(King Torsten's pov— Norway, Helheim's Gate)
For three centuries, Vikings have been engaged in a most bloody war with dragons and both sides lost tens of thousands during the years. But the dragon raids have become even more bloody and we Vikings have all but fled Norway entirely because dragons surround us and have stripped us of our livestock and food and scorched our portion of Midgard to the point where we can no longer grow crops.
England will become our new home, but the Christians are making it hard for our kind to settle, especially since they have the help of Hiccup Haddock III— the greatest traitor to Midgard, he has renounced his Viking heritage, embraced the Christian faith and god, and has killed tens of thousands of Odin's warriors. That traitor will face a traitors end soon enough, I will see to that personally, but now I have something more pressing to attend to.
I, King Torsten of the Branded Brutes have amassed what Viking tribes and kingdoms are left here in Norway to unite under one flag, with one purpose, to destroy the Christian kingdom of Arendelle and see the traitor Hiccup Haddock receive the Blood Eagle for spitting on his heritage, kin, and the gods of the Æsir.
But before we unleash our wrath on Arendelle, we must go to Helheim's Gate and subdue the monster that has plagued us Vikings for these past three centuries, we must subdue the Red Death and tame her to do our bidding. Long ago, my ancestors managed to subdue these mountain-sized giants with the aid of Dragon Hunters, our ancestors used these Stoker dragons as the ultimate weapons in their conquests. And since the Christians use dragons, we must adapt and use them to combat our foes as well.
I was standing on the deck of a Dragon Hunter ship and here on this ship stood the last of the Viking kings, queens, jarls, and earls in Norway. Our combined forces are enough to take the entirety of England, we will use this great army to slaughter every Christian and settle on their land. Turning around, I make my way towards the cabin of this ship and it is there where I find my allies, Vikings and Dragon Hunters who're formulating a plan to bring down the Stoker dragon who sleeps in the volcano of Helheim's Gate. The allies consisted of the greatest Viking kingdoms in all of Norway, and we even had the kin of Ivar the Boneless standing by our side, Ivar Ivarsson whose intellect is deadlier and sharper than any sword.
"Ah, Torsten, come," My wife Sif said, "we're formulating a plan on how to bring down the Stoker that resides in the mountain." As I join my allies, I look at the detailed map of Helheim's Gate our cartographers provided us with. "If we're going to bring this monster down, we need to do it on our terms," I say firmly, "I will not lose a single one of our warriors until the true battle has begun." Turning to the leader of these Dragon Hunters, Matron Maeve, I raised an eyebrow at her. "Your people have more than enough Dragon Root in the hold of your ship. I suggest we use that against the Stoker," I look to my allies and continue. "while Maeve and her people pump the Stoker full of Dragon Root, we then use the grappling chains and bring her down, and then proceed to place the collar around its neck and inject the mind-controlling venom in its system."
"Easier said than done King Torsten," Ivar said with his arms crossed, "this Stoker dragon will resist and unleash great violence upon us. How certain are you that your plan will succeed?" I look into his ocean blue eyes and smirk at him. "Is that fear I smell Ivarsson?" Ivar snorts while grinning. "Not fear, caution," He corrected, "according to your spies and cartographers, this Stoker has quite a temper. We must ensure that we do not lose any of our men or ships, not until we reach England and exact our revenge against the traitor Hiccup Haddock."
"Aye! Though there is a possibility this plan may work, there is also the possibility that it does not work," King Guthred said, "what makes you so sure that this plan will bear fruit and not be the end of this great army we have amassed?" I looked at both Ivar and Guthred and raised my eyebrows at them. "If either one of you has a better plan, then please share with us," I then stepped back, "tell us all what grand plans you have." When neither man spoke up, I snorted at them and nodded. "Then it's decided, we go along with my plan without the loss of a single one of our warriors," I then look to Maeve and nod at her. "You know what to do." She returns my nod and exits the cabin we were meeting in.
As everyone takes their leave of the cabin, I look at the maps of England and eye them with curiosity. I feel a hand on the back of my neck and turn to see that my wife, Sif, has not left the cabin. "We will fight for those lands my love," Sif says firmly, "and we will see Hiccup Haddock receive a traitor's death, " I grunt in agreement with her and know it to be true. "The journey ahead of us will be spoken of for generations," I say, "how the last great army of Vikings united as one to conquer the Christian lands and purge all existence of them and their god." Sif smiled at me and kiss my forehead. "We will secure this victory for our people and become legends!" I grinned at my wife's words and press my lips against hers. After breaking our kiss, I murmur against her mouth. "But first we need to enslave the Stoker that resides in that volcano," I close my eyes and savor the sensations of my wife's lips against my neck and jawline, "which means we must stay focused on the task at hand," I say firmly as I grab her wrist just as she's about to palm my clothed cock.
The doors to the cabin opened, revealing one of my men. "King Torsten, Queen Sif, we've arrived at Helheim's Gate!" My wife and I share a look and nod at each other, we then exit the cabin and walk out on the deck of Maeve's ship as we see the fog that leads into Helheim's Gate. Maeve, who was draped in a cloak made out of the scales of a Skrill barked out to her crew. "Take us in!" Her ship, the Gnasher, then entered the dense fog while the rest of our fleet of both Vikings and Dragon Hunter ships followed. We had a chained down Gronckle on the deck that'll lead us towards the volcano, I could see the dragon's ears twitching as it then moved its head to the right, causing Maeve's crew to steer right. About five minutes of zigzagging destroyed ships, sea stacks, and sharp rocks the volcano came into view.
"Stop!" Maeve whisper yelled out, causing the Gnasher to drop anchor a good distance away from the beach. The rest of our ships followed our example and dropped their anchors a good distance away from the beach, I could see everyone was in their positions, ready to bring down the monster that dwells within that volcano. Maeve then gave the order to crack open the volcano, forcing the Stoker to come out, wave after wave of boulders were launched from our catapults, and collided into the volcano causing it to crack open, after about five minutes of constant bombardment, a cave mouth was formed.
And then an ear-piercing roar was heard, which shook the beach and sent ripples across the water. The monster revealed itself by smashing through the cave mouth we created and once again let out a roar that rattled our bones as it then looked in our direction. Turning to her men who had their arrows, ballista's, and arrow launchers laced with Dragon Root, Maeve gave the order to fire and the skies seemed to darken even more as volley after volley of arrows and ballista's struck this beast in spots that weren't too thick. Its belly, neck, throat, and even the inside of its mouth were hit with arrows and ballista's causing the beast to let out an enraged roar and slam its tail into the sand, letting us know that it was angry. As it advanced towards us, Maeve once more gave the orders to bombard this monster with arrows and ballista's, as it was being pumped full of Dragon Root, its effects were taking hold of it quickly, causing it to move sluggishly.
"NOW! Use the grappling chains!"
Long, thick, dragon-proof chains were fired at this beast and wrapped around its throat, forepaws, and its maw. Our strongest warriors began to reel it in while the Dragon Hunters continued to pump it full of Dragon Root, causing this mountain-sized dragon to quickly lose consciousness, but it wouldn't be taken down so easily as it then unleashed a wave of fire our way, causing us all to quickly take cover and then continued to bring it down. It was about to unleash another way of fire, but one of Maeve's men fired a ballista that struck the roof of its mouth, causing this giant to roar out in agony and then collapse down on the black sands while breathing heavily in exhaustion.
Maeve turned to one of her men and nodded, the hunters then proceeded to raise anchor and steer the Gnasher right up to the beach until we were mere inches away from the beast's massive head. Maeve's men then used a crane to lower the collar we would place around the beast's neck. Using rope to descend on top of the beast's neck, the hunters proceeded to slide large darts into several slots around the collar and began to pump mind-controlling venom into the beast's neck. As the venom began following through the beasts, it's six eyes snapped open and its pupils turned into thin slits as it quickly rose back to its feet and unleashed a thunderous roar and was about release another wave of fire on top of us but Maeve then boomed out
"STOP!"
The beast snapped its jaws shut and smoke began seeping out of the cracks of its teeth and, Maeve then glared at the beast and once barked out. "Bow before me!" Snarling out loud, the beast lowered its head in submission, it was now under our control. I then chuckled and looked to Ivar and Guthred whose faces were twisted with shock and awe. Maeve then pointed towards the volcano. "Summon your swarm! Tell them they must fight alongside us!" Turning back towards the volcano, the massive dragon let out a thunderous roar and within minutes, swarms of dragons poured out of the volcano and flew overhead.
Maeve then approached me and Sif with a bow of her head. "The Red Death is now under our control King Torsten," She then gestured to the ships behind us, "perhaps now is the time to give a rousing speech." Humming in agreement, I make my way towards the back of the Gnasher and boom out for all my fellow Vikings could hear me.
"Brothers and sisters of Norway, hear me! We have brought down this mighty beast with no casualties! We will now use the Red Death and her swarm of dragons to conquer England, soak Midgard with the blood of the Christians, and see that Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III receives a traitor's death!"
All the Vikings unleashed battle cries while banging their weapons against their shields, we now gave an army of man and dragon large enough to destroy our enemies and claim England as our own lands.
"Ready yourselves warriors of Norway! The gods are with us all! We have swords in hand and many battles ahead of us! Land to be won, wealth to be shared, and Saxons to kill!"
Once more our Viking armies unleashed a thunderous roar that rivaled the Red Death's own roars. My blood ran hot and my hunger for blood was stronger than ever, I then turned to Maeve and nodded at her.
"Set sail! We go to England and begin a new age for the Viking people," I then smiled and added, "an age that will be spoken of for centuries to come."
