"Ash, Rosie, good to see the both of you." Stu Deeoh said as the two made their way into the PokeStar Studios lot.
"It's Rosa, not Rosie." Rosa commented.
"My mistake, apologies." Stu Deeoh said.
"Uhh Mr Stu, is there another film being made here today?" Ash asked, noticing the giant mechanical monster nearby.
"Haha! Ash I love the question! No you and Riolu will be facing that! Now how do you feel about heights?" Stu Deeoh asked.
"Why?" Ash asked.
And Action!
"Alright Riolu Kid, we've spotted Brycen Man and his mysterious cohort in the industrial sector of the city. Head there and put a stop to them." A voice over the comms said.
"Roger that." Riolu Kid said from the front seat of a small plane. "Ready for some action Riolu."
"Ri Ri!" Riolu exclaimed from the backseat, as the plane neared the industrial district.
"Command, I see them and they have some sort of mechanical monster as well." Riolu Kid said.
"The MT Mark 1, we thought it was just a myth, Riolu Kid you must stop it or it will destroy the city." The voice said.
"We're on it! Riolu deploy!" Riolu Kid said as Riolu hit a button dropping them both out of the plane, sliding down the side of the MT.
"Well, well, well. If it isn't my old friends Riolu and Riolu Kid." Brycen Man said from the shadows. "But it's too late in less than 10 minutes time the Mecha Tyranitar will fully activate and destroy Pokemopolis!"
"Not if we can stop you! Riolu dig underneath the MT and sink it!" Riolu kid exclaimed.
Riolu dove underground, heading right for the Mecha Tyranitar.
"Now to deal with you Brycen Man!" Riolu Kid exclaimed running at the villain.
"Ah but Riolu Kid, I'm not alone this time." Brycen Man said as Riolu Kid was lifted off his feet. "I believe you already know of my acquaintance."
"Queen Bellelba!" Riolu Kid shouted as the woman walked from the shadows, her mystical powers having stopped Riolu Kid.
"You're the one who rescued Brycen Man!" Riolu Kid exclaimed.
"I am, and you are out of your league child." Queen Bellelba said, tossing Riolu Kid into a bay door.
"Riolu!" Riolu kid exclaimed, causing the fighting type to launch from underground beneath the two villains causing them both to stumble.
"You're too late Riolu Kid. Nothing you do can stop us now!" Brycen Man said, as the two took to the skies.
"Riolu Kid come in, do you hear me!" A voice on Riolu Kids communicator said.
"I hear you, we need to evacuate the city!" Riolu Kid exclaimed.
"There are too many people to evacuate, you'll need to dismantle the MT from the outside." The voice said.
"From the outside, I don't know if you've noticed but that Mecha Tyranitar is as tall as a Skyscraper!" Riolu Kid said.
"Use the secret technique you and Riolu have been practicing, that should be enough to disable the MT's electrical systems." The voice informed.
"Right! Riolu let's do it! Double Force Palm!" Riolu Kid exclaimed as he and Riolu leapt at the MT.
Mid jump both sets of eyes began to glow and upon impact a surge of electrical energy shot from their strike, across the MT shutting down the mech.
"Great work Riolu Kid, head back to base we'll send a crew to clean up the MT." The voice said.
"You heard her Riolu, let's head home." Riolu Kid said, looking proudly at the threat they'd stopped.
"And cut!" Stu Deeoh exclaimed. "Great work everyone, and those special effects for disabling the MT were incredible!"
Back at Ash's trailer
Ash was hanging up his Riolu Kid costume when he heard a knock at the door.
"Hello?" Ash asked, pausing to see two faces, one he hadn't seen in a while without makeup, the other he hadn't. "Sabrina? And I'm guessing you're Brycen."
"It's good to see you again Ash." Sabrina said.
"We need to talk about todays performance." Brycen said, inviting himself in.
"So how did you get into acting?" Ash asked.
"Well after our battle, I spent some time as the Saffron City gym leader, but wanted to explore other opportunities, and here I can use my psychic powers without judgment." Sabrina said. "But I'm not the only one here with powers."
Ash looked at Brycen expecting him to do something
"Those special effects that went off when you struck the Mecha Tyranitar, those weren't the special effects department." Brycen said. "I've rewatched the footage, and I'm sure of what it is."
"What is it?" Ash asked.
"Have you heard of the ability to harness aura?" Brycen asked.
"Yeah, but isn't that something that Lucario's do?" Ash asked.
"Normally yes, but there are records of humans being able to harness their aura as well." Sabrina said.
"It's possible that you teaming up with Riolu has unlocked this gift of yours." Brycen said. "Have you experienced anything strange lately?"
"Well, when we got here Pikachu and I were attacked by a storm cloud, and got hit by a bolt of lightning that sent us clear across the region." Ash said.
"And how long ago was that?" Brycen asked.
"I don't know a week or two I guess." Ash said grabbing his backpack only for the contents to spill out.
"Sorry, I'll pick those up." Ash said, grabbing his badge case, spare clothes and then…
"What's this? And why was it in my bag?" Ash asked as Sabrina gasped, all the shudders of the trailer quickly closing and the door locking. "Sabrina why'd you do that?"
"That's the stone of legend." Brycen said.
"The stone of legend?" Ash asked.
"The Dark Stone, said to be the mark of one of the Princes." Brycen whispered. "I don't think this is all a coincidence."
"What is?" Ash asked.
"You unlocking your aura abilities and getting this stone, it's all too connected." Brycen said. "I'm guessing after here you will be headed for Castelia City?"
"Yeah, that's the plan, why?" Ash asked.
"Once there look for a ship to take you to the Kingodm of Vale, the legends there will explain more than I can." Brycen said.
"But whatever you do, tell no one that you have that stone." Sabrina said.
"Not even Rosa?" Ash asked. "I mean we don't get along but we are traveling together."
"Ash, there are people out there that would never stop hunting you if they knew you possessed that stone, I urge you, tell no one." Brycen said sternly. "I will look into your aura powers more and Sabrina will stay in contact with you, but this stays between the three of us."
"I, I understand Mr Brycen Sir." Ash says a bit shocked at how serious this has gotten. "I will let you know if I learn anything."
"Good, thank you Ash." Brycen said. "And good work today, I look forward to our next movie in Nimbasa."
