"I can't believe I have a library card and I can get books, thanks daddy." Shocket said.
Rocket chuckled as he, Groot and Shocket left the library with Groot and Rocket having bags of books, plus Rocket had gotten Shocket some books for storytime to relax her especially bedtime. "Yep honey which is awesome honey." Rocket told her. He was surprised that she hadn't talked about Linda guessing she thought Linda was busy doing hero stuff so decided not to bother her making Groot wonder what was on his mind.
"I'll tell you later buddy. It's good seeing her happy, not anxious." Rocket said to him as they took the subway back to the house in Brooklyn making himself coffee as Groot was helping him seeing Shocket texting Linda hoping she wasn't busy doing hero stuff, not wanting to bother her taking deep-breaths which Rocket got.
"I am Groot." Groot said making Shocket wonder what was wrong. "Ohhhh just thinking about Linda. She's special to me like you are to my pops. She must be doing hero stuff." Shocket told him seeing he was playing a video game seeing it was a fighting game and a two-layer one grabbing a controller making Groot smile along with Rocket. He was happy that she and Groot were hanging out, becoming friends guessing he was distracting Shocket from worrying about Linda so could talk about it when Shocket took an nap plus they'd have a lil storytime then.
"Yeah this is awesome." Shocket yelled getting riled up. "Ohhhh vey she's going to be nuts." Rocket said fixing lunch
After this, Shocket wanted to keep playing but Rocket heard her yawning despite protesting she wasn't tired which Rocket debated until he said about storytime which made her surrender and follow him upstairs to her room as she sat on his lap as he was reading to her, doing vouces making her giggle which was music to his furry ears but afterwards was tucking her and her Rocket stuffie into bed kissing her furry head leaving her room.
"I am Groot." Groot asked him. "Yep she's asleep but thanks." Rocket told him.
"I am Groot." Groot asked him confused.
"She worries about Linda so you hanging out with her is helping her." Rocket said.
He was surprised seeing Linda there after training with the Fantastic Four but had been worried asShocket hadn't texted her so thought something was wrong making Rocket smile. "She's taking a nap after a fun morning at the New York Public Library plus had storytime to get her to nap." Rocket told her.
"That's good and and surprised Groot is here with you. I bet Shocket flipped out seeing him." Linda said to him.
"That's good and Groot introduced himself in a calming way. Now they're buds." Rocket told her.
"Linda you're here. What're you doing here." Shocket said hugging Linda.
"You didn't text me so after training, I wented to check on you." Linda said.
It was afternoon and Shocket had woken up from her nap feeling better, so they were havibg snacks making Shocket excited having Rice Krispie squares and Tang smirking telling Linda about getting her library card and all the books making Linda smile at this as Rocket had told her about checking out books for Shocket for storytime to help her relax or sleep holding Shocket's paw making them blush which Rocket found adorable. "I didn't want to bug you if you were doing hero stuff." Shocket told her.
"You could never bother me, Shocket as yeah I was training, but I always have time for you." Linda told her
