Holly woke up before the sun was up. She thought everything was a dream until she woke up in Robert's arms. Laying there just watching him sleep, she stroked his cheek and ran her fingers through his hair. Neither of them had last night planned but she wouldn't change a thing about it.
She moved her legs over as she sat up, grabbing her robe to put on. She needed a shower and some tea. She didn't want to wake Robert so she carefully went into the bathroom.
Robert was in fact already awake. He gave her a few minutes before getting up and grabbing his robe too. He went over to the door and knocked as he heard the water get turned on.
Holly held her breath as she spoke. "Do you need in here?" She knew it was Robert and knew how awkward this could be.
"Just to see you." Robert didn't think before he spoke, if he did he probably would have never said that.
Holly closed her robe as she opened the door. "Robert...if you.."
"Shh." Robert took her hand into his. "Do you regret last night?" He asked her, he himself had some guilt but he didn't regret making love to his wife.
"No..but.." Holly started but Robert cut her off.
"I'm going to find Anna, tell her you are back and come back home to you. I have to bring Robin's mom back to her then we can rebuild the life we dreamt of together." Robert kissed her hand tenderly.
Holly had tears in her eyes, that seemed like an unrealistic dream but hearing him say it made her want to believe it. "Do you want to take a shower before reality sinks back in?"
"This is my reality, I want you to know I want to be with you." Robert closed the bathroom door and locked it.
"I want to be with you too." Holly gave Robert a kiss as it went back to just being them.
Robert undid Holly's robe then took her in, growling a little. Her body was flawless.
Holly couldn't help but blush. "I've always loved when you do that."
Robert grinned as he took his robe off. "There were a lot of things you loved."
