Taking what Lisa said all in herself, Lori realized that the smartest sister is right. Any moron can put two and two together, and realize her secret identity if they figure out the scratch she made on her forehead. Deep down, Lori was thinking that she shouldn't have done that in the first place. She could have created a wave of fire against Solar Flare instead.

pulling out a small makeup mirror, Lori can see that the mark was a little red like a scrape. A little noticeable but easy to feel. "So what can i do to hide it?"

"Maybe fight crime wearing a hat?" said Lynn.

"No, that will literally make me look stupid." Lori nodded her head sideways over and over again. "Unless i was at a halloween party or a costume party."

"Lisa i don't think anyone can find out Lori's identity because of her bruise." Lincoln said. "In a far distance, you can't even see it and it's not even infected"

"yeah Lincoln's right. Not that noticeable. You can say that Lori accidentally fell flat on her face after tripping on some rail or a sidewalk." Luna offered some help

"Or how about this," Lynn stepped up next. "You can say that I needed her as a football dummy and got a concussion after i tackled her like a runaway train."

"That could work." said Lisa. "And it can just take one person to look into Lori's face fir a while if going out for lunch or dinner, or sitting in the same bench together with her. After all, Lori does not wear a mask to cover her eyes or face when in her superhero persona."

"Ooh, right. Good point." said Lori. "But i think i will go with what Lynn suggested: her tackling me during a football practice with her."

"Yes!" Lynn exclaimed in triumph.

Getting a text from her phone, Lori looked at it and had a look of surprise on her face. "Ooh, i literally almost forgot. I was supposed to meet Dana and Becky at the mall this afternoon at the food court."

"Remember what you will say to them if they ask about the mark." Lynn tapped at her forehead.

"Right."

At the Mall

Lori was a little nervous about coming to meet her friends at the mall in her normal clothes. Nevertheless, she didn't want to break her friends' promise. Some people looked at Lori with the white bandage on her forehead, but minded their own business as they walked away. At least some people were decent not to stare at other people if they had anything out of the ordinary. She finally found her female friends at the food court, waiting for their friend.

"Hey guys!" Lori called out to them, making them both look and smile at their friend who finally showed up. "Sorry i'm late."

"Hi Lori!" said Becky

"What happened to your head?" asked Dana, looking concerned about her friends' well-being

"Oh this?" Lori pointed at her forehead as she sat down with them in the booth. "Ask my sister Lynn. You know her and sports. She's literally passionate about it! Ha!"

"Ah. What did she do?" asked Becky

"She strong-armed me to be her football sparing partner. She let her pride and competitive spirit get the best of her... as usual, and tackled me and gave me this." and she pretended to sound irritated with Lynn's imaginary shennanigan. "You know how Lynn is with sports."

"Like how Luna is passionate with her music?" Asked Dana curiously.

"Exactly!"

"Well i hope your head feels better soon." Becky said

"Ah just a mild concussion. Nothing too serious Becky. I have suffered injuries way worse than this one here."

"with a big family like that one, i wouldn't be surprised." Dana took a sip of her tea. "We always wonder how you survive a family like that,"

"Dana, it's literally a never-ending battle. But how, at least it's not like the Fox family,"

"Oh heck no." Becky nodded her head. "We've babysat many kids before, but those quintuplets are a total nightmare!"

"I feel bad for Mr and Mrs Fox." Dana admitted. "Not as numerous as your family but still. At least your siblings never locked anyone out of the house or throw your phone down the toilet."

"Hahaha! True. My family is way better than the Fox quintuplets. Excuse me, i need to order some Chinese for myself." As Lori waited in line to order her food, she thought of how well this is going between her and her two female friends. Perhaps this lie is working for her after all. When she ordered her food and came back to the booth, Lori said: "so very crazy at the convention a little while ago."

"Ugh! I know. Me and Becky were at the convention when those supervillains showed up to ruin everything." Dana pouted

"But at least the heroes saved the day again." Becky smirked

"Tell me about it." Lori rolled her eyes. "I wish j was there to see it."

"Yeah it was amazing." Said Becky with enthusiasm. "It was so much fun."

"Between you and me Lori," Dana pointed. "I think Laser Boy is so cute."

"Oh. Really." Lori had an uncomfortable look on her face. "You realize he's a little tol young right?"

"Yeah, yeah, not like a romantic cute. Just cute in general." Dana clarrified. "Got a few good pictured with him and the other heroes." She showed her cohorts the time at the convention along with Becky.

"I wish i had a dog like Ghost Dog." Becky admitted. "Or my corgi can talk in general."

"Or my flat-coated retriever can talk." Lori's female cohort chuckled

"A flat-coated retriever?" Asked Lori. "She never heard of a dog lik that one before.

"Yeah, it's like a golden retriever but it's a black coat instead of a yellow or golden coat."

"Wow. Do you have pictures of her?"

"It's a boy." Dana corrected. "But sure." Then she pulled our pictures of her dog. Both Lori and Becky thought of how adorable he looked

"Oh my gosh, he is so adorable!" Lori said with her hands on her cheeks

"Right? He is like a long-haired labrador retriever." Becky added. "So Void is also really cute. Would like to know what he looks like without his mask."

"Well we all know that it's not a good idea for a superhero to reveal his and or her identity to random people."

"Oh we know." Dana said. "We all know the reason why." she took another sip of her tea. "You want to know something, Lori?"

"What's that, Dana?"

"I honestly wish Laser Boy was around your age." she began daydreaming. "I honestly think he's pretty cute." Those words made Lori weirded out. Dana has a crush on Lincoln? No, she said that she wished Laser Boy was older so she can go on a date with him. And on top of that, she doesn't know Lincoln's secret identity.

Besides, it was just a mere baby crush from Dana. And it was rather adorable of one of her female friends to have. "Keep dreaming, Dana." Lori smirked, making her friend giggle.

"I know, it's just a dream." Dana rolled her eyes.

"Speaking of dreams, i had one where my house was infested with rattlesnakes." Becky pointed with a look of horror. Her cohorts looked at her in horror. "I know! My floors, my bedroom, my attic, my basement, heck! Even my backyard was filled with them."

"Were you bitten?" asked Dana

"No, luckily. But my parents were bitten by some."

"Oh the horror!" Lori exclaimed. "Literally a horrific nightmare."

"Yeah i hope that doesn't happy in real life." Becky had a shiver go down her spine just thinking about her nightmare from last night. "Maybe i ate a bad piece of lettuce in my salad?"
