"Oh, I don't think so," the faker replied, taking another step. It was…so weird seeing another Percy. Cobra never had gotten used to that part of Sorano's key usage. At least she never had enough magic power to make him fight himself.

"See, what about those two lovely ladies giving their all for you downstairs? You can't help but adore them. Even though I'm sure they think you've lost your mind. Gilda is your closest friend, maybe even your first friend. She wouldn't give up on you for the world. Then there's Perse. You like her," the double giggled in a manner unbefittingly cute, "oh sorry, you admire her. From afar. It's always afar with you. Even though you also like to think about what would happen if things were a little less far–"

Percy body checked himself.

The double went sprawling across the floor as Percy pinned his, it's, er…himself down and held him there. Gemini trembled, struggling to get up, but as they would be at equal physical abilities with the person they copied, a contest of strength wouldn't get very far.

Cobra went to seize Percy in the opening, only to be held back by Lucy, who shook her head. He frustratingly obliged, watching Percy rage.

"You don't understand! You could never understand what I've gone through! My whole life I've known I've been without something everyone else has. It hurts! It's always hurt! But I got by! I made do! Until this came along, and now everyone wants to take it from me! Me! The one who has nothing! Why do people want to do that to me!"

"I'm not sure," the double replied, having given up the struggle and looking at the raving Percy with the calmest eyes. "Why do they want to do that to us?"

"Because they HATE me!" Percy shrieked.

Immediately a chill fell across the air. The double only smiled, one that looked exactly like the smug face Percy pulled when he deceived them.

"Well…that's a contradiction, isn't it?" With a poof, the twins turned back into themselves, floating away from Percy. "You're the weirdest human we've copied by far," they said in sync. "And we once copied Ichiya."

Percy's eyes went glassy, looking at them float away. Then back to his precious threads. His lips trembled, and he saw Cobra and Lucy staring at him, waiting.

He ran, right out onto the balcony.

Before he could move, from his side, he heard a gentle murmur. "Before you go, let's see if this will work…"
