Somewhere beneath Castelia City
"Status report you three." Giovanni said from a screen.
"Sir, we have made it to Castelia City and set up a temporary base here during our investigations." Jessie said.
"We have noticed a fair number of Team Plasma members going in and out of these sewers and are almost certain that they have some form of underground base or transportation down here." James said.
"Good and what of your efforts in capturing Pokemon for our goal." Giovanni commented.
"We've already acquired two Powerful Pokemon found here in Unova to help in our cause." Meowth commented. "And they're already on the search for where Team Plasma is hiding down here."
"Keep me updated on our progress once you have more information." Giovanni said, before the feed was cut off.
"So when the boss asks for them, how are we supposed to tell him that the Pokemon we have are less than powerful." James said, as a wriggling and hopping came into the back room they were using as a temporary hideout.
"Tymp."
"Veni."
Jessie and James's new Pokemon came up to Meowth chittering to him.
"Meowth what are they saying, have they found Team Plasma?" Jessie demanded.
"Oh they found their storehouse down here, and it is something else." Meowth said. "Let's go!"
Jessie returned Venipede as James returned Tympole as they followed Meowth through the sewers.
"Next time we track a group of wannabe villains, can we do it somewhere that smells nicer, like a back alley or a dump?" James asked, pinching his nose.
"Just calm down James-y boy, we're almost there, at least your nose ain't as sensitive as mine." Meowth remarked, taking a turn.
"This is, whoa." Jessie said, seeing the bunker as they entered it.
"Makes sense, no one in their right mind would check all the way back here." James said. "What even is all this? Posters, flyers, flags, are they criminals or politicians?"
"Stuff the commentary James, I hear something." Meowth said as the trio looked beyond some crates.
"Yes, tell father that me entering the Unova league will be beneficial to our cause." A boy with long green hair said.
"But my king you have to understand the importance of our job down here." A Team Plasma Grunt said.
"I am not diminishing the work being done here or throughout the region, but it has come to my attention that if I want our message to have a true impact, I must set my own sights higher, only then can we truly bring peace." The boy said.
"Of course sire." The grunt said. "We will inform your father right away. Shall we have a group accompany you on your travels?"
"That will not be necessary, thank you." The boy said, turning to leave.
"Alright, those two are alone, let's go get some information." Jessie said, grabbing Venipede's Pokeball. "Venipede use String Shot!"
"Sunflora use Razor Leaf!" The female Team Plasma Grunt said, slicing the silk apart.
"Venipede use Poison Sting!"
Venipede launched a series of needles at Sunflora.
"Dunsparce use Screech!" The male Team Plasma Grunt said.
Dunsparce came out sending out a loud cry, stopping the needles and causing Venipede to flinch.
"Tympole use Round!"
Tympole let out a sound, negating the effects of Dunsparce's screech on Venipede.
"Venipede use Rollout!"
"Dunsparce use Rollout!"
The two curled up bouncing off of each other like pinballs.
"Tympole use Bubblebeam!"
"Sunflora use Mega Drain!"
Sunflora missed their target, pulling in Dunsparce as both were struck by Tympole's water attack.
"These two don't know the first thing about tag teaming." Meowth chuckled. "Let's show them just how good we are at working altogether!"
"Venipede use String Shot!" Jessie commanded.
"Tympole use Mud Shot!" James called out.
"Fury Swipes!" Meowth exclaimed
Sunflora and Dunsparce were tied up together as they were coated in mud and struck multiple times by Meowth's claws.
"Now you're going to tell us exactly what your group's plan is." Jessie said angrily.
"Like we would tell you wanna be goons anything." The female grunt said, reaching for another Pokeball.
"All of you stop right now." A new voice said, running in followed by a few others.
Authors notes
A bit of a short chapter but hey finally have Jessie, James and Meowth in a more major role 19 chapters in. And yes the two team plasma grunts are back again, if you have any ideas of what their names should be, let me know because they will be the reoccurring duo to represent the greater gang. Also this chapter and the next are a bit short but there is good reason for it.
