Watching the green serum slowly enter Cyclops's body, Phoenix felt a bit anxious. Although she had great confidence in Ye Hai, it was impossible not to worry about her boyfriend.

On the contrary, Cyclops remained remarkably composed, acting as if he didn't care. This was the difference between him and Phoenix. As the captain of the X-Men, Cyclops had experienced countless battles and had long forged a heart of steel, unwavering and steadfast—this kind of challenge couldn't shake his resolve.

Before long, the serum took effect. Cyclops felt a sharp pain in his brain, as if his cells were constantly tearing apart and reassembling. About ten minutes later, the pain subsided, and he realized that his eyes seemed to have gained a new switch; he could freely control his powers. This feeling was unmistakable, similar to sensing his own limbs.

"It seems to be working," Cyclops said with a grin, trying to reach for his blindfold.

Phoenix quickly stopped him, saying, "Let's head to the training area and test it out."

"Alright," Cyclops nodded slightly at Ye Hai, expressing his gratitude.

Soon, the three arrived at the training facilities for mutants, which housed numerous training areas filled with various kinds of mutants.

They entered one of the training halls, where several mutant students were present. Ye Hai was pleasantly surprised to see Electro, who was getting along well with the other students, seemingly having adapted to the environment.

"Hey, Electro, looks like you're doing well here!" Ye Hai greeted.

"Yes, Dr. Ye," Electro approached with a satisfied smile. His body was still covered in wire-like structures, pulsing with blue light. He said, "These kids are wonderful! They aren't scared of me. In a way, we're all monsters; we understand each other."

"Yeah, we're all monsters," Ye Hai chuckled, looking at his glowing form. "So, do you still want to change your appearance?"

Electro hesitated a moment and said, "You mean go back to how I used to look? Honestly, I'm indifferent about it. But sure, it would be nice to return to my original form—at least I wouldn't scare anyone when I go out."

Phoenix added, "Electro has agreed to join the X-Men, but he still lacks control over his abilities and needs further training. Dr. Ye, if you have the time, we hope you can help him regain his original appearance; it would be more convenient for him during missions."

"Sure, no problem." Ye Hai was intrigued by Electro's abilities and readily agreed.

"Seems like Dr. Ye is truly capable of anything," Cyclops remarked with slight admiration. He then walked aside, calling out to the students who were playfully training, "Kids, I need to do a test. Can you all take a break for a moment?"

The students quickly scampered aside, curiously watching Cyclops.

With a slight smile, Cyclops removed his blindfold. He kept his eyes tightly closed, his eyelids trembling slightly, hesitating and feeling a bit frightened.

"What's wrong, Scott?" Phoenix asked.

Cyclops forced a smile and confessed, "I'm afraid of failing!"

Ye Hai reassured him, "Don't worry; just open your eyes. Even if you lose control and release a laser, this training area can handle it."

"Okay," Cyclops replied, facing an open space before slowly opening his eyes. The vibrant colors before him were dazzlingly beautiful, captivating him instantly.

He didn't release a laser.

Then his eyes moist with emotion, he was thrilled, greedily soaking in the gorgeous scenery. It had been many years since he last saw such a beautiful world. The world he viewed through his ruby visor had been a monotonous red, a color that accompanied him for decades. Every time he activated the ruby visor, it was to unleash a laser, completely obscuring the external scenery.

"You did it!" Phoenix exclaimed joyfully.

"Yes, I succeeded," Cyclops beamed. "Now let me show you the power of my eyes."

In the distance, several targets stood set up for training. Without the visor, Cyclops struggled at first to adjust. After a while, he settled his aim, and like pulling the trigger of a sniper rifle, two thick beams of red light shot forth.

With a loud explosion, the targets erupted into flames; the laser didn't stop there but shot far beyond.

Everyone was dumbfounded—this power was incredible!

Phoenix was astonished, asking, "What just happened, Scott? It seems your laser has become much stronger."

"Yes, I never had this level of power before," Cyclops replied, equally shocked. "Could it be that my level has increased?"

Ye Hai waved his hand. "No, you haven't leveled up. I simply adjusted the power of your laser abilities to the maximum. I also added a modulating function to your abilities, allowing you to adjust the intensity as you wish—from the strength you just demonstrated to the nuance of igniting a cigarette. You won't need a grill while barbecuing with your girlfriend; you can just use your eyes to roast chicken wings. Have you two ever had barbecued chicken wings? Phoenix, Cyclops?"

The two exchanged wry smiles; this guy's creativity was truly astonishing. With his abilities, it seemed he could add components to a human body at will.

Seeing that they hadn't responded, Ye Hai excitedly continued, "Cyclops, on top of that, each of your eyes can control independently. One eye can shoot a laser while the other one enjoys the view of beautiful women. How's that? Satisfied?"

"Awesome! Thank you, Dr. Ye. Your research has surprised me—I can hardly process it all at once," Cyclops said with mixed emotions. "I think I need some time to adapt to my new abilities."

The excitement of Cyclops's new abilities spurred him to start training vigorously. As a member of the X-Men, he often had missions, so he needed to adapt quickly.

After watching for a while and offering some additional tips, Ye Hai left the training area.

In a discreet corner, a faint red glow emanated from his eyes, showcasing Cyclops's lazing abilities, which he had long ago integrated into his body. He possessed an exceptionally powerful mind, allowing him to use his new abilities flexibly right away, effortlessly controlling the intensity of the lasers—unlike Cyclops, who had to practice.
