"Well, now who do we have here?" A woman asked, as Carlita led the trio into a house a bit from the castle.
"Mom, these are Ash, Rosa, and Elliot, but they also are with…". Carlita paused looking for Victini.
"Oh there you are Victini, I have missed you, where have you been?" The woman asked.
"Wait, you know Victini?" Rosa asked.
"Of course I do, we go back to when I was younger than you three. I hope he didn't cause you any trouble." The woman said.
"Swayed a battle in my favor, but it wasn't a detrimental battle." Ash admitted.
"Now Victini, you know better than to do those kinds of things." The woman scolded. "Now where are my manners, come in, come in."
A bit later out back
"Now tell me why did you kids come all the way out here?" The woman, Carlita's mother, Juanita said, setting down some lunch.
"It was actually Ash's idea to come here." Rosa admitted.
"Really? We don't have any gyms here, and coming from Castelia is far out of the way." Juanita said.
"It was recommended to me, by Brycen, to come and check the story of the two heroes out in person." Ash quickly informed. "I encountered something similar to the black dragon from the legend. Is there a name for that dragon?"
"You did?" Elliot asked.
"Yes, back when I first arrived in Unova, Pikachu and I were out on a pier and this storm rolled in out of nowhere and I saw this black creature before a bolt of electricity struck us." Ash said, thinking back to the day. "Next thing I knew I was waking up clear across the region in Rosa's Mom's living room."
"Wait you weren't joking about that happening." Rosa said in surprise.
"Some of that day is a little hazy, but when I saw the mural of the black dragon, it just, something clicked." Ash admitted.
"It's name is Zekrom, and if you truly did encounter them, you're lucky to be alive." Juanita said.
"Tini! Tini! Tini!" Victini cheered.
"Why is Victini cheering?" Elliot questioned.
"Victini has always been big on luck, even mentioning it sends him into a happy mood." Juanita said.
"Makes more sense why he turned the tide of the battle, give your Pokemon a bit of luck, he got happy." Rosa pointed out.
"But why not assist Braviary or Pikachu?" Elliot questioned.
"Pikachu is obvious, this little guy went toe to toe with a Latios a few months ago." Juanita said, scratching Pikachu's head. "What, I get cable out here. Anyways Braviary on the other hand it's hard to say, but they are known for not liking sharing the skies or getting an assist. Perhaps Victini knew that about him being like that."
"Maybe." Ash said. "Who is that?"
A man approached with the two Pokemon flanking him.
"Damon, I didn't know you were home, I thought you were still on your research journey." Carlita said.
"Mom, Carlita, it's good to see you both." Damon said walking over. "I see we have company, ahh and is that Victini?"
"Damon, why are you here?" Juanita asked.
"Mother, I have a way to return our home to its former glory. I have found the key, and all I need is Victini's help." Damon said.
"Damon, using Victini for that is not the way." Juanita said.
"Mother don't you see, we have the dragons." Damon said with a smile.
"Damon, I don't see any dragons." Carlita commented.
"Of course not, they're still asleep. See." Damon said, holding out the white orb.
"Reshiram!" Juanita said in surprise.
"Yes, the fabled white stone of legend, I have found it, and with Victini's help I will resurrect Reshiram to bring the Kingdom of Vale back to its rightful glory!" Damon said.
"Damon you can't without both dragons, and even if you did what you are implying is foolish!" Juanita said.
"Ahh, but both dragons are here, aren't they Ashton?" Damon asked. His two Pokemon flanking him.
Ash stayed silent as Damon approached.
"Ash, what is he talking about?" Rosa asked.
"Gothitelle hold them with Confusion!" Damon exclaimed, everyone but Ash raising into the air. "Now give me the black stone and we won't have any issues."
"How about you just stop and talk this through. Clearly there are some disagreements here." Ash said.
"Very well, we will do it the hard way. Reuniclus use Shadow Ball!"
"Braviary use Wing Attack!"
Braviary rushed forward, not phased by the Shadow Ball as he struck Reuniclus.
"Reuniclus use Psychic!"
"Braviary use Wing Attack!"
Braviary was struck by the psychic attack, sending him crashing to the ground.
"Pikachu use Thunderbolt!" Ash called out.
Pikachu sent out a bolt of electricity at Reuniclus for decent damage, covering for Braviary as he recovered.
"Tini!" Victini cheered.
"No Victini get away!" Juanita said as Victini sent energy to Pikachu, a beam of electricity coming from Pikachu, striking Reuniclus.
"A new move?" Ash asked.
"Charge Beam! It gets stronger the more you use it!" Elliot called out.
"You heard him Pikachu! Use Charge Beam!"
Pikachu sent out another electrical shot, a small beam shooting from him and striking Reuniclus.
"Ash behind you!" Rosa called out.
Ash turned around, seeing a third Pokemon fly at him, trapping him, Pikachu, and Victini.
"Ash!" Rosa called out as the trio fell asleep.
"Damon stop this now!" Juanita said.
"I will not stop until we bring back our birth right." Damon said as he and his psychic types left with Ash, Victini and Pikachu.
"We need to get him and those stones before Damon does something dumb!" Carlita exclaimed, as they were free.
"We will, but we need to be ready for when we face Damon, he isn't thinking right." Juanita said. "It's time for my old friend to return to battle."
"Hydreigon is also a good choice for his psychic types." Elliot remarked.
"Carlita, you need to focus, I know Damon is family, but he attacked us unprovoked and has not been well in some time." Juanita said.
"I know, I'll do what is needed, but I still want to try and help him." Carlita said.
"Hey, did anyone see where Braviary went?" Rosa asked, noticing Ash's flying type was also missing.
"You don't think he might have gone after Ash?" Elliot questioned aloud.
"Considering it's Ash's Pokemon and what you've said about Braviary as a species, I wouldn't doubt it." Rosa sighed, as the four looked towards the castle.
