AN: Hey, guys. It has been a year since I've started writing for Steven Universe. So, I just want to write something for the anniversary of when I started my fanfic journey, I hope you enjoy this!
The Hangout Of A Lifetime
July 2014
Steven, Amethyst, and Paridot had been friends for a while now. Steven and Peridot both took care of The Cluster that was incubating in the Earth. Now, they were all on the beach throwing a frisbee around. Amethyst was also with them. They'd thought of a 'team name' for themselves and that was how 'Shorty Squad' was created since they were the shortest Crystal Gems.
Steven, Amethyst, and Paridot were all talking.
"Hey guys! we should do something, just the three of us!" Steven said, tossing the frisbee to Paridot, she caught it. And throws it to Amethyst.
"What do you have in mind, dude?"
"Let's go to a trampoline park!" he exclaimed.
"Oh, heck yeah, dude! I would love that!"
"Yeah! I can get my dad to drive us!" he said, smiling. Amethyst and Paridot both nod, thinking that it is a good idea. But… Paridot wanted to drive them all there.
"I have an Idea!" Paridot said.
"Yeah?"
"I can drive us!" she said.
"Um, I don't think that's a good idea, Peri…. if there's nobody taller—" Steven gets cut off by her. Ignoring road laws.
"Oh, Steven! I'm a thousand years old! I won't get pulled over. And If I did. I would call them a CLOD!"
Steven almost cringed and thought of the possibilities of how that could go wrong in so many different ways.
Partidot went to his dad's car wash, and Steven and Amethyst tagged along. They see what they need.
A form of transportation.
"Dude, you're getting that look again," Amethyst said.
"Do you want to do this or not!" she asked. Steven and Amethyst weren't so sure about this… But they trusted her.
Paridot got into the car and hotwired it.
"Dude, how did you learn how to do that?" Amethyst asked.
"YouTube," she said simply. Both Steven and Amethyst look at her, concerned about what she is looking up online.
She adjusted the mirror and they drove out of Beach City.
Peridot, Amethyst, and Steven were driving in Delaware. Steven got directions to the arcade from his phone. Music by Crush 40 was
Steven looks out the window and sees a car with flashing red and blue lights.
"Guys!" he said, Paridot adjusts the rearview mirror. They hear sirens.
"Oh stars!" Paridot said. "This was a dumb idea! such a stupid idea!"
"Calm down, Pari." Ameythest said. "We have to outrun them!" she said, a smirk forming on her lips.
"What?!" Steven exclaimed. "No, nononononono!"
"Calm down, Steven! it'll be fine!" Amythest said.
"It's not fine! We can't run from the police!"
"Oh? watch me!" she said.

Another song begun to play after that one. Paridot put her foot on the gas then drove full speed, trying to get away from them.
They see a sign and they swerve to get behind it. she killed the engine and the car sped past her. Ameythest, Paridot and Steven all high fived each other. Then she started back up.
They were now driving to the trampoline park.
"Where here!" Steven said. They went inside. they got socks and bounced on the trampolines. Happy as they can be.
"Hey, Steven!" Amethest said. "Do a flip!"
Steven dows a flip and landed perfectly on the large, square shaped trampoline. Paridot was also jumping, Steven and Amethyst went to the basketball hoops and started making dunks.
Even Ameythest was doing them. despite that she's short. She can jump real high. And that's without her leaping ability.
Steven shot a basket and it went in. He cheered and did a backflip.
All and all. it was a good day for them, even though they almost got in trouble with the police.
