"Don't loose sight of him!" Rosa exclaimed, as the trio raced down the streets of Castelia.

"Pi!" Pikachu said keeping an eye on the sky while Ash ran.

"Ash don't you have a shot?" Elliot asked, struggling to keep up.

"Without whatever that was dropping Lillipup, no." Ash said, as he followed Pikachu's taps.

The trio quickly reached the gate at the north end of the city as the Pokemon flew overhead.

"LILLIPUP!" Rosa cried out.

"We'll get him back." Ash assured. "That's my main goal right now, I promise."

"But what about my data?" Elliot asked.

"You can stay here in the city and gather some or you can come with us, but right now Rosa needs my help more." Ash said, heading through the gate terminal.

On the other side

"This place is huge, no way we'll find whatever took Lillipup in this desert." Rosa said, trying to find the creature that took him.

"Are you kids looking for a Pokemon that can fly, picks up shiny things?" A hiker asked.

"He took my Lillipup!" Rosa said angrily.

"Which you were holding along with a bunch of shiny new medals." Ash realized.

"So you think, it's my fault?" Rosa asked.

"No, no, we just were caught off guard, I should have reacted and attacked it quicker." Ash admitted.

"Well, if you two are looking for it, you'll find that bird a bit west of here, right through those sand bars." The hiker said.

"Thank you. Let's go Rosa." Ash said, leading the way.

"Ash, are you sure…". Rosa asked worridley.

"I'm sure he'll be fine. You know I think this is the most I've seen you worried about someone other than yourself." Ash commented. "Look Darumaka!"

"Focus Ash!" Rosa scolded.

"Right, right, we're here to get Lillipup back." Ash said.

"Then you might want to be quieter." Elliot said sneaking up.

"Elliot!" Rosa said angrily.

"Look." Elliot said, pointing across the broken fences to show four Pokemon, a small green one, a tan and black one, a black bird, and Lillipup. "If you keep shouting, they'll hear you for sure."

"So you're here to help?" Ash asked.

"Battle data is useful even against wild Pokemon." Elliot said.

"Good, what can you tell me about those three?" Ash asked.

"The one that took Lillipup is a Mandibuzz, a dark and flying type and probably the boss of the group. Then on her left you have Trubbish, a poison type, then on her right is Sandile, a Dark and Ground type." Elliot said.

"Okay, we need to distract all of them at once to get Lillipup free." Ash said. "Can Porygon handle a range attack against Trubbish?"

"Of course it can, why?" Elliot asked.

"Pikachu and Thunderbolt on Braviary, Snivy and Energy Ball on Sandile, Riolu only has physical attacks and we need to attack before being seen." Ash said.

"Right, Porygon has Psybeam, that should work." Elliot said, grabbing a Pokeball. "Ready when you are."

"Be careful." Rosa begged.

"Let's do this! Snivy use Energy Ball! Pikachu use Thunderbolt!"

"Porygon use Psybeam!"

The three attacks struck the wild Pokemon, as Mandibuzz took to the sky with Lillipup still in her talons.

"Lillipup!" Rosa called out.

"Bwarp!" Lillipup barked, biting at the flying types feet, releasing him.

"Snivy use Vine Whip!" Ash called out. "Pikachu take over for Snivy!"

Pikachu ran around Snivy, striking Sandile with an Iron Tail as Snivy extended his vines to safely wrap around Lillipup to bring the normal type back down.

"Trub!"

"Sand!"

"Ash, I don't think they're too happy." Elliot said.

"We've got them, handle the Mandibuzz." Rosa said, setting Lillipup back down. "Lillipup use Return!"

"Porygon use Signal Beam!"

"Pikachu use Thunderbolt!"

Lillipup charged forward, slamming into the Trubbish as Porygon's beam struck Sandile while Pikachu tried to strike Mandibuzz in the air.

"Lillipup use Helping Hand!" Rosa called out.

"Bwarp Bwarp Bwarp!" Lillipup barked, hopping up and down as if cheering on Pikachu.

"Wait, thats a great idea!" Elliot said. "Porygon help Pikachu aim with Lock On!"

Pikachu hopped on top of Porygon, letting the normal type aim as he took the shot, striking a bolt of electricity through Mandibuzz sending it flying off from the battle.

"That was, wow, I didn't think you had that in you." Ash admitted.

"Of course, even moves like Lock On have use in battle." Elliot said.

"Elliot, I meant Rosa and Lillipup." Ash said.

"Right, that makes more sense." Elliot admitted.

"I guess, your spirit is rubbing off on us a bit." Rosa admitted, picking up and hugging Lillipup. "I'm just glad I've got you back."

"Bwarp!" Lillipup barked happily back in his trainers arms.

"Come on I have an idea for something for us to do, I saw it while we were exploring earlier." Ash said.

In downtown Mode Street

"Alright, Casteliacones for everyone!" Ash said, bringing a tray of ice cream over to Rosa and Elliot as well as the groups Pokemon.

"Porygon doesn't eat though." Elliot reminded.

"Right, right." Ash realized. "Well then we have a spare."

"Ash, I don't usually have things like this, it's a lot of sugar and I mean I don't even know how it was prepared or who prepared it." Rosa said.

"Rosa, come on you just chased a Mandibuzz into the desert to get Lillipup back, you can't honestly tell me you're scared of a little ice cream." Ash joked. "Besides it's already paid for and I refuse to let two go to waste."

"Don't you mean three?" Elliot asked.

"Nope, Lillipup is almost done with his by the looks of it." Ash said, seeing Lillipup enjoy his bowl near Pikachu, Snivy and Riolu.

"I guess one can't hurt." Rosa said, taking one of the remaining three and tasting it, her eyes going wide.

"I guess it was worth it." Ash said with a laugh.
