In a sudden jolt, The Hunter awakens, breathing heavily as she takes in her surroundings. "So cold, but the air burns with every breath," she murmurs to herself, feeling the weight of time that has passed. Stepping out of her sarcophagus, she emerges into the morning light, surveying the meadow before her. "I know this place; in my dreams, it always feels so empty."
Descending the stairs, she senses a presence nearby. "But now I sense, I am not alone," she muses, her senses heightened as she scans the area. Spotting Blade perched on a pedestal, she approaches cautiously.
"Got to admit, Hunter, you make one helluva entrance," Blade remarks, leaping over her to stand before her path. "Guess that makes two of us."
"You should have struck me down when you had the chance, vampire. You will not live to regret your error," The Hunter warns, her hand inching towards her sword.
"Cute, and Caretaker told me to be nice," Blade sighs, his demeanor calm despite The Hunter's aggression. "Relax, Slayer. I'm a friend. You just don't know it yet."
The Hunter's memory clicks into place as she recalls seeing Blade with Sera and Felicia before. "Yes," she acknowledges, piecing it together. "But what would she want with a vampire unless..."
"The name's Blade, and I am no ordinary vampire. I get you've been out of commission, but I thought you'd notice since we're having a little showdown in the freaking sun," Blade explains, gesturing to the daylight around them, unaffected by its rays.
"A dhampir? Daywalkers were supposed to be a myth, even to me," The Hunter admits, surprised by this revelation.
"Says the half-human, half-demon monster hunter," Blade retorts, pointing out her own unique nature.
The Hunter's curiosity about Blade's origins piques her interest. "I do, and I must admit I am curious. Tell me, Daywalker, how did you come to be?" she inquires, eager to learn more about the enigmatic figure before her.
"Long story, and it's still not over. We managed not to kill each other for a while, and I'll tell you one day," Blade explains to The Hunter.
"I accept your challenge," The Hunter smirks, ready for whatever lies ahead.
"Right, as much as I'd love to see how much weirder this conversation can get, we should probably get moving," Blade suggests, urging them to focus on their mission.
"Agreed. The prophecy is in motion; I can feel it. We have wasted too much time already," The Hunter agrees, sensing the urgency of their situation.
"Man, the others are really gonna love you," Blade remarks with a smile.
"Others?" The Hunter questions, intrigued by the mention of others.
"Yeah, you've got a little fan club, I think. But why spoil the surprise? Hope you're up for the challenge, chosen one," Blade says as he walks away, leaving The Hunter to contemplate the mysteries surrounding her newfound allies.
Hunter follows Blade to the Abby, a large stone castle where the Midnight Suns are engaged in conversation. As they approach, Nico steps forward to introduce herself. "Hunter, I'm not sure if you remember me before, but I'm..." she begins.
"The witch who called me from the grave?" Hunter interrupts, recalling her previous encounter with Nico.
"Told you," Blade remarks to his team, a hint of satisfaction in his voice.
"Or Nico, but either works. And this is..." Nico continues, gesturing towards the rest of the group.
"Robbie Reyes," Robbie introduces himself, offering a fist bump that leaves Hunter momentarily puzzled. "Oh man, never thought I'd be standing next to you. I mean, Caretaker told me stories."
"Nero, grandson of the demon Sparda," Nero says as he shakes her hand firmly.
"I'm Felicia," Felicia chimes in, her voice carrying a playful purr.
"Trish," Trish says calmly, nodding in acknowledgment.
"Ruby Heart, Madam Hunter." Ruby said with a thick French ascent
"And here's Illyana," Nico introduces Magik.
"Privyet," Illyana greets Hunter with a nod, her demeanor more reserved compared to the others.
"And you've already met Blade," Nico adds, gesturing towards Blade, who nods in acknowledgment.
"Of course. Caretaker reformed the Midnight Suns. Though I didn't expect there to be this many compared to the original team," Hunter remarks, taking in the size of the group.
"A lot happened. Basically, universes colliding, robots invading... it was a mess. But we can talk about that later," Robbie explains, summarizing the tumultuous events that led to the group's expansion.
"So, welcome home, I guess," Nico says, looking at Hunter.
"I never left," Hunter reminds them.
"Yeah, but we made a few changes since you've been asleep for a few centuries," Nero tells her as they head inside. "It's still the Abby, you know, basic stuff like dorms, war room, library, a few places to chill, and the forge, which right now is under renovation due to a friend name Nicoletta Goldstein." He points to a large sign over the forge door that reads Devil May Cry.
"Gotta admit, for a haunted Transian castle raised on the grounds of old Salem, it's pretty cozy," Nico remarks as they continue inside. "Of course, that doesn't stop us from adding some of our own improvements. Thanks for the Wi-Fi, Robbie." Robbie gives a thumbs-up. "Oh, and we have a new houseguest. If you think we're a fun bunch, wait till you meet them. Speaking of, we're here." Nico leads them to the war room, where the Avengers are setting up computers next to the enchanted mirror table.
"Yeah, I spent 10 minutes alone in this place, Bruce, then see. Oh, gotta go, the show's about to start," Tony hangs up, and everyone looks at Hunter.
"Prophecies be damned. It's good to see that face again. You look like it was yesterday," Caretaker says with a smile as she sees her niece.
"And you look... older," Hunter tries to find the right words for her aunt. Everyone gathers around the mirror table, sharing smiles. Even Tony gives a thumbs-up.
"How long was I in the crypt?" Hunter asks.
"No more than a few centuries. You were missed," Sera answers warmly.
"Centuries?" Hunter can't believe it. "And what of Lillith?"
"Fallen by your hand," Sera reveals.
"Until recently. Yeah, your mom did a massive beatdown recently," Dante adds.
"And speaking of Lillith..." Tony starts, but Carol interrupts him.
"Tony," she calls out to him.
"What, the kids are literally speaking of Lillith," Tony insists.
"Tony," Strange interjects, correcting him.
"That's my name. Tony Stark. That's Carol, Dr. Spooky, the Sword Twin 1, X, and the Woman with No Boundaries, we're here to help" Tony introduces the team opening his face plate, giving them his own unique nicknames, to which some of them sigh and pout.
"Help with what exactly?" Hunter asks them.
"Oh, I dunno, throwing a magic ring into a volcano, slaying the dragon mother? You tell us, kid, you're the chosen one," Tony quips, earning groans from the group at his obvious references.
"Do you recall anything of your last encounter?" Sera asks her.
Everyone looks at Hunter expectantly. "There was a voice," Hunter begins, trying to remember, but the pieces are too fragmented. "The rest is too hazy."
"A voice? That's it? A voice? That's what we have to go on?" Tony sounds irritated by the lack of information.
"Results of your long slumber, most likely," Sera guesses, offering a possible explanation.
"A minor inconvenience. Everything required to restore those memories is contained within the sanctum. I will simply alert Wanda to prepare the necessary rituals," Strange says confidently. He concentrates, and his hands glow blue, but they flicker on and off as if there's interference.
"What, straight to voicemail?" Nico asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Some Sorcerer Supreme," Magik commented, clearly unimpressed.
"Must be the mystical interference caused by this little pocket dimension of yours," Strange said, looking pointedly at Sera.
"Perhaps Agatha can help," Hunter suggested, recalling the great sorceress Agatha Harkness. Everyone winced and looked away, avoiding the topic.
"Allow me. Allotou!" Sera conjured a spell, and the mirror table came to life. Its surface molded and shifted, eventually displaying a view of Greenwich and the Sanctum, where Wanda was visible inside.
"What kind of network are you running here?" Carol asked, intrigued by the mirror table.
"The all-seeing eye of Ereshkigal Who Judges... bound to the enchanted Babylonian soul glass," Sera explained.
"We just call it the mirror table," Robbie added with a shrug.
"Wanda!" Magik called out, her voice filled with worry as they saw Wanda on the table's display.
"Dark forces are pushing through the ward... Stephen, where the hell are you?" Wanda cried out before disappearing from view.
"That's impossible. Nothing on Earth could possibly affect those wards," Strange said aloud, his voice filled with shock and concern.
"Wanda's in trouble," Trish said, her voice tense.
"Wanda is trouble," Sera remarked, fully aware of the dangers the Scarlet Witch posed.
"I'll go," Blade volunteered, already preparing himself.
"You need my help, of course," Doctor Strange added, ready to join the rescue mission.
"Same here, time to kick ass," Dante said as he stretched, loosening up for the fight ahead.
"Then let us make haste. Our hunt begins now," Hunter declared with determination. With their resolve steeled, the group moved quickly, each ready to face whatever dangers awaited them at the Sanctum.
Hunter saw Doctor Strange meditating outside, his expression deeply troubled. "After several fluctuations in the astral spectrum, I should be seeing something," he muttered. "If Bruce is right about gamma interference—if such a thing could exist—the wards have been activated before, and I've never seen such a reaction."
"You okay, Doc? You talk a lot when you're worried," Dante remarked, observing Strange.
Strange saw Hunter approaching. "Are you ready? The prophecy of the Midnight Sun does not linger, and neither should we," he said. "Lilith possesses the Darkhold. If she forced her way into my Sanctum Sanctorum once, I suspect she can do it again."
"You're the Sorcerer Supreme. Can you not predict her movements?" Hunter asked.
"Normally, yes. But ever since your mother breached my sanctum, my sense of the future has grown velutinous in nature," Strange replied.
"Is that another language or...?" Hunter began.
"It means the future is blind to his own eyes," Dante interjected, checking his sword.
"Thank you, Dante," Strange said. "For the first time as Sorcerer Supreme, I cannot foresee how the future unfolds. And with my apprentice in danger, we cannot tarry."
"I understand the urgency. Your apprentice is in grave danger, yes?" Hunter asked, noticing the tension in Strange's demeanor.
"Wanda is no mere apprentice. She is the Scarlet Witch, one of the strongest magical practitioners I have encountered," Strange replied. "But she hasn't channeled that much power since… never mind, one crisis at a time."
Strange quickly shifted the subject. "I don't doubt Wanda's capabilities, but without my predictive acumen, I cannot bolster the wards she needs. Still, the wards are woven into the Sanctum's very essence. They should hold. In any case we must go."
Dante, Hunter, and Strange meet up with Blade, Sera, and Magik at the wild cliffs. "Bout time," Blade said, showing his impatience.
"Not just about time, Mr. Brooks," Strange replied, preparing for one of his mystical explanations.
"Oh boy, here we go," Dante remarked, anticipating Strange's detailed explanation.
"Time, space, reality—the building blocks of magic all must be constant for my portals to work properly. Yet as we now know, that is no longer the case," Strange said, attempting to summon a portal, but failing.
"We've heard," Blade interjected.
"Several times," added Magik.
"Otherwise, I would still be hunting dread maidens in my sleep," Hunter said.
"Indeed, and while I certainly appreciate the view from this vista," Strange said, momentarily admiring the scenery from the top of the cliffs, "I fail to see how it will hasten our return to the Sanctum."
"Magik is the answer," Sera said, prompting everyone to look at Illyana.
"No, I just stated, magic is the problem," Strange said, but Dante elbowed him lightly to stop his pacing.
"Magik with a 'k'," Dante clarified, nodding towards Illyana.
"Thank you for the compliment," Magik said with a hint of pride.
"But how?" Strange asked, still confused.
"The ground you're standing on exists in two worlds," Sera explained. "A mystical anchor point to Illyana's realm that allows her to... well, I'll just let her show you."
The mystical mutant, Illyana Rasputin, aka Magik, charged herself with magic. Through her body and her sword, she swiped several times, cutting through the dimensional barrier and creating a portal.
"Deja vu," Dante remarked, noting the similarity to how his twin brother, Vergil, created portals with his sword.
"Any questions?" Illyana asked, raising an eyebrow.
Hunter, Dante, Blade, and Strange said nothing and simply strolled into the portal
As they walked through, they entered Limbo, a realm between realms that's nightmarish and connects different realities.
"You're in Limbo, the nexus of all realities that connect to all realities," Sera explained through the communication link. "A chaotic realm far from Lilith's hold."
"Are you sure? I'm sensing a lot of..." Hunter started.
"Dark energy? Feeling of being watched? General hellhole vibe?" Blade interjected.
"Yes," Hunter confirmed.
"All potentialities converging at one spot? A truly surprising feat, Ms. Rasputin, for someone so young, of course," Strange said, astonished.
Hunter gazed into the different realms and possibilities.
"You think this is crazy? Wait till we arrive," Dante said as they walked towards the exit portal.
The group stepped through the portal and out of limbo.
In Greenwich, Manhattan, a portal opened on Bleecker Street. Strange, Dante, Blade, and Hunter emerged.
"Welcome to modern-day Manhattan, Hunter," Dante said, jesting as a tour guide. Some civilians bumped into Hunter, but she didn't mind. "And if you look to your right, we have 177A Bleecker Street—the Sanctum Sanctorum."
They arrived outside the Sanctum and saw the wards of protection still in place. "At least we know the wards are holding," Strange said as they looked at the Sanctum. Suddenly, the ground shook violently.
"For now," Blade said, his tone cautious.
"I suggest we hurry," Strange said. But before they could move further, Hydra forces pulled up in armored vehicles.
"Don't let anyone get through," a Hydra officer ordered the troops.
The four of them prepared for battle, ready to defend the Sanctum.
The four heroes fought the hordes of Hydra enemies fiercely.
"I'm detecting minimal Hydra forces in your area," Sera said through the comms.
"Looks can be deceiving. There's no way they're behind the wards of protection failing," Strange said, using the Flames of the Faltine on an enemy.
"Then this must be a diversion," Dante said, pulling out King Cerberus in fire staff mode and taking down some Hydra foes.
"From what?" Hunter asked, slashing with her twin swords and using a whip spell to throw a Hydra soldier into a newspaper stand.
A soldier was about to attack Hunter from behind, but suddenly, "SPINNING BIRD KICK!" A female voice shouted, delivering a powerful upside-down spinning kick.
They turned to see Interpol's greatest agent, Chun-Li. "Did I miss anything?" she asked.
"Chun-Li, know anything about these Hydra agents?" Blade asked, taking one down with his sword.
"They've been moving around a lot for something massive, same with Shadaloo," Chun-Li said.
Hunter threw a Hydra agent into a truck, ready to kill him with a punch, but Doctor Strange used a spell to hold her back.
"Easy there, Chica," Dante said.
"Remember, Hydra is still human, not Lilith," Strange reminded her.
Hunter removed the Hydra soldier's mask to reveal demonic green eyes and a needle with green liquid in his neck. "You were saying?" Hunter retorted.
"The lifeblood of the Mother pumps through our veins. The Mother is eternal, Hydra is eternal!" The soldier chanted. The green liquid poured into him, causing a seizure before he died.
"Lilith's influence," Strange noted grimly.
"Looks like she's taken control of more than just demons," Blade said, readying his weapons.
"We need to get to Wanda, now," Hunter insisted, her urgency growing.
"Agreed," Strange said. "Let's move."
Before they could think about entering the sanctum, the ground shook again and large black tendrils wrapped around the building, breaking the wards.
"Wanda!" Strange cried out in worry. "Don't worry, I'll handle it." He attempted a spell to get rid of the tendrils, but not only did it fail, it nearly hurt Hunter as her collar stung.
"Or not," Strange admitted.
"HAHAHAHAHA! We do not fear your magic, little wizard!" a voice called out, a chilling reminder to Chun-Li.
"Strange, I know that voice," Chun-Li said, and they saw Venom—Eddie Brock merged with the symbiote—risen but corrupted by Lilith. His appearance was twisted with green glowing eyes and massive demonic horns.
"We have answered the Mother's call. We ARE VENOM TO ALL WHO OPPOSE HER AND YOU…ARE LUNCH!" Venom leaped into the air to attack.
"Venom, last time I saw you, you were playing playtime with Jedah," Dante quipped.
"The Dark Messiah does not control us, WE OBEY THE MOTHER!" Venom roared, clearly under extreme influence.
Hunter drew her weapons, her resolve hardening. "We need to cut through him to get to Wanda."
"Let's show this overgrown parasite why that was a bad idea," Dante said, readying his sword and guns.
With Venom charging at them, Strange quickly cast protective wards around the group while Dante and Blade flanked Venom, attacking with precision. Chun-Li's martial prowess kept her agile, avoiding Venom's tendrils and striking with powerful kicks.
Hunter confronted Venom head-on, using her twin swords to parry his attacks. "You may be strong, but you'll find we are not easily broken!" she shouted, her determination clear.
Venom's tendrils whipped around, but Strange's magic shielded them while he analyzed the corrupted symbiote's weaknesses. "His corruption is deep. We need to sever Lilith's influence to weaken him," Strange advised.
Dante, noticing the symbiote's reaction to fire, switched King Cerberus to its fire mode. "Looks like fire's a good deterrent!" he called out, sending a wave of flames at Venom.
The battle raged on, each hero using their unique abilities to fend off the relentless attacks of Venom. They knew they had to win quickly if they were to save Wanda and stop Lilith's influence from spreading further.
Venom lashes his tendril attacks the heroes and roars. He leaps onto the tendrils that surround the sanctum and Hunter follows. "You won't escape demon!" Hunter leaps after him but Venom grabs her in mid-air and pins her. The others try to help but Venom summons 4 more tendrils to pin them.
"SUCH…EASY…PREY…" Venom growls hungrily and uses his long serpent tongue to lick Hunter, to which she is disgusted by and her armor damaged by Venom power. Before venom can bite her head off his mouth was shut by webbing. "WHAT?" Venom growls and he knows who is coming
"Hey big guy!" They all see non other than New Yorks friendly neighborhood Spider-Man swing into action and kick Venom through a truck. He lands and see the heroes free themselves. "I was in the neighborhood, you know, being friendly, seemed like you folks needed a hand, Doc" Spidey looked at the Sorcerer supreme
"SPIDER-MAN!" The only thing that can ignore the call of Lillith to venom is the absolute hatred for Spider-Man because of the rejection from the Symbiote and the hate of Eddie Brock which gave birth to this symbiotic monster.
"Geez Eddie, What happened to you? Thats..sort of a horrifying terrible new look. That tongue is already gross enough…Whoa!" Spidey quipped and dodged a car being thrown at him by venom. "Someone's is extra touchy today."
"WE WILL RIP OFF YOUR FACE OFF AND SUCK THE MARROW FROM YOUR BONES!" Venom shouted as he leaps to the side of a building to get Spider-Man.
"Always nice to see you, buddy." Spidey quips and looks at the group. "So…I'm thinking your friends here could use a little break, how about I take Eddie for his afternoon walk?" They hear Venom roar and approach quickly. "Don't worry everyone that just means he cares." Spidey said and swings away and Venom roars and swings in pursuit of the web-slinger.
They look at the sanctum and the tendril are too well guarded by Venom and no way they're getting inside the have to have to the Abbey or rescue Wanda.
As the portal to the Abbey crackled to life, the team emerged and saw caretaker with her expression a mix of sarcasm and disappointment. "Congratulations," she muttered, her tone dripping with irony as she surveyed the group's latest escapade.
Hunter's response was swift, her words laced with a hint of resignation. "New world or not, some things never change," she remarked, acknowledging the familiar dynamic of their missions.
Blade caught Caretaker's expression and recognized it immediately. "The look," he muttered knowingly, understanding the weight of Caretaker's silent admonition.
Dante, ever the curious one, couldn't help but inquire. "What look?" he pressed, eager to decipher the unspoken communication.
Chun-Li, with the wisdom of experience, offered her insight. "That look, Strange. Trust me, I'm a mother," she remarked, her tone tinged with maternal concern.
Caretaker's frustration bubbled to the surface as she addressed Hunter directly. "Bodily charging headfirst into the jaws of your enemy, courageously risking the lives of yourself and your teammates, just to play the hero. This is the Fire Dragon all over again," she chided, her annoyance palpable.
Hunter stood her ground, her pride evident in her response. "Fire Dragon? My memories may be fragmented, but as I recall, I killed the bastard," she declared defiantly, reliving the triumph of her past victories.
Sera's retort was swift and cutting. "And all it cost was a village," she pointed out, her words a sobering reminder of the sacrifices made in the pursuit of victory.
Strange's comprehension dawned slowly, the pieces of the puzzle falling into place. "Oooooh," he murmured, finally grasping the significance of Caretaker's reproach.
Chun-Li couldn't resist a smirk as she observed the realization dawning on Strange. "Now you're getting it," she quipped, her amusement evident.
Dante attempted to defend their actions, seeking to ease the tension. "Sera, cut some slack. It wasn't that simple," he protested, though his words held a note of uncertainty.
Sera's response was sharp and unyielding, her tone leaving no room for argument. "Says the demon hunter with a debt the size of his ego. It never is that simple," she retorted, her words a sobering reminder of the complexities of their chosen path.
"Which is why I sent you to help. If Spider-Man hadn't come to help today, we could have lost more than…" Strange interjected, his concern evident as he glanced towards the besieged Sanctum.
"Than the Sanctum?" Blade chimed in, his voice reflecting the gravity of the situation.
"Or Wanda?" Dante added, acknowledging the potential consequences of their actions.
"She means I could've died, again. Putting an end to her eternal crusade against my mother," Hunter pointed out, her tone resolute despite the weight of her words.
Sera's eyes flashed with a golden hue, a sign of her building anger, but she quickly composed herself, her gaze softening as she looked at the group. "You've been through a lot. For now, it's enough that you all made it back in one piece… more or less," she remarked, her concern evident in her voice as she glanced at Hunter's battle-worn armor.
Chun-Li, Strange, Dante, and Blade exchanged glances before turning towards the Abbey, silently acknowledging the need for respite and reflection. "We'll talk more later," Sera said to Hunter before turning away and walking off into the distance, leaving the group to ponder the events of the day and the challenges that lay ahead.
Hunter feels a sense of disappointment lingering as she walks back to the Abbey, her thoughts weighed down by the perceived failure of the mission. Suddenly, she notices Tony Stark standing by the door of the Abbey, clad in casual attire with his trademark Arc reactor glowing on his chest.
"Hey, for what it's worth, I think you did okay out there," Tony remarks, his tone laced with a hint of admiration. "You got some decent hang time, even if you're wearing what, 70-80 pounds of chainmail. On the Stark scale of reckless yet daring heroics, I give that a 6 out of 10. Don't worry, you'll get there, with a little help."
Perplexed by his cryptic words, Hunter furrows her brow. "And where exactly am I going?" she asks, seeking clarification.
Tony chuckled, his smirk widening as he observed Hunter's reaction. "Oh, that's the real question, isn't it? Sky's the limit for you, my friend. Unless you're willing to wear a space helmet? You do breathe air, don't you? You know what, never mind," he concluded, leaving Hunter with more questions than answers. Despite the ambiguity, Tony's words carried a hint of encouragement.
"I couldn't help but overhear Auntie Caretaker over there telling you to get some rest. Sounds like a good idea to me," Tony remarked kindly, offering his support. "I suppose I could keep you company on the way, seeing as our rooms are in the same direction and all. Besides, no one should be forced to walk the hallways alone," he added, extending his companionship to Hunter after the disappointment of the failed mission.
As they walked towards Hunter's room, Tony observed the modest surroundings, noting the room's functionality and solid construction. "So here we are. The ole' room, huh?" he remarked, glancing around the space. "It's not bad, functional, solid construction, almost cozy. Love the antique furniture from the early Mephisto collection," he commented with a sigh, his eyes lingering on Hunter for a moment.
Tony leaned in slightly, his expression shifting to one of earnestness as he addressed Hunter. "Full transparency, Hunter, there's another reason why I asked to join you here other than my aspect Terror of the entire facility," he confessed, his voice carrying a weight of seriousness as he prepared to divulge his thoughts to her. "Stopped here before, while you were out wanted to surprise you with a nice little housewarming present. Was all set to write you a lovely welcome note but I'm fairly certain that wasn't red ink in your quill," he explained, a shiver running down his spine at the thought of the unsettling elements lurking within the new base.
"Quill, I don't own a quill," Hunter remarked, her tone tinged with confusion.
"Even better," Tony responded, his eyes widening slightly as a small sense of fear crept into his expression.
"Relax, Tony, it's simply a jest," Hunter reassured the armored avenger, her voice laced with humor. "It's ink from the red spider lily flower."
"Of course, obviously," Tony laughed, his tone light to mask the fact that he was slightly unnerved, fearing that his arc reactor might flicker off in his moment of fear.
"With a touch of manphibian blood for power," Hunter teased, adding to the banter.
"Hahaha, another zinger. We'll leave it at that," Tony responded, not wanting to delve too deeply into the unsettling implications.
"Well, I suppose I should leave before whatever monstrosity that's most definitely hiding under your bed comes out, rips my face off, and then proceeds to feast on my soul. I'll leave you to it," Tony said, making light of the situation as he prepared to depart.
"May your sleep bring pleasant dreams, Tony," Hunter replied with a smile, offering a warm farewell.
"Back at you. Oh, and if you hear the shrieking of a grown man, please ignore it; it's just me walking to my room," Tony admitted before leaving the room, acknowledging his unease with the supernatural and admitting that being in a haunted house was both terrifying and amusing for him and the other supernatural heroes alike.
Hunter looks at her present on the bed and opens it to find what appears to be a phone. Soon, a chibi version of Iron Man appears on the screen, delivering a pre-recorded message. "Hi, I'm Tony Stark. Besides saving the world, I also solve the world's problems with technological means, like the one you're holding," the recording of Tony says. "I call it the Spark, a secure information and communication device built for superheroes. It does all the usual—private messages, pictures, and calls for some reason—but it also comes with Superlink, a private world network exclusively for cape-wearing, world-saving compatriots. You might be asking, 'Tony, are you reprogramming a failed product from your communication division?' If you do, I'll just revoke your access. I call it the Wonder Man mute." The recording stops, and Hunter sees that all of her friends have made accounts, and there's news about Venom's attack with Hydra.
She smiles and takes off her armor, then goes to her closet to put on her nightgown to sleep. Since it's 2024, she's been given better clothes, which consist of a T-shirt and pants. She puts them on, finding them comfy, and then heads to bed.
