Godzilla and Kong stared at each other with contempt. Both battered and scared from their battle with each other and the metallic abomination that had arisen from the earth. Both had lost blood and were weary on their feet, but would fight if the situation came to it.

They glared at each other.

Godzilla reared to his full height and looked down at Kong who doggedly got to his feet and grabbed his axe which was still smoking. Godzilla roared at Kong and Kong roared back, brandishing his axe.

After it was clear that still, neither would bow, Godzilla and Kong waited in suspenseful silence for the other to start the next battle.

Kong looked at Godzilla, then at the dismembered corpse of Mechagodzilla and then finally at his axe. He pondered what would come of another battle, just more suffering.

Kong looked his advisory in the eyes and dropped his axe on the floor, letting the tip sink into the rubble, then huffed as if to say: "your move".

Godzilla slumped, as if an oil tanker had been lifted from his soldiers. He roared one final time, reminding his enemy that this was merely a temporary truce before turning and lumbering back into the ocean and swimming out of sight.

Meanwhile, across the globe, the titans watched the battle, and its conclusion. Neither had bowed, neither was the true alpha. Uncertainty spread throughout the titans. Their alpha was weak. Their alpha was unable to retain his throne.

Godzilla's rule worked on the basis that: most of the titans were too scared to mess with him, and with good reason. But now, his reputation was gone. There could only be one leader, and at this moment in time, there wasn't one.

The titans bickered telepathically. Some still loyal to Godzilla, other's actively wanting to hunt him down, and more with their own agendas. Despite their arguments they saw opportunity on the surface and while it took years for their ,still sleeping, minds to come to a conclusion the titans all decided to wake.

The planet seemed to tremble in fear as the titans once again awoke. Mountains walked the earth once more, the depths of the ocean spouted giants and islands began to breathe.

The Titans were back, and had descended into anarchy.
