Chapter 1636

A Dream Come True

It was determined Young Jesse, Mary, Laura, and Leticia would stick together. They would be chaperoned by Hanna-Camille, Holly-Cam, and Tricia. They decided to try the attractions at the top of the tall building.

Cammy, Sheila, and Ally would head for the casino in question. Since they were at the top of the tallest building on the strip, the girls wanted to make an exciting departure. They would use the bungee type setup which went down the outside of the building.

Leticia was a little concerned when she found out what Sheila was going to do.

"Are you really going to jump off the side of the building?" Leticia asked.

Sheila didn't think it would be a problem.

"There's more than one way to go down." Sheila said.

Ally and Cammy both gave Sheila a high-five.

Mary thought it looked to be the most extreme of the attractions at the top of the tall building.

"I thought the roller coaster was risky enough." Mary said. "What happens if it comes off the track? I've seen on the TV news where roller coasters derail all the time. What will stop it if it comes off."

Ally thought it was rather self evident.

"I think the best guess would be the ground." Ally said.

Cammy thought about the physics involved. Since the roller coaster cars were all hooked together it might present a new dynamic.

"The front part might come off of the track, drop down, and then swing into the building if the rear cars managed to stay on the track." Cammy said. "They would most likely smash through the glass windows and end up somewhere in the interior. It would be a spectacular entry into the building."

Leticia thought about all the glass it would crash through.

"Wouldn't all the people be severely cut from all the glass?" Leticia asked.

Sheila didn't see any need to mince words. Obviously the occupants of the roller coaster which crashed through the glass into the building would be minced themselves.

"There probably would be a lot of injuries to the survivors." Sheila said. "More than likely the impact would dislodge some of them from the roller coaster cars itself. They would fall straight to the ground. I might even see some of them pass me on my way down the bungee cord. Those who made it through the glass into the building would probably all need extensive stitching and blood transfusions, if they even survived."

Laura wondered about the safety of all the attractions.

"I'll let you three try it first on the outside of the building." Laura said. "If you make it, maybe I'll give it a go as well. I'm not so sure about the other things at this point."

The other girls talked amongst themselves. They would see how it went for the trio first before they gave it a try. There didn't seem to be too many takers among the other tourists there. They watched some others get harnessed up and go over the side. It didn't seem to be a problem. They didn't see any of the bungee cords break. There was no screaming on the way down. Even if there was, they didn't think it would last very long.

Young Jesse wondered about if the harness broke, what the impact on the ground would do to the power cell in one of the Metal girls. She was sure it would bring down the tall building as it blew away the bottom side of it.

"I'm going to go down the same way." Young Jesse said.

The Metal girls all giggled.

"That's just my speed." Sheila said.

Young Jesse snickered a little herself when she realized what she said.

"There's a rotating restaurant at the top of the tallest building in Sydney. It has a pretty good view. It's been called a multitude of different names over the years. They even serve a couple of exotic dishes there. If I remember correctly, the last time I was there they served emu and camel steaks."

The mention of the non-common animals seemed to rattle Mary, Laura, and Leticia.

"Giving a choice between eating those strange animals, and going down, I already know don't say it or laugh, the outside of the building, I'll take the outside of the building." Mary said. "If I'm going to go out, I would like to see what's happening. Besides, since we're going past people's rooms, we might catch some action on the way down. Great, I said it again."

Her statement drew laughter from all of the girls this time.

Hanna-Camille didn't think either one of those choices was a bad choice of protein. She analyzed all of the food Young Jesse ate. They both contained a lot less fat than a lot of the other animals which were consumed by humans.

"If no one told you what they were, you would eat them and think they tasted good." Hanna-Camille said. "You would most likely think it was beef, pork, or chicken, unless someone told you what it actually was."

Cammy, Sheila, and Ally wanted to get moving. They headed over and harnessed up.

"I'm going down first." Cammy said.

Sheila thought it would be more spectacular if she went down one of the lines hand over hand. Maybe if she was alone with the Metal girls, she would do it. She didn't want to upset the human girls. She knew she would be able to elude any of the authorities if they attempted to take her into custody. She didn't want any trouble for the human girls.

"I'm going down in style." Sheila said.

Ally wanted to mess with her.

"Are you going to take off your clothes?" Ally asked.

Sheila didn't like to be out and done by anyone, especially Ally.

"If I do, I'll go down right after you so you can go down twice as we go down the line." Sheila said. "All you'll need to do is tip your head up and I'll be right there above you."

Young Jesse didn't want things to get out of control.

"Let's try to keep it a little more civil when we're in public." Young Jesse said. "We have guests with us."

The group up top watched the girls all go down.

"They made it without any problems." Holly-Cam said. "I didn't see anyone impact into the ground."

Tricia was ready for her turn when they finished with the other attractions. She thought there was a lot of hoopla about nothing.

"We should get started here so we can do some other things." Tricia said.

Young Jesse, Mary, Laura, and Leticia talked about what it would be like. Hanna-Camille, Holly-Cam, and Tricia weren't worried about any of the attractions, or the bungee jump down the side of the building. They went ahead and got started.

Cammy, Sheila, and Ally all reached the bottom without incident. They wanted to head for the casino in question. They felt there was still some unfinished business there. They took one of the SUVs and headed down the Strip.

Cameron looked at Savannah and then at Anna. She took a step back and indicated for Anna to proceed.

Anna made a deal with Cameron previously, if she would be allowed to be Young Allison's first Metal girl. She looked at Cameron and nodded.

Savannah wasn't aware of the deal made by Cameron. She didn't agree with what Cameron did with all of the other Metal girls' chassis. She thought it was very unkind and extremely selfish.

Cameron moved over and took Savannah's arm as they moved over to the controls for the boat.

Savannah watched Anna go. She knew Terminators possessed extremely good hearing. She wouldn't be surprised if it was used when Young Allison and her were together.

"I don't want you to listen." Savannah said. "When it comes to Young Allison, I want you to always give her privacy. It doesn't matter who she's with."

Cameron looked at Savannah.

"Doesn't it bother you?" Cameron asked.

It did bother Savannah. She knew it shouldn't.

"Everyone is entitled to make their own decisions as to who their sexual partners will be." Savannah said. "I know some of my choices have bothered those I love very much. I'm referring to Young Allison and you. There's plenty of love to share. I think you're finding it out very quickly. There are different types of love and it can be expressed in many different ways. To become possessive is never a good choice to make."

Savannah believed if anything, possessiveness wouldn't make the other person closer, it would drive them further apart from each other. It would have just the opposite effect.

Cameron was still unaware of all of the sexual activity John was involved with since she was away with Savannah.

"I need to make good on my promise to the Metal girls." Cameron said. "They will all be allowed to be with John. I want him to be with all of them. He may be with all of the human females as well."

Savannah wondered if it included Riley. She didn't want to ask.

"Does it bother you?" Savannah asked.

Cameron looked at Savannah with love in her eyes.

"It did, but not anymore." Cameron said. "We all know who we belong to at the end of the day."

Savannah checked the marine radar for any other surface contacts around them. She wanted to give Cameron a few things to think about.

"I don't want you to forget it either." Savannah said.

Cameron turned down her hearing and watched as Savannah took the wheel.

Young Allison was thrilled about what happened. Everything was better than she imagined. She got dressed as Savannah told her to do. She wondered who would come in the door. She wasn't sure if it would be Cameron or Savannah. She almost hoped it was Savannah. She wanted to share with her again.

There was no mistaking the red hair.

It was Savannah.

Wait.

It was Anna!

'Is this for real?' Young Allison wondered.

Young Allison hurried over to Anna and looked at her for a moment.

It was for real.

Young Allison and Anna embraced and shared a kiss. It was a dream come true, for both of them. It was something they wanted to do with each other for a very long time.

Young Allison kept her Hi-Power in her hand until the car moved away. She was ready to bring it up in an instant and engage the threat.

Cameron smiled at the waitress as she smoothed her clothing.

"Thanks." The waitress said. "I've had some trouble with them before. I really don't understand the way some people act."

Cameron wondered how extensive it was.

"Does it only happen here?" Cameron asked.

The waitress looked around.

"So far they've only tried to touch me here." The waitress said.

Cameron didn't think it would be too hard to track down the lowered '48 Hudson.

"Do you think it's going to be a further problem?" Cameron asked.

The waitress was very appreciative.

"Not after the way you embarrassed them." The waitress said. "If I'm lucky, they'll never come back."

Young Allison didn't see any further threats as Cameron spoke with the waitress. She put the safety back on her Hi-Power when it didn't look like she would need to use it. She put it out of sight. It appeared as if everyone went back to doing whatever they were doing before the Lowriders arrived and left. The skateboarders were still off to the side doing their different tricks. She watched as a couple of the cars left and a new one arrived.

Cameron kept track of the arrivals and departures as well.

"Does any other car here ever give you trouble?" Cameron asked.

The waitress looked around. She took a moment to look Cameron over as well.

"Most people know to look and not to touch." The waitress said. "You have a very distinctive outfit. Are you - a dancer?"

Cameron understood the question for what it was. The waitress thought she was an exotic dancer in one of the gentlemen's clubs. She indicated her outfit with her hand.

"These are just some things I made on my own." Cameron said. "You'll see they'll both become very popular in the next few years. First it will be the boots, followed by the skirt. You'll even see some TV shows where they show up."

The waitress looked around at the cars again to see if anybody needed attention. She would need to check on the new arrival.

"I really like to get a set for myself." The waitress said. "I need to get back to work. Thanks for helping me. What do you call everything?"

Cameron indicated her boots, and then her skirt.

"These are called Go-Go Boots." Cameron said. "The skirt's referred to as a 'mini skirt'. This happens to be a micro mini skirt or a micro skirt. They'll both become very popular."

The waitress skated away. She headed for the new arrival. She looked back over her shoulder.

"I'll keep my eye out for them." The waitress said.

Cameron headed back towards the car. She didn't want Young Allison to worry. She could see everyone looked over in her direction.

Young Allison was glad to see Cameron wrapped everything up. She began to wonder about what Cameron said.

Cameron got back in the car.

"I'm sorry about the interruption." Cameron said. "I didn't care for the future Scavengers. To say vulgarities are one thing, to try to touch someone else is another thing. I can only allow for so much to happen before I need to intervene."

Young Allison wondered if Cameron would attempt to do anything about it. She wanted to downplay the issue. She hoped not to rack up a body count, or do something to inadvertently change history.

"I think it's best not to worry about it." Young Allison said. "I know Cammy and Sheila made the boots and skirt for you. I'm sure there's a set for me as well. I just wonder if you're pushing the curve with one or both of them."

Cameron didn't think it would hurt to move things along a little quicker.

"Short skirts have been depicted on several different female superheroes and in science fiction for a few years already. Super-Girl has been wearing one since her first appearance. It was a few years ago in the current time period." Cameron said. "It will be more so going forward. I can't take credit for the mini skirt and its various renditions."

Young Allison noticed Cameron didn't mention the Go-Go Boots.

"What about the boots?" Young Allison asked.

Cameron smiled.

"When we went into Schwab's, you could see it drew a few looks." Cameron said. "More than one individual took note of my appearance. As you know, there will be a few TV shows coming out with very short dresses and very short skirts. There will be a French designer who will come out with what will be known as 'Go-Go Boots' next year. I only pushed the curve a little bit."

Young Allison wondered if Cammy and Sheila were involved in any of the things Cameron mentioned. They all would have been doing things during the time frame they were in the past. She didn't want to make a big deal about it. She was certain they probably influenced more than a few trends.

"I'll bet." Young Alison said. "I was just glad you didn't go over and show off with the skateboarders."

Cameron turned their attention to where they were at. She could see there were four individuals now doing different tricks.

"Since we're already here I don't think it would hurt if I did a little sidewalk surfin'." Cameron said.

Young Allison was sure it was a bad idea.

The waitress was on her way back over. She arrived with a smile on her face.

"Do you two need anything else?" The waitress asked.

Young Allison handed Cameron the tray along with the trash.

"We're good for now." Young Allison said. "Thank you."

Cameron handed the waitress the tray.

"Keep your eye out for the new fashion trends." Cameron said. "You might need to hit a bigger city like Los Angeles to get on the first wave of them. You can catch the San Joaquin Daylight a few blocks away from here, and it will take you right to downtown Los Angeles. There are bus connections too, but they're a little more cramped."

The waitress took the tray from Cameron.

"Thanks for everything again." The waitress said.

She started to turn away from the car.

"Wait." Cameron said. "I want to give you your tip before we leave."

Cameron handed the waitress some more money.

The waitress already thought Cameron tipped her. It was a big tip too. She never had one quite as large. The waitress looked at the money Cameron gave her. She could see there were more than a few twenty dollar bills. It wasn't what she expected to see.

"Thank you." The waitress said. "I can't take your money. You already gave me a big tip."

Cameron smiled at the waitress and moved her hand away.

"The money's for next year. It's so you can buy yourself a similar outfit." Cameron said. "There's enough to get you to and from Los Angeles as well."

The waitress didn't know what to say. She took a long moment to look at Cameron. She wondered if she was an actress. She sure looked like she could be if she wasn't.

"Thanks." The waitress said again. "Who are you?"

Cameron smiled.

"Nobody…." Cameron said.

Cameron looked out towards the street. She detected an unmistakable sound.

Young Allison was about to say something when she heard the sound of what sounded like a high performance engine. She turned and looked in the same direction as Cameron.

The yellow Deuce Coupe passed by Buddy's on the main drag.

A Dream Come True

As each new day passes by
Many thoughts and feelings accrue
Sometimes it can become confusing
As to which ones to reject or pursue

Every new person encountered
Must make their own debut
Some will glance off like Teflon
Others will stick like glue

It doesn't take too much
For things to get knocked askew
They tend to go from bad to worse
They might even turn into a witches' brew

Even with everything in front of them
There are those who don't have a clue
Sometimes it takes some effort
To figure out what everyone already knew

As to what the future holds
Everyone would like to have a preview
When all of the cards fall into play
It can be a dream come true

Nobody
