10/25/2656- Work Begins On New Antimatter Production Facility For Hierarchy Navy

"Today, a dozen ships carrying workers, materials, and equipment arrived in the Interus System, the first of many convoys soon to come for the construction of the Interus Antimatter Foundry, a new facility ordered for the Hierarchy Navy in order to meet its increased demand for antimatter domestically. In the last few years, antimatter use by the Hierarchy Navy has increased dramatically as the Navy engages in more patrols and anti-piracy operations in the face of greater instability across Council Space. This increase far outstripped production, forcing the Navy to draw from existing stockpiles and recently purchase antimatter from other nations in order to continue operations. The Interus Foundry were and half a dozen similar facilities ordered several months ago in order to increase antimatter production within the Hierarchy, removing the potentially dangerous political threat of the Navy's dependency on foreign antimatter from the Asari Republics, Salarian Union, and most concerningly the Batarian Hegemony. The facility is expected to be finished in three years, being the fourth facility to be finished if no delays occur with its or the other facilities' constructions."
