Summary
Natsuki Subaru the hero of lugunica the slayer of the white whale and great hare
saving water gate city from the attack of the witch cult is arrested over suspicions
of him being the Sin Archbishop bishop of pride.
Chapter 5 – Thank you for the meal
Pride sat silently in his cell for hours.
Pride recalled all his memories of that day/loop to find out what the divergence point
was.
"Thank you for the meal -Tsyu"
An ominous voice echoed through the smog and rubble in the water gate city center.
"GLUTTONYY" Subaru screamed.
"You call yourself an archbishop, right?
"Then face me head on." Subaru screamed again as he used his wip to clear some of the
smog and debris out of his sight for a clear view.
Slowly the smog cleared out.
Subaru looked around for any civilians who got caught in the chaos.
Just as he was scanning, he saw Emilia running towards him.
"Emilia-tan, Are you alright?"
Subaru asked with concern in his eyes
"Emilia-tan?" Emilia confused with the sudden usage of a nickname.
"I am sorry, Do I know you ?" Emilia replied with confusion.
Emilia just recently had the seal from her memories removed as her contacted
spirit/father figure broke it leaving her with her memories being slowly flooding back to
her.
"No..N..o" Subaru panicked at her response
Memories started flooding back in his mind of his first ever loop.
Memories of when Subaru mistook Emilia for Satella.
"I am sorry, I recently started remembering my past so please don't hate me, I may not
remember you now, but I promise I will try hard" Emilia replied trying to calm Subaru down
but to no avail.
"You are joking right?"
"This must be a joke cause if it is, it's a damn "good joke" come on Emilia, I didn't know you
had such a good humor" Subaru spoke as he stepped closer.
"El Minya!"
Subaru stops on his track not moving an inch further.
A huge Minya crystal stabs straight in front of him as sign to not proceed further.
"Em…emil…Emilia" Subaru speaks in a confused and shocked tone.
"Stay away from betty's contractor, I suppose" A drill haired Loli spirit spoke up.
"Be..ako?" Subaru confused and shocked he was in too much pain to grasp his situation.
He tried to stand up.
"Beako, I'm sorry I won't make you angry anymore with my jokes so please stop being angry"
Subaru spoke but he knew this was no joke.
He tried to crawl closer to both Emilia and Beatrice.
"PRINCESS" A Loud scream called out.
A blonde tiger boy jumps in between and punches the ground bellow Subaru.
Due to the sheer raw power of the punch the ground around Subaru shakes as he loses his
balance and falls on his back creating a further distance between them.
"DON'CHA DARE TOUCH MA' PRINCESS" He spoke in rage glaring daggers through his eyes.
"EMILLIA-SAMA" x 3
A merchant in green holding his cap so it doesn't fly away as he runs towards Emilia and
the group in hurry.
A pink haired maid with one eye covered by her bangs follows as well.
A red-haired knight tall and well built ran faster than everyone else and jumps in front to
serve as Emilias defense.
"Reinhard, Otto, Ram" Subaru calls for everyone in hopes someone will come to his
defenses.
"Emilia-sama are you alright?" the pink haired maid asked.
"Hmph! Bettys contractor is not that fragile I suppose" The Loli spirit spoke.
"Ram, I know you hate me but please help me make them understand"
"I am Subaru"
Subaru tries his best to not show his desperation.
"Huh! Ram doesn't know who this Subaru person is, even if she does, remembering such
meaningless stranger would be a waste of her headspace" Ram spoke mocking Subaru.
"Why don't you remember me?'
"Why"
Subaru starts to breakdown.
"Emilia-sama, stay back" Reinhard urges Emilia to stay in cover.
Subarus remembers a very similar situation.
"Subaru"
"Who is Rem?" Emilia asks in confusion why riding in the ground dragon carriage with
Subaru.
"Gluttony" Subaru murmurs.
Ram get into her battle stance as she sees the Subaru gets silent suddenly.

Subaru screams while holding his head with tears flowing from his eyes.
"Beatrice" Subaru called out.
Don't you remember me at all, All the fun times we had, all the memories we made
together.
"You choose me BEAKO!" Subaru spoke
"How dare you force a one-sided contract on to a great spirit"
"Betty doesn't need anyone else as long as see has her amazing contractor by her side, I
suppose" Beatrice spoke threatening Subaru to take back his words.
"Huh, such worthless existence, to think that a pathetic excuse of a man would be able to form
a contract with the great spirit" Ram cracks a laugh at Subarus situation.
"Emilia-tan, try to remember, I am your knight Natsuki Subaru" Subaru pleaded.
"OI STOP TH' CRAP MA AMAZIN SELF HAD AND WILL BE THE STRONGEST KNIGHT FOR
PRINCESS"
The Blonde tiger boy yelled at Subaru.
"Garfiel, we are brothers"
"You call me Captain all the time, please try to remember?" Subaru spoke to Garfiel expecting
his brother to remember him.
"MA' AMAZIN SELF? CALL YA CAP'N ?, HOW DO YA EVE'N THINK MA AMAZIN SELF WOULD
BOW TO YA" Garfiel yelled as he was losing his temper.
"Hold it Garf!" A pink haired maid spoke cutting of garfiel's yelling.
"RAM!" Subaru looked at Ram in a sudden influx of hope.
Subaru saw a chance that Ram would remember him.
His nee-sama would be able to remember him.
"Ram wants to confirm how do you know so much about our camp?"
"Are you a spy?"
"Which camp sent you?"
Ram destroyed the last hope Subaru had as she started interrogating him.
"I am butler under the Margrave manor"
"Remember me Ram"' Subaru claimed as he still tried to help his lost case.
"Huh!"
"Ram has never heard of such a butler ever under Margrave manor during her years of service"
Ram huffed as she was satisfied with her judgement.
"Ram try to remember you are always at my neck whenever I comment on Ros-chi's obsession
with his clown mak-"
A Sudden gust of wind sharp as a blade blew past his cheeks.
Subaru fell a sudden itch on his cheek, He took his hand and noticed he was bleeding.
His eyes widened there was only one person with wind magic so powerful and accurate.
"Insulting Roswaal-sama would have you pay a heavy price"
"I won't let you spout anymore nonsense, keep your delusions to yourself and go die" Ram the
pink haired maid spoke out while glaring at Subaru.
Ram was more shocked about the amount of information Subaru carried even though he
was a stranger.
She wanted to know more about how he got so much information before she kills him.
But she had to shut him up or he would get himself killed with that loudmouth of his.
"Emilia-tan try to remember; I helped you to form the alliance with Crusch camp in order to
defeat the white whale"
"Beako! I saved you form the burning mansion, You and me together defeated the great hare"
Subaru on his knees somehow someway or the other he just wants to prove who he really
is.
He never cared about his achievements till date nor does still care, if only he could show
his worth and loyalty through his deeds.
It was to repay the kindness the half-elf showed him on his first day at Lugunica.
"How pathetic claiming Emilia-sama's achievements as your own, how delusional can you be?"
Otto spoke out.
"No, that's not true believe me" Subaru crawled back a little as he had no other way to prove
his words.
"ENOUGH!"
Emilia yelled
"Emil-"
"SHUT UP!"
Subaru tried to understand what caused Emilia's sudden yell but was cut off by Her.
"I was worried that you might be a civilian that got into this mess"
"But even so I won't take insults towards my camp members lightly" Emilia glared at Subaru.
"No, these are all truth believe me" Subaru pleaded once more.
Otto, Ram and Garfield were all ready to come forward to Emilia's defense in case
something goes wrong they were full on glaring at the raven-haired boy.
"Truth, you say?" Emilia asked Subaru.
"Prove me, show me something that proves everything you said is true?" Emilia pushes Subaru
for answers.
"Well…I um" Subaru struggled to come up with a reasonable reply.
"Nothing as I thought" Emilia's lets out a sigh.
"I understand you may see me as the witch but don't worry I will save you" Emilia says to
Subaru.
Emilia was herself confused about who this boy was and how did he know so much about
her camp.
"I have the proof" Subaru replied
Everyone's face painted with shock.
"Emilia-T-"
"No"
"Emilia, I can return b-"
*Time Stopped*
The gradually decreased, Subarus vision faded into darkness.
His eyes closed shut but he could see two shadow claws approaching him.
The touch of the hand was so cold he felt like he was having frost bites.
The hands caressed his heart elegantly, the cold touch sending shivers to his body served
as a warning.
*Time moved again*
Subaru clenched his chest.
"The witches smell"
"This boy reeks from the smell of miasma" The drill haired Loli spoke up in anger.
Everyone's face went pale.
"The smell is on par with the ones of the archbishops"
"The archbishop of pride, I suppose" Beatrice explained the rest of the group.
"No, you're getting it wrong" Subaru knew he out of desperation took the wrong move.
"Al Fula"
"El Minya"
Ram and Beatrice threw spells at him without a second thought.
Garfiel jumped towards Subaru with his right hand tuned into a huge tiger paw.
Subaru accepted his failed loop and was ready to end it.
He waited,
Waited..
Waited but nothing came.
"Huh?"
"Nothings happening?" Subaru thought to himself.
"Reinhard what's the meaning of this?" Emilia asked in confusion.
Subaru looked up as he was shielded by Reinhard, he nullified both Ram and Beatrice
attacks and blocked Garfiel with right hand.
"Emilia-sama, I request you to think carefully."
"Instead of killing him it's better to take him as a prisoner and let the sage council be the judge"
Reinhardt spoke as he stood between Emilias camp and Subaru
"YA DARE BLCK' MA AMAZIN SELF" Garfiel threatened Reinhard.
"He is correct no one knows what's this new archbishop is capable of we need to end it right
here before it grows as a threat" Otto gave his verdict.
"HELL YA BROTTO" Garfiel rejoiced at his bro coming to his aid.
"Emilia-sama, I fully understand the risk I might be taking but you yourself are in confusion and
anxious about the outcome."
"Emilias-sama, he knows more about our camp than its made public it's better to interrogate
him for possible spy's in our camp" Ram spoke as she gave an unserious glare towards otto.
"Why is it always me" Otto groaned.
"Very well then, I hope Great spirit-sama is also on the same terms" Rienhard looked up at the
drilled haired Loli.
"It's ok I suppose"
"Just keep this filthy witch worshipper aways from my amazing contractor" Beatrice spoke
with a pout on her face
Rienhard turned around to face Subaru.
"SIN ARCHBISHOP OF PRIDE, NATSUKI SUBARU"
"You are arrested for genocide, arson and murder"
"Anything you say or do, will be used up against you in the royale court"
Subaru was panicking.
Subaru threw some debris towards Reinhardt and tried to make a run for it.
"El Fula" The pink haired maid threw a wind blade towards the fleeing boy.
As Subaru somehow managed to escape the attack he couldn't make it far due to his
injured foot.
Subaru hid behind the debris of a broke wall while grasping for breath.
He ran as fast as he could, imagining Reinhardt as the superhuman he perceives him to be
chasing after him.
He peeked through the wall cracks.
He saw no one around and decided to make an escape for it.
Subaru was enraged and frustrated how the tides of the battle changed in a single attack
returned by the witch cult.
Subaru looked around his eyes were itching due to all the dust and smoke.
He walked
And walked…
Something hit his foot.
Subaru looked down.
His face went pale, He jumped back tripping over a rock and crawled out of the smoke.
BODIES
BLOOD
DEAD
ROT WAS IN THE AIR
He Vomited on spot and ran the other direction.
Subaru walked for a while as he saw a half-destroyed house as it was somehow barely
saved from the attack.
He dusted the bed and washed his face with some water he carried in his water pouch.
He moved out to refill it but felt tired as he walked, he couldn't understand the direction
he was heading.
He reached the fountain.
Pleasant memories of his first day visiting water gate city flashed before him as tears find
their way through his eyes.
He remembered his live singing duet with Liliana.
"Eureka!"
"Listen to this!"
"Doowawa! The difference in years of love"
He remembered the beautiful song as His eyes felt tired and tired.
AND TIRED.
Subaru fainted and fell inside the fountain face first.
As if every single drop of energy was sucked out him in an instant.
He somehow tried to crawl out of the fountain and tried to open his eyes with blurry vision
and heavy eye lids, He saw, as his face went pale.
A red head Knight in white royale uniform on both of his sides stood two other knights on
the left a purple haired man with golden iris and on the right a feminine looking demi-
human cat.
All three of them had different emotions while looking down on Subaru.
Reinhardt had his hand reaching out towards Subaru as he dealt with the final spell.
Subaru lost consciousness.
NATSUKI SUBARU FAINTED OF MANA EXHAUTION.
