Taste The Rainbow
Part two of a three part human!Nagini mini series inspired by the upcoming Fantastic Beasts movie.
The world was crumbling around them. A hail of bricks, shattered by the force of a rebounding curse, struck the earth and sent up a flurry of dust and debris. Flames leapt from broken windows, licking at the torn curtains that fluttered mournfully in the wind. And there, in the middle of it all, was a massive snake, her bloated body stretched across the stone staircase.
When the Golden Trio saw the snake on the steps, they thought she would be an easy target, seeing as how Nagini was currently too full to move. They ran at her, wands drawn, ready to unleash a stream of hexes and curses, only to stop short of the first step when Nagini opened her mouth and vomited rainbows in a glittering arch that stretched high into the air.
Ron, Harry and Hermione came to an abrupt halt, their hair and clothing drenched in sparkly snake puke.
"Well, that didn't go as planned," Harry muttered, lifting a hand and wiping the brightly colored mess off his glasses.
Along came Lucius, who stood at the top of the steps, looking down at the overgrown serpent.
"My Lord, it appears as though there's something wrong with your snake," he drawled in his usual monotone.
His wife peeked out from behind his left shoulder and grinned.
"That's what she said!"
Narcissa was silenced when Alecto threw some rice in her face.
Nagini lifted her head and glared at Lucius, her body enveloped in a swirling mist as she changed back into her human form. She then rose from the floor with her hands on her hips and shouted, "Well excuse me for eating one too many bags of Skittles! They were all I had left after Master Tom ate the last of the Pop Tarts."
She then turned on heel and stormed off down the hall, leaving behind a stunned crowd of vomit covered onlookers.
