Alright, here we go... disclaimer, this chapter is very sensitive for little things mentioned due to the content of this chapter and what's going on in this chapter. Viewer discretion is advised. :)
It was a dark night in the city of Sunyshore where most businesses closed. Streetlights were visible as the cars were parked. In one of the businesses, at 3:00am, there was an underground event happening. On a street, right around the corner from the gym, there was a lounge that was open. In the lounge, there were other trainers dressed up in their finest gowns and tuxedos. They were betting their money as they were watching… an octagon Pokémon Battle match. This time there was a Marshtomp battling a Feraligatr. Feraligatr clenched his fist, creating an Ice Punch attack. Marshtomp jumped up as he missed, opening its mouth. Brown mud struck out as Feraligatr was blind.
The battle continued as the trainers were roaring, placing their bets. One of them was excited as he was banking his money… all of his money. He laughed as he looked at them, "All I need to do is bet all of this and my wife and I will meet our needs!"
In the balcony, a man dressed in a black cloak laughed as he was watching him. He snapped his fingers as he was looking at the waiters, who had the money in brown cabinets.
"Go to the man down in the second floor… it looks like he could drain us," he said.
The waiter, without question, headed downstairs to meet him. He had orange hair with green eyes as he was wearing a black suit jacket with a blue dress shirt and black dress pants. He had chips that were all over the table, belonging to him. Apparently, he was up by a lot as he was putting all of his money to bet. The man turned around as the waiter appeared.
"The boss wants to see you… bring your chips," the waiter said, grinning.
Go over time and space…

Chapter 13: Battle Casino
One day ago…
Music was blaring as Carl was wiping down the office. As he was heading toward the front, his Butterfree was using scents to clean up the counters using the wings. As he collected it into a liquid container, he sprayed the area with a beautiful scent. He wiped everything down to the detail, making sure everything was nice for any incoming guests. Carl had a technology office built into the lighthouse while Setsuna and Stacy had their private investigation office. Xavier had his car delivery business. As everyone was working, the doorbell rang. Carl headed over to the main desk as he pressed the button.
"Timely Future Company, Technology, Investigation or Delivery?" asked Carl.
It was silent on the other side of the phone. Carl, deciding to investigate, headed toward the door. As he opened the door, he noticed a woman in her mid 20s. She had brown hair down to her shoulders with green eyes. She had a green dress with a purse. As she looked up, she had a distressful look.
"I'm guessing investigation," said Carl.
"Yes," she said, walking inside. Carl turned around as he looked at her, nervous, Carl sighed as he went toward the coffee bar, "Would you like a cup of coffee while I get our investigators?"
"Well, that would be great… cream and sugar?"
"Sure," said Carl, grabbing a cup. As he filled the cup with coffee and added cream and sugar to it, he placed it on the bar. As she went to have a sip, Carl walked over to the investigative office. Opening the door, he turned around as Stacy and Setsuna were on the phone with the police.
"Hey," said Carl, looking at them. Setsuna looked up as she muted the phone, "Hey, we're kind of busy. What's up?"
"We have a woman who is looking for a private investigator," said Carl.
"We're kind of busy trying to hear about something important," said Stacy, looking at Carl, "Could you look into it?"
"It's not my job…," said Carl, raising an eyebrow. Stacy stood up as she looked over toward the door, waving her hand over. As Carl walked over, Stacy placed her hand on his shoulder, "We are hearing about something going on in town. Pokémon have been severely injured late at night. We were asked to solve this. I am sure you can help alleviate. You don't have anyone for tech do you?"
"Nah, next appointment is at noon today," he said.
"Cool, handle it for us and let us know what we need to do," said Stacy.
Carl sighed as he turned around. Walking toward the door, he closed it behind him. Carl headed toward the coffee bar as he sat down. He poured a cup of coffee as he went to sit, "So, Setsuna and Stacy, our private investigators are on a conference call and asked me to take care of it… what can I do to get you started?"
"Well, I wish they were not busy," she said, "Guess I can tell you. My name is Sarah Marks. I am a 20 year old Pokémon Coordinator who has won tons of Pokémon contests and I am married to Jeff Marks, who was the top Sinnoh League contender of 2023."
"Oh yeah, he's great," said Carl, sipping on his coffee, "So, what happened to him?"
Sarah sighed as she went to speak, "I haven't seen him. Our money has been drained. Ever since he went gambling."
"Gambling?" asked Carl, "The only place you can go to is Veilstone and that's a hike."
"Not what he told me," she responded, sipping her coffee, "There's supposedly a Pokémon Fight Club in Sunyshore."
"Pokémon Fight Club?" Carl asked, almost choking. He learned that Pokémon were not supposed to fight each other in illegal manners. It violates the lives of Pokémon. He turned around as he looked at Sarah, sipping coffee, "So, what does this fight club do?"
"Simple. Fight Club is supposed to make bets and if you win, you take your winnings… but many people lost at that place. I've seen people's lives twisted. I told him not to go but he wanted to make the money for our future. How can we have a future now?"
Carl turned around as he reached for a pen and paper, "I'm going to talk to my friends. What's the address of this place?"
"Huh?" asked Sarah, "Why?"
"I'm sure we can investigate it for you," said Carl, "Also, whoever's running it, it's a felony. Pokémon Abuse is pretty much what we're talking about."
Sarah was cooperative. She was able to give the directions and accurate readings of what was going on. As soon as Carl wrote down information, he looked up as he escorted Sarah out. Sarah grinned as she turned to Carl. Carl nodded as he watched her leave. As she left, Xavier climbed up the stairs, heading inside, "So, my deliveries are done… why are you so confused?"
"I need to run this to Hoot… and Setsuna," said Carl, "Looks like we may have a case."
"A case, again?" asked Xavier, "Not another robbery."
"Um, money is involved… gambling over Pokémon… possibly," Carl replied. Turning around to Setsuna and Stacy's office. Xavier looked up in response to Carl, putting everything together. As Carl opened the door, Setsuna looked up as they just hung up. Stacy turned around as she looked at Carl, "How'd it go?"
"We have a case," said Carl, "The Sunyshore Steel House… apparently, your client can't find her husband and he may be involved in gambling for Pokémon Battles. She described it as a Pokémon Fight Club."
Stacy looked down at her computer and then at Setsuna, "A connection?"
"This gives us a motive to investigate," the red ranger said, "Anything about Sarah?"
"She's married to Sinnoh Contender Jeff Marks. He's been gambling their life savings into Pokémon Fight Clubs," Carl responded. Xavier turned around as he looked at him, "Don't people realize that gambling over Pokémon is illegal?"
"Not to mention hosting a fight club for Pokémon. That's actual abuse," said Xavier.
The red ranger stood up as she placed her hands on the desk, "Well, call Mason…"
"Meanwhile," Carl said, turning to Setsuna, "Would it be okay to run this with Hoot?"
Setsuna shook her head as she turned to Carl, "Not yet. We don't know if it is Capone operated. But, if we can get an investigation started, we can cross our p's and q's. Hoot can only help us out if it is a Capone situation. Hoot can give us details about present day stuff due to historical facts."
"Got it," Carl responded.
Sunyshore Steel House… Present Day…
Xavier's car drove past the Steel House, pulling into a parking spot along the main strip. Setsuna and Stacy were just sitting around with Xavier in the driver's seat. The rangers turned around as Mason was sitting in the back, dressed in a brown suit with a white dress shirt and golden tie. He had sunglasses as he turned around, "I got this."
"Wait… no funny business. Get in and find out what's going on," said Setsuna.
"Why couldn't Carl do this?" he asked, getting out of the car. As he closed the door behind him, Setsuna took a deep breath as she turned to Stacy. Xavier pulled away as he headed toward another street. Setsuna turned around as she looked at Xavier, "What are you doing?"
Xavier turned around as he hid the car, placing the car in park. As he opened the door, he headed toward the trunk. Setsuna walked over as she got out with Stacy behind her. Both looked at Xavier as he was now currently getting dressed in a black blazer with a blue and yellow Hawaiian shirt. He also had blue sunglasses with shades. He also had a blue bandana on his head.
"What are you planning?" asked Setsuna.
"If Mason messes up, someone from the outside would have to go…," he said, grabbing a fake cigarette, "Now… let's just hang out and wait."
"How?" asked Stacy.
Setsuna grinned as she reached for her Chrono Morpher. The Chrono Morpher, besides morphing and communicating with others can also be used as a wire to listen into undercover. Pressing a few buttons, the three rangers were able to listen in on Mason's progress.
Mason pulled the door open as he walked inside. As he headed straight across the hall, seeing that the Steel House was nothing more than just a music studio, he headed toward two people with sunglasses on. They wore red suits with golden buttons. Both looked at Mason as he looked at both.
"I want to place my bet…" he said.
One of them stepped forward as he looked at him, "What's your price?"
Mason chuckled as he folded his arms, "To start? One hundred Pokédollars. It's not much, but I can win more."
The security guard turned around, seeing the other. The other shrugged as the guard opened the door. Mason grinned as he turned around, "Thank you very much."
As he headed toward the door, he stepped inside into a dark stairway. Noticing the red railing, he held on as he headed down the stairs. Of course, it felt like an underground entrance to somewhere else. As he headed down the stairs, he could hear the sound of chomping and swinging. Walking inside, he placed his money to the side, getting chips. As he sat down at a table, he looked over as he noticed another waitress. She was wearing a purple dress with a silver crown, looking down at him.
"May I ask you for a drink?" she asked.
"Black Persian… hold the ice," he said, "I like my beer warm."
She grinned as she walked away. Mason nodded as he was looking at her. Examining, he noticed that she was walking abnormally as if she was a robot. He turned around as he reached for his glasses. Carl made a device inside the glasses to examine if people were real or robotic. Before he could, he heard a commotion.
"What do you mean I lost?"
Mason turned around as he noticed what was going on. He turned around to see that the Feraligatr, which was fighting the Electabuzz was down. Obviously, Feraligatr was wagered to win. He turned to the man, who freaked out.
"Pay up the debt," he said.
Mason walked over as he received the beer from the waitress, heading toward the commotion. He turned around to see the individual that was described by Carl. The waiter turned around as he looked at him, "May I ask you to sit down and not interfere?"
"Of course… how much does he owe you?"
"None of your concern," he said, "Now, please sit down."
Mason sighed as he looked at him, "I was going to help you. Guess I will… head back to my seat."
Mason turned around, noticing who it was. He went to sit down as he was watching the next battle. This time, Electabuzz vs. Machamp. He watched a few referees bring the Feraligatr back. As he watched the whole thing happen, Mason reached for his morpher. Sending a few texts, he looked up as he saw a few more waiters coming around him. Hiding, he looked as he noticed Jeff being taken by a few waiters. He turned around as he went to get up. Walking toward them, he then noticed someone in a black cloak, looking down at the arena. He turned around as he headed toward the area. As he went to sip his drink, he wasn't aware that he was walking into someone. As he did, the beer he was drinking flipped and landed on the table. Mason looked up in concern as the security guard grabbed him by the suit.
Struggling, the guards were not one to play with. As he was being escorted to the exit, he climbing up the stairs with them. The doors opened as Mason was thrown out. Landing on the ground, Mason looked up as he noticed Xavier looking at him.
"Don't meddle with our affairs… no refunds… get out!"
"But," Mason said, "My money!"
Xavier grabbed him by the collar shirt and looked at him, "To hell with your money."
He clenched his one fist and punched him in the stomach and then kicked him to the ground. Xavier turned around as he grabbed a bunch of bills, "500 pokédollar entry… and I can be a contender in your club."
As he headed down, Mason coughed as he stumbled outside. Pushing the door, he headed toward the car as he landed in the backseat. Stacy and Setsuna watched as he laid down. Mason was somewhat beat up.
"Did you find Jeff?" asked Setsuna, "Looked like you did."
"Yeah. I would've found out too if I didn't trip. But, it seemed like they knew I was meddling," said Mason.
"So… he was being taken?" asked Stacy.
"Yeah. He couldn't pay his debt. That Feraligatr though… it was beat up."
"How?" asked Setsuna.
Mason shook his head as he looked at the red ranger, "It was very graphic to see. They pay to have Pokémon fight dirty. And security, the waitresses, they did not seem human. No one could lift me and throw me unless…"
"They were Centuroids in disguise?" asked Stacy.
Mason nodded, "They were also moving robotically. I was checking out a waitress intentionally. She wasn't moving normally. The security guards were not moving like normal humans."
"So, this is 100 percent a Capone Gang case," Setsuna replied, sighing, "How was he able to take over one of the biggest arts district buildings and turn it into a casino for Pokémon Fight Club?"
"That's what I want to know," said Stacy.
"Well, let's head back to the lighthouse with the evidence gathered with Carl. Let our client we found him but give us time to bring him back… and then Hoot will investigate the rest," Setsuna said, turning to Mason, "Hopefully, Xavier will be able to gather more evidence. You at least gave us a good start."
"There's something great about this," said Stacy, turning to Setsuna, "At least it's an open-shut case."
"Once we gather more evidence," Setsuna said, "At least we know Capone could be behind it. But, why?"
"Simple. Making a profit… in the most illegal way," Mason replied. Cringing in pain, Setsuna nodded as she turned the ignition on. As the car drove away, Xavier was by himself underground.
Underground…
Xavier placed his sunglasses in his pocket as he went to hang up his coat. As he was stepping into backstage, he froze. He noticed some of the people that were there. They were dressed up in polo shirts or dresses. Their faces were staring at him. Xavier, trying not to be nervous, turned around as he noticed the wild Pokémon that were there. They were all in pain, including the Feraligatr that was on the ground. As he went to touch him, one of the trainers smacked his hand.
"Step away from him! He's my only chance to win the money needed," he said.
"Money needed?" asked Xavier.
Back office…
Jeff was thrown to the ground as the security guards left him be. As the doors closed behind him, he looked up as Jeff gulped. Two Centuroids grabbed him and threw him to a chair. The man, who was in a cloak, turned to him as he went to speak, "So, you won't give up your money?"
"I need it for my wife. Please let me go," he said.
"Nope. Capone needs that money… you are going to have to fight for it."
"I'm not putting my Pokémon in the ring… no way!" he shouted.
He turned around as the two Centuroids had laser pistols pointing at him. Jeff gulped as the man revealed his black cloak. Jeff freaked out as he saw what was going on. He was a Machoke with a Tentacruel like mask. He had a golden M necklace with a red cape. His eyes were dark green and instead of a grey skin complexion, it was more yellow. He laughed as he looked at him.
"Conquistachoke… All-time wrestler Conquistachoke. I am known for running fight clubs. And your Pokémon will fight," he replied, "Now, head downstairs."
Underground…
"What do you mean?" asked Xavier, "He's hurt. I was just curious."
The fighter grabbed him by the arm, "Dude. You need to get out of here while you can. This whole fight club is run by Conquistachoke. He's one of those criminals from Capone's gang."
"How do you know?" he asked.
"Because when we refused to pay up our debts, we now have to fight. These Pokémon are to fight each other until our debt is paid," he said, looking at his Feraligatr, "You need to get out of here… I would head out ASAP."
The fighter turned around as he went to walk away. Quickly, Xavier headed toward one secret corner of the area. He then turned around as he reached for his morpher, "Setsuna, come in…"
Sunyshore Lighthouse…
As Mason's wounds were being tended to by Stacy, Setsuna reached for her morpher as she pressed the button, "What's up?"
"You need to get down here, now. Capone is running this operation. Conquistachoke is the criminal. If trainers don't pay up, trainers have to send their Pokémon to fight for the death until their debt is paid," said Xavier over the intercom.
"So, murder of a Pokémon?" asked Carl, "What the hell? And people actually are paying for this?"
"A lot of people are going to be in jail…," said Stacy, looking at the rangers as she finished bandaging Mason.
"What do we know about Conquistachoke?" asked Xavier.
Hoot, overhearing the conversation, chimed in as his report appeared on the screen. The rangers looked up as the database was going through. The image appeared on the screen, "Conquistachoke was sentenced for 30 years just for running illegal casinos. Specifically, just on money alone or future things. To run a fight club, this could be a murder charge."
"Murder charge or Pokéslaughter?" asked Setsuna.
"Well, if we don't do something, it could be a murder charge. How many Pokémon are down there Xavier?" asked Hoot.
"According to my location, it seems like there's 20…. We could probably send him away for a long time," Xavier replied.
"Xavier, get out of there," said Setsuna.
"No way… I need to find Jeff and then I'll go," said Xavier over the intercom.
"But, we need to break in and stop it," said Stacy, looking at her morpher, "Get it through your thick skull."
"Get it through your thick skull. I was greeted underground to fight, not to gamble. Your best bet is to get inside," he said.
"I was kicked out, remember?" Mason asked over the intercom.
Xavier shook his head, groaning on the intercom, "I have to go. Just get here."
"Be careful…" said Setsuna.
As the communication ended, Mason looked up as he stood up from the chair. Setsuna turned around as she turned to Hoot. Hoot nodded as it looked at the rangers, "Xavier's right. He's way in over his head. You will have to infiltrate."
"The question is… how?" asked Stacy, "Mason was kicked out, they are going to recognize him."
Setsuna turned to Mason as he looked at her. She sighed as she managed to stare at the wall, thinking through the plan. She lifted her head as she turned to the rangers, "Prepare to go undercover… we need to make sure no Pokémon or human get harmed."
"And how do we do that?" asked Carl.
Setsuna turned to Carl, "Your Venusaur, does it still use Sleep Powder?"
"Of course," said Carl, looking at her as he went to pick up Venusaur's Poké Ball. He then stopped as he turned to Setsuna, "Why?"
"I'll help you. Make sure you were a gas mask…" said Setsuna, grinning. Mason and Stacy were very curious, but didn't want to stay for the fireworks as they headed out of the lighthouse. The last thing they needed was to be knocked unconscious.
Backstage…
Quickly, Xavier placed his Chrono Morpher into his pocket. As he was wiping his sunglasses, he placed them on his forehead as he went to take a fake cigarette from his pocket. Placing it in his mouth, a shadowy figure looked up as he was smacked in the face. The cigarette fell out as he looked up. The shadow figure was male with black shades and a black suit.
"You are next to battle. Pick your Pokémon," he said.
"I'll use my whole team," said Xavier.
The bouncer, filled with anger, pulled him by the collar, "Choose one, punk."
Xavier said nothing as he was silent. The bouncer threw him down on the ground, breaking a few wooden planks. Looking up, rubbing his back, the bouncer walked away. Cringing, Xavier turned around as he saw Jeff walking toward the other side, nervous. He found him, from what he could see. As he walked on the stage, the lights turned on as he appeared in the ring. Looking across, he could see Jeff release his Magmortar.
"Magmortar… we have a life to protect, let's do this!" he said.
Magmortar nodded as it headed toward Xavier. Xavier took a deep breath as he released Electivire. Electivire arrived as he punched his fists, surging electricity. The bouncer, who walked toward them, laughed as he turned to the audience, "We have a special match. These two Pokémon will not also fight each other, so will their trainers. The battle is settled when one side of the match is down, place your bets."
"Oh great, now it's going to be double the amount and they are placing money on us…" he thought.
The screen appeared, plastered against the wall. As the time clicked from three to one, the bell rang. Magmortar released a fire punch at Electivire. Electivire dodged the attack and wrapped its wiring around Magmortar. Magmortar tried to throw another punch or break free, only for electricity to channel through, electrocuting Magmortar.
On the other side, Jeff threw a punch, only for Xavier to dodge it. As Xavier performed a shoulder roll, he turned around as he swept Jeff. Jeff yelled as he landed on the ground, only for Xavier to flip and land on top of him. Jeff cringed as he looked at Xavier, "Yo… what was that for?"
Struggling, Xavier grabbed him by the neck, "Whatever you do, fight like you want to get out of here."
"Who are you?"
Xavier rolled his eyes, "A friend."
Jeff saw an opening and punched Xavier in the stomach. Xavier released him as he landed on the ground. As Xavier stumbled, he smacked into his Electivire. Electivire swung its plugs, not releasing it was his own trainer. Xavier dodged it as Magmortar released a flamethrower. Xavier dodged it, only for his bandana to burn. As the bandana burned, Xavier watched as Jeff went to throw a kick. The battle continued on as they were fighting. Jeff had good footwork and could put up a quick defense. As he went to strike, Xavier blocked it and used a spinning hook kick, smacking Jeff in the stomach. Jeff was knocked down to the ground. Electivire released a Thunder Punch, knocking Magmortar to the ground. He then released a wave of yellow lightning, his Thunder attack. Magmortar yelled as he stumbled to the ground. As the two of them stumbled, Xavier turned to Electivire, walking toward each other. As they met, a black cloak was heading straight toward them. Looking up, Jeff went to stand up, only to get hit by the black cloak. A red electric shock appeared as he landed on the ground, cringing in pain. Yelling, he looked up as Xavier noticed a boxing glove.
"Jeff is eliminated! Xavier and Electivire wins!"
"That was cheating," Xavier muttered, looking up. He turned around, examining the glove, only for the bouncer to pick him up, "Move!"
Using his left foot, the bouncer pushed Xavier out of the way, with Electivire. As the two of them headed backstage, the bouncer closed the door. Electivire looked up as Xavier was brushing it off, "Are you okay?"
Electivire nodded, giving a wink. He then turned around, seeing the injured Pokémon. He held onto Xavier as he saw the trauma of all the Pokémon, "Why don't you go talk to them?"
Electivire shook his head. Xavier knelt down as he looked at him, "Pal, maybe you can get answers."
Sighing, Electivire reluctantly agreed to what his trainer wanted to do. Walking away, he headed toward Jeff, who was on the ground with his Magmortar to the ground, Xavier looked at him, "Why didn't you stand down?"
"I saw he was going to do it. That black cloak comes out of nowhere."
Xavier looked at Jeff, "That was for me. Not you. I could've been eliminated and been able to get you out."
"There's no way out. I betrayed my Pokémon, my wife… the Sinnoh League…"
Xavier took a deep breath as he looked at Jeff, "Well, I could be optimistic, but you brought this on yourself."
Jeff looked up as he turned to him, "Why would you say that?"
"Simple. Because my friends are detectives. Your wife came to us. She's worried and I am here to bring you to her, that is, if you can tell me why you have been missing."
Jeff took a deep breath as he went to speak. He looked up as he turned to Magmortar. He sighed as he went to speak, "I wasn't allowed to leave until I pay my debts to Conquistachoke."
"Conquistachoke…," said Xavier, "He's…."
"Capone's gang member. He runs underground casinos. It's a money making business. He takes people's money and if you win big, you challenge him… and he automatically wins. You need to pay the debt by fighting in the ring. He doesn't care if Pokémon get hurt."
"So, that boxing glove…" said Xavier.
"He can shoot boxing gloves from his hands. I am way over my head," he said.
Xavier turned around as he went to get up. He heard the PA system as the message was given after three blaring alarms.
"Master X and Electivire vs. Samson and Scizor. Report to the fighting field."
Xavier turned to him as he managed to get up from the floor, "Electivire and I will make sure to get you out."
Turning around, he left Jeff mending his wounds as he walked toward the corner of the wall. He reached for his Chrono Morpher as he went to speak, "Setsuna, how far are you?"
"I'm leaving the Lighthouse," Setsuna said over the intercom, "We will be there in 5 minutes."
"Good," Xavier said, "I have more than enough evidence. Let's take this guy down."
Turning off his morpher, he placed it in his pocket as he waved Electivire. Electivire nodded as they headed toward the ring.
Sunyshore Lighthouse…
Setsuna walked out as she was wearing a black and red sparkling dress with black heels. Stacy was wearing a pink dress with white shoes. Carl was dressed up as a waiter and Mason was dressed up in a business suit. She placed her Time Blaster on her ankle as she covered her dress. Getting in the car, the rangers followed suit.
"Was that Xavier?" asked Mason.
"Yeah," said Setsuna, "We got a motive. Let's arrest this guy."
Starting the car, the rangers headed toward the area. Setsuna pressed the gas pedal as they left the lighthouse, heading toward the street. In the car, Carl sat in the back seat as he had a grey and black canister, sealed tight. Mason sat next to him as he looked at it, "All that blue glitter?"
"I wouldn't open it," said Carl, smiling as Mason examined.
"Yeah, DON'T open it," said Setsuna, taking the steering wheel to the extreme.
Carl placed it in his back suit pocket as Mason rolled his eyes. Carl grinned as he folded his arms behind his back. Stacy turned around as she looked at Mason, "You know what that is."
"I know," said Mason, "It looked like a canister of blue glitter. It would be a great April Fools Prank."
Stacy rolled her eyes as she went to rotate her body back to the front. Setsuna was able to pull up to the back of the Sunyshore Steel House. Mason and Carl hopped out as they noticed a bouncer was sitting outside. The stairs were heading downstairs toward a door. Carl quickly grabbed a pair of green sunglasses. He turned around as he went to put them on. He pressed a white button as he examined the bouncer. Seeing all mechanical parts, Carl nodded slowly as he turned to Mason.
"He's a Centuroid…" said Carl, "Setsuna, why don't you let us out and we can take it from here. Pull into the front with Stacy."
Setsuna nodded as the operation started. The bouncer turned around as he was looking at Carl and Mason, seeing the car drive away. The bouncer walked over, "You are not allowed to be here."
Carl stepped forward as he looked at him. He sighed as he reached into his pocket, looking for his Time Blaster, "That's too bad."
Mason nodded as he followed. The bouncer quickly went to withdraw his pistol, only for them to grab their blasters. Green and yellow beams struck out as the bouncer was hit. As the bouncer was caught by Mason, the bouncer was laid down carefully. A red aura surrounded it as a damaged Centuroid appeared on the ground.
"Don't get kicked out this time. I need to get to the kitchen," said Carl.
"Why?" asked Mason.
"You'll see," Carl responded. Mason shook his head as he folded his arms across his chest, "Carl, I don't like where this is going."
Meanwhile…
Stacy and Setsuna walked into the battle casino. Stacy froze as she saw Xaver's Electivire fighting with Scizor. On the other mat, Xavier and a new opponent were taking charge. She turned around as she saw Setsuna, who was calm. Setsuna tugged her by the arm, "Just act natural. Come, let's sit. Don't get a drink though."
"Right," said Stacy, "Granted, I think I need to have one."
Setsuna and Stacy walked over as they sat down at one of the tables. Setsuna grinned as she placed her purse in front of her, grabbing tons of cash. She turned around as she noticed Xavier fighting the opponent, grinning she turned around as she placed her bet. Stacy watched as she was looking at what was going on.
Xavier kicked the opponent in the face with the front of his foot. The opponent landed on the ground, smacking his head on the floor. Electivire threw a punch at Scizor, knocking him down.
"Point! Master X and Electivire win this match!"
Grinning, a few waiters arrived, placing more coins and bets toward her. Setsuna grinned as Stacy turned to her, "Way to go."
Each round got nastier as Xavier was able to finish off each opponent. Electivire, somewhat exhausted, was knocking opponents left and right. At the table, she noticed her cash on the table piling. As her whole entire table was filled with it, she watched the last round. Grinning, she saw Xavier and Electivire finish their opponents.
"Excellent!" said Setsuna, grinning. Stacy shook her head as more were coming toward her. As she laid back, a bouncer arrived as he looked at Setsuna. Setsuna looked up as she turned to the bouncer, "I can go cash in."
"No… no," said the bouncer, "But, the boss wants to see you… actually, both bosses."
"Both bosses?" asked Stacy, "Go get 'em."
Setsuna grinned, saying nothing as she went to get up from the table. As the bouncers took her, Stacy watched as Mason walked over with a glass of water, "This one's good."
Stacy nodded as she went to take a glass of water, "Setsuna just went upstairs."
"Good. It's only a matter of time," he said, walking to the next table. Stacy nodded as she turned around to look at the battlefield.
Walking up the stairs, the bouncers escorted her up the red stairs. As the stairs were laced with golden fabric, she saw the wooden rails as she opened the door. Opening the door, she grinned as she entered the room. She froze as she saw a man in a black cloak, next to her was a human, wearing a grey pinstripe jacket and pants with a white dress shirt. He was wearing a black hat with green eyes. As Setsuna sat down in between, the man took out a cigar.
"So, you here for the match?" he asked.
"Yeah… why I am here?" she asked.
As the door closed, the man in the black cloak turned to her, "Choose your bet."
Setsuna grinned as she looked at him, "All of it."
The man next to her laughed, "She thinks she's going to win it all…"
"No one ever beats me," the cloaked man replied. Setsuna grinned as she folder her arms, "Then, you will be sadly mistaken when you lose."
Setsuna turned around as she was sipping a glass of wine that was on her table, watching the battle.
Xavier flipped forward as he swung around, grabbing his opponent by the neck. As he did, he heard something coming from behind. Turning around, he noticed a punch go straight for the opponent. The opponent fell to his knees as he landed on the ground.
"Winner, Master X!"
Xavier turned around as Electivire was struggling with the opponent's Scizor. It was now figuring out where the fist was coming from. As Xavier turned around, he noticed the fist was coming straight for his Electivire. He then turned around as he saw it was coming from the referee.
"This is rigged," he muttered. As he hopped off the mat, he headed straight for Electivire. As Electivire turned around, Xavier jumped over as he caught the boxing glove. As the boxing glove was thrown, an explosion appeared as Xavier and Electivire landed on the ground. The referee was startled as he looked up. Xavier turned to Electivire, "Electivire, wrap that referee up!"
Electivire nodded as he used one of his plugs to grab the referee. The referee squirmed as he was grabbed by the creature. The audience stood in shock. Everyone was quiet as Xavier walked toward the face. Kicking him in the face, the face dug in as the human mask was revealed. A Centuroid appeared as he stumbled. As he had another yellow flag to throw, it turned into a fist. Xavier grabbed the fist and threw it across. As the fist hit, a blue bolt surrounded him. Looking up, Xavier saw blue auras from the upstairs office. He turned to Electivire as he looked at the injured Scizor, "Get your trainer out of here…"
Scizor, crippled as he was, nodded as the Pokémon flew across, grabbing the trainer. Xavier turned around as he was heading up the stairs. The bouncers arrived with weapons, only for green and yellow beams to strike. The Centuroids were revealed as Mason and Carl arrived. Stacy appeared as she turned to the others, "Way to go…"
"The audience is knocked out though," said Carl, "They don't even know."
The four rangers turned around as they saw the audience members knocked out. Xavier turned around to see blue sparks flying from the referee and then the office, "Come on, we got to go upstairs!"
While the electric shock hit the referee, a blue bolt surrounded the man in the cloak. As Setsuna grabbed the cloak, she froze as she saw a humanoid Machamp criminal. Conquistachoke threw a punch as she dodged the attack. She then kicked the man in the dress suit. A blue aura surrounded him as Croak Capone appeared.
"Capone!" said Setsuna.
"We were so close… but at least I get to kill you! How did you know?"
"Simple," Setsuna replied as she walked in front of the group, "My friends were undercover. Carl knocked the audience out with a sleep powder mixture and all we needed to do was the find the source. The boxing gloves were coming from him!"
"She's good… kill her boss," he said, "I'll clean up the mess downstairs."
He withdrew his purple and grey machine laser gun, an upgrade from when he arrived from the 41st century, "Time Force Red… so long!"
Suddenly, a pink beam of energy struck him from behind. Capone landed on the ground as Stacy arrived with Carl and Mason. The four rangers had their weapons aimed at the villains. Setsuna turned around as she reached for her blaster, "Freeze!"
Conquistachoke laughed, "So much for cleaning up the mess."
"Wow… Pokémon Abuse and Betting," said Stacy, "You all will be going away for a long time."
"You won't be able to get out alive," Capone said, standing up. Carl laughed as he looked at him, pointing to the window. Capone looked down as he saw that the Centuroids and people were knocked out. Carl laughed as he looked at Capone, "We snuck in the kitchen and while Mason waited tables, I poured Sleep Powder in the alcohol dispensary."
"You little-," he said, looking up to see Xavier walk up the stairs, "And the others are also knocked out. It was great to be undercover. We also managed to get your contenders out before it became a problem. Capone, Conquistachoke, you both are coming with us."
Capone pulled the trigger as he struck the windows. As the windows shattered, Capone and Conquistachoke jumped down as they landed on the main floor. As the rangers reached the door, Capone released a spray of laser blasts. The rangers dodget it as the blast hit the wall. The five of them slid down the stairs as they were heading toward the main floor. Capone turned around as he looked at Conquisachoke, "Let's get out of here."
Capone pulled the trigger as the tables were being struck. Any glassware on the tables were shattered as the rangers ducked the blasts. The rangers followed the path as they headed toward the stairs. As the rangers headed up the stairs, Capone and Conquistachoke headed toward the alley way, only for two black plugs grabbed them from behind. Yellow sparks struck out as Electivire released a Thunder attack. Capone yelled as he was struck by Electivire's attack, landing on the ground. Conquistachoke turned around as Xavier jumped up, grabbing Conquistachoke. Conquistachoke threw a fist from his hand, a boxing glove emerged out, only for Xavier to dodge the attack and withdrew the Time Blaster. Blue streams of light pierced Conquistachoke as he landed on the ground. Capone turned around as he looked at the rangers, "This isn't over."
A blue aura surrounded him as he disappeared, leaving Conquistachoke. Conquistachoke went to throw another punch, only for Electivire to stretch the plugs out, electrocuting the criminal. As he landed on the ground, smoke was filling up as Electivire turned toward Xavier. Xavier stepped forward as he reached for his Poké Ball, "Return!"
A red beam struck out as Electivire was collected back in the ball. He then turned around as he turned to the rangers, "Let's go!"
The others nodded as they stood together, forming an X with their arms, "Time for… Time Force!"
Pressing the button, a red and white Poké Ball was flashing on the morpher as blue lights began to swirl. The rangers jumped up as they transformed into their suits. First, Setsuna jumped up as her suit materialized. In a four-way split screen, the other rangers transformed in their suits. The five rangers landed on the pavement.
"Time Force Red!"
"… Pink!"
"… Blue!"
"… Yellow!"
"… Green!"
"Poké Rangers Time Force!" the rangers shouted as Xavier stretched out the badge. Setsuna stepped forward as she grabbed the Time Force Badge, "Conquistachoke, you're under arrest!"
"Alright," he said, throwing up his fists, "Let's go!"
He went to throw a left punch. As he did, his mask began to glow in a purple aura as the punch released an orange shock wave. The orange wave was heading straight for Setsuna, only for Xavier to take the hit with his Vector Saber. He broke the wave with his saber as it exploded on either side. Setsuna stepped forward as she released a red energy pulse from her Vector Saber, "Vector Hurley!"
A red beam of energy struck Conquistachoke as he blocked it with his arms. He laughed as his boxing gloves began to glow in a purple aura. Black spikes formed from his boxing gloves as he dashed across. Xavier barely missed the attack as he spun from Conqusitachoke's move. Carl and Mason dodged it as he smacked his fist into a dumpster. The dumpster began to glow in a lime aura as the dumpster disintegrated. Stacy turned around, seeing the decomposition, "Since when did his boxing gloves can turn things acidic?"
"Careful…," said Setsuna, waving her saber, "We don't know how highly acidic it could be."
"Hee hee… I am full of surprises, rangers! Now, try this!"
His mask began to glow as he stretched out his fists. Needles erupted out of the gloves, heading toward the rangers. The five of them dodged the attack as the needles pierced cars and other items, disintegrating. Xavier turned around as he went to scan what's going on. In his visor, he could see that the mask was behind it all. As the mask began to light up, Xavier jumped up as he grabbed his other Vector Saber, combining them, "Vector Lance!"
Looking up, Conquistachoke went to strike, only for Xavier to strike first. After a few strikes across his chest, Conquistachoke went to throw another punch. Xavier grabbed his Time Blaster and pulled the trigger, his mask was pierced. Conquistachoke screamed as explosions appeared. Screaming, he cringed as his mask fell off. Conquistachoke's face now had black and red scarring. Ruby energy struck from his mask, hitting Xavier. Xavier turned around as he stretched his Vector Sabers. Quickly, Conquistachoke went to grab his mask before things could happen.
"Not today… This battle's over!" shouted Xavier, "Time Strike: Hydro Cross!"
Two blue lines, shaped like an X, went across Conquistachoke. As Conquistachoke screamed, the blade cut across the mask, only for the mask to have a purple scab. The purple scab went to glow as Setsuna went to jump up, finishing the job. She jumped up as she struck her hands out. Flames emerged from the blades as she jumped up. A red clock appeared behind her as her left hand stretched out and her right hand was above her head.
"Time Strike, Flame Slash 3!"
Two red lines cut across Conquistachoke as he landed on the ground. However, the mask began to glow in a purple aura as a humanoid Tentacruel appeared. The creature laughed, showing that it had the same body figure as Machoke, except its body had tentacle-like arms tied together with boxing gloves that were black and purple. The creature released purple and green beams, striking the city down.
"Great… how do we deal with two enemies now?" asked Mason.
As the rangers were stuck in a corner, the Chrono Morphers began to beep. Setsuna reached for her morpher as Hoot's voice appeared, "I already sent the Time Force Zords to your location. No need to worry about Conquistachoke's pet, Tentaclaw. Tentaclaw is just a robotic creature that attacks when Conquistachoke's mask is destroyed."
"So, we can destroy that beast without arresting it?" asked Carl.
"Correct. Quickly, arrest Conquistachoke!"
Conquistachoke stumbled as he removed his hands from his face. The black and red scars appeared as his face was shaped like a Machoke but with Tentacruel designs. His eyes began to release pink energy, striking them down, "You can't stop both of us!"
"Let's do it," said Xavier.
The rangers stood together as they went to energize their Vector Sabers. Conquistachoke released more energy beams. The rangers dodged the attack and then released their energy beams, "Quintuple Hurley!"
Five beams of energy struck Conquistachoke in the face. As Conquistachoke was screaming in pain, Setsuna turned to the others, "Now!"
"Chrono Access!"
The rangers pressed a few buttons as their Vortex Weapons appeared in their hands. The Vortex Launcher connected on top of the Vortex Sniper. The Vortex Blaster connected to the front of the weapon. The Vortex Vulcan and Vortex Pulsar combined on either side of the blaster, sideways. The Time Force Rangers held it as they aimed for Conquistachoke.
"Vortex Bazooka!"
"Target…," said Stacy.
"Locked On!" shouted Setsuna.
The helmets began to glow as the scope began to arrive in their visors. A crosshair appeared as Conquistachoke was stumbling in pain.
"Blizzard Beam!"
Pulling the trigger, a blast of ice energy erupted from the weapon. Swirling across, the blast pierced Conquistachoke. He yelled as ice began to form around his feet, heading toward his head, "Tentaclaw, kill them!"
As he began to freeze, Conquistachoke shrunk into a miniature figure. Quickly, Xavier grabbed his Time Force Badge as the criminal went into a capsule. Xavier went back to the others, just in time to see the Time Force Zords shooting Tentaclaw down on auto pilot. Setsuna reached for her morpher, "Time Flyer!"
The Time Flyer, a white and black jet with a blaster on top, materialized from Setsuna's Chrono Morpher, floating over the dock. The five rangers landed on the flyer as they headed straight toward the Time Force Zords. The five rangers jumped down as they landed in their cockpit.
"Seeing that we don't have to freeze compress," said Setsuna, "We can just use Beta Mode to stop him."
"Why not Alpha Mode?" asked Carl.
"Because the Time Force Saber is specifically for freeze compression. This is a robotic creature, it's more of a weapon than it is a creature," said Setsuna.
"Got it," said Carl, turning to the screen. He gulped as a green beam of energy pierced the Time Jet. As the beam hit the starboard wing, Carl hung on for dear life, "I've been hit!"
"We better get moving," said Xavier, "You good, Carl?"
"I can manage… just a graze on the starboard side," said Carl.
"Megazord Formation, Beta Mode!" Setsuna shouted.
The rangers held on as the Time Jets were floating up in the air. Time Jets 2 and 3 were flying up vertically. The jets folded as blue arms appeared. Time Jets 4 and 5 were flying below as the jets folded, turning into legs. Time Jet 1 formed to become the chest. All of the jets combined as the front of the jet opened, revealing a blue helmet.
Looking across to see the Time Flyer, the Time Flyer started heading toward the Time Force Megazord.
"Time Blaster!"
The Time Flyer folded into a white laser pistol with two black nozzles poking out. Picking it up, the Time Force Megazord Beta landed on the ground, picking up the it, Tentaclaw jumped up as it threw its left side. A purple aura surrounded it as it turned into tentacles, striking the Megazord. Blue beams struck the Time Force Megazord.
"Try this!" shouted Xavier, "Charge Beam!"
Pulling the trigger, the Time Force Megazord released yellow electric pulses, striking the tentacles. Tentaclaw screamed as flames and sparks flew. His left fist was severed. The Time Force Megazord then struck again, shooting Tentaclaw. Explosions surrounded the creature as the Time Force Megazord held on to the Time Blaster. Blue energy began to form from the Time Blaster.
"Time Blaster, Hyper Beam!" shouted Xavier.
A golden, aura energy pulse was released from the Time Blaster, piercing Tentaclaw. Tentaclaw yelled as blue sparks surrounded the body. Sparks and flames erupted as the creature exploded, robotic gears flying as it landed on Sunyshore City's streets. The Time Force Megazord Beta stood down from battle.
"Case closed!" said Setsuna, turning to the others, "Excellent job, guys!"
Sunyshore Steel House…
The club was desolate and quiet. The stage lights were still on as people were fast asleep. The doors busted open as the Sunyshore Police walked through. Rey and Ben were walking down the main floor as people managed to come to their senses. Chansey were coming toward the injured Pokémon as they were heading toward the Pokémon Center. As the police were doing an investigation, Rey walked over toward one of the tables, seeing all of the cash.
"You, Bennie, look at this…"
Ben turned around as he noticed the money that was on the table. Rey turned around as he looked at him, "This place was used as a underground ring."
"We need to arrest who else was involved. This is illegal," said Ben.
Rey nodded as he shook his head. Turning around, he noticed someone knocked out on the ground. Going to put his hand on the shirt, he felt something solid. Looking at the face, he turned around to see it was a knocked out Centuroid.
"Really?" asked Rey, "This just gets interesting…."
Sunyshore Beach…
"Jeff!"
Jeff, who was stumbling with his Magmortar, turned around to see his wife running down the boardwalk. His eyes grew as he smiled with excitement, "Sarah!"
The two trainers ran toward each other, embracing in a hug. As Sarah hugged him close, she looked at him, "Never ever do that again."
"True," said Jeff, "You are right. We should've went to another league."
"Well, there's always second chances," she said, grinning as she held his face, "Let's go home."
As the couple started their way back, the blue ranger observed, smiling. Xavier was also walking down the boardwalk with medical tape on his right arm. As he was heading toward the beach, he sighed as he was wearing a black tank top and blue bathing suit. He shook his head as he headed down the stairs, the feet were touching the sand as he turned around to see Setsuna, who was wearing a white t-shirt with red shorts. She also had black sunglasses.
"So," said Setsuna, "How does it feel to go in an underground fight club?"
"I will never do that again," said Xavier, "Hopefully, Jeff got out before the cops showed. I heard there were tons of connections with Capone."
"So… he has already started his empire without taking the world by force," said Setsuna, turning to Xavier. She shook her head, "That's how it starts."
"Great," said Xavier, sighing as he turned around, "I must admit though… it's interesting to see what's its like on the other side. Going undercover was not my forte."
"It's part of the job," Setsuna responded, "Look at it this way, he's captured."
"True," said Xavier, sighing as he turned to the ocean waves. He noticed Stacy, Carl and Mason hanging around with a pie of pizza and a black and yellow tent over them with five white chairs. Stacy noticed them as she was waving her hands, "Hey! Before the Pokémon eats them!"
Xavier chuckled as he turned to Setsuna. Setsuna shook her head as the two were dashing across toward the site.

Poké Rangers Time Force Chapter 14: The Last Race
A/N: So, this was a heavy chapter to write. If you watched Time Force, they only showed the monster criminal fight footage. Never talked about what the crime was, so I figured it would be fun to use Timeranger's adaptation. So, Xavier went in to fight and the others waited to bust the criminals. This was also the first chapter I've done where two monsters fought at the same time. It's been a while.
