Chapter 8: Jesus passing
Back in the dojo Vaggie was meditating trying to relax since she got royally pissed that Moxxie refused to quit and leave "*Gentle breathing* Inner peace…" she said softly as she slowed her breathing focusing "Inner peace…" she said as she heard a noise and got made annoyed at the flapping noise "Who ever is making that flapping noise cut it out and Quiet down!" She demanded as she continued to meditate…but was interrupted when Peter landed awfully on the floor breathing in a panic that vaggie didnt notice as she turned around smiling seeing the messenger "Oh Peter excellent I could use some good news now" she said as the saint was getting up and stalled a bit, he didnt want to get Vaggie mad…but he needs to tell the message from what happened at the prison.
Later on Vaggie rushed to the peach tree she Jesus was, after Peter told the fallen angel about Velvette this could mean trouble…really big trouble "Master! Master!" She yelled in a panic as the Messiah balanced on his staff looked at her with a soft smile "Yes?" "I have some bad news" said Vaggie as he got down "Ah Vaggie there is just news, there is no good or bad" he said wisely as Vaggie looked down "Master…your vision, your vision is right! Velvette has broken out of her prison! She is on her way" said Velvette "…that is bad news, if you do not believe that the angelic warrior can stop her" said Jesus calmly as Vaggie just stared at the humanoid. How can he know that this fat dumb greed imp is the 'angelic warrior' "That greed imp? Master the greed imp is not the angelic warrior, he wasnt even meant to be here!" She yelled but Jesus was calm "There are no accidents" he said as Vaggie sighed "Yes I know you've already said that…twice" she said "Well that was no accident either" he said with a chuckle "Yeah" she said agreeing "My old stunt, the Greed imp will never fulfill his destiny, nor yours until you let go of your delusion of control" he said confusing Vaggie.
"Delusion?" She asked "Yes *Gently touches the peach tree* look at this tree, I cannot make it blossom when it suits me, nor make it bare fruit nor its time" he said "But there are things that we can control!" Said Vaggie as she gave the tree a kick as peaches fell "I can control when the fruit will fall" however at that one peach knocked on her head as Jesus chuckled as she shook it off "And I can control…*tosses a peach in the air and sliced it in half revealing the seed* where to plant the seed *Slams her fist in the ground making a small hole* that is no delusion" she said as she threw the seed inside. "Ah yes, but no matter what you do that seed will always grow into a peach tree" said Jesus as Vaggie paced "You may wish for a apple or a orange but you will always get a peach" she said as Vaggie just nerves snapped at her master "but a peach cannot defeat Velvette!" She exclaimed as she felt Jesus touch her head as she calmed down but still panting nervously in slow breaths "Maybe it can if you are willing to guide it *Gently covers up the seed* you nurture it and believe in it" he said softly as Vaggie calmed down.
"But how? I need your help master?" She begged for Jesus advice as he gently smiled "No you just need to believe" he said "Promise me Vaggie, promise you will believe as Vaggie looked into the eyes of the Messiah and nodded "I…I…will try" she said softly "Good" he said looking up at the sky to the moon as blossom petals fell and floated out of the tree "My time has come, it is time to return to my father *passes the staff to the fallen angel* you must continue your journey without me" he said shocking Vaggie as she felt she wasnt ready for such a step!
"What? What are you…?" She asked confused does that mean she has to continue her journey with out Him? Is Jesus time really over? Many questions kept in her mind as Jesus faces the view once more as petals floated around her "Master you cant leave me! Master!" She cried as Jesus turned around facing Vaggie one last time "You must believe" he said softly as suddenly his whole body started to dissolve into petals and motes of light "Master!" Yelled Vaggie but all the petals floated around Jesus and he disappeared as she watched in sadness as the petals floated away.
Jesus always stood with Vaggie ever since Velvet was stopped. But now he is gone and Vaggie is on her own. She cluched the staff close and tight and know she must move on and she will believe…with out Jesus.
Authors note: with great sadness the Messiah must return to his father and Vaggie must move on without him and grow strong from it…it wont be easy but she can do it
Next chapter as Moxxie bonds with the other warriors Vaggie tells them that Velvette is on her way and he gets concerned if he can truly face Velvette
