9/28/2656- Union Senate Approves Large Military Expansion Bill

"Today, the Union Senate had a bill for significant increases in military expansion brought before it by the president, claiming that the buildup was necessary to deal with the Vorn threat and replace losses. The Senate passed the bill with a 60-0 complete landslide. The bill called for the creation of 10 new Infantry Divisions and 5 more Armored Divisions alongside the construction or purchase of 5 heavy cruisers, 8 light cruisers, and 80 smaller vessels, mostly destroyers and frigates. It also calls for construction of the dreadnought Glorious Union to be expedited through the infusion of a large amount of money into its construction."
