A/N: The start of the season is here!
Like Multiverse Edition, this story takes place after most of my other fics, even if they're unfinished(I've started back working on those by the way, not sure when the next chapters for those will be released but know that I am working on them if you're someone looking forward to reading more of those stories). This means that some characters may have met before this story takes place.
Also, for those unfamiliar with Eyeshield 21, the VAs for the characters featured here are the following from the official dub:
1. Sena Kobayakawa/Eyeshield 21: Yuri Lowenthal
2. Yoichi Hiruma: Derek Stephen Prince
3. Ryokan Kurita: Roger Craig Smith
4. Mamori Anezaki: Kate Higgins
5. Taro 'Monta' Raimon: No official VA as the dub didn't get that far to introduce him yet. If you have any headcanon VA suggestions based on his personality here you're welcome to give any.
Good luck finding footage to hear how most of them sound though. It was on Toonami Jetstream before it got axed after 5 episodes so it's lost media. It was on archive . org before it was taken down again, making it once again lost media. Can't 100 percent confirm the reason why but when Jetstream was gone, so was this as it was the only way for you to watch it at the time.
Kurita and Hiruma are the only two I can honestly say I like the sub voices more as it fits their personalities better. The rest are interchangeable. Also, compared to the sub, Hiruma's guns were apparently censored or cut a lot in the dub for the TV-Y7 rating. Not sure if it's One Piece 4kids levels of censorship since I only watched one episode of the dub before it was gone again.
Contestant entrance order was also randomized like last time to make the interactions more interesting for me to write based off that order.
Other notes:
1. This Paul is after his return in Journeys.
2. Rally, May, and Becky are a composite of their Manga and Anime continuities. There were some things that I liked in the anime that I wished the manga touched on. Most of them were little things but they definitely showed off some things with the characters' personalities that I haven't seen in the manga so far.
3. Time gap plays a factor for some but not all characters here since some share the same universe and some don't, including some sharing the same universe as Total Drama.
4. All Kuroko no Basket/Kuroko's Basketball characters are Post-Last Gamemovie(The movie takes place after the end of the series). Aomine was originally going to be an antagonist but that was before I watched more of the series and the movie. Since being defeated his personality has changed back to who he was before he got stronger. The only thing that really carried over from his villain characteristics is his belief that he's the best(minus the disrespect he had for his opponents and teammates) and his nowsomewhatlaziness. Akashi has also reverted back to his true gentleman-like, friendly personality compared to the ruthless one he had developed for most of the show.
5. As seen in Neon-Trainer's suggestion of the character, the Jotaro used here is from Part 3 of JoJo: Stardust Crusaders.
6. Falcon, Ryoma and Ayame are also using their anime continuities rather than their game continuities, which means the ages used for them are from the anime rather than the games. Just like last time, there isn't a guarantee they'll have knowledge of anything they encounter that comes from the games that wasn't in the show.
7. Songs will also play a role in the season. However, they'll only be used for two parts of it: The first part and World Tour. I don't think they'll be used for any other part of the season, but that isn't a guarantee.
8. Singing will work in the same way MemeKing's singing worked in Infinite 2: Singer:Song Lyrics
That about covers everything. I hope you enjoy!
Unknown Island, Canada
"Yo! What's up? And welcome to the start of another season of one of the hottest reality TV shows on this side of Canada! Heck, not just Canada, the world! Total Drama! Or for this season Total Drama Across The Multiverse! I am your one andonlyhost, Chris McLean! And if anyone else tells you someone else hosted, it never happened!" Chris said, putting a lot of emphasis on "only".
"But anyways, right now, we're live on an island off the coast of Canada. Yeah, I know it's not much but I promise you, this season's gonna be more entertaining than you think! But for right now, until all of our vic- I mean competitors arrive on the boats, that were rentals by the way, let's give a rundown on how this season will work and for you newcomers, the basics of Total Drama." Chris then started to explain the basics of Total Drama.
Total Drama Recap Theme Plays
"A large assortment of contestants will compete in an assortment of challenges against each other. Then, at the end of each challenge, one team will win a reward. The other will choose one, and in some cases more than one team member to vote off and be eliminated from the season. And at the end of it all, there will be only one left standing. And that one will be rewarded with fame that'll probably only be temporary and boat load of cash, that, let's be honest here, probably won't last very long."
The camera was changed to Camp Wawanakwa and past footage of Total Drama Island, including Owen celebrating his victory in the season.
"Every season has had something special about each. The first season, Island and good ol' Camp Wawanakwa, with its dangerous wildlife, disgusting camp food, and just as, if not more dangerous, but hilarious challenges. With the lovable party guy Owen coming out on top."
The camera changed to the abandoned film lot next, showing footage of Total Drama Action, with Duncan celebrating his victory in the Aftermath set.
"Action. With slightly better conditions in the abandoned film lot, but still dangerous challenges. This time based on movies. Okay, maybe notasdangerous, but they still weren't a walk in the park. This time, the juvenile delinquent bad boy Duncan was able to steal the show and come out victorious."
The next shot shown was a plane flying along with the contestants singing "Come Fly With Us" at the beginning of the season. Heather and Alejandro battling for the prize with Heather coming out on top and winning the season was also shown.
"World Tour. This time the action took place around the world, with an assortment of challenges in each location. Singing was involved this time around for the challenges too, and I can tell ya, some of the contestants hated it. But, for Heather, a veteran of Action and Island, it was well worth it as she was able to win the season, defeating Alejandro, who she totally didn't have a crush on and vice versa. Seriously, there were so may times that those two should have just kissed."
Camp Wawanakwa was shown again, this time covered in toxic waste. Several toxic waste barrels along with mutated animals were seen.
"Revenge of the Island. The season where we return to Camp Wawanakwa after being away from it for two seasons. But things looked different from the last time we were there. Namely all the toxic waste as you can obviously see on the screen. Yeah, I used it as a toxic waste dump. But, it was still more than safe enough to use again for another season. And in the finale, it was a battle of brains vs brawn. Cameron vs Lightning. And in this case, brains won, with Cameron, going from being called a wimp to being the king of the island, winning the season. Unfortunately though, the EPA decided to seize control of the island and I got arrested. An arrest that was totally unjustified! It's not like anyone died. But, I'm standing here today to host, so everything worked out in the end."
"All-Stars. A shortened season composed of the most beloved contestants from every previous season. And this time, back on the restored Camp Wawanakwa. So, at the very least, I will give the EPA this, they were able to do something great after all: cleaning the island up so that I didn't have to do it. And I got another season out of it and a cottage! A cottage that was unfortunately destroyed! Thanks a lot Duncan!" Chris said, the last part being sarcastic. "Ultimately, in the final challenge, Mike was able to come out on top. But at what cost? The island! Yeah, Chef decided to use a drill to make moats for the final challenge and it sunk. Never to be seen again! Great job Chef! You're really earning that raise right now!" Chris said sarcastically.
"Yeah, well you can steer the boat, and you can fly the plane! Or whatever else we use! Since I'm not 'earning my raise'." Chef said.
"Me? Fly the plane? What is wrong you dude? That, is what I hired you for man. And quiet, you're spoiling things!" Chris said.
Chef could only sigh. The camera then switched to Pahkitew Island footage.
"Pahkitew Island. An all-new cast on an all-new island! One that some could argue was probably worse than Camp Wawanakwa! The contestants were on their own for shelter and food. What, you really thought I was going to go through all of that effort replacing all of that stuff? Think again. Even the wildlife was robotic. Maybe ifsomeonehadn't sunk the perfectly good island we had last time, we wouldn't have had to use this! But hey, one good thing came out of it: The weather could be controlled too. But in the end of it all, the conspiracy nut Shawn was able to claim victory for the season."
Don was then seen on the screen as Ridonculous Race footage was shown with MacArthur and Sanders being shown as the overall winners as the final footage used from that season.
"And then there was some other season that despite it being Total Drama in name, lacked its heart and soul: Me! Which is exactly why I'm back here and not someotherhost." Chris said, clearly not happy about the season from his expressions. "But yeah, some police officers I think won or something. I didn't really care to watch."
Footage of Total Drama Island: Multiverse Edition including the contestants stepping off the boats and competing in challenges was seen.
"But, there was one other season that was in between Action and World Tour that was insane. For that season, we took several contestants not just from Canada, and not even from around the world. We took contestants from the entire multiverse! From veterans, to super powered celebrities to aliens and mutants, that season had it all. But in the end, in a shocking turn of events, it was the human witch Luz that took home the money! And no, she can't do real magic. She used to, but not anymore. Kinda. It was with like glyphs or something. Look, it's a long story! Just know that out of all the superpowered contestants, an Avenger in Hawkeye and grizzled veterans like Heather and Courtney, she won. Turst me, that ending was wild. I mean, really wild. Look at this!"
Footage of two Huey's fighting as the world was suffering from adverse effects including some objects coming apart and turning to liquid among other odd things was seen.
The camera cut back to Chris.
"Then, we brought things back to their roots on Wawanakwa on a new rebooted season of Total Drama Island! New contestants! New challenges! And of course, one winner! Oh, and Chef got to co-host! Cool, right?"
Footage of the new contestants and their introductions were seen.
"They brought refreshing personalities to the game. But in the end, it was Priya, the girl whose purpose literally was to compete in Total Drama and win. No, I'm not making that up. That was her words. From herownparents. Which is... really concerning. That is awful man. I know she won and all, but I'm not sure if money alone can fix what's going on with her." Chef said.
The camera cuts back to Chris and Chef once again.
"So what does this season have in store? A little bit of all of those things actually! We're bringing together a colorful cast from across the multiverse along with some veterans from every single season and generation of Total Drama together in one of its most exciting seasons yet! Who will be the one to come out on top in the wake of all this madness? Find out right here on Total… Drama…. Across the Multi-"
Chef was suddenly knocked out and then frozen before a hole was blown in Chris' head before he fell to his knees and then face first into the ground.
As the boat got closer, it was revealed to have been someone that has previously competed in other seasons.
Noah noticed this as he got off the boat and was confused. "Oooookay….."
He looked around, unsure of what to do until the next boat came with an anthropomorphic wolf. He had a dark grey snout and wore a cream colored blazer which was unbuttoned over a bright white dress shirt with matching dress pants and brown dress shoes. He also wore brown-rimmed sunglasses.
"Uh….. what the heck happened to Chris? Did he fall asleep?" The wolf asked.
"No clue. Probably some prank he's trying to pull." Noah said to him before looking around. "Can't even bother to wait until a few episodes in can you?!" He called out.
Someone stepped off the next boat, one hand on the bill of his cap before putting his hand in his pocket left pocket to go along with the other one that was in his right pocket. He wore a trenchcoat-length gakuran pierced with a golden chain on the left. Underneath it was a grey sleeveless shirt and a pair of black pants with leather shoes. His black cap was adorned with a golden button in the center and a rectangular golden plate designed like a flattened hand. It was also notably torn at the back.
He looked at the frozen Chef and then back at Noah and the wolf.
"Yeah…" Noah said, knowing how awkward this must be for his first appearance on the show.
The latest contestant thought about letting it be, but something in him said otherwise. So after seeing a clearly froze Chef, he decided to look at Chris next and flip him over. A whole was in the middle of his head. He then felt for a pulse and then felt his body temperature. It was still pretty warm.
"He's dead." He said in a point blank tone.
"I's just elaborate prank he's trying to pull on us. First episode for some reason. I should know. I-"
"This isn't a prank. This body is still warm. Which means, he died fairly recently."
"Woah, woah, woah, woah, woah, hold on a second. That's a strong statement to make." The wolf said.
"Do you think I'm joking? Feel the body yourself."
"Okay, anyone wanna fill me in on what's going on here?" The next contestant asked, getting off the boat. He was a boy with brown skin, brown hair combed upward at the end and black-framed glasses walked off the boat. He wore a red sweater over a white t-shirt that was untucked over blue jeans.
"This guy here thinks Chris is-" Noah started.
"Holy cow, he's right. If this was some mask or costume, it wouldn't feel like this. Or smell like that." The wolf said before looking at Noah. "What the heck did you do!?"
"Me!? I didn't do anything! I literally got here and saw him like this!"
"Great. First day and we're already in some mess. Why did I agree with you to enter this again? Er, me?" An old man said to Bennett. Though only he could see him. He wore a grey trench coat with cuffed sleeves at the end that was open over a blue sweater and white dress shirt. He also wore grey dress pants, black glasses that were in the same style as Bennett's and black dress shoes. He also had light-brown skin, a grey beard, and grey hair that was pointing upward in the middle.
"First challenge and everyone's not even here yet? That's a new one." Virgil said, arriving with his friend and partner for the season, Richie.
"This isn't a challenge. Chris is dead. And I really do mean that." The wolf said, a look on his face that showed he was still trying to process what just happened. Which was all Virgil needed to know it was real.
He looked at Chris himself. "Well, I was gonna try to give him a jumpstart but….. ain't no defibrilator gonna save that. His brain is cooked. Literally I think."
A man wearing an orange jumper with glasses was about to say one thing but changed his mind after seeing what was going on.
"Long story." Noah said.
"Actually, a short one. Chris is dead." Richie said in a point-blank tone.
"The long story's gonna come from who did it, how and why." Virgil said.
And that was what was part of the headlines covering this unprecedented event.
Dakota
Detroit, Michigan (Static Shock)
"This is crazy…. A guy Chris, dead with no one able to find a cause as to why." Virgil said at school, walking with Richie as they had a newspaper in their hands.
"Yeah, I know. Some people got their rumors but, you know how crazy those types of conspiracies can get." Richie said.
"Which is why I don't even tune in to most of em unless there's solid evidence."
Hell(Helluva Boss)
Octavia looks at her phone, reading the article and could only sigh and think about what could have been before putting in her earbuds and putting on some music.
Daring Residence(The Replacements)
"I don't even know how this would happen. Why it would happen." Riley said, looking at the story.
"Yeah. It sucks but…. what can you do?" Todd said, shrugging.
Bellwood(Ben 10)
"There has to be more. Someone like Chris wouldn't just up and die like that. And he for sure wouldn't do it to himself." Gwen said as she, Ben, Rook and Kevin were all at a table outside of a restaurant.
"There's nothing else they can go off of. No one and nothing saw anything." Ben said, eating a fry.
"In this day and age? I don't believe that one bit. There's more to this, I'm telling you."
"Look, if they're sayin' there's nothin', there's nothin'. You don't got any way to prove otherwise." Kevin said.
"This is an unfortunate mess all around." Rook said.
Coast City, California, Earth(Green Lantern the Animated Series)
"Yeah. I talked to him already. It sucks honestly." Hal said to Carol Ferris as they were out at a restaurant.
"For everyone else that doesn't get the money yeah. But Razer? He doesn't need that money. Or….. does he?" Carol said.
"That's not why. I really wanted him to have something to take his mind off finding Aya. This would have been perfect. Not gonna another opportunity like that anytime soon." He said before sighing. "And on top of that, I pretty much wasted his time and my own. I know he's grown not to get mad at everybody since getting the blue ring but….. no one wants their time wasted."
She puts an arm on his shoulder. "Hey. You tried to do something to help him. It was genuine. He understands that. And I'm sure he knows that what happened was out of your hands. No one could have predicted that. That's why it's so much of a shock to a lot of people."
"Yeah, I know…."
"Alright, what can I do to help you go back from Batman to Hal Jordan?"
Hal smiled a little and looked at her. "Well….."
"Walked right into that one." She replied, already knowing what he's going to say.
"Just like you can walk with me back to my place. And upstairs-"
"Okay, okay, I think I got you the first time." She said, smiling back.
Unknown Earth(The One 2001)
Yulaw was seen taking his frustrations of being denied a chance to compete and find his other self on a poor sandbag.
And several of the other hundreds of contestants, and millions of hopeful viewers had their own reactions to the shocking events that just occurred.
3 Years Later…..
Total Drama had announced to have been officially cancelled. The network tried to get Don, Blaineley and even a new original host to keep the series going and maybe even find some new magic to exceed the seasons Chris has hosted. But none of it worked.
Don's season was average in terms of viewership and Blaineley's was below-average. And the last gasp with a new host was lower than that.
The dipping in ratings constantly was what caused the network to ultimately axe the series for good, barring a reboot to try again down the line.
"I can't believe it. Total Drama's gone. Forever." Courtney said, reading the news, in a reunion with the cast of every previous season.
"Look, I can't believe it either but let's not be overdramatic. They could always just reboot it down the line." Nichelle said.
"And have it not be hosted by Chris again. Look, I know we all couldn't stand the guy, but it ain't the same. I know. I watched some of the episodes of all the new seasons. And trust me, they ain't got the same juice that was there when we were competing." Duncan said, older. He was put on parole and released early for good behavior and was now working an honest job. "I know some people say some of the newbies from that last one Chris did with you and the others were just lazy soulless clones of us, no offense, this is what I've heard."
"None taken. Keep goin'." Nichelle said.
"But I gotta disagree. The last season with the new guy? Uh uh. Those guys are literally poor man's versions of us. Oh wow, the friendly big guy. So original. The snarky nerd. Uh huh. Totally not a rip-off. The by the book guy that claims he has all this stuff in school like class president. Definitely not a genderswap of someone else that competed. It's general stuff, but when you watch it, you'll see what I'm talking about. Any reboots, unless they really bring their A-Game and make something original that's good, they'll all crash and burn."
"I still can't believe he's gone!" Owen yelled out hysterically, crying and bringing in Leshawna and multiple other people for a hug.
"Me too big guy. Me too." Leshawna said. "Now uh, if you don't let go of me so I can get some air, I'm gonna be gone too!" She said, gasping for air before he let her go.
Alejandro walks over to Heather who was sitting by herself at a table, half-heartedly drinking a bit of wine.
"You okay?" He asked her genuinely.
"What do you think?" She replied as she was wearing a red dress and a pearl necklace with a ring on her finger, the ring being an engagement ring to Alejandro.
"I'll be honest, Chris….. he-"
"I know, I know, gone too soon. But that's not why I feel like this. I feel like this because it feels unfinished. I'm not satisfied. If that makes sense."
"Well, considering your outcomes in the seasons, I can understand why you'd feel that way."
"It's not the seasons. I don't care about that anymore. It's the fact that Chris is gone and we don't even get a real explanation as to why. No pictures, no evidence, nothing. Just a bunch of baseless conspiracy theories and rumors from tin-foiled idiots online. Or people that want to just say anything that sounds crazy or controversial for attention or money since some people will believe anything."
"Ah, I see. The cold case bothers you."
"Yeah. It does."
"Well, is there anything I can do to take your mind off it?"
"Yeah. You can… get me some water. Please and thank you."
That definitely wasn't the answer he was expecting but he'll honor it regardless. "Sure thing."
A couple of minutes later, Alejandro returned with the water.
"Heather! Alejandro! We're gonna put down the flowers! You comin'!?" Cody called out, wearing an engagement ring himself, meeting his special someone at a gas station. It was small talk with her, but that's how a lot of bonding starts.
"Yeah!" Heather answered.
"Yes!" Alejandro added.
"Thanks a lot Chris. Your show is the reason why I even have the job that I enjoy in the first place. I wish I could do something to stop you from being taken from us but…. time machines don't exist. So…. thank you for Total Drama Chris." Sierra said, the occupation she was referring to being a journalist for an online news site.
As for her relationship with Cody, she was actually good friends with him now. Of course, that was after she came to a realization of how unhealthy her obsession with him was and that letting him go so he could be happy is what someone that really cares would do. All it took was some time away from Total Drama, oddly enough.
"Gone too soon man. Hope you're at peace." Duncan said before giving a two-fingered salure.
"Total Drama hasn't been the same without you. I tried. Really did. But these guys, they're too soft!" Eva said.
"Alright Eva, let's not blow a gasket and do something we regret." Cody said.
"I'M FINE YA TOOTHPICK! JEEZ!" Eva yelled out before dropping the flower.
"All I want to know is….. why? What took him from us so soon?" Courtney said, putting down her own flower.
A/N: And that's it. Story's done. Season's done. Cancelled before it began. A tragic end to a host, a season, and by extension, a show.
I'll be real, Multiverse Edition wore me out. Thought about doing something even bigger but it proved to be too much for me to handle especially with the other things I have going on personally. Too many characters to balance along with the three teams, etc. There's a reason why no one else does large seasons like this. Or they end up dying and never finishing after the first couple episodes. And unfortunately, this is one of them.
I'll try again with a smaller cast this time. I know doing this may lose the trust of some of you that I'll even finish that one, and I'm truly sorry for that. But, I'm not afraid to say I made a mistake and be willing to learn from them. I'll make a new sign-up sheet with a suggestion of characters for you to submit if you'd like. More than likely the half-and-half thing will still apply.
So, that's pretty much it. Hope you'll check out the next season, and if you don't, I completely understand. Stay tuned!

From an age far, far away…
Someone was seen watching a montage of these moments, along with a scene of Rick dead, hole in his chest. It was hard to see from that perspective, but there seemed to have been a tear in one of his eyes. This scene was revealed to have been in a scroll with purple emanating with purple energy out of it. The others were also were also in different scrolls, with purple energy emanating from them.
Someone was heard sighing.
"Try to clean one mess and it just makes another…." A female voice was heard sighing.
Dragon Ball Z: Sparking Neo Soundtrack- Mind Power….Ki! Instrumental Plays
"But if it's not stopped, it'll only get worse. History must be restored back to what it once was. You know what to do…. Trunks."
A young man was given the scroll. He has lavender hair, that parts from the top of his head to fram both sides of his face, with two loose strands over his forehead. He was wearing a black trench coat with a brown fur-lined collar and an olive-green sweater underneath, matching pants, brown lace-up boots and brown gloves. A sword was holstered on his back.
He takes the scroll and gets a firm grip of it, nodding before a bright light was seen, with him leaving going back to the past.
Past
The source of the female voice was revealed after he left, revealing herself to be Chronoa AKA The Supreme Kai of Time, and one of the previous awful cooks in the bad food challenge from Multiverse Edition. Though that was the last thing on her mind at the moment as she sat at a table, silently thinking, in an effort to process things, and get just a little bit of stress relief, knowing that the hard part hasn't even come yet.
Trunks was seen being teleported to an island in Muskoka Ontario.
"Alright, looks like this is the place." Trunks said before flying off.
Music Stops
Unknown Island
"Yeah, Chef decided to use a drill to make moats for the final challenge and it sunk.
As Chris was about to explain Pahkitew Island, Trunks was seen from a distance, looking out for anything that seemed out of the ordinary.
But in the end of it all, the conspiracy nut Shawn was able to claim victory for the season."
"Nothing so far….." Trunks said.
"Keep looking! If we're going to fix this, it has to start here." Chronoa said to him, back at the time nest.
"Of course! I won't quit that easy!"
Kinda. "Then, we brought things back to their roots on Wawanakwa on a new rebooted season of Total Drama Island! New contestants! New challenges! And of course, one winner! Oh, and Chef got to co-host! Cool, right?"
A portal appeared far off in the distance. But strangely, nothing and no one came out of it. But that wasn't enough for Trunks. If it wasn't going to come out, he was going to come to whatever it was.
He was unknowingly being watched from very, very far away with a scope. It then changed to Chris.
"So what does this season have in store? A little bit of all of those things actually! Chris held the pose for a good few seconds before stopping.
Inside the portal, Trunks was fighting with the masked and armored assailant inside a garage as laser shots were seen before Trunks was able to easily overpower him and take the gun away, which was the second of the weapons he had. He then pulled out a couple of other close ranged weapons but Trunks was able to easily disarm those from him as well.
Trunks pushed him against a wall, but made sure it wasn't too hard to where he'd be seriously injured. But even then, he was still fighting.
"You have to stop and listen to me!" Trunks said as the assailant continued to try to fight him. Eventually, tired of the resisting, Trunks forcefully takes the helmet off his head, revealing the assailant to have been Rick.
"He killed them! Their dead! He killed him! He killed everyone! He killed them all!"
"I understand but you have to stop! This isn't going to fix anything!"
"Shut up! Shut the f*ck up!" Rick cried out, taking out a portable saber, but Trunks took that away from him as well.
"Listen to me and look at this! Look!" Trunks said, holding a scroll to his face.
Rick tries to look away. "NO!"
"IF YOU DO THIS, YOU WILL DIE, DO YOU UNDERSTAND!?"
"I SAID SHUT UP! YOU DON'T THINK I KNOW THAT RISK!? I DON'T CARE! I'LL STILL KILL HIM ANYWAY!"
Trunks turns into a Super Saiyan and punches the part of the wall on the side of him. "THIS IS NOT A RISK! THIS IS HISTORY! HISTORY THAT YOU MADE! YOU DID THIS! YOU WON'T WIN!"
"Trunks! What are you doing!? You know you can't show him that!" Chronoa said to him.
Trunks ignored her. "I know you want to make things right, but this isn't how you do it!"
Rick looks at the scroll after thinking. "If that scroll shows me what happened, then I can use that to know how to prepare." He tried to get the scroll from but Trunks kept it out of his reach.
"And then what?"
"I'm Rick. You think I won't be able to figure that out?"
"If that really was the case then I wouldn't be standing here right now. If you can figure things out then what's stopping him from doing the same thing?"
"A lot, actually. That lot being me."
"You get rid of him, there'll still be others that can do damage just like he did. And what you've done will still allow them to do that If you truly care about them, you won't take those memories away from them, especially your grandson."
Rick thinks for several seconds before lowering his shoulders as they were no longer tense.
"Alright. But I swear to God, if this doesn't work-"
"It will."
Rick holds on to a part of the scroll while Trunks holds another before they were both teleported out.
A/N: And that's it! I won't spoil anything that happens in the next chapter here. Or even give a hint. I'll leave that to be a surprise. :)
I'll see you next time with the next chapter!
