~XxX-Earthland; Giltina: City of Trinity, 20 Years Prior-XxX~

Explosions of energy and elemental powers clashed and shook the land. Lightning flashed and shockwaves blasted outwards in tremendous waves of energy.

Roars of a massive beast sounded followed by the excited and eager laughter of a human who had undoubtedly lost his sanity.

The ground shook as the massive creature crash landed on the ground, "Damn you, you human's are so bothersome!" the animal snarled out.

"Well, then it's a good thing we haven't gotten serious then; Lightning Dragon King Elexion!" a eager voice responded.

"And what will you do after, Mercphobia is still on a rampage!" Elexion snarled, "You can't possibly hope to stop the both of us on your own, human!" Elexion told his adversary, "You're heavily injured, low on power, what you can you possibly hope to achieve!?"

"This is just a scratch!" the human declared with a chuckle before he gathered his power. But rather than simply blast it out as he had been, he condensed and pushed it all into his right hand. A golden glow enveloped the limb before crimson lightning surged out as he expelled vast amounts of power that tore the ground to shreds.

"Even after all this fighting, you haven't learned anything." Elexion growled out. This humans power was nothing compared to a dragon's own, why would he put up a fight knowing he couldn't so much as kill him.

While the dragon would concede in saying he was injured, various cuts and gashes across his body were bleeding profusely and it was highly unlikely this human would be able to do much else against him-much less Mercphobia who was vastly larger and far stronger than him.

The human grinned, "Then you'll never change." he told Elexion.

Then, he jumped up into the air, the Dragon roaring as he exhaled a massive blast of electric energy. However, this blast was stopped when the human had drawn his arm back and slammed it down towards the ground with a growl, "HRAH!" where a massive blast of golden energy mixed with lightning slamming into the dragon. Elexion grunted in surprise as he watched his Breath Attack get dispersed as if it were nothing more than a gentle breeze. Rings of energy expanded outwards before the blast itself slammed down into him and exploded; filling the air with dust and debris-swallowing both man and dragon alike.

BOOM-CRASH~!

The earth shook and quaked under the brunt of the attack as the energy expanded into a dome of light and destruction. Seconds later, the human jumped out of the cloud he had created where he landed on the ground with enough force to crater it. Black and crimson lightning arced around his body before he leapt into the air; a screeching sound following from the sheer force of his speed.

SHEE-WERM~!

A crimson line of light crossed back and forth across the valley between the hills as it shot towards the coastline, where a massive blue dragon was rampaging through a small city. The sheer speed of his blitz towards the dragon happened seconds after his passing, the ground rupturing and exploding up from the force of his speed caused the earth to shake and crumble apart.

The sound of the mans approach stopped the blue reptile where he turned and balked in shock, "WHAA~!" the dragon exclaimed.

Was this human insane!?

He was charging straight at him without even thinking about what he was trying to accomplish-had he taken too much damage from the fighting!? No, that couldn't be it, he must have a few screws loose to be doing this, so the real question was just simply; WHY!?

"YOU!? WHY ARE YOU COMING THIS WAY!?" Mercphobia exclaimed in shock as he watched the human race towards him like a shooting star, then the balked at the sheer lunacy at what he realized what was about to transpire. If it was possible for a dragon to sweat in fear, then this was most certainly that time. A human blitzing not just one dragon, but two-with him succeeding in dropping one of them with a single strike; it was a frightening thought to think such a monster could exist without having any access to Dragon Slayer Magic, and yet-OH SHIT; "WAIT! DON'T YOU CARE ABOUT WHAT'LL HAPPEN TO THE CITY!?" he screeched out in panic towards the rapidly approaching human.

If Mercphobia had possessed arms, they would have been flailing around in panic.

Instead of answering, the human gathered his power into his arm-the golden glow growing to the point it looked like his arm had turned itself into a star, energy blasting out as his body was unable to contain the sheer excess any further as more lightning blasted out with thunderous snarls. His eyes glowed white-red from the sheer amount of power he was channeling, the air crackling with mixed effects of his strength, and then he declared boldly without fear; "Sovereignty... ...DIVIDE~!"

~XxX-Earthland; Fiore: Magnolia, Present Day-XxX~

It was late at night in the town of Magnolia, and it was raining. Currently all the denizens of the fair town were huddled away in either their homes or in bars, waiting out the rain as they spent time with their friends and those close to them.

At the edge of the town though, in a small yet comfortable house that had been built into a tree, two people were sat around a table discussing less than pleasant things. One of the people was a short, elderly looking man with a shock of white hair protruding from the sides of his head, and a bald dome on top. A large whiskery moustache covering his upper lip as he clasped a mug of ale in one hand, a slight frown on his face as he was lectured by the other person in the room. This person being a tall, stick thin woman, with greying, pink hair tied in a bun at the back of her head, and old looking reddish colored eyes. A stern expression prominent on her face as she laid into her guest.

"You're an old fool Makarov! And when I say old I mean it." a feminine voice snarled out angrily, "You're not a young man anymore, the stress of running the Guild and being a Wizard Saint, it's too much. You won't be able to keep this up much longer, you need to retire. If you continue to push yourself like this, then I'm not sure how much longer you'll be able to keep it up!" the elderly pink haired woman-Porlyusica, who is a former member of the Wizarding Guild Fairy Tail, scolded him. The frown on her face intensifying as she saw the stubborn expression on Makarov's face. A mixture of irritation and concern for one of her closest and oldest friends, forcing her to intervene before the silly man worked himself to death.

"You have to take a break as Guild Master, take some time to allow your body to actually commit itself to recovery!" Porlyusica told him as she crossed her arms over her chest. Porlyusica was a slim, elderly woman with pink hair, tied in a bun on the back of her head and reddish eyes, she was one of Makarov's closest friends and a former member of Fairy Tail.

"Nonsense!" Makarov, the current Guild Master of Fairy Tail, replied stubbornly to the pink haired woman, the frown still on his face as he tried to ignore the concern he could see in Porlyusica's gaze.

Makarov was an extremely short elderly man and the current Guild Master of Fairy Tail.

Only for his scowl to falter as he felt the woman's gaze boring into him.

"You're worrying about nothing. I mean, I'm feeling just fine, I'm just a little stressed is all!" Makarov continued with a frown appearing on his face as he did so, skirting around the truth, despite feeling more the truth of her words in his old and tired body.

He was old, he was tired and the stress of the Guild was not making it any easier on him.

Deep down he knew she was right.

"Just a bit stressed?! You're just as big a fool as you always were. You look like you're about to collapse any moment now!" Porlyusica replied harshly, her face darkening as she tried to impress upon Makarov the importance of what she was saying, "If you keep this up, you'll die, you silly old man!"

"I won't die, at least not with you by my side," Makarov half-joked with a dry chuckle, as he sent his friend a crooked half-hearted grin at the scowling Porlyusica. Trying to put her mind at ease and also get her off his back. Not that it worked on getting Porlyusica to divert her attention from the current conversation.

"Old fool, you know as well as I do that I'm not a miracle worker; even I can't help you if you die... Makarov, you don't have to retire for good. Like I said, just take a break, not a long one, maybe just a few months, I'm not saying you have to retire for good. You just need a break or a holiday from the stress of being Guild Master, not a long one either... you can have Erza or Laxus maybe even Gildarts if you can find him to take charge until then," The pink haired woman suggested, a slight sigh leaving her mouth as she brought one of her hands to her temple and began massaging it. Seriously though; what was it with Dreyar men and being stupidly stubborn?

She truly was looking out for his well-being. While it was true she disliked most humans, Makarov was one of the few humans she liked, an exception to her rule.

As if sensing what she was thinking, Makarov's half-grin grew a bit more genuine, much to Porlyusica's irritation.

Makarov sighed slightly as he heard her suggestion, his brow furrowing as he thought about the prospect of taking time away from Fairy Tail, and the kind of shenanigan's its members, his pseudo children, would get embroiled in without his guiding hand, "I can't... those children, my children, they need me..." he told her softly.

"I'm sure they do, but at this rate your body will fail you and then you'll die. Now, or their sake, if not for your own I suggest you either retire or at the very least take a break. What you do is up to you of course, but if you want to die then so be it! I'll morn you, and I'll miss you, but I will also know I did everything I could do to help you." Porlyusica snapped out bluntly, her tone cutting through Makarov's excuses and hitting home as his smile faded; a frown marring her face as she did so, turning slightly solemn as she spoke of the fate that could befall Makarov if he were not careful.

"I guess you're right, I guess I really do need to relax," Makarov finally admitted with a sigh, the stubborn scowl fading from his face as he exhaled deeply; his body deflating a bit as he sagged slightly in exhaustion.

Her words had finally reached him.

The elderly woman only nodded, glad that he had at last heeded her words, seeing this Makarov continued, "I guess I'll have to think about who the new part-time guild Master will be..." he said with a huff; not really sure if this was a good idea or not.

Gonna stop it right there; keep the opening chapter nice and short so as to be able to actually build up the story without giving out anything to major.

Yes, I know we see 'someone' fighting two dragon's at the start of the story, but I am sure that even when you read this note, you've already figured out just who exactly it is that was dealing out the can of Whoop-Ass to the unruly beasts.

Anyways LIKE/FAVORITE/FOLLOW to show me you enjoyed the story and don't forget to COMMENT/REVIEW to let me know what you think of this one.

Talk to you guys later-peace!
