Chapter 1

Discovering a mysterious feeling

''Oh, Chuck…'' said the girl in the back of the car.

''I know, I'm good…'' he carelessly responded.

The car stopped in front of the mansion. Chuck sighed and left the hot girl waiting as he entered the house searching for Bart.

''Father, I will leave for tonight.''

''Fine. I am busy anyway.''

Chuck was sure he wouldn't care about him not being home, it's not like it hasn't happened before, but he was a little hurt. He rolled his eyes and gave Bart a forced smile. He wasn't in the mood to cope with the girl so he sent her out of the vehicle.

''See you tomorrow;'' the girl left with a face full of excitement.

Chuck had planned to go to Victrola for a little show since he was tired. His eyes shut close as he fell in a deep sleep. His phone buzzed with messages from Nate.

''Some friends and I are going out. Do you want to come? Blair will be there too, just so you know.''

''What's Blair doing there?'' Chuck asked, still a bit sleepy.

''We had a date tonight, so I promised her she could come if I cancelled the date for the boys.''

''A little bit possessive, don't you think?''

''I didn't ask. Are you coming or not?'' asked Nate, who was mad because of the argument with Blair.

The truth was Nate didn't want her to come at all because it was a night for boys only, but she insisted until Nate gave in.

''Yes. Where?''

''Victrola.''

''I was actually heading there initially. See you there.''

''Do not bring any girls. I know you. Blair has a suspicion I am cheating on her.''

''Isn't that true?''

''Maybe… but my parents would kill me if they found out that I am not in love with Blair.''

''You told her you love her?''

''Yeah… I love her, but I am not IN LOVE with her.''

''I don't get it…'' Chuck said as he hung up in Nate's face. Chuck did not know what real love was. He didn't ever have a real girlfriend and he didn't say the three words to anyone. He lost his V card in the dumbest way to exist, it didn't have anything to do with love, as well as the repeated interactions with different girls every day. That's why he didn't understand Nate's situation with Blair at the moment. Chuck also knew who the girl Nate really loved was, but he kept the silence for the sake of his best friend. ''He is crazy.'' He said to himself. He was certain nothing could possibly change his mind about love, until the events that started in a normal night with the boys, and of course, Blair. The car stopped abruptly in front of the fanciest club Chuck was proud to own. When Chuck stepped in the boys were already impatiently waiting.

''You finally came. Show us around.'' one of them said.

''Yes, I have never been here. Show us that the rumours we heard about this club are true or not…''

Chuck already did not like Nate's friends, but he had no choice. ''If they tell their other friends good things about the club there will be more clients.'' Chuck thought.

''Where's Blair?'' Chuck asked completely uninterested.

He felt a tap on his shoulder and what he saw was perfection. Blair was wearing a long red dress with diamonds on it. It touched the ground and Blair could barely walk properly, but everyone loved it, especially Chuck. The sleeveless dress featured a round neckline and a zippered back. Her flawlessly curled hair completed the perfect look.

''Right here, Bass.'' she responded with a smirk on her face.

Chuck was speechless. He knew that she was dating Nate and wouldn't break up with him for the world, but the sudden feeling that built up in his stomach was telling him otherwise. Chuck didn't know what he was feeling in that moment, but most importantly he couldn't decide if he liked it or not. It was something mysterious he had never felt for anyone. And he saw lots of girls dressed even more revealing than Blair. ''Were the clothes the ones that initiated this feeling, or something else?'' he questioned it. Blair took Nate by the collar and gave him a passionate kiss, saying: ''You won't have time to look at other girls, because I'm here.'' Chuck didn't even have time to finish the sentence before he noticed Blair was on the stage. The music started and everyone gasped as Blair let another girl on the stage unzip her dress. Under the dress she was wearing a full black body. It looked like a swimming suit. The moves she was showing the crowd seemed to make Nate uninterested, but Chuck laid eyes on her like she was the only one in the room. There were half-naked girls there, but he didn't care. Blair was the only one he wanted to see. ''Why is she so interesting?'' he asked himself. In the middle of Blair's performance the door was pushed all the way, and another girl entered. But it wasn't any girl. It was Serena. The it girl. The girl all the boys desired. Nate looked away and the sparkle in his eyes couldn't lie. Chuck was aware of Nate's obsession with Serena, but he also didn't encourage it. Serena felt the same way, but she never said a word to Nate because she didn't want to hurt her best friend's feelings. That was about to change though, Chuck sensed it.

''Hi, guys. I was in the neighbourhood, I didn't expect to find you here.'' said Serena, like she didn't see Gossip Girl. There was already a blast on Gossip Girl about the night in the club they were having. Chuck greeted Serena not to be rude, but Nate kissed her hand like a ''gentleman''. That was just an excuse to kiss her. Blair didn't even notice Serena was there until she witnessed Nate's expression towards her. ''He never ever looked at me like that…'' Blair thought, but she tried to get that out of her head. ''Maybe I am just overthinking.''. Blair was so busy observing what was happening that she didn't realise that Chuck was looking at her the way Nate looked at Serena. Blair got off the stage and tried to be nice, but Serena caught up to her fake acting.

''Is something wrong, B?''

''No. I am just tired. I think I'll go home.''

''Oh, okay. Do you mind staying five more minutes? I just arrived!" Serena encouraged her.

''Sorry, no. You have Nate, you don't need me too.''

Serena raised an eyebrow at Blair, but Blair was fast to leave the club without anyone else other than Serena noticing. Chuck was between two worlds. ''Should I go after her or not? No… I don't care about her that much.'' He lied to himself. If the affirmation he made was true he wouldn't have felt the need to question that, but he did, so just a piece of his shattered heart belonged to Blair now.
