Chapter 121: The Charicific Valley
Hello everyone, this chapter will mainly cover my take on the "Charizard's Burning Ambitions" episode from the anime and I hope you all enjoy!
The chapter begins 2 days after the last chapter ended. During this time the gang continued heading to their destination of Azelea Town for Ash's next gym battle. Ash during this time has been training his Pokémon a lot after his battle against Harrison and has defeated a few trainers on the way. Ash's Charizard has been taking his training more seriously than before as he tries to grow stronger as fast as he can. We now come into present time and see the group somewhere in the mountains with a lake nearby.
Brock along with is Pokémon consisting of Steelix, Kangaskhan, Garganacl, Bastiodon, Vulpix and Stantler are all taking a nap near some shade. Misty along with her Vaporeon, Poliwag, Kingdra, Starmie, and Arctovish are currently swimming in the lake while her Togetic and Slowking are playing with each other. We now go over to Ash training his Pokémon consisting of Pikachu, Gyarados, Charizard, Dragonite, Incineroar, Pignite, Chikorita and Sneasel. The mons are in teams of 2 it's Chikorita vs Sneasel, Pignite vs Incineroar, Charizard vs Dragonite, and Pikachu vs Gyarados. We see Chikorita going to hit Sneasel with Tackle as Ash speaks.
"Sneasel back away then use Sludge Bomb!" Ash calls. When Chikorita goes to hit Sneasel the mon quickly jumps back dodging Chikorita's attack and landing a few feet away. Sneasel then fires out multiple bombs of Sludge that head for Chikorita as Ash speaks.
"Chikorita dodge then use Seed Bomb!" Ash calls. Chikorita nods as she easily evades the poison bombs of sludge then fires out a grassy seed from her mouth that heads for Sneasel as Ash speaks.
"Sneasel knock it away then use Quick Attack and Chikorita counter with Tackle!" Ash calls. Sneasel sees the Seed bomb coming and swings out her right arm easily getting rid of it. Sneasel then shoots forward at a fast speed going to hit Chikorita while Chikorita shoots forward and collides with Sneasel. When the two mons collide, they begin trying to overpower the other until they then back away from each other. The two mons are looking at each other as Ash then looks over at Incineroar and Pignite then speaks.
"Pignite use Flamethrower and Incineroar counter with Darkest Lariat!" Ash calls with the two-mons nodding. Pignite shoots out a big stream of fire from his nose that heads for Incineroar. Incineroar covers his hands in a yellow fire and spins easily cutting through the flames and heads for Pignite as Ash speaks.
"Pignite use Flame Charge!" Ash calls. Pignite nods as he covers his body in fire, shoots forward and collides with Incineroar. The two mons push each other back and forth until they stop using their moves and get into a grapple. As they're grappling Incineroar's easily overpowering Pignite and is heating up his belt as Ash speaks.
"Incineroar use Flamethrower and Pignite block!" Ash calls. Incineroar's belt heats up more and fires out a big stream of fire. Pignite quickly breaks out of the grapple and blocks the flames with his arms. As Pignite's blocking the flames push him back a few feet away until there's an explosion. Out of the explosion appears Pignite who's jumped high in the air and is looking at Incineroar as Ash speaks.
"Pignite use Heat Crash and Incineroar dodge then use Fire Blast!" Ash calls. Pignite covers his body in fire and falls forward heading for Incineroar. Incineroar sees Pignite coming and quickly jumps back causing Pignite to hit the ground instead. Once Incineroar gets a good enough distance away he summons a big blast of fire from his belt and punches it forward with his right fist making it head for Pignite as Ash speaks.
"Pignite counter with Fire Pledge!" Ash calls. Pignite nods as he flexes his biceps then punches the ground with his left fist summoning 5 pillars of fire that collide with the Fire Blast creating an explosion. When the explosion clears Pignite along with Incineroar are looking at each other and have smiles on their faces with Ash smiling too. Ash then looks over at Pikachu and Gyarados then speaks.
"Pikachu use Thunderbolt and Gyarados use Crunch!" Ash calls. Pikachu sparks his cheeks and fires out an electric bolt that heads for Gyarados. Gyarados covers his teeth in dark energy and bites down on the Thunderbolt easily destroying it as Ash speaks.
"Gyarados use Bounce and Pikachu use Quick Attack to dodge!" Ash calls. Gyarados covers his body in blue flying energy and shoots forward going to hit Pikachu. Pikachu quickly shoots high into the air and dodges Gyarados's attack. Gyarados looks up at the air born Pikachu who's sparking his cheeks as Ash speaks.
"Pikachu use Thunder times 6 and Gyarados counter with Hyper Beam!" Ash calls. Pikachu fires 6 large Thunders that head for Gyarados. Gyarados roars and fires out a large orange beam that collides with the 6 Thunders creating an explosion. Out of the smoke appears Gyarados who's now in the air and has reached Pikachu as Ash speaks.
"Gyarados use Crunch and Pikachu use Double Team to dodge!" Ash calls. Gyarados covers his teeth in dark energy and goes to bite down on Pikachu, but the yellow mouse quickly makes multiple clones of himself dodging the attack. Pikachu then safely lands back on the ground and looks at Gyarados while sparking his cheeks as Ash speaks.
"Pikachu use Thunder times 6 and Gyarados dodge then use Waterfall!" Ash calls. Pikachu fires out 6 large Thunders that head for Gyarados. Gyarados sees the Thunders coming and manages to easily evade them. Gyarados then covers his body in water and shoots downward heading for Pikachu as Ash speaks.
"Pikachu use Quick Attack to back away and Gyarados land then use Hyper Beam!" Ash calls. Pikachu sees Gyarados getting closer then quickly backs away with Quick Attack. Gyarados manages to safely land back on the ground then looks over at Pikachu and fires out a large orange beam that heads for the yellow mouse Ash speaks.
"Pikachu counter with Thunder!" Ash calls. Pikachu quickly fires a large Thunder that collides with the beam creating an explosion. Ash then calls for his next commands.
"Now Pikachu use Wild Charge and Gyarados counter with Dragon Tail!" Ash calls. Out of the smoke appears Pikachu who has his body covered in electricity and goes to hit Gyarados. Gyarados quickly covers his tail in green dragon energy and collides with Pikachu. When the two mons collide, they go back a forth for a little while until they back away from each other. The two mons look at each other making Ash smile as he then looks over at Charizard and Dragonite then speaks.
"Charizard, Dragonite use Dragon Pulse!" Ash calls with the two-mons nodding as they roar and each fire out their dragon beams at each other which collide creating an explosion. Ash then speaks.
"Now Dragonite use Dragon Rush and Charizard block it!" Ash calls. Out of the smoke appears Dragonite who has her body covered in dragon energy and is heading for Charizard. Charizard points his hands forward and collides with Dragonite. Dragonite begins trying to push Charizard back, but the fire lizard isn't moving causing Dragonite to increase the power of her Dragon Rush. Once Dragonite does that she begins to slowly push Charizard back as Ash speaks.
"Charizard fly in the air and Dragonite go after Charizard!" Ash calls. Charizard quickly flies in the air letting Dragonite go past him causing her to stumble a little bit as she then quickly begins to fly after Charizard. As Dragonite's going after Charizard she opens her mouth as Ash speaks.
"Dragonite use Hyper Beam and Charizard dodge then use Dragon Claw!" Ash calls. Dragonite roars and fires out a large orange beam that heads for Charizard. Charizard sees the beam coming and manages to easily dodge it. Charizard then covers his claws in green dragon energy and begins heading for Dragonite as Ash speaks.
"Dragonite counter with your Dragon Claw!" Ash calls. Dragonite covers her claws in green dragon energy too and collides with Charizard. The two mons begin trying to overpower the other as they then manage to break away from each other Ash speaks.
"Charizard use Dragon Pulse and Dragonite counter with Dragon Rush!" Ash calls. Charizard roars and fires out a big dragon beam that heads for Dragonite. Dragonite covers her body in dragon energy, shoots forward and collides with the Dragon Pulse. The Dragon Pulse begins to slowly push Dragonite, but she manages to destroy it and begins heading for Charizard as Ash speaks.
"Charizard dodge then grab Dragonite!" Ash calls. When Dragonite goes to hit him Charizard moves to the left and dodges Dragonite's attack. Charizard then goes to grab Dragonite as Ash speaks.
"Dragonite dodge with Agility then use Draco Meteor!" Ash calls. Dragonite nods as she speeds up and disappears before Charizard could grab her. Charizard looks up and sees Dragonite high in the air. Dragonite lets out a roar and fires out a purple orb of dragon energy high into the air that then explodes creating multiple meteors. The Meteors head for Charizard as Ash speaks.
"Charizard dodge!" Ash calls with Charizard nodding as he begins to easily evade the meteors Ash speaks.
"Now Dragonite hit Charizard with Extreme Speed!" Ash calls. Dragonite nods as she shoots forward at blinding speed and hits Charizard causing damage to the mon. Charizard groans in pain while Dragonite smiles as Charizard looks at her Ash speaks.
"Now Charizard grab Dragonite and use Seismic Toss!" Ash calls with Charizard nodding as he quickly grabs Dragonite spins her around making her dizzy and then throws her back on the ground. We see Dragonite lying on her back groaning in pain and when she goes to stand up, she sees one of her Draco Meteor's going to hit her as Ash speaks.
"Charizard quick use Dragon Claw!" Ash calls. Charizard quickly shoots downward covers his claws in green dragon energy and easily destroys the meteor before it could hit Dragonite. Dragonite's amazed by her master's strength/speed as Charizard asks Dragonite if she's alright with the Dragon nodding as Charizard helps her stand back up. After that the rest of Ash's Pokémon come over to make sure that Dragonite's alright with the mon nodding as they then tell Charizard good job on destroying the Draco Meteor with the fire lizard nodding. Off to the side we see Ash looking at his Pokémon as Misty and Brock walk next to him Misty speaks.
"It's a good thing that Charizard managed to get rid of that Draco Meteor in time." Misty says as Brock speaks.
"Yeah, it seems like he's gotten a lot faster too." Brock says as Ash speaks.
"After losing the battle against Harrison's Blaziken Charizard's motivation to grow stronger has increased and we've also been doing some training to help Charizard increase his speed so that he can catch Blaziken." Ash says as Misty speaks.
"I get it seeing as Dragonite knows moves like Extreme Speed and Agility you're having Charizard train against her so that you can come up with ways to deal with Blaziken's Speed Boost ability." Misty says with Ash nodding as he speaks.
"Yep, because the next time we go up against Harrison's Blaziken we're not going to lose. Right Charizard?!" Ash says with Charizard roaring in agreement making everyone else smile as they then hear a voice.
"Looks like my hearing was correct." The voice says causing everyone to look at the top of the cliff and see a woman with spiky green hair. The woman then jumps from the cliff and safely lands on the ground. The group look at the woman as Misty speaks.
"Who's she?" Misty asks as Brock speaks.
"I don't know but she's pretty" Brock says while having a blush on his face Ash speaks.
"Who are you?" Ash asks as the woman speaks.
"Oh, sorry for not introducing myself my name's Liza and I train Charizard in the Charicific Valley." Liza says with the group introducing themselves too as Misty speaks.
"The Charicific Valley? Hey Ash, didn't your dad mention that before?" Misty asks as Ash speaks.
"Yeah, he told me that it was a place where wild Charizard gather to become the strongest Charizard in the world." Ash says as he then looks over at Liza and speaks.
"And you're the one who trains them?" Ash asks with Liza nodding as she speaks.
"Yes, that's right but most of the Charizard there usually train with each other." Liza says with the group nodding as Brock speaks.
"By the way Liza you mentioned that you heard Ash's Charizard?" Brock says with Liza nodding as she speaks.
"Yep, you can hear a lot of things in the canyons here let me show you. Oh! Charla!" Liza yells as in the distance the group hear multiple roars from Charizard's who fire many Flamethrowers high in the air. The group are impressed as Brock speaks.
"She's right." Brock says as Misty looks at Ash and speaks.
"Hey Ash, isn't this great now your Charizard can do some training there." Misty says with Ash nodding as he looks at Liza and speaks.
"Hey Liza if it's alright with you can I have my Charizard train with some of the other Charizard's in the valley?" Ash asks as Liza looks at him and speaks.
"Sure, I don't mind as I'm interested in seeing how well your Charizard will stack up against the ones there." Liza says as Ash speaks.
"Thanks, and I'm sure Charizard will do great there." Ash says with his Charizard nodding, making Liza smile as she speaks.
"Well then now's it's time for me to call my friend Charla!" Liza says as up in the air they see a Flamethrower appear then a Charizard with a bow on its head and carrying a hot air balloon that's attached to its tail. The mon lands in front of Liza as she pets the mon then speaks.
"Before we leave, I'd like you guys to meet my good friend Charla, Charla say hi." Liza says with the mon nodding as it looks at the group along with their Pokémon and greets them with the group greeting her back as Liza speaks.
"Brock and Misty, you two can sit in the basket." Liza says with the two of them nodding as they return their Pokémon (Other than Togetic) back to their Pokeball's and go into the basket and making sure that they don't touch the groceries. Ash sees that there's no room for him and speaks.
"Hey Liza, there's no space for me" Ash says as Liza speaks.
"Seeing as there's no room back there you can just ride on your Charizard. You can do it right?" Liza asks with Ash nodding as he along with Pikachu get on Charizard's back. Chikorita along with Sneasel get on Dragonite's back while Pignite and Incineroar get on Gyarados's back. Liza sees that everyone's ready and speaks.
"Okay let's be off." Liza says with Charla nodding as it begins to fly in the air with Charizard, Dragonite, and Gyarados flying after it. As they're flying Misty looks at Liza and speaks.
"Hey Liza, do all of the Charizard carry passengers?" Misty asks as Liza looks back, pulls out a phone, and dials it. Once she does that the phone in the basket rings, which startles Misty and Brock as Misty picks up the phone and speaks.
"Um. Hello?" Misty says as Liza speaks.
"Did you need something?" Liza asks as Misty speaks.
"Oh no we're fine back here I was just asking if all of the Charizard's in the valley carry passengers." Misty asks as Liza speaks.
"No, only Charla does it as the rest of the Charizard in the valley are wild and don't carry humans or see them often. But there's people like Pokémon Hunters who try to see and capture them which is why the valley is a nature preserve where tourist aren't allowed without my permission." Liza says with Misty nodding as she speaks.
"Wait you don't think we're hunters, do you?" Misty asks as Liza speaks.
"Oh no I don't I could tell just by looking at you guys that you all care about Pokémon, so you don't need to worry as you're safe with me." Liza says with Misty, nodding as after that Ash's Charizard flies next to Charla. Ash looks at Liza and speaks.
"So, how close are we to the valley?" Ash asks as Liza speaks.
"We're almost there and can your Charizard keep up?" Liza asks making Ash smirk as he speaks.
"Yeah, he can" Ash responds with Charizard agreeing with him making Liza smile as she looks at Charla and speaks.
"Okay Charla let's go faster." Liza says with Charla nodding as it begins to go faster, getting further away from Ash and the rest of his Pokémon as Ash speaks.
"Charizard, Gyarados, and Dragonite don't let Charla beat you." Ash says with the 3-mons nodding as they begin to speed up too and manage to catch up to Charla, which impresses Liza. A few minutes later we see them flying through the clouds as Liza speaks.
"We'll be there once we get through these clouds." Liza says with the group nodding as a couple seconds later they make it out of the clouds. Once they do they see a big lake with spiky stone pillars, and a big rock formation that's in the shape of a Charizard. The group have surprised looks on their faces as Liza speaks.
"Let's land there." Liza says with the group nodding as Charla along with Charizard, Gyarados, and Dragonite land in front of a big iron gate. Misty, Brock and Togetic get out of the basket. Ash and Pikachu get off Charizard's back. Chikorita and Sneasel get off Dragonite's back and Pignite along with Incineroar get off Gyarados's back. Liza gets off Charla's back as she looks at Ash and speaks.
"I've to say I'm impressed that not only your Charizard but also your Gyarados and Dragonite managed to keep up with Charla." Liza says as Ash speaks.
"Thanks, they're pretty fast when flying through the air." Ash says with the 3-mons, agreeing with him with Liza nodding as Brock looks at the giant gate and speaks.
"This is a big gate." Brock says as Liza speaks.
"Not only is it big but it's also made with very tough stuff making it impossible to break." Liza says with Brock nodding as Misty speaks.
"So, behind there is where the Charizard are?" Misty asks with Liza nodding as she speaks.
"Yes, and it's the place where the Charizard are naturally trained." Liza says as Ash speaks.
"Naturally trained?" Ash asks with Liza nodding as she speaks.
"That's right. The Charizard here don't depend on a trainer's help to become stronger. They train and compete with each other every day, which helps them learn and grow. Seeing as the training here is so intense and the competition is so fierce the Charizard here are the best in the world." Liza says with the group nodding as Brock speaks.
"The same Pokémon with the same goal striving and training with each other to become the best that they can be." Brock says as Liza looks over at Ash's Charizard and speaks.
"So, Ash you think your Charizard can handle going up against the Charizard here?" Liza asks as Ash speaks.
"Yeah, because my Charizard has trained with not only my other Pokémon but has gone up against many tough opponents so he can definitely handle the training here and become the best!" Ash states with his Pokémon agreeing with him as Charizard lets out a roar and fires a Flamethrower in the air as Liza speaks.
"Only weak Charizard show off like that seems like your Charizard really does need the training." Liza says with Charla agreeing with her. This makes Ash a little annoyed as he speaks.
"Comments like that burn me up!" Ash states with Charizard agreeing with him as he accidentally fires a Flamethrower towards Ash. Pikachu quickly sees the flames coming and quickly jumps away as Ash manages to duck in time. Once Ash does that, he sees that he didn't duck fully, and fire is burning his butt. Ash quickly runs down the stairs and jumps in the water as Misty and Brock look down, having worried looks on their faces Misty speaks.
"You better cool down Ash!" Misty says as a few seconds later Ash appears from the water and begins walking up the stairs while having an annoyed/embarrassed look on his face. Once Ash makes it to the top Liza speaks.
"Like I said before your Charizard does need some more training Ash because showing off like that would not impress any of the Charizard in the valley." Liza says as Ash speaks.
"Okay but we still managed to make it here by keeping pace with Charla." Ash says as Liza speaks.
"While I did say I was impressed that your Charizard managed to keep up with Charla in reality Charizard making it here shouldn't be too surprising as any Charizard should be able to do something like that." Liza says as she continues to speak.
"Let me remind you Ash the Charizard in this valley aren't like the regular Charizard's you've seen before." Liza says as Ash speaks.
"Oh, really because if that's the case then my Charizard's just as good as any Charizard that live in the valley if not better! And we'll prove it!" Ash states with Charizard agreeing with him as Liza sighs and speaks.
"The Charizard here are at a very high level I would even go as far to say that some of them are equal to Red's and Leon's Charizard's your Charizard doesn't stand a chance against them. Are you sure that you want to try?" Liza asks as Ash speaks.
"Yeah, we want to try! In fact, I challenge you and Charla to a battle!" Ash states surprising Liza and Charla as Ash's Charizard lets out a roar and looks at Charla as Charla has a concerned look on her face Liza speaks.
"Sorry Ash but I'm going to decline as Charla isn't a wild Charizard I've trained her myself when she was just a Charmander." Liza says making Ash annoyed as he speaks.
"Fine. Then we'll just battle any Charizard in the valley! Bring them on!" Ash exclaims with Charizard roaring in agreement as Misty speaks.
"Ash and Charizard are getting too fired up." Misty says as Brock speaks.
"Not just them." Brock says as they look over at Ash's Gyarados, Incineroar, Pignite and Dragonite who're getting fired up too as they didn't like hearing Liza calling Charizard weak and that the Charizard in the valley would be too much for him. Over with Liza she lets out a sigh, looks at Ash and speaks.
"Okay Ash since you insist allow me to show you the competition." Liza says as she presses a button that opens the gates. Once she does that the group look forward and see many Charizard's battling each other, flying around, sleeping, and eating. They even see a few Charizard's that have scars all over their bodies and some of them glare at the group and give off an intimidating aura before going back to what they were doing before. The group look at the Charizard and are in awe as Ash speaks.
"Wow I can feel that a lot of them are strong but they're all as big as my dad's Charizard too." Ash says with his Pokémon agreeing with him as Liza speaks.
"You mentioned your dad before Ash just who is he?" Liza asks as Ash speaks.
"Oh, my dad is Red Ketchum" Ash says with Liza nodding as she speaks.
"I see that does somewhat explain your personality" Liza says as Ash speaks.
"Wait have you met my father before?" Ash asks as Liza speaks.
"Only one time when I was a kid. During that time my dad was in charge of looking after the Charizard here and your dad along with his Charizard came here to train." Liza says with Ash nodding as Liza speaks.
"So, Ash which Charizard do you want to have your Charizard battle against?" Liza asks as Ash speaks.
"I'm not sure. Who do you want to battle Charizard?" Ash asks as his Charizard begins looking at the other ones trying to see who he can battle and can tell that they're all strong. As Charizard continues to look he sees one Charizard that catches his eye that sleeping on the tallest cliff in the valley. Charizard points over to that Charizard making the others look as Ash speaks.
"So, you want to battle that Charizard?" Ash asks with his Charizard nodding, as Ash is looking at the mon he gets a sense of familiarity with it and takes a closer look. As he's looking, he sees that the mon has some red marks all over its body then gets a surprised look on his face and speaks.
"That Charizard it's Zard 2!" Ash exclaims surprising Misty and Brock as Misty speaks.
"It's here?!" Misty says as Liza speaks.
"Wait do you guys know that one?" Liza asks with the group nodding as Brock speaks.
"Yeah, you see a few months ago we encountered a Pokémon called Mewtwo who's the clone of the mythical Pokémon Mew who was created by Team Rocket and that Charizard is a clone version of our friend's Ritchie's Charizard who's name is Zippo." Brock says with Liza nodding as she speaks.
"So, it's a clone will that certainly explains his strength and the markings on his body." Liza says as Misty speaks.
"I wasn't expecting to ever see it again." Misty says as Ash speaks.
"How long as it been here?" Ash asks as Liza speaks.
"Let's see he appeared one day a few months ago and battled/defeated all of the Charizard's in the valley. I gave him the name "Red King" due to the red markings on his body and also the power of his fire attacks." Liza says with the group nodding as Liza continues to speak.
"Also, Ash I suggest for your Charizard to choose a different opponent as there's honestly no way your Charizard can beat the Red King the way it currently is. As in my opinion I believe that the Red King is possibly close to your father's Charizard in strength (only when Red's Charizard isn't transformed)" Liza says as Ash speaks.
"That may be true, but my Charizard isn't going to back down he lost to that Charizard before but since then he's grown a lot stronger and can definitely beat him this time around. I'm sure of it!" Ash says with his Charizard, agreeing with him with Liza nodding as she speaks.
"Okay I'll give you permission to battle him but don't say I didn't warn you." Liza says with Ash nodding as he looks at his Charizard and speaks.
"Okay Charizard go do it." Ash says with his Charizard nodding as he begins flying over to the Red King. As Charizard's approaching him the Red King sees Charizard coming and instantly remembers the time they battled each other on New Island. A couple seconds later Ash's Charizard reaches him and requests to battle him saying that he's grown a lot stronger. The Red King looks at Charizard. He can tell that Charizard's grown stronger since the last time they met but can also tell that he's still no match for him. The Red King tells Charizard that he's not interested in battling him and tells him to go away.
This annoys Charizard, causing him to roar at the Red King telling him to battle him but the Red King declines again. This makes Charizard angry and just when he's about to use Flamethrower the Red King glares at him. Once he does this immediately causes Charizard to stop as he gets the feeling that if he fires the move, it'll end badly for him. The Red King then asks Charizard if he's really serious about battling him with Charizard saying that he is. The Red King nods then points over at another Charizard who's sleeping and tells Charizard that if he can beat that one then he'll battle him. Charizard nods and begins flying over to the other Charizard as Ash speaks.
"What's going on how come Charizard's heading for another Charizard?" Ash asks as Liza speaks.
"It seems as though the Red King isn't interested in battling your Charizard as he doesn't see him as a worthy opponent and wants him to battle another Charizard instead." Liza says as Brock speaks.
"So, this means that the Red King is testing Ash's Charizard saying that if he can beat that one then he'll battle him." Brock says with Liza nodding as Misty speaks.
"Is that Charizard one of the more dangerous ones?" Misty asks as Liza speaks.
"Oh no that Charizard that Ash's Charizard if heading for is the gentlest Charizard in the valley." Liza responds as Ash speaks.
"If he's the gentlest then that means that this'll be an easy victory for my Charizard. Also, it's pretty big." Ash says while having a confident look on his face with his Pokémon agreeing with him as Liza speaks.
"Just because a Pokémon's big doesn't always mean that they're powerful. But in this case." Liza says as before Ash can ask what she means he looks forward and sees that his Charizard has landed next to the gentlest Charizard in the valley who's currently sleeping. Ash's Charizard walks a couple steps forward and pokes at the mon causing it to wake up. Once the mon wakes up it lets out a yawn and looks at Ash's Charizard. Ash's Charizard roars requesting a battle, but the other Charizard just stares at him while having an uninterested look on his face. This makes Ash's Charizard annoyed as he then fires a point-blank Flamethrower that consumes the mon. Once the flames disappear the mon has some burn marks on its face then looks over at the Red King who looks at it. The gentle Charizard nods as it stands up, towering over Ash's Charizard which does intimidate Ash's Charizard a little bit, but he stands his ground. The gentle Charizard then turns its back towards Ash's Charizard as Ash speaks.
"Hah! Looks like that Charizard's giving up my Charizard's the victor!" Ash says happily as Liza speaks.
"Ash, if there's one thing that you should know about the Charizard in this valley it's that they never give up." Liza says as back over to the two mons Ash's Charizard continues to glare at the mon as suddenly the other Charizard slaps Ash's Charizard hard across the face sending him flying into a nearby wall. Ash along with the others have surprised looks on their faces as Ash speaks.
"Charizard!" Ash calls in worry as over with Charizard he falls on the ground landing on his stomach and is groaning in pain. Charizard can't believe that one tail slap did so much damage to him then looks back at the other Charizard then at the Red King. The Red King has a look on his face that's asking Ash's Charizard if he's given up which makes Ash's Charizard annoyed as he stands back up and lets out a roar. Ash's Charizard then flies forward heading for the other Charizard that hit him and goes to hit it with Thunder Punch but the other Charizard dodges and is now on Ash's Charizard's right side. The other Charizard then grabs the back of Ash's Charizard's head with its left claws, picking him up then slamming him face first into the ground. The other Charizard then picks up Ash's Charizard and throws him away causing him to crash into another wall and fall back on the ground landing on his stomach. Ash along with his other Pokémon run over to Charizard and speak.
"Charizard are you okay?!" Ash asks as Charizard groans in pain, Liza walks over to Ash and speaks.
"I think it should be obvious now Ash that your Charizard can't take on the other Charizard here. As he doesn't have the strength, speed or power to match the Charizard that live here Ash." Liza says as over with Ash he hates to admit it, but Liza's right. He then looks at Charizard and speaks.
"Charizard, I don't care if you're not as strong, fast or powerful than any other Charizard because you're fine for me and everyone else. Also, we don't need the valley as we can grow stronger our own way." Ash says with Pikachu, Gyarados, Dragonite, Incineroar, Pignite, Chikorita and Sneasel agreeing with him. Charizard looks at them and while he understands what they're saying Charizard doesn't agree with them. Charizard begins to remember the times that he's lost and during those moments he wondered how he could grow stronger. Charizard realizes that if he quits now then he won't get another chance like this again. Charizard manages to stand back up, lets out a mighty roar and fires a Flamethrower high into the air. Charizard then runs past his trainer and teammates and goes to battle the other Charizard again as Ash speaks.
"Charizard what are you doing?!" Ash exclaims as Liza speaks.
"Looks like he still wants to fight you better stop him Ash before he seriously gets hurt." Liza says as over with Ash's Charizard he goes to punch the other Charizard with Thunder Punch, but the mon easily evades and slaps Ash's Charizard hard in the face with its tail again causing damage. Ash's Charizard can feel the wind being knocked out of him but then manages to quickly recover and lets out a roar using Inferno and consuming the other Charizard. As Ash's Charizard is using Inferno the other Charizard manages to easily break through it surprising Ash's Charizard as he then gets punched hard in the face, sending him into the ground creating a dust cloud. When the cloud of dust clears Ash's Charizard is lying on his stomach groaning in pain then looks up and sees the other Charizard going to step on him with its right foot. Ash's Charizard quickly uses Dig and dodges the attack. A couple seconds later Ash's Charizard appears from out of the ground and is a few feet away. He covers his mouth in purple draconic energy and fires out a big Dragon Pulse that consumes the other Charizard creating an explosion leaving a big cloud of smoke as Ash speaks.
"Did that work?" Ash asks as over with his Charizard he looks forward waiting for the smoke to clear as a couple seconds later the other Charizard appears out of the smoke and grabs Ash's Charizard's neck with its left hand. Ash's Charizard begins trying to pull the hand away but isn't able to as the other Charizard then punches Ash's Charizard hard in the face with its right fist and throws him back on the ground causing him to bounce a few feet away as Ash speaks.
"Charizard!" Ash calls in worry as Misty speaks.
"This is supposed to be the gentlest one?!" Misty asks as Brock speaks.
"I'd hate to see the really nasty ones." Brock says as over with Ash's Charizard he stands back up looks at the other Charizard, roars and flies forward going to hit it with Thunder Punch as Ash speaks.
"Charizard stop!" Ash calls and is about to return Charizard but was too late as when his Charizard goes to hit the other Charizard with his right fist the other Charizard easily evades the attack. Ash's Charizard has a surprised look on his face as a couple seconds later the other Charizard slams its right knee hard into Ash's Charizard's stomach. Ash's Charizard coughs in pain as he's sent through the entrance of the valley and begins falling down the stairs until he makes it to the bottom. Ash along with the others get concerned looks on their faces as they run forward and quickly make it to the steps Ash speaks.
"Charizard!" Ash calls in worry as down below the steps Charizard opens his eyes, groans in pain then begins to climb his way up the stairs while having a determined look on his face. A couple seconds later Charizard manages to make it back to the top of the stairs as Liza speaks.
"Looks like your Charizard really isn't ready to train here Ash. You can have him try again once he's had more training." Liza says as she presses a button causing the gate to the valley to close. Ash's Charizard has a surprised look on his face as he runs forward trying to get to the gate before it closes but was too late as it fully closed. After that Charizard roars and begins banging on the gate wanting to be let in. Over with the others they have sad looks on their faces as Misty speaks.
"Poor Charizard." Misty says as Brock speaks.
"Unfortunately compared to the other Charizard's in the valley he's still too weak." Brock says as over with Ash and his Pokémon they continue to watch Charizard banging on the gate as Ash speaks.
"Charizard…." Ash says as over with Charizard he continues to bang on the gate until a couple seconds later the gate opens showcasing Liza, Charla and the other Charizard that Ash's Charizard was battling against. Liza looks at Ash's Charizard and speaks.
"You can stop pounding on the gate Charizard you should go back with Ash and come back once you're stronger." Liza says but Charizard disagrees as he still wants to battle, which causes Liza to let out a sigh. She then looks at Charizard and speaks.
"So, you still want to battle right?" Liza asks with Charizard nodding as Liza continues to speak.
"Well since you're so insistent on battling I guess you can have one with my little Charla." Liza says as Charla steps forward and glares at Charizard with Charizard glaring back at her. The two mons continue to look at each other as when Charizard's about to make his move, Charla quickly grabs Charizard's right arm, spins him around and throws him forward. Charizard goes past the stairs and lands into the lake causing a big splash which surprises Ash along with his friends as Brock speaks.
"You know just how much Charizard hate being in the water!" Brock exclaims as Liza ignores him. Over with Ash's Charizard he comes back to the surface, quickly grabs onto a stone pillar and pulls his tail out of the water making sure that his tail flame is still lit. Charizard lets out a relief sigh as he then looks over at Liza who begins to speak.
"You'll never be a great Charizard if you don't know your own limitations, so I suggest that you stay their and cool off." Liza says as the iron gate begins to close. As the gate is closing the Red King looks at Ash's Charizard and has a disappointed look on his face as he then goes back to sleep. Over with Ash's Charizard he has a sad look on his face with the water running down his eyes looking like tears. Charizard then lets out a sad roar with the others looking at him and having sad looks too. After that many hours pass and its now nighttime the group have come down the stairs and are looking at Charizard who's still in the lake. Misty speaks.
"Charizard's been there since this afternoon." Misty says as Brock speaks.
"Liza told Charizard to stay there and he hasn't moved a muscle ever since." Brock says as over with Ash and his other Pokémon they look at Charizard as Ash speaks.
"Come on Charizard it's time to go." Ash says as Charizard shakes his head saying that he doesn't want to go with Ash nodding as he speaks.
"I know how you feel Charizard when you lose you feel like you're not good enough I've had those thoughts too." Ash says as he begins to think about all of the times he's lost before then looks at Charizard and speaks.
"You're good enough for me Charizard but I know… I know that you want to become stronger me and the others can feel that." Ash says with Pikachu, Gyarados, Dragonite, Incineroar, Pignite, Chikorita, and Sneasel nodding with Charizard looking at them Ash speaks.
"I understand that this is important to you but… At the end of the day, I have to decide." Ash says while having a serious look on his face with Charizard agreeing with him. After that Ash, along with his other Pokémon sit down as Ash speaks.
"For now, we'll try to make it through this night with you together." Ash says with the 7-mons nodding as Charizard looks at them Misty along with Brock and Togetic sit down too and look at Charizard. After that a few hours pass Misty along with Brock and Togetic weren't able to stay up and have now gone asleep. Over with Ash and his Pokémon they're tired too but continue to try staying up along with Charizard. A couple hours later Chikorita along with Sneasel go asleep, after them Pignite and Dragonite go asleep too. The last ones awake are Ash, Pikachu, Gyarados and Incineroar. They're all drowsy and continue to look at Charizard who's getting drowsy too as Ash speaks.
"Stay… Awake… Charizard…." Ash says as after that he along with Pikachu, Gyarados, and Incineroar go asleep too. Over with Charizard he's tired and doesn't know if he can stay awake any longer. Just when he's about to go to sleep he remembers how, even though they were tired, his trainer along with his teammates, Misty, Brock, and Togetic tried staying awake along with him. Charizard then remembers that he's been in more tough situations before this and can definitely stay awake. Charizard then gets a determined look on his face and manages to stop himself from sleeping and his tail flame is burning brighter. Over with Liza and Charla they're peeking through the gate and see Charizard still in the water as Liza speaks.
"His Charizard has a lot of heart Charla." Liza says with Charla nodding. Over with the Red King he looks at Charizard and is surprised/impressed to see that he's still awake as he then smirks. After that a couple more hours pass and it's now morning. The sun begins to rise, causing Ash along with the others to wake up and when they do they see Charizard awake and still in the lake as Misty speaks.
"Charizard's still awake." Misty says as Brock speaks.
"He managed to do it." Brock says as over with Ash he looks at Charizard and speaks.
"So, you've made it through the night." Ash says with the fire lizard nodding as Ash begins to think.
"If Charizard's this serious about getting stronger then I shouldn't get in his way. Which means I should…" Ash says to himself as just when he's about to say something to Charizard everyone hears an explosion. The group have surprised looks on their faces as Misty speaks.
"What was that?!" Misty exclaims as over at the Iron gate they see 3 men with a Garchomp, Tyranitar, and a Metagross. They look at the gate and see that it doesn't have a scratch on it. One of them speaks.
"Darn that didn't put a dent in it." The man says as the other man speaks.
"Let's try again!" The man says with the other two nodding as they speak.
"Use Hyper Beam!" The 3 men call with the three-mons nodding as they all fire out a combined Hyper Beam at the gate creating an explosion. Over with the group they have surprised looks on their faces as Misty speaks.
"Are they Pokémon Hunters?!" Misty asks as Brock speaks.
"Most likely." Brock says as Ash speaks.
"Let's go stop them!" Ash says with the others nodding as just when they're about to run forward Ash's Charizard lets out a roar and flies forward heading for the hunters as Ash speaks.
"Charizard?" Ash says. In the valley Liza along with Charla hear the explosions too as Liza speaks.
"It's Pokémon Hunters they've found this place. Let's go Charla!" Liza says with Charla nodding as when they are about to go stop the 3-men the Red King lets out a roar telling them to stop as Liza looks at him and speaks.
"Why're you telling us to stop?" Liza asks as the mon doesn't respond and looks forward making Liza and Charla look forward too as they see Ash's Charizard heading for the hunters. Outside of the gate the hunters can see that the gate still doesn't have a scratch on it as hunter 1 (I'm now going to refer to them as hunters 1, 2, and 3) speaks.
"That didn't do anything either!" 1 says as 2 speaks.
"Let's go again!" 2 says with the other two nodding as when they're about to call for their commands they hear a roar and see Ash's Charizard coming for them. Ash's Charizard fires out a big Flamethrower at the hunters as 3 speaks.
"Metagross use Protect!" 3 calls with Metagross nodding as it quickly gets in front of the 3 men and summons a protective barrier blocking the attack. Then when the stream of fire goes away the 3 men see Charizard land in front of the gate and is standing protectively while glaring at the 3 mons with the 3-mons glaring back at him 2 speaks.
"It's a Charizard" 2 says as 3 speaks.
"It looks pretty small aren't the ones in the valley supposed to be big?" 3 asks as 1 speaks.
"Well seeing as it's not as big as the ones in the valley means that it's weak which also means that we can easily defeat it." 1 says with 2 men nodding as they look at Ash's Charizard who covers his mouth in fire, roars and fires out a big stream of fire that heads for the 3 mons as 3 speaks.
"Metagross use Psychic to destroy the Flamethrower!" 3 says with Metagross nodding as it fires out a wave of psychic energy that connects with the Flamethrower and easily destroys it. 2 then calls for his command.
"Tyranitar use Stone Edge!" 2 calls. Tyranitar roars and fires out multiple sharp stones at Charizard. Charizard quickly covers his claws in steel energy (using Metal Claw) and begins to slash at the stones easily destroying them. As Charizard's doing that Garchomp appears in front of him as 1 speaks.
"Use Dragon Rush!" 1 calls. Garchomp roars as it covers its body in dragon energy and goes to hit Charizard who manages to quickly move to the left dodging Garchomp's attack. Charizard begins to fly in the air with Garchomp going after him as 3 speaks.
"Metagross use Psychic!" 3 calls with Metagross nodding as it quickly fires the waves of psychic energy that connect with Charizard completely stopping him. Charizard begins trying to break free but can't as he then sees that Garchomp and Tyranitar have their mouths open as 1 and 2 speak.
"Use Hyper Beam!" The 2 men calls with the two-mons nodding as they roar and fire out 2 orange beams that connect with Charizard creating an explosion. Out of the explosion appears Charizard who falls on the ground landing on his stomach. Charizard's groaning in pain as the 3 men look at Charizard 3 speaks.
"Wow what a weak Charizard." 3 says as 2 speaks.
"Yeah, it definitely doesn't belong in the valley." 2 says with the other two nodding and making Charizard angry Ash then speaks.
"Charizard!" Ash calls in worry making the 3 men look as they see the group along with Ash's Pokémon looking at them 3 speaks.
"What're kids doing here?" 3 asks as 1 speaks.
"Not sure but it seems like this Charizard belongs to one of them which would explain why it's so weak." 1 says as 2 speaks.
"Taking a closer look, I see a good variety of Pokémon that we can take." 2 says with the two men nodding as Ash speaks.
"Just try and take them! And we're going to get you back for what you did to my Charizard!" Ash states with the 7-mons next to him nodding as they get into battle stances while Misty and Brock take out their Pokeball's and Misty's Togetic gets in a battle stance too. Just when the group is about to battle the 3 men Ash's Charizard stands back up and lets out a roar telling the others not to interfere as Ash speaks.
"Charizard? Are you saying that you want to do this yourself?" Ash asks with Charizard nodding as Ash looks at him, nods and speaks.
"Okay we'll leave this to you." Ash says with his other Pokémon, Misty, Brock, and Togetic standing down 1 speaks.
"Please you think that a single Charizard can take down our Pokémon? Aren't you underestimating us?" 1 asks as Ash speaks.
"In that case it should be easy for you to beat him then now, wouldn't it?" Ash asks while having a confident smile on his face as 1 speaks.
"Tch arrogant brat." 1 says as he looks at 2 and 3 then speaks.
"Let's get rid of this Charizard and get what we came for." 1 says with the other two nodding as they look at Ash's Charizard the 3 men speak.
"Use Hyper Beam!" The 3 men call with the 3-mons nodding as they all fire out 3 orange beams that go to hit Charizard. Charizard quickly flies in the air and dodges the attack as 3 speaks.
"Now Metagross use Psychic!" 3 calls. Metagross nods as it quickly fires out the waves of psychic energy that connect with Charizard and stops him. Charizard groans in pain from the psychic damage then sees Garchomp heading for him as 1 speaks.
"Use Dragon Rush!" 1 calls. Garchomp roars as it covers its body in dragon energy and goes to hit Charizard. Charizard lets out a loud roar and summons a large Hurricane that collides with Garchomp and consumes it. Garchomp's being spun around in the Hurricane that's also heading for Metagross and Tyranitar as 3 speaks.
"Metagross destroy it with Psychic!" 3 calls with Metagross nodding as it stops using Psychic on Charizard and uses it on the Hurricane instead easily destroying the move and freeing Garchomp. 2 then calls for a command.
"Tyranitar use Hyper Beam!" 2 calls with Tyranitar nodding as it roars and fires out a big orange beam that heads for Charizard who quickly fires out a Flamethrower that collides with the attack creating an explosion. Out of the smoke appears Garchomp as 1 speaks.
"Use Dragon Rush!" 1 calls. Garchomp roars as it covers its body in dragon energy and goes to hit Charizard. Charizard quickly brings up his arms and blocks the attack. The force of the attack pushes Charizard back a few feet away as he then stops himself, covers his mouth in purple draconic energy and fires out a big Dragon Pulse that collides with Garchomp creating an explosion. After that a portal appears above Charizard's head as 3 speaks.
"Use Rockslide!" 3 calls. Before Charizard can dodge Metagross roars and summons multiple large boulders that appear out of the portal and connect with Charizard, sending him crashing back on the ground as Ash speaks.
"Charizard!" Ash calls in worry as when the dust clears it showcases Charizard lying on his stomach groaning in pain with multiple boulders on top of him. Charizard looks forward and sees Garchomp, Tyranitar, and Metagross looking at him as 1 speaks.
"Alright boy's let's end this Charizard!" 1 says with the other 2 nodding as they all speak.
"Use Hyper Beam!" The 3 men say with the 3-mons nodding as they roar and fire out 3 orange beams that combine into one and head for Charizard. Over with the group Brock speaks.
"If that attack lands Charizard's going to be left severely injured!" Brock says while having a concerned look on his face as Misty looks at Ash and speaks.
"Ash what do you want to do?" Misty asks as Ash looks at her and speaks.
"Nothing. I believe in Charizard." Ash says while having a determined look on his face with his Pokémon having the same look. Misty along with Brock and Togetic look at them and nod as they look forward to. Ash then speaks in his mind.
"Come on Charizard." Ash says to himself as over with the fire lizard he sees the beam coming and tries to get out of the way, but the boulders are keeping him pinned down. Not wanting to lose this battle Charizard gets a determined look on his face as he heats up his body and lets out a mighty roar summoning a large Inferno. The attack easily burns away the boulders along with the combined Hyper Beam. The Inferno also makes contact with the 3 mons too, making them all cry out in pain as there's then an explosion. When the explosion clears it showcases the 3-mons groaning in pain as they look over at Charizard who's panting heavily 1 speaks.
"That Inferno scared me for a second there, but it seems as though it has used up all of its energy. Let's get rid of it with another Hyper Beam!" 1 says with the other 2 nodding as when they call for the 3 mons to use Hyper Beam again, they suddenly become consumed in fire. The 3 men have surprised looks on their faces as over with the group Brock speaks.
"They're burned!" Brock says as Misty speaks.
"Charizard's Inferno inflicted the burn status on them!" Misty says happily as Ash smiles and speaks.
"Yeah! Get them Charizard!" Ash cheers along with his other Pokémon with Charizard nodding as he lets out a roar and flies forward heading for Garchomp 1 speaks.
"Don't underestimate us! Garchomp use Dragon Pulse!" 1 calls with Garchomp nodding as when it goes to use it Charizard speeds up, covers his left claws in green dragon energy and slams them hard into Garchomp's face. Garchomp groans in pain and is then sent crashing on the ground a few feet away as 1 speaks.
"Garchomp!" 1 calls as when the dust clears it showcases Garchomp lying on its back knocked out. The 3 men have surprised looks on their faces as 2 speaks.
"Tyranitar use Stone Edge!" 2 calls. Tyranitar roars and fires out multiple sharp stones at Charizard. Charizard sees the sharps stones coming and covers his claws and wings in steel energy. Charizard flies forward, easily destroys them and slashes Tyranitar hard across the face with his right claws causing super effective damage to the mon. Charizard isn't done yet as he grabs Tyranitar's left arm and lifts it high into the air. Once Charizard gets high enough he begins to spin, making Tyranitar dizzy then throws the mon as hard as he can back on the ground creating an explosion as 2 speaks.
"Tyranitar!" 2 calls as when the smoke clears it showcases Tyranitar laying on its stomach knocked out. 2 has a surprised look on his face as 3 speaks.
"Metagross grab Charizard with Psychic!" 3 calls with Metagross nodding as it fires the waves of psychic energy to grab Charizard. Charizard sees the waves of psychic energy coming and manages to dodge them. Charizard quickly descends and lands back on the ground. Once Charizard lands the flame on his tail begins to burn hotter as Charizard covers his mouth in fire, roars and fires out a big blast of fire at Metagross. Brock then speaks.
"That's Fire Blast!" Brock says as Ash smiles and speaks.
"Great Charizard!" Ash cheers along with his other Pokémon as 3 speaks.
"That's not going to work! Metagross use Protect!' 3 calls. Metagross nods as when it goes to use Protect it stops as it becomes consumed in fire making it cry out in pain. 3 has a surprised look on his face, sees the Fire Blast getting closer and speaks.
"Metagross dodge!" 3 calls as Ash speaks.
"Charizard don't let it get away!" Ash calls. Charizard roars as he fires out a big Flamethrower that collides with the Fire Blast making it bigger and faster as it then collides with Metagross creating an explosion along with a strong gust of wind as 3 speaks.
"Metagross!" 3 calls as when the smoke clears its showcases Metagross lying on its stomach knocked out. Charizard roars in victory as Ash speaks.
"HE DID IT!" Ash lets out a loud cheer with his Pokémon, Misty, Brock and Togetic cheering too. Over with Liza and Charla they have surprised looks on their faces as Liza speaks.
"Whoa his Charizard managed to beat all of them." Liza says with Charla nodding. We now come over to the Red King who's looking at Ash's Charizard and has a smile on his face. We now come over to the 3 men who have returned their Pokémon back to their Pokeball's 1 speaks.
"Let's get out of here!" 1 says with the other 2 nodding as they begin to run away Misty speaks.
"They're getting away!" Misty exclaims and just when she along with Ash and Brock are about to make their move they hear a voice.
"Do it Charla!" the voice says as Charla instantly lands in front of the 3 men causing them to stop as they look at Charla who has an angry look on her face. The 3 men have scared looks on their faces as suddenly a big rope ties around them and causes them to fall on the ground. They then look behind and see Liza as she speaks.
"You 3 aren't going anywhere and Officer Jenny is on her way right now." Liza says surprising the 3 men as they give up causing everyone to smile. 10 minutes later Officer Jenny came, apprehended the 3 men and begins taking them to prison. Once they're gone, we see Ash along with his other Pokémon next to Charizard as Ash speaks.
"Congratulations on not only beating those hunters but also learning Fire Blast Charizard! I knew you could do it!" Ash says with his other Pokémon congratulating the fire lizard too making Charizard smile. Off to the side Misty, Brock and Togetic smile too as Liza along with Charla begin walking over to Ash and his Pokémon. Once they get close enough Liza looks at Ash's Charizard and speaks.
"Charizard you can now train with us if you want." Liza says surprising Charizard along with the others as Ash looks at Liza and speaks.
"Wait now Charizard can train here because he beat those guys?" Ash asks as Liza speaks.
"Nope anyone could've beaten those 3." Liza responds as Ash speaks.
"Then why'd you suddenly change your mind?" Ash asks as Liza speaks.
"Because your Charizard has proven to not only me but the other Charizard in the valley that he wants to be great." Liza responds as she opens the iron gate showcasing the other Charizard's as the Red King roars causing the other Charizard and Charla to roar too agreeing with Liza. Ash's Charizard is happy that the other Charizard have finally recognized his strength and smiles. Over with Ash he looks at the other Charizard's then looks at his and speaks.
"In that case Charizard you should stay here." Ash says surprising Charizard along with his Pokémon, Misty, Brock and Togetic as Misty speaks.
"Ash, do you know what you're saying?" Misty asks as Brock speaks.
"Yeah, Ash are you sure about this?" Brock asks as Ash looks at them and speaks.
"Honestly yes because while I would want to keep Charizard with me I feel as though him staying here will help make him stronger. So, while it's sad I believe it's for the best and don't you agree Charizard?" Ash asks as Charizard thinks for a bit and agrees as well with Misty and Brock nodding. Ash then pulls out Charizard's Pokeball, hands it to Liza and speaks.
"Please take good care of Charizard from now on" Ash asks with Liza nodding as she speaks.
"Don't worry Ash I'll make sure Charizard's well taken care for and turn him into the strongest Charizard in the world." Liza says with Ash nodding as Liza then pulls out a piece of paper and speaks.
"Also, here's my phone number for whenever you need to call me to either check in on Charizard or if you need to use him in a battle." Liza says with Ash nodding as he speaks.
"Thank you" Ash says with Liza nodding as Ash then puts Liza's number into his Pokegear with Brock and Misty doing the same. Ash then looks at his Pokémon and speaks.
"Okay guys give Charizard one last goodbye." Ash says with the 7-mons nodding as they go over to Charizard. For Chikorita and Sneasel even though they didn't know Charizard for long they are sad to see him go. Dragonite along with Pignite have tears in their eyes as they don't want Charizard to go because they want to learn more from him. Charizard tells them that currently he has nothing more to teach them and tells them to keep training because the next time they see each other he'll be a lot stronger and teach them more things. This makes Dragonite and Pignite happy as they tell Charizard they'll keep growing stronger and make him proud. The two mons then give Charizard a hug with tears coming out of their eyes with Charizard hugging them back.
The next ones to say goodbye are Gyarados and Incineroar. Incineroar's pretty annoyed that Charizard's leaving since they never got to settle the score to see who's stronger between them but understands why he's staying. Gyarados's is sad that Charizard's leaving as the two of them have been rivals for a very long time and won't be able to train with each other again for a long time. Charizard tells the two mons that he's sad that he won't be able to train with them again for a long time either but lets them know that their rivalry with each other isn't over yet as the next time they see Charizard he'll be a lot stronger and hopes the two of them don't fall behind. This makes Gyarados and Incineroar smile as they tell Charizard that the next time they meet they'll be a lot stronger than him. This makes Charizard smile as he gives them both a fist bump (Charizard bumps Gyarados's tail). Charizard also tells Incineroar that he along with Arcanine are now the leaders of the fire types at the lab and tells him to keep training them with Incineroar nodding.
Charizard then looks over at Pikachu who's also sad that Charizard's leaving but understands that this is what Charizard wants. Pikachu tells Charizard to keep growing stronger with Charizard nodding as he tells Pikachu to keep looking after their trainer and make sure that he doesn't get himself into too much trouble with Pikachu nodding. After that the 7-mons go back over to Ash's side as Misty and Brock bring out their Pokémon to say goodbye to Charizard too with the fire lizard saying goodbye to them as well. Misty along with Brock then return their Pokémon (other than Togetic) and say their goodbyes to the fire lizard too. Once Misty and Brock walk away the last one to say goodbye to Charizard is Ash. Ash looks at Charizard with the fire lizard looking at him as Ash speaks.
"Well, Charizard this is it we've been on a long journey together, but this is where we part ways." Ash says with Charizard nodding as Ash continues to speak.
"But this isn't goodbye forever as we'll see each other again one day and when that day comes me along with everyone else will be a lot stronger." Ash says with Charizard nodding as he tells Ash that he'll be a lot stronger too to help Ash with his dream. Ash looks at Charizard and smiles. As Ash is looking at Charizard he can feel tears starting to well up from his eyes as he quickly turns his back away from Charizard, puts his head down and speaks.
"Now's not the time to get all sad you have a lot to learn. They're waiting." Ash says as he points over to the other Charizard's in the valley who're roaring for Charizard to join them. Charizard looks at them then back at Ash who's shaking. Charizard can see that this is hard for Ash and nods. After that Ash begins to run away, surprising his Pokémon along with Misty, Brock, and Togetic as they speak.
"Ash!" Misty and Brock exclaim as they along with Togetic and Ash's Pokémon begin running after him. Pikachu then comes to a stop as he looks at Charizard with Charizard looking back at him. Charizard smiles and gives Pikachu a thumbs up with Pikachu smiling and giving him a thumbs up too as he then begins running after Ash. Over with Ash as he's running, he begins to remember his time with Charizard, starting with the day he met him when he was a Charmander, when Charmander evolved into Charmeleon after defeating Damian then becoming Ash's Pokémon after. Ash begins to remember all of the battles/training that Ash did with Charmeleon until he eventually fully evolved into a Charizard during the battle against the Aerodactyl on Cinnabar Island. Ash then remembers all of the battles and training he did with Charizard along with the sad and happy moments too. He continues to remember until it reaches this moment. We come out of Ash's mind and see him continue to run as he speaks.
"I don't want to leave you I want you to stay but I know this is for the best. Train hard Charizard we'll meet again someday. Goodbye old friend. Don't forget me." Ash says to himself as we come out of his mind and see tears coming down his face. Over with Charizard he looks at Ash along with the others running as he lets out a roar and fires out a large Flamethrower high in the air saying goodbye. Even though they want to look back Ash along with his Pokémon continue to look forward because if they look back, they fear as though their minds will change (Dragonite along with Pignite have tears running down their faces). Misty along with Brock, and Togetic continue to look forward too trying their best not to look back, we see the group continue to run forward as the chapter comes to an end.
Thank you for reading if you've made it this far. This was my take on the "Charizard's Burning Ambitions" episode from the anime. Tell me how did you guys like it? Just like in the anime Ash has left Charizard in the valley to train. The reason I decided to leave Charizard here is because if you guys could tell I've been having Charizard lose a lot of his battles recently making him feel as though he's not strong enough. So, it felt best to leave Charizard in the valley to train as now he'll train with his own kind to get stronger, which will also make Ash along with his other Pokémon to continue to train too so that they don't fall far behind.
Were you guys surprised that Zard 2, who's now called the Red King returned? During the Johto anime I always felt like the clone Charizard from the 1st Mewtwo movie should've been in the valley as well to train with Charizard. Now that Charizard has met him again it gives him two goals of not only becoming the strongest Charizard in the world but to also beat/surpass the Red King one day.
Also just like with the anime this isn't going to be the last time we see Charizard as he'll still make some appearances and also join Ash in battles where he needs him. He's just going to be staying in the Charicific Valley for the time being until he feels as though his training is complete.
Next chapter will come out next week and it'll be my take on the "Good 'Quil Hunting" episode from the anime where the gang hear about wild Cyndaquil in the forest and also encounter the Mask Marauder who's there to get rid of them and take the Cyndaquil. I hope you all look forward to it.
