"Welcome gathered trainers to the Clubsplosion Event!" Don George proclaimed.

Ash looked around the gathered stadium floor, seeing several familiar faces, and some not so familiar.

"Jeb, it's good to see you, hows your research been going?" Ash asked, walking over to him.

"It's been good, I'm actually doing some research here before heading into twist mountain." Jeb commented.

"Hugh, I see you've made it." Rosa said calmly.

"Don't act so cold to see me." Hugh joked.

"I am happy you're here, but we both know I shouldn't." Rosa commented.

"Just relax and have some fun, no harm done." Hugh commented.

"Honestly why are either of us in a tournament geared toward fighting types, neither of us own a fighting type, in fact all of our Pokemon are weak to that very type." Elliot pointed out.

"No worries, just have fun with it, after all with me and Sawk it's not like you guys actually stand a chance at winning." Stephan commented.

"Ahh yes Stevie, and where did you place in the Club Tournament?" Dino asked curiously.

"It's Stephan and you know that!" Stephan argued loudly.

"Now I'm sure you're all curious about what the prize for this tournament will be. I present to you this! A full set of Vitamins!" Don George declared.

Authors note, yes I know in the anime it was a years worth, but honestly that is extreme.

"You hear that James, you better not mess this up!" Jessie argued into his ear piece.

"Yes Jessie." James sighed.

"Now then look up to the screen to see your round 1 opponents!" Don George declared.

Round 1 Match 1

James vs ?

"First up is Jameson against Georgia. Trainers send out your Pokemon!" Don George declared.

"Seismitoad come out!" James called out.

"Bisharp I choose you!" Georgia declared.

"Hey Elliot, what kind of Pokemon is Bisharp?" Ash asked.

"Not a good one, for a fighting focused tournament, a dark and steel type is sure to spell disaster." Elliot commented.

"Seismitoad use Drain Punch!" James called out.

"Bisharp use Iron Head!" Georgia declared.

Bisharp launched head first at Seismitoad fist, causing the large water type to even recoil from the impact.

"Bisharp use Metal Claw!"

"Seismitoad use Drain Punch!"

Bisharp slash at Seismitoad, knocking the water and ground type backwards and onto the ground.

"Now finish with Guillotine!" Georgia called out, as Bisharp slashed at Seismitoad knocking it out.

"Ash, what was that move?" Rosa asked.

"Dangerous, and hope you don't have to face it." Ash said coldly.

Round 1 Match 3

Rosa vs ?

"The next round is Rosa vs Getty! Trainers send out your Pokemon!" Don George declared.

"Minccino come out!"

"Let's go Simisear!"

"Minccino use Tail Slap!"

"Simisear use Low Sweep!"

Minccino rushed forward swatting her tail at the fire type multiple times to little effect before being kicked away by the Simisear in a single strike.

"Yeah, I expected that." Rosa admitted, hearing the buzzer.

"She should have gone with Herdier." Elliot commented.

"Do you think Herdier would have won?" Ash asked.

"It's unlikely they would have won the entire tournament, but Rosa might have made it to round 2 at least with her." Elliot pointed out.

Round 1 Match 4

Dino vs ?

"Go Dino!" Ash cheered.

"You're cheering for him?" Rosa asked.

"I'm on the opposite end of the brackets, I won't have a chance to face him again until the final round." Ash pointed out.

"Fair enough." Rosa commented.

"Let's go Druddigon!" Dino called out.

"Mienfoo come out!" Dino's opponent, Delbert called out.

"Druddigon use Aerial Ace!"

"Mienfoo use Drain Punch!"

Mienfoo raced forward, launching its fist at Druddigon as the dragon slashed its claw at the smaller fighting type, sending it tumbling back before it could make any impact.

"Druddigon use Dragon Claw!"

"Mienfoo use Jump Kick!"

Mienfoo leapt into the air, shooting down at Druddigon as the large dragon grabbed the fighting type in their claws, before tossing them to the side as a buzzer went off.

"Some of these rounds sure are going fast." Rosa said.

"That's fighting types usually for you. Even if not everyone is using one, the type is full of glass cannons. Hit hard and don't get hit." Ash commented.

"Looks like I'm up, wish me a quick loss." Elliot sighed.

"You've got this Elliot! We believe in you!" Ash cheered.

Round 1 Match 5

Elliot vs ?

"Alright Porygon2 I choose you!"

"Simipour come out!" Betty called out.

"Porygon2 use Psybeam!"

"Simipour use Scald!"

Simipour sent out a blast of hot water at Porygon2 as it redirected from Porygon2s psychic attack, turning back towards Simipour.

"Simipour use Ice Punch!"

"Porygon2 use Lock On!"

Simipour leapt through the water, striking Porygon2 causing them to start spinning as they tried to lock on.

"Simipour use Brick Break!"

"Porygon2 use Psybeam!"

Porygon2 spun back around to fire off a beam only to be struck on the head by Simipour's paw, knocking out the normal type.

Round 1 Match 6

Hugh vs Clyde

"You!" Hugh exclaimed in anger.

"Me?" Clyde questioned.

"You should not be here!" Hugh said angrily.

"Hey I signed up fair and square!" Clyde argued.

"Pignite let's go!" Hugh called out.

"Conkeldurr come out!" Clyde called out.

"Pignite use Rollout!"

"Conkeldurr use Fling!"

Pignite curled up, rushing at Conkeldurr, easily dodging the bar of cement that was thrown at him, slamming into the larger fighting type.

"Conkeldurr use Hammer Arm!"

Conkeldurr swung their arm down to no avail as Pignite shared in his trainers energy, dodging the arm before slamming into Conkeldurr yet again.

"Conkeldurr use Stone Edge!"

Pignite crashed through the jutting stones slamming into the large fighting type for the third time in a row, knocking them flat on their back in defeat.

"Alright Pignite!" Hugh cheered.

"Pig! Nite!" Pignite declared happily.

Round 1 Match 7

Ash vs Angus

"Alright Riolu I choose you!" Ash called out.

"Simisage let's go!" Angus declared.

"I'm guessing that's the grass one, so Riolu use Blaze Kick!"

"Simisage use Seed Bomb!"

Riolu leapt at Simisage, his legs engulfed in flames as he broke through the seed bomb, striking Simisage in the process.

"Simisage use Shadow Claw!"

"Riolu use Force Palm!"

Riolu and Simisage traded blows with their hands each at rapid speeds.

"Riolu use Rock Slide!"

"Simisage use Giga Impact!"

Riolu summoned a storm of rocks, flying at Simisage as the grass monkey broke through a few before getting trapped.

"Now use Blaze Kick!"

"Get out of there with Low Sweep!"

Riolu leapt down at Simisage, engulfing himself in flames on impact with the trapped grass type, giving him and Ash the win for their first round match.

Round 1 Match 8

Jeb vs Stephan

"Watchog let's go!" Jeb called out.

"Sawk I choose you!" Stephan declared.

"Watchog use Super Fang!"

"Sawk use Bulk Up!"

Sawk flexed his muscles as Watchog raced forward, biting down with his large fangs on the fighting types arm.

"Watchog use Hypnosis!"

"Sawk use Brick Break!"

Sawk swung his other arm around, striking into Watchog, both breaking its attack off as well as it's concentration on Hypnosis, freeing Sawk and his other arm.

"Sawk use Karate Chop!"

"Watchog dodge it!"

Sawk rushed forward, slamming his arm down on Watchog, knocking the normal type out for a victory.

"And there we have it everyone with round 1 completed, these eight lucky trainers will be moving onto the next round." Don George said, as Ash, Stephan, Dino, Hugh, Betty, Getty, Georgia, and some other persons photo showed up on screen.

Yes I did have a matchup for match 2, but as no major named characters were a part of the fight, I didn't see a point in showing that part of the bracket.
