Angel stumbled away from Buffy's house swearing over Dawn, someone Buffy had spoken of, but he'd never met, attacking him. He gingerly touched the back of his head. 'What the Hell did she hit me with?' He wondered. 'And where's Buffy?' Buffy being the reason he'd gone to her house, to see if she was safe from the chaos happening in Sunnydale right now. 'Where else might she have gone?' While he considered that question, the three teenagers normally known as the Scooby Gang arrived at the Sunnydale High School Library and burst in on an oblivious-to-the-chaos Giles, startling him.

"Giles!" Willow immediately began to babble. "You will not believe what is going on! Someone did Magic and turned people into their costumes!" The middle age Librarian/Watcher dropped the index cards from the card catalog that he'd been going through and stared at the three teens invading his sanctuary.

"Willow? I thought you lot were on kiddie escort duty, what are you doing here?"

"We are seeking help to find a solution to this adventure we have been pulled into." Princess Buffy informed him.

"Buffy? What do you mean?"

"She means this, Giles!" Willow shoved her ghostly hand through his face, causing him to jerk back in surprise and stare at her. "I dressed as a ghost for Halloween, Giles! I think I died for real!"

"Oh dear. And Buffy and Xander?"

"Them too. Giles, this is Princess Buffy of Storybook Castle and Dr. Stephan Strange, the Sorcerer Supreme." Willow introduced them both. "Guys, this is Rupert Giles, Librarian of Sunnydale High School."

"Willow informed us that you know something of Magic." Dr. Strange commented. "I need to study the Magic that caused these transformations if I'm to have any hope of reversing this. Children have been turned into literal monsters out there. Who knows how many might be hurt before this chaos ends?"

"Oh dear." Giles repeated, staring at them and trying to catch up.

"What is the mystical energy I feel in this room?" Dr. Strange inquired.

"You can feel it?" Giles asked, surprised. "That's the Hellmouth, an area of mystical convergence where reality is torn and energy from a literal Hell is leaking out. We guard it to keep demons and humans in league with them from attempting to open it."

"Under a High School where children are?!" Dr. Strange had rarely been so stunned as he was to hear that. "Have many tried to open it?"

"Several months ago a very old vampire succeeded in getting it open for a few minutes, before he was defeated and it was closed again."

"Vampires? I've dealt with them myself many times. However, at the moment neither them nor this Hellmouth are a concern. Studying and reversing the Magic is."

"Of course, you can use this table." Giles gestured at the library table in the middle of the room. "How well versed are you in Magic?"

"I trained under the Ancient One for seven years before being named the Sorcerer Supreme and have held that title since the 1970's." Dr. Strange answered.

"Very well versed than." Giles nodded. "I'm barely more than an amateur myself, I'm afraid, but I have an extensive collection of Magic books."

"We may have need of them if this Magic proves stubborn." Dr. Strange took a seat at the table and activated the Eye of Agamotto again and began a close examination of the Magic he could see on the two girls.

"Willow, can I talk to you in my office?" Giles motioned the ghost to follow him and closed the door once they were inside.

"Who or what is the Sorcerer Supreme, Willow?" He asked the only one of the three who seemed to know who they really were.

"A comic book superhero that Xander dressed as for Halloween." Willow answered.

"Did you all get your costumes at the same place?"

"Yes, a place Xander saw advertised called Ethan's."

A response that had Giles stiffening as he began to suspect who might be responsible for this...insanity.

"Xander as the Sorcerer Supreme seems to understand Magic." Giles mused. "If this Sorcerer's knowledge is something Xander currently has access to, he may be able to stop this. But we need to consider alternatives. The costumes seem to be the thing you three have in common, someone or something at the costume shop may have caused this. Can you show me where it is, Willow?"

"Sure, it's not hard to find."

"Then let's go, who knows this might become permanent if it goes on long enough." The two exited Giles' office and informed Dr. Strange and Princess Buffy of their own theory.

"It's worth checking out." Dr. Strange agreed. "The more avenues of investigation, the more quickly we solve this. If you find the solution before me, do not hesitate to end it, lives may depend on it. And one may have already been lost." He smiled sadly at the little redhead. "If I had the Book of Vishanti I might have been able to help you with your predicament, Willow. As it is, I can only hope that when the Magic ends, life will return to your body."

"Me too!" Willow followed Giles out, leaving Dr. Strange studying the Magic and Princess Buffy being drawn to the collection of books, so many more than even the Traveling Librarian had! She stumbled over one that she hadn't seen lying on the floor by Dr. Strange's seat and bent to pick it up.

"Did you drop this?" She asked, handing it to him.

"Set it on the table." He answered, distracted by his study of the Magic. Princess Buffy did so and moved to the steps, intent on the books on the shelves.
