Croconaw's a Water-type, so Chimchar's Fire-type moves won't even hurt Croconaw much," Joey said.

"Don't worry, Joey. I didn't forget. And it makes sparring with you ore worth it," Sora said.

"Chimchar!" Chimchar said.

"It looks like Chimchar's fired up! Okay, let's do this! Croconaw! Start things up with a Slash!" Joey ordered. Croconaw charges at Chimchar with a Slash.

"Dodge with Dig!" Sora ordered. Chimchar digs underground to avoid Croconaw's Slash. The Big Jaw Pokémon looked around for the Chimp Pokémon, knowing he could come out from anywhere. Chimchar came out from underneath Croconaw, landing a hit.

"Croconaw! Use Liquidation!" Joey ordered. Croconaw with its hands emitting water to land a hit.

"Dodge and use Power-Up Punch!" Sora ordered. Chimchar dodged Croconaw's Liquidation and lands a Power-Up Punch onto the Big Jaw Pokémon, increasing Chimchar's attack power. "Now, use Power-Up Punch again!"

"Use Liquidation!" Joey ordered. Chimchar lands another Power-Up Punch as Croconaw lands a Liquidation. Both Pokémon have each taken damage as Chimchar then started to evolve.

"Look at that!" Serenity said.

"Chimchar's evolving!" Téa said.

Chimchar has become a Monferno. The newly evolved Monferno sends out a Mach Punch and it lands a hit onto Croconaw.

"Monferno just learned how to use Mach Punch. Nice!" Sora said, smiling. Paul wasn't amused as he scoffed and thought it was just plain luck, so he left.

"It doesn't matter if Chimchar had just evolved, it's still a weak and pathetic Pokémon," Paul said in his thoughts as he takes his leave.

"Good to keep going, Joey?" Sora asked.

"Anytime, Sora," Joey said.

And the training went on until Monferno and Croconaw were called back. Joey helped Lucas train for his Gym battle. Joey has sent out his Arcanine, Gyarados, and Sandslash against his Luxray, Staravia, and Gligar for it.

Meanwhile, there is a small, white, hedgehog-like Pokémon. It has green grass-like fur on its back and a pink flower with two leaves on each side of its head, which resembles the Gracidea flower. More flowers appear on its back whenever it feels comfortable, but when it senses danger, it rapidly hides them again. Its legs are short and its underside is plump. This Pokémon is known as Shaymin.

Shaymin is walking through the forest as a trio of Combee flying by. Shaymon stopped when it heard the fluttering sound of the Combee's wings. Once they passed it. Shaymin looked around before giving a brief sneeze. Shaymin took off once again, walking through the grass, eventually reaching a lake, much to its delight. Shaymin sips the water, but an azure portal opened and Dialga came out from inside it. Shaymin stopped drinking and saw the Temporal Pokémon by the same lake. For some reason it could not understand, Dialga was looking straight into the sky.

In a different dimension, Giratina is in its Origin Form, eyeing Dialga.

Unknown to it, it was being monitored by a man wearing a yellow jumpsuit with a red patch on the chest with a 0 imprinted in it. He has white hair and yellow eyes.

Back at the lake, Dialga took a sip of water itself, unaware of a vortex forming on the lake's surface. The vortex opened and began to pull in Dialga, much to its dismay. Dialga tries to fight it.

Back to the man, he was still monitoring Giratina.

"Currently making contact with Dialga," a computerized voice said. Back at the lake, Giratina emerged from the vortex and tackled into Dialga. The small Pokémon watched, feeling a little scared of the sight. Shaymin is then pulled into the tornado and slammed into Dialga's spikes. Giratina began to pull in Dialga. Back to the man... "Giratina has captured Dialga, and it is returning into the Reverse World."

"They won't make it. Find the next point of appearance," the man said.

"As you wish, Zero," the computerized voice said.

Back with Shaymin, Giratina, and Dialga, the Temporal Pokémon tried to get away, but it was no use as Giratina kept pulling in Dialga, unaware of Shaymin being on Dialga as well. Giratina brought Dialga and Shaymin into the Reverse World. Not too far away, there is a man and a Shieldon in the area. He wore a ragged red shirt and brown shorts. He also wore red sneakers and brown hair and a brown beard. He also has a backpack strapped to his back. A camera came out of the backpack and he uses it to record the scuffle.

"Has Giratina captured Dialga?" The man asked as he looked through it. He then noticed something else. "What is this?" He zooms in on Dialga's spikes and saw Shaymon on it. "What's it doing here?" Dialga managed to get Giratina off of it and heads for the vortex to get out, unknowingly knocked Shaymon off. Unwilling to let Dialga get away, it went after Dialga. Dialga reaches the vortex to get out, but Giratina grabbed Dialga once again and dragged it down. Shaymon grabbed onto a ledge. Dialga makes an another attempt to get away from Giratina, but gave chase, unleashing a purple gas. Shaymin absorbs the purple gas, turning its flowers to black. Giratina fired a Dragon Pulse, hitting Dialga on the mark. Giratina fired another Dragon Pulse, but Dialga dodged it, but Shaymin was sent flying into the air. Shaymin's body glows light green, the flower on its head glows pink, and it explodes, creating a huge, light green explosion all around it. This catches Dialga and Giratina's attention. In the Reverse World, it causes a portal to the real world to form. Shaymin is then pulled in and it fell in a river and drifted away.

Back to Zero, he is puzzled by what has happened.

"What was that?" Zero asked.

"That was not the work of Giratina," the computerized voice said. The screen displays Shaymin in the water. "It seems to be because of that Pokémon." The screen shows Giratina and Dialga heading for the portal. "Giratina approaches."

Dialga sees it as another chance to escape, but Giratina makes another attempt to stop Dialga from escaping, but Dialga fired Roar of Time at Giratina, hitting it. Dialga then escapes through the portal and out in the real world. Before Giratina could reach it, the portal closes. Unwilling to give up, Giratina opens another portal like before and then tries to go through it, but for some reason, Giratina couldn't get through at all. The man and his Shieldon observed the whole event.

"It's trapped. Dialga must have something to it," the man said

Zero is revealed to be riding in an airship, known as the Megarig. He monitors Giratina's attempts to make it through the portal, but ended up repeating the process again.

"We've come too late," Zero said.

"It appears after coming into contact with Dialga, Giratina is unable to leave the Reverse World. Time is now running in an infinite loop around Giratina," the computer voice said.

"What's this?" Zero asked.

Back with Shaymin, it's still going down the river and fell down a waterfall.

It appears this is only the beginning of the events that are to come. Who is this Zero, and why is he so fascinated with Giratina so much? And what about this mysterious man inside the Reverse World? Who is he and how did he end up in the Reverse World to begin with? And what will happen when Sora and his friends makes contact with these events to come? Find out as we continue on with our story.

And we're gonna end it here for right now, so be sure you stick around for the second part of the Giratina and the Sky Warrior arc. And I'll do what I can to make an update whenever I can, so keep your fingers crossed. Bye-bye for now.
