( Code Total Drama Reality Introduction Song Starts )

( No Pain No Game (From Btoom!) )

(The ending of this story)

The song starts, showing the end of Code Lyoko where the Supercomputer is shut down and the former Lyoko Warriors leave the factory seemingly for the last time.

(I will hold it close as I wonder so aimlessly)

A single computer is shown coming online, lines of 1s and 0s streaming across the screen before the screen is replaced by a glowing sphere with the Eye of XANA, at least eight variations appearing on it. From the sphere came lines of data emerging in eight different directions. The lines of data formed into various regions, all of them floating landscapes resembling a forest, a desert, an arctic, mountains, volcanoes, swamp and a jungle.

(Into this new world)

The new lands orbited the golden sphere as the camera zoomed in on the Eye of XANA staring at the screen.

(The game has only just begun)

The Eye then flashes red, and the sphere turns black.

(I can see it in your eyes)

A girl with pink hair sits on her bed, panting as she turns to see two pictures of her friends and her father. She smiles briefly but that smile turns to a look of horror as both her friends and her father are engulfed by a great darkness and the red Eye shines down on her. The Supercomputer, thought to be shut down, is reactivated and there is a flash of light.

(This is where tomorrow brings a new game)

Aelita is shown alone both in the real world and in Lyoko, hordes of monsters surrounding her.

Geoff is first shown in his human form before transitioning to his Lyoko form.

Next to him is Bridgette, holding her surfboard in the real world before changing into her Lyoko form, her board splitting into two swords.

(It's time to learn that pain is gain)

Gwen is shown sitting in front of tree, looking up and is instantly changed into her Lyoko Avatar, brandishing her scythe.

DJ is shown in the woods, tending to a little rabbit as he stands up and morphs into his Lyoko form, turning to face the camera with a stern glare.

LeShawna is last, ready to fight in both her human form and her Lyoko form.

(Ready fight!)

William and a dark reflection of himself as XANA's General are shown standing back-to-back, turning to face each other and swinging their swords.

The screen is split by the two swords, showing New Lyoko as the title appears:

CODE: TOTAL DRAMA REALITY

(I gotta crush and paint away the anguish)

Aelita is shown first, sitting at the computer before she is then shown as the DJ of a party. She morphs into her Lyoko form and conjures an energy field.

This was followed quickly by Geoff wildly waving his hat while riding something with Bridgette holding onto him by the back.

(Of my past for the sake of my future)

Gwen is shown next, drawing in her sketchbook and signifying with a sad face as Duncan, Courtney and Trent appear behind her, their backs facing in her direction.

(Until my life comes to an end)

DJ is shown running for his life from appears to be a giant bear.

(I am gonna fight to tear apart that destiny)

LeShawna is shown next, standing confidently with her team, ready to face whatever crazy challenge comes next.

(Aoh, break out and start a revolution)

The antagonists of Total Drama: Heather, Courtney, Justin, Anne Maria, Jo, Lightning, Scott and Alejandro in the Total Drama Machine are shown from left to right, grinning or glaring at the camera, holding up an imaginary case of the million- dollar prize money in their hands. Chris Mclean is shown next, arms crossed as the chair he is sitting in spins to meet the camera, zooming out to show it is the monitor room for the Total Drama show.

A dark shadow appears above them, scrawny in appearance and hair falling over the left eye as it glares darkly at the screen.

(Until you find the answer you're looking for)

The camera then shows Aelita with the new Lyoko Warriors, the TD Lyoko Warriors and William sitting around a campfire, all of them staring up into the starry night sky, a picture of her friends and father resting in Aelita's hands.

(I'll challenge all my limits)

Aelita in her Lyoko form with her wings sprouting from her back is shown, clutching Mr. Puck in her hands as she seemingly falls back, her friends and relatives in the background.

The camera moves down to show William kneeling down, clutching his sword in both hands. As this happens, the camera moves down, showing depictions of the TD Lyoko Warriors and other characters in the background.

The camera continues to move down to show Geoff pulling Bridgette into sharing a picture with LeShawna bringing her face up over Bridgette's shoulder, the three of them in their Lyoko forms. While this happens, Harold, Lindsay, Beth, Trent, Katie and Sadie are shown in the background.

Below them is Gwen with her arms and legs curled around her with her cape swirling behind her like wings while Heather and Courtney are shown in the background glaring at each other followed by Sierra clutching Cody who looks distressed, Eva crossing her arms along with B and Beth both waving, the latter looking very shy. Behind Gwen appeared Dawn in her own Lyoko form in a meditative pose while upside down while facing Gwen with her eyes closed, her light robe contrasting with Gwen's cape with dark clothing, almost forming a yin-yang symbol.

Behind Dawn appears Scott, snickering evilly.

(Knowing this could be my only chance now)

DJ is shown last, seemingly falling back while holding his pet rabbit: Bunny in his hands with a happy smile. His teammates shown in the background starting with Duncan, Tyler, Justin and Alejandro ending with Chef Hatchet and Chris McClean.

He is followed by Mike and Zoey, both clutching their hands and smiling at each other as in background appears Brick, Jo, Lightning, Sam and Staci.

And lately Cameron appears staring up at the others.

(To overcome this fate that has come over me)

The screen turns black and the Eye of XANA immediately flashes into existence, glowing red and shadowing the outline of a singular person with red glowing eyes.

(The ending of this story)

Aelita is shown, standing in a meadow now with the wind gently blowing through her hair.

(I will hold it close as I wonder so aimlessly)

She holds up a hand, gazing sadly up as the images of her friends and parents appear in the sky.

(Into this new world)

Her hand then becomes digital, transitioning to Lyoko.

((The game has only just begun))

She gazes up a little longer before she notices her new friends and allies standing with her and smiles before looking forward, seeing a tower in the distance.

(I can see it in your eyes)

Just as they are about to rush towards the tower, the camera angles up into the digital sky as the song reaches its end.

The scene then shifts to pictures of Aelita and her friends both old and new on a desktop as the title appears on last time:

CODE: TOTAL DRAMA REALITY

( No Pain No Game (From Btoom!) Ends )

Episode 17: Crossroads

William and Dawn dashed through the forest, coming up on the manhole.

"How long do think we have before they get to the factory?" Dawn asked as William lifted the cover.

"No idea." William pushed the cover aside. "We just got to get to the factory first and we'll think of something."

"Hold it right there!" Jim jumped out of the bushes and rushed towards the two. "You're not going anywhere, Dunbar!"

"Sorry, Jim. Got to go." William ducked down the hole, hastily climbing down the latter. "Hurry, Dawn!"

"I'll hold him off. Get to the factory." Dawn calmly said.

"Wha-"

"It's all right. He won't hurt me." Dawn stood up and faced Jim, standing between him and the manhole.

"Don't I know you?" Jim took a second to stop, squinting his eyes before they went wide. "Holy…You're from that Canadian reality show, Total Drama!"

"I take it you've heard of me." Dawn stated.

"Watched bits here and there but when you're famous it's easy to recognize you. What are you doing here?" Jim questioned.

"You must not be aware that a new season is being filmed here in France." Dawn pointed out.

"A new season?!" Jim gaped but shook his head. "I mean why are you helping Dunbar? Do you know what he and his friends are up to?"

"Do you?" Dawn asked carefully. "If you are aware, then you must know that chasing after William and Aelita is not right."

"All I know is that they involved themselves in something really dangerous that they really shouldn't have in the first place. Now, their friends are trapped, and we have to get them out." Jim shook his head.

"By bargaining with a monster?"

Jim seemed to pause. "So, you know."

"I found out not long after Aelita's friends were taken but I know enough." Dawn replied. "You can't trust XANA. He's only exploiting their parents to get what he wants and if Aelita is taken away, there will be no one to stop him."

"We can stop him by informing the authorities. Let them pull the plug on that thing." Jim retorted.

"It won't work. If anything, they'll want the supercomputer for themselves." Dawn shook her head. "That's what to led to everything happening up to now. A secret group of government officials wanting to create the ultimate weapon to control everything electronic and one man using their own weapon against them. That weapon has turned against everyone, deciding to take orders from no one now. Handing over Aelita and William-"

"We're not handing them over." Jim denied.

"But you will go along with expelling and separating them." Dawn softly retorted to which Jim had no rebuttal.

"Okay, we're here. What do we do now?" Geoff asked, him along with the rest of the group just standing on a rocky island in the Mountain Sector.

Gwen was sitting near a large rock that LeShawna leaned against. Bridgette was sitting on her surfboard that hovered a few inches above the ground and DJ sat underneath a nearby tree while Geoff was just in the middle of the landscape.

"I guess wait for Aelita to come back. There is no sign of an activated tower yet but I'm sure she wouldn't send you all unless there is supposed to be a tower." Cameron replied. "By the way, I got that monster she called the Scyphozoa in sight. It's on the far edge of the Mountain Sector."

"Should we take it out?" LeShawna asked, crossing her arms.

"Didn't Aelita tell us to stay away from that?" DJ asked skeptically.

"Anything's better than sitting around, waiting for something to happen." LeShawna grunted. "I mean, I know we agreed to help out, but we can't be at her beck and call and just let her leave us hanging like this."

"I am sure she- Hang on. I got something." Cameron started but stopped. "I am picking up something in the Ice Sector."

"The Ice Sector?" Bridgette lifted her head. "Is it another tower?"

"No. Some kind of signal, three separate signals to be precise but I can't make out what they are." Cameron replied. "Oh, hang on, Aelita's back…and she's not alone."

"William?" Gwen asked.

"No."

"Dawn?" Geoff asked.

"No, it's any of them. It's a bunch of adults…the parents!"

"To think he was operating here of all places."

That was all Walter Stern could say as he and the rest of the group looked upon the factory.

Aelita threw a look at Walter. "You did it again. How do you know my father?"

Walter just looked away. "It's not important."

Aelita didn't look convinced and neither did Walter's wife for that matter. "No, she's actually right. I want to know how you knew this man."

Jean-Pierre cleared his throat. "Let's look at this lab first, then we can ask for answers."

"She led them here?!" LeShawna exclaimed, standing straight from the rock she had been leaning against.

"Maybe she had no choice." Bridgette pondered. "They might have cornered her."

The adults stopped at the elevator and Walter pushed the button to call the elevator up…only for nothing to happen.

"You." He turned and pointed at Aelita. "You had that other kid do this, didn't you? Trying to stop us even though we're trying to save the other children, including my son? I guess you don't care for him as much as you claim."

"I only told William to get here first and warn the others and don't play that card with me, Walter Stern. You've never cared about Ulrich aside only from what you could gain from him. I've seen enough to know that, and he's told me a lot more." Aelita retorted, glaring back up at the man.

"You are going to get this elevator working and take us down now." Walter said heatedly.

"I can't do that from here and you took my cellphone so I can't call whoever might be down there. Obviously, someone has locked the elevator." Aelita crossed her arms. "Maybe you can just ask XANA for help."

Walter growled, raising his arm but surprisingly Jean-Pierre moved Aelita behind him. "What are you-"

"I will not allow for physical harm to befall Miss…Hopper." Jean stated.

"Yeah, we want our kids back but we're not beating a girl to do it." Robert agreed. "Just use her phone and call up whoever is down there and tell them what's going on."

Jean nodded once he saw Walter back off and pulled out Aelita's cellphone, looking over the contact list.

Bridgette

Cameron

DJ

Geoff

Gwen

Jeremy

Odd

Ulrich

Yumi

He tapped the first name: Bridgette only to get nothing and then tried Cameron.

"It looks like they're trying to get the elevator to come up but nothing's happening." Cameron said, looking over the controls. "Looks like Aelita locked the elevator from here so they can't use it."

"That sounds good. Maybe she didn't sell us out." DJ remarked.

"Hold on…I think one of them is a teacher…He's got Aelita's phone…" Cameron trailed off as the computer beeped, signaling an incoming call. "Hold on, I got a call incoming." He clicked the answer icon. "…Hello?"

"Hello, I am Principal Jean-Pierre of Kadic Academy. Who am I speaking with?" An elderly voice, likely the man Cameron could see on the camera holding Aelita's phone.

"Uh…Cameron?" Cameron shrugged at the simple answer he was giving. "How can I help you, Mr. Pierre?"

"You can start by letting us use the elevator."

"Sorry, no can do." Cameron sheepishly answered. "Kind of busy at the moment."

"Listen, I don't know what Miss Stones has told you, but this is too dangerous for you or anyone else to be handling. We have children's lives on the line and we are stopping this." Jean-Pierre harshly cut Cameron off.

Cameron took a deep breath. "Yeah, well…Sorry but that's not happening."

"Excuse me?"

"I am not sure what XANA told you but he's the reason Aelita's friends are missing in the first place. He's using you to get rid of the only people who can stop him and you're letting him do that." Cameron pointed out. "We've agreed to help Aelita out until she rescues her friends and that's what we're going to do."

"If you don't let us down there right now, I'll call the police." Jean-Pierre threatened.

Cameron paused for a moment. "…You do what you have to do, Mr. Pierre. We'll do what we have to do."

With that, he hung up.

"Holy…" Cameron gasped and leaned back against the chair. "I can't believe I just mouthed off like that."

"Good job." LeShawna praised over the speakers. "For someone so small, you sure ain't afraid to be talking back to any bossy mouths."

"Well, we don't have a lot of time. If we don't figure a way out of this, he'll call the cops on us." Cameron replied. "And Aelita's stuck up there with them."

It should have been easy at this point.

With Aelita cornered by the adults, he could easily neutralize her and the rest her new allies without having to even activate a tower.

Until that principal foolishly threatened to call the police.

And seeing he was now dialing for them right now; it was clear that relying on a human to do an AI's job had been a big mistake.

Fine, he'll do it himself.

(XANA Attack Theme)

Cameron glanced up as the super-scan went off, beeping as the image of an activated tower appeared on the screen. "Oh no! We've got an activated tower!"

Just as Jean-Pierre was dialing for the police, his cellphone sparked which caused him to throw it away. The adults and Aelita watched as a specter rose up, taking the form of Aelita who let out a soft growl, her eyes morphing into the Eye of XANA.

"What in the-"

Before anyone could do anything, the polymorphic specter held up its hand and fired an electrical blast, knocking the adults down.

ZAP!

"GAH!"

"AHH!"

"OW!"

Aelita ducked and rolled out of the way in time, avoiding the blast as the parents and Jean-Pierre were knocked back and left unconscious on the ground. She looked up in time to see the specter facing her, holding up its hand and firing another blast at her.

"Guys, Aelita's being attacked by what looks like a duplicate of herself!" Cameron frantically informed the others as he watched from down in the lab. "I don't know what to do!"

"Where the tower?" Geoff asked.

"In the Forest Sector." Cameron answered. "Okay, we need Aelita to shut down the tower and I don't know how to guide you guys to another sector. We haven't covered that far."

"So, what do we do?" Bridgette asked worryingly.

ZAP!

BLAST!

Aelita just avoided another electrical blast but tripped on the ground. She grunted as she got up and looked over her shoulder, seeing the polymorph readying another blast.

"Aelita!" A voice shouted from above.

The clone looked up to see William swinging down and kicked the clone in the face with feet, knocking the clone off its feet and sending it crashing several feet away.

Dawn appeared behind Aelita, helping her up. "Are you all right?"

"I am but we need to move and fast." Aelita answered, looking to the elevator. "William, can you call Cameron? The elevator is locked."

William nodded, pulling out his phone and speed-dialed Cameron. "Cam, we're here. Can you unlock the elevator?"

"On it."

A second later, the elevator doors opened but the clone opened its eyes and stood up.

Dawn immediately noticed. "William!"

William turned his head and jumped out of the way of an electrical blast. "Gah! Go! Deactivate the tower!"

Dawn placed a hand on Aelita's shoulder. "Go, I help him."

"But-"

"The others are waiting for you now. Hurry." Dawn urged, pushing Aelita into the elevator.

The pink haired girl reluctantly nodded and pressed the down button, the doors closing as Dawn rushed to help William.

"You should go help her." William stated as Dawn stood next to her.

"She'll have Cameron and the others supporting her." Dawn replied, watching as the clone as it faced the pair. "You should not be alone, especially against an enemy like this."

The clone snarled, raising both hands that sparked with purple electricity.

The elevator doors opened, allowing Aelita to enter the lab. "Cameron, is everyone already on Lyoko?"

"Yeah, but they're in the wrong sector." Cameron answered, getting up from the chair to allow Aelita to sit down. "We don't know how to travel from Sector to Sector yet."

"Right, I'll go to the Mountain Sector and round them up." Aelita replied. "Keep an eye on William and Dawn for me."

"Right." Cameron nodded, taking the seat back and put the headset on. "Wait, Aelita. There's something else. Three signals appeared in the Ice Sector. I can't make out what they are."

Aelita paused and turned around. "Show me."

Cameron brought up a scan of the Ice Sector, showing the signals from before.

Aelita leaned in close, eyes narrowing and then widening. "I don't believe it."

"What is it?" Cameron asked.

"I think their Guardians." Aelita answered. "Monsters used to capture anyone. XANA used them on me and Yumi, but he stopped using them when we found a way to easily free anyone who was trapped."

"Three signals…your friends?" Cameron wondered aloud.

"XANA did promise to free them in exchange for handing me and William over." Aelita recalled. "They must be in the Ice Sector to keep them far away from the tower."

"So, what do we do?" Cameron asked.

Aelita took a moment to think things over. "Cameron, send me to Lyoko. I'll get the others and we'll secure the tower first but in the meantime, if those are Guardians we might be able to free whoever is inside. Look up the digital forms for Ulrich, Odd and Yumi and then wait for my instructions."

"Right." Cameron nodded, turning to the screen as Aelita rushed to the elevator. "Guys, Aelita's here and she's coming to get you."

"About time." Gwen called out.

Aelita pressed the down button again, taking the elevator to the scanner room. Once the doors opened, she rushed to nearest scanner as Cameron began the virtualization sequence.

(Virtualization Theme)

"Transfer Aelita."

The scanner closed.

"Scanner Aelita."

The ring of light traveled up her body.

"Virtualization."

There was a gust of wind followed by a blinding flash engulfed Aelita's form.

(Lyoko Theme)

Aelita landed on the ground and looked up to see the rest of the group waiting for her.

"Hey, girl." LeShawna waved a hand. "Took ya a long time."

"Sorry. I was taken off guard when the parents and my principal cornered me." Aelita stood up. "Cameron, are you still there?"

"Still here."

"Okay, first send the vehicles to us." Aelita instructed. "I'll lead everyone to the Way Tower so we can reach the Forest Sector."

"On it."

Seconds later, the three vehicles appeared.

"Oh, yeah. Nothing like riding in style." LeShawna hopped onto the Over-Cycle.

"Follow me. We can bring the vehicles into the tower." Aelita said, stepping onto the Over-Board.

Gwen took the Over-Wing with DJ behind her while Geoff hopped on Bridgette's board behind her. The three vehicles took off, following Aelita through the rocky terrain.

"Cameron, listen closely to me now. Do you have the avatar data for Ulrich, Odd, and Yumi?" Aelita asked.

"Yup."

"Okay, here's what you need to do." Aelita then delivered a series of technical instructions that Cameron understood while the rest of the group were left trading glances. "You got it?"

"On it."

"Uh…care to clue us in what's going on?" Geoff asked.

"Those signals Cameron detected came from three Guardians, monsters that XANA uses to trap people on Lyoko. I think he brought my friends back as part of the deal he tried to make." Aelita explained as the Way Tower came in sight. "Luckily, I know how to take out those Guardians. We can free my friends and stop XANA's attack all at once."

The group came upon the tower and Aelita first entered it with the Over-Board. The rest shared a look before following her in.

"Wow." DJ quietly said as the platform with the XANA Eye lit up signaling their entry.

"So this what the inside of a tower looks like." Gwen commented, looking at the walls.

The walls were blue with endless screens and codes running through them.

"So how do we get to the Forest Sector?" Geoff asked.

"We jump off this platform. When we do, we will fall into a data stream. That stream will take us to the Forest Sector. As you fall think of the Forest Sector, and the stream will take you there." Aelita explained, angling the Over-Board towards the edge. "You can bring the vehicles through the stream."

"That's good to know." LeShawna replied as she prepared to take the Over-Cycle off the platform.

"Ready, go."

Aelita flew off the platform and the others followed down the long dark blue tunnel. Lines of data passed them as they traveled through the tunnel. Then they could see another platform. They flew over it and followed Aelita through the wall and back out into Lyoko.

Only this time they were in the Forest Sector.

"Cool way to go!" Geoff exclaimed with an excited smile on his face.

"Nice, this looks a lot nicer." DJ looked around.

The Forest Region had been changed since the days where Aelita and her friends went into it. It had much more ground now and had shorter trees and objects to step on. It looked much more like a real forest, even having some rivers and more lakes in it that were not of the Digital Sea, but there were still plenty of places to fall into the Digital Sea from.

"Calm, quiet, peaceful... too good to be true." Gwen took out her scythe.

"Okay, Aelita. The program is ready." Cameron's voice cut in.

"Press the 'Enter' key." Aelita instructed.

"Here we go." Cameron pressed the 'Enter' key.

In the Ice Sector, three Guardians hovered above a large icy platform, their orange glow illuminating the sector.

Inside these guardians, Ulrich, Odd and Yumi were able to see and even move but they could not say anything to each other, their voices muffled by the monsters holding them. They didn't know what was going on, inside or outside of Lyoko so they could only wait.

Then, one by one, three images appeared with one in front of each guardian resembling the very humans they had been programmed to imprison.

Inside the Guardians, the three captive Lyoko Warriors noticed what was happening and they suddenly became hopeful.

Aelita was trying to save them!

This could be it!

They could break free and help her!

The Guardians reacted, seemingly confused by the sudden appearance of the very humans they had captive right now.

He grinned. "Nice try, Aelita."

Just as the Guardians were seemingly about to break, electrical orange energy crackled around them.

"Hm?" Cameron tilted his head. "Aelita, something's happening."

"What is it? Are the Guardians overloading?"

"There's been a spike of energy but-WHOA!"

(XANA Attack Theme)

One by one, the bolts of electrical energy reached out and touched the decoys Cameron had made, destroying them on contact. The three captives could only look on in stunned, horrified silence at their once effective tactic failing them.

"Aelita, the decoys were destroyed." Cameron informed with a look of surprise on his face. "The Guardians are still there and they still got them."

"What?!" Aelita gasped, horrified at the news.

She was so sure it would work but XANA had outwitted them again and he still had her friends captive. Now she was left to decide whether to save her friends…

Or save their families.
