"Min Min!" Mincinno said, trying to clean Trubbish.
"Trub!" Trubbish said, running away in fear, knocking into the picnic table.
"The egg!" Ash exclaimed, diving for the falling golden egg, catching it just before it hit the ground.
"Phew, that was a close one, it would have cracked for sure if it hit the ground." Elliot said.
'CRACK!'
"Guys, it's hatching!" Ash exclaimed, as the golden egg began cracking.
"What do we do what do we do?!" Rosa exclaimed.
"Just breath, I've been through this a few times before." Ash said, setting the egg down on the table.
"How many is a few?!" Rosa exclaimed still in a panic.
"A Togepi, a Phanpy, a Larvitar, an Eevee, a Happiny, and a Cyndaquil." Ash listed.
"How do you get into so many situations?" Elliot questioned.
"I get around." Ash said, as the top of the egg cracked and fell off, revealing a white Pokemon white red antenna sticking it's head out.
"What is it?" Rosa questioned.
"Never seen anything like it before." Ash said, as the Pokemon turned towards Rosa, unleashing a String Shot, covering her face.
"AHH!" Rosa exclaimed.
"Herd!" Herdier yelled, barring their fangs at the new Pokemon that had attacked Rosa.
"Vesta!" The Pokemon said, sending out a few small embers at Herdier causing the normal type to jump back.
"Pika Pika!" Pikachu tried getting in the way, only to be tied up by a string shot himself.
"Okay, we are running out of Pokemon at a surprisingly fast rate for a newly hatched Pokemon. Ash, you're the experienced one, how do we deal with this?" Elliot asked.
"I don't know, most baby Pokemon are docile!" Ash said in shock. "First get the string shot off of Rosa and Pikachu, I'll handle this."
"Right." Elliot said, going to try and figure out how to free Rosa.
"Hey there little guy, I get it, you're scared aren't you, all sorts of new people and Pokemon." Ash said, kneeling down.
"Vesta!" The Pokemon exclaimed, sending a few small embers at Ash.
"You're a feisty little guy." Ash said with a smirk. "You remind me of some of my own fire types back home. But you know, you don't have to be scared with us. We want to be your friends."
"Vesta!" The Pokemon said, trying to scare Ash off again with another Ember.
"Hey calm down." Ash said. "Do you recognize me, or maybe this?" Ash asked, lifting the Pokemon and putting it in the harness. "You spent a lot of time in here."
"Vesta!" The Pokemon cried out squirming and burning itself free from the harness.
"Ow!" Ash yelped. "Sorry, sorry, hey you don't need to stay in there, just stay calm." Ash said, kneeling down.
"Lar!" The Pokemon exclaimed, shooting a string shot at Ash, getting it all over him.
"Daru! Darumaka!" Darumaka said, getting between the two.
"Lar!" The Pokemon said, shooting a string shot at her, only for the silk to burn up around Darumaka.
"Vesta!" The Pokemon countered again, firing off small embers as Darumaka walked forward, patting the Pokemon on the back.
"Daru Daru." Darumaka said, calming them down.
"Vesta!" The Pokemon argued.
"Alright, I think I know what you want." Ash said, pulling the silk out.
"A bath?" Rosa complained, pulling some of the silk from her hair.
"He just wants to fight someone, and I know the perfect opponent." Ash said. "Darumaka I choose you!"
"Daru." Darumaka said in shock, shaking her head/body.
"Alright… Trubbish I choose you!" Ash said.
"Trub!" Trubbish said, still hiding from Mincinno behind Braviary.
"This group is falling into pieces." Ash groaned.
"Pika Pi!" Pikachu exclaimed.
"Are you sure Pikachu?" Ash asked.
"Pika!" Pikachu said in agreement.
"Alright then, give us what you've got!" Ash said with confidence.
"Lar!" The pokemon cried out, sending a flurry of embers at the duo, the two smirking through them.
"Even as a newly hatched Pokemon, those embers should still be hot." Elliot said in shock.
"These are nothing, try the flames of a Charizard sometime!" Ash said with a wicked smirk. "Come on give it your all!"
"Vesta!" The Pokemon exclaimed, wrapping the duo in it's String Shot.
"There you go!" Ash said.
"He's finally lost it." Rosa said in shock.
"Lar!" The Pokemon said, sending out a flurry of flames at the duo, setting the silk off and engulfing the duo in flames.
"Haha!" Ash said shaking it off. "Now that is the kind of attitude I can get behind! Pikachu use Quick Attack!"
Pikachu shook off the flames, sharing with his trainers smirk, launching at the newly hatched Pokemon, slamming into them.
"Vesta!" The Pokemon said, hopping back up.
"Do you think Ash and Pikachu are holding back, or that Pokemon is that strong?" Rosa asked.
"Neither, honestly I think it shares their spirit. It doesn't want to give up, not yet at least." Elliot said.
"Lar!" The Pokemon exclaimed, firing a series of embers into the air.
"Okay, not in the plan!" Ash said, grabbing Pokeballs. "Everyone return!
Red beams struck Braviary, Riolu, Trubbish, Servine, Herdier, Mincinno, and Porygon2, returning all of them and saving them from the falling flames.
"Daru!" Darumaka yelled.
"Vesta Vest!" The Pokemon argued at Darumaka.
"Dar Dau Darumaka Darumaka!" Darumaka said angrily.
"What is going on?" Rosa asked.
"Honestly, even I don't know anymore." Ash admitted.
"Daru Darumaka Darudaru Makama!" Darumaka said, pointing to the singed area and then to Ash.
"What do you think she's telling them?" Elliot asked.
The Pokemon squirmed over to Ash, looking down but angry.
"Hey, it's alright." Ash said, kneeling down. "Being around all these big fighters, you wanted to prove yourself, didn't you."
"Lar!" The Pokemon said angrily.
"Well, you can't prove it by attacking them all unprovoked, but if you come along, you're more than welcome to learn." Ash offered, holding a Pokeball.
"Vesta? Vest!" The Pokemon said, tapping the Pokeball.
'Ding Ding Ding'
As the ball was captured it suddenly deactivated.
"Wait, what is going on, why does the Pokeball look like that?" Rosa asked.
"A trainer can only hold six Pokemon with them at a time." Ash said. "So now I have to figure out what to do about Larvesta so that I can keep them close while having seven now."
"So where do we go to figure that out?" Rosa asked.
"Back to Nimbasa for now I guess." Ash admitted.
Back at the Nimbasa City Pokemon Center
"Ah hello Ash and Pikachu, good to hear from you." Professor Oak said, on the phone from his lab.
"It's good to see you Professor, we've run into a bit of a problem here in Unova." Ash admitted.
"While I'm always happy to help, I'm not exactly nearby to offer my assistance." Professor Oak said.
"I know, I ran into a problem with the party limit and was wondering if there was anyone here in Unova I could keep my extra Pokemon with for the time being?" Ash asked.
"In fact there is. My colleague I was going to introduce you to Professor Juniper, she has a lab just like mine that would be suitable to watch over and house any extra Pokemon you collect while going through Unova. I'll go ahead and patch her into the call." Professor Oak said.
A few moments later
"Ahh, so you must be Ash, it's nice to finally have a face to the name." A woman with short sandy hair said.
"You must be Professor Juniper." Ash said. "Yeah sorry about never making it to your lab that day."
"It's quite alright, I've also heard you're watching over what was going to be a research Snivy of mine." Professor Juniper said.
"Oh yeah." Ash said. "Come on out Servine!"
The grass type appeared next to their trainer with a smug smile.
"Oh and they evolved, that's wonderful! Now Professor Oak said you had a Pokemon you needed to be taken care of."
"Yeah, I just hatched an egg and captured the Pokemon form it, but now I have seven Pokemon with me." Ash admitted.
"Quite the problem, but not one I can't help with, I'm happy to watch over any of your Pokemon for the time being so that you can keep going, and switch out any time you need to." Professor Juniper said. "So who are you going to send over for now?"
"I have an idea." Ash said, grabbing a Pokeball from his belt.
