"Alright Braviary, strike!" Ash said, tossing a stone into the air.
Braviary swooped around, grabbing the stone with his talons with ease.
"How long has he been doing this?" Rosa asked.
"A while." Elliot admitted. "I wonder what's gotten into him."
"N doesn't know what he's talking about, Darmanitan learned that move herself, if she didn't want to use it, she wouldn't have learned it!" Ash's inner monologue argued as he threw another stone for Braviary to catch, the flying type having not been ready, dove at the stone too late, sending it off down the path.
"Careful there." A man called out.
"Sorry!" Ash said, snapping out of his stupor, rushing over to the man to help him up.
"I'm fine, just a bit startled is all." The man said, "Usually I have to watch out for Skyla coming from above out here."
"Again I am very sorry sir. I'm Ash by the way." Ash said.
"It's nice to meet you Ash, I'm Professor Juniper." The man said, extending his hand. "And I'm guessing that is your Braviary."
"Yes, but you aren't Professor Juniper." Ash said cautiously.
"I'm not, hmm, and how would you know that?" The man asked.
"I've spoken with Professor Juniper over the phone, and no offense, you aren't her." Ash pointed out.
"Ahh, so you've spoken with my daughter Aurea." The man said. "Yes she is Professor Juniper, I am also Professor Juniper though. My name is Cedric Juniper."
"Ash what's taking so long?" Rosa asked running up with Elliot.
"I met this guy claiming to be Professor Juniper's father." Ash said calmly.
"Ash, that is the older Professor Juniper." Elliot commented.
"Oh. Oh! I am so sorry Professor." Ash apologized for the third time.
"It's quite alright, the confusion is more than understandable with the names." Professor Cedric Juniper said. "Now I'm guessing between that Braviary of yours and knowing my daughter, you three must be trainers on a journey."
"We are actually." Ash said, grabbing his remaining Pokeballs. "Come on out everyone!"
"Herdier let's go!"
"Porygon2, Klink come out."
Riolu, Larvesta, Dewott, Servine, Herdier, Klink, and Porygon2 all came out, joining Pikachu, Minccino, and Braviary.
"Quite the arrangement of rare Pokemon." Professor Cedric Juniper said. "I can tell all of these Pokemon have been raised with great care and love."
"Can you tell anything else Professor?" Rosa asked.
"Of course, as the leading Professor on Pokemon Biology I've spent a lot of time researching all sorts of Pokemon here in the Unova region and their abilities." Professor Cedric Juniper said calmly.
"You can tell that just by looking at the Pokemon?" Ash asked.
"Of course, take your Pikachu for instance, that soft fur and perky ears tell me that it's ability without a doubt is Static. While that Herdier, if you look at their fur, it's short but soft, showing off their eyes and pronounced fangs they have Intimidate for their ability." Professor Cedric Juniper said.
"You know speaking of abilities, my Servine and Dewott both have special abilities and were supposed to be brought to your daughter." Ash said.
"Actually if they're who I think they are, they were being brought to me." Professor Cedric Juniper said. "Let's see if I remember about their abilities."
"Servine has the ability Contrary." Rosa remembered.
"Right, so any stat changes are flipped, positive becomes negative and negative becomes positive." Professor Cedric Juniper said. "And if that's the case, then Dewott's ability would be Shell Armor."
"What is Shell Armor?" Ash asked curiously.
"It prevents Dewott from being struck by critical strikes." Professor Cedric Juniper said.
"Wait, I remember something like that from my battle against Clay where Dewott used one of his scalchops to block Excadrill." Ash said. "And the night before when he was training with Riolu he was also blocking attacks with his shells."
"That would be them using their ability in combat for preparation." Professor Cedric Juniper explained. "Though I thought you hadn't found Oshawott."
"He's a recent find, and we technically didn't." Ash admitted. "Dewott had already evolved by the time we crossed paths with them."
"What can you tell about our other Pokemon?" Rosa asked curiously.
"Let's see, that Minccino of yours looks like it also has her special ability of Skill Link." Professor Cedric Juniper said. "Those tails seem very sturdy and trained from that."
"Skill Link?" Rosa asked curiously.
"It makes it so multi hit moves like Tail Slap, Bullet Seed, Fury Attack, Double Slap, and Rock Blast all hit the max amount of times possible." Elliot explained.
"Riolu's composure can tell you a lot about their ability, be it Inner Focus, Steadfast, or Justified. Based on how he stands however it's clear he has Inner Focus for his ability, keeping him from flinching in battle." Professor Cedric Juniper explained.
"That sounds like Riolu alright." Ash said with a smirk, looking at his fighting type in question.
"And that Larvesta and Braviary of yours Ash are very rare Pokemon." Professor Cedric Juniper said.
"I've heard that about Braviary, along with his ability Defiant." Ash said.
"Yes, that is also a rare ability for Braviary, boosting it's attack gets a large boost any time one of his stats is lowered by an opponent." Professor Cedric Juniper explained. "As for Larvesta though, based on his calm composure it looks to have the ability of Flame Body."
"Flame Body?" Rosa asked.
"It's the fire type equivalent of Pikachu's static, rather than a chance of paralysis on contact, Flame Body has a chance of inflicting a burn on contact." Elliot commented.
"What about Elliot's Porygon2 and Klink?" Rosa asked curiously.
"With Klink it has two abilities, either Plus or Minus,and you can tell based on the way it's gears are rotating." Professor Cedric Juniper said. "If they rotate down towards each other it's ability is Minus, and if the gears go up towards each other, the ability is Plus."
"So Elliot's Klink has the ability of Plus then." Rosa said.
"That's what it looks like." Professor Cedric Juniper said.
"What do those abilities do?" Ash asked.
"Not much on their own, they only have a use when both are together, but that doesn't mean that Klink is a bad Pokemon. As for Porygon2 though, I've never met one before, I'm not sure, I've never met a Pokemon like that." Professor Cedric Juniper said.
"That's fine, I'm sure I'll figure it out with time." Elliot said.
"You know you three seem to be quite curious trainers, there is a tournament I'm hosting with Don George and Skyla that you three should look into participating in this week." Professor Cedric Juniper said.
"Sounds like fun, we'll definitely check it out while we're here." Ash said.

Yes, most of them had already been confirmed but here's an actual explanation of each hidden ability and what each Pokemon has that our trio has with them at the moment. As for the past few days if you're reading this as it's posted, I had family in town and spent time with them and didn't get around to writing or posting obviously.
