Welcome back for another chapter of Mario's adventure in Hell Kingdom. The time has come for Mario to surpass the final trial of the Overlords. He's now gonna face Alastor in a heated battle, but we also see the whereabouts of the V's and Hazbin Hotel. Let's see what happens.

Chapter 10: The Radio Demon's 3rd Trial

In the V Tower, a commotion was happening in Velvette's studio. Four designers brought up their dresses for feedback. The boss lady was seriously unimpressed.

"Ugh. No. Unacceptable. You're fired. What is this? WRIST RUFFLES?! Is this 1750?! BURN IT like the witches who wore it!" Velvette snapped.

The designers grimaced her harsh words and went away. Velvette was trying to think of some better ideas for sinners to appreciate her fashion ideas, but how could she if her employees are low-esteemed rookies who barely know how to make spectacular dresses.

Then, her iPhone started to vibrate. She got annoyed, thinking it was Valentino, who is obviously causing another s****y rant. She brought out her iPhone and saw it was a message from the 'Arms Dealer', a meeting will be held tomorrow at 10:00 a.m.

"Ugghh, not only do I have to f****n' think of new ideas, but now I have to go through that stupid meeting that I don't even have A REASON TO ATTEND TO!" she screamed at the top of her lungs, scaring some of her designers. "But then again, I have to do it for Vox since he's our chief in charge…" she grumbled.

Out of the blue, Vox appeared next to her. "Velvette! I can see you're extremely pissed about your work. Tell me, what happened?"

Velvette snorted but spoke. "Well, my bulls**t employees are being so stubborn they can't seem to find a splendiferous pattern for my liking. It's as if this establishment got full of low-grade a**holes who were born from dying!"

Then she pulled up her phone at Vox. "And now, the wannabe b***h has called us to attend a meeting that is the same god d**n plan for Extermination Day! Why can't I work peacefully at my studio!?"

Vox knew where this was going and said, "Well my dear, you know better that only you can demonstrate the 'dealer' who we really are. After all, we're not some kind of delicate household sinners like Lucifer's daughter. We take business to the limit! We show brute force against those motherf*****s! We fight to win!" Then he made a reassuring smile. "And look on the bright side. You don't need to act so formal in front of the other nitwits, especially the 'Arms Dealer'."

"Hmm, you're right. I can do whatever s**t I want. Thanks for the enthusiasm, V." Velvette acknowledged.

"Uh huh." Before Velvette could go back to work, Vox also reminded her of something. "And by the way, if for some reason you come across that human celebrity, Mario, make sure you take enough evidence so we can learn more about him at our disposal." Vox requested.

"Oh I plan to. When I get my hands on that handsome man, I'll be taking a lot of selfies and toy with his mustache at my pleasure." Velvetted giggled with glee. The two V's went back to their stationworks.

If Mario had passed many challenges involving finding all Power Stars, Power Moons, Shine Sprites, Pit of 100 Trials, and Daredevil Missions, this one would've been a little different if it weren't for Alastor in making some devious conditions. Now that Mario had some rest, he needed to be prepared for the final trial of the Overlords. Alastor spawned next to him and explained the rules for this final trial.

"Noble Mario, it's with great pleasure in welcoming you to the final trial of the Overlords!" he hollered. "For this trial, you will be facing me in an exquisite battle of strength and determination to see if you are an Overlord's greatest rival!" The radio demon pointed his staff at Mario and continued. "From what Angel and Cherry had shared about, you have exceptional talents in pulverizing your foes, right?"

"Yep, whenever an adventure awaits for me and my bro." Mario replied.

"Hmm hmm hmm, well, I'm giving you the chance to select any special attacks to have at your disposal if you were to defeat me in battle. And believe me, I'm as ruthless as any other thug you've come across." Alastor advised. "So, start choosing your artillery before the main event begins!"

Before Mario could start this selection, he remembered something. "Excuse me, most of the attacks involve a partner. How will I manage to make those attacks without a partner?"

"Aaahh, I didn't know that was an obstacle. Allow me…" He raised his staff and fired a laser on the ground. Several magic aura began to materialize and formed a shadowy look-alike of Mario next to him.

"Say hello to your holo-graphic partner, Digital Plumber!" Alastor bawled. The hologram had a red-white aura around the body with several ones and zeros surrounding the body. "With him, you'll be able to pull out any special attacks consisting of two people. Is there anything else you need?"

"Nope, I have everything all under control." Mario concluded.

"Excellent, now start going through your belongings and select your special attacks. Keep in mind though, you can only use a variety of ten special attacks. So choose WISELY." he exulted in a demonic voice.

So Mario started to think of the best abilities he could use against the radio demon. He took out a trusty hammer and gave it a few swings to see if it was durable. He then needed to make sure some attacks were useful for multiple damage and gaining some health items. For the basic attacks, he pulled a Red Shell, Fire Flower, and a Power Bounce Badge. The strong attacks are Bomb Derby, Magic Window, and Cannonball Chuck. The Ultimate attacks consist of Yoo Who Cannon, Clockout Blow, Mighty Meteor, and Zee Egg. He then started to pull out 10 Mushrooms, 5 Super Mushrooms, 5 Ultra Mushrooms, 1 Max Mushroom, 20 Syrups, 10 Ultra Syrups, 15 Refreshing Herbs, 1 Golden Mushroom, 10 1-Up Mushrooms, and 5 1-Up DX.

After some quick checking of the items and arsenal, Mario took out a battle block to store his items and specials and put them away in his pocket. Mario went up to the radio demon to begin the trial.

"Alright. I'm-a ready!" Mario signaled.

"Great great, that's what I like to hear. Now, before the match begins, I wanted to give you the data of your stats and my health bar. You'll be surprised by how much HP I have." said Alastor.

He revealed Mario's stats consisting of 250 HP, 150 BP, and the cost of each Special Attack needed; Red Shell-1, Fire Flower-3, Power Bounce Badge-4, Bomb Derby-6, Magic Window-8, Cannonball Chuck-10, Yoo Who Cannon-12, Clockout Blow-15, Mighty Meteor-17, and Zee Egg-20.

Then Alastor's stat came up, showing his total HP, attack power, and defense points. And as if it weren't obvious, his HP had all 3 numbered digits on them.

Data Results:

Mario: 200 HP, 150 BP

Alastor: 3333 HP

"Well then, Mario, hero of the Mushroom Kingdom. The time has come for you to pass this final trial. If you can do this, you will have my total allegiance and the rest of the Hazbin Hotel. Failure, and you'll serve me as a slave for ETERNITY!" Alastor vociferate.

Mario nodded and got into his battle pose. "Alright…let's-a go!"

"Let the final trial of the Overlords…COMMENCE!" the radio demon yelled, in a demonic voice.

BGM: Double Bowsers! - Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam

The battle began! Mario went first by jumping on Alastor's head two times, dealing 25 damage, making it 50 damage total.

Alastor raised his staff and fired a small laser beam. Mario saw this coming and jumped on it. Then Alastor fired two laser beams, one on top, and the other a fake out. Mario accidentally jumped because of the fake out, dealing 15 damage. The radio demon fired several laser beams one at a time. Mario saw this and jumped at the right moment to avoid each one. However, Alastor did it again; now the laser beams were also coming on top of Mario in a straight line. The plumber had to time his jump. When both lasers came close, Mario jumped and successfully dodged it.

Alastor finished his attacks, and it was Mario's turn. He took out the Red Shell, costing him 1 BP. The Digital Pumber materialized, and Mario kicked the Red Shell at the hologram, the ladder kicking it back. After a few more kicks, Digital Plumber kicked the Red Shell up in the air, enabling Mario to jump as well. When he reached the Red Shell, he spinned and kicked the Red Shell harder at Alastor. The shell hit the radio demon, 138 damage received.

Alastor felt the pain in his body, but he shrugged it off. "Aahh, so this is how you destroy your foes in battle?" he asked.

"Yep, and that was just the beginning. I have some more special attacks on my sleeves." Mario answered.

"Hmm hmm hmm, I can't wait to see them. But for now, you're about to be FRIED!" he yelled statistically.

Alastor summoned two big fireballs with several small ones forming a line. He motioned the fireballs to go on top of Mario and then straight at him. Mario jumped over the line of fireballs, similar to the mini-game he once played in parties. He kept jumping them until it started to speed up. As Mario kept his jumping speed with the fireballs, the flame spirits caught him off guard by slowing down, hence the plumber jumping too early and getting burned. That gave him 50 damage of burn.

"Hah hah hah, you didn't see that one coming, did you!?" Alastor smug with his sharp teeth.

"Well, keeping up with the fireballs didn't let me react in time." Mario blurted.

"Ooooohhh, is the plumber starting to get nervous? Then let me summon some enemies!" he roared.

Using his staff, he summoned three dead corpses. One had a spiked bonehead. Now, there were undead enemies in battle. Now Mario had to deal with 4 baddies in the field.

Mario pulled out the Fire Flower, costing 3 BP. The flower changed his clothes in white and red. He threw several fireballs at the dead corpses and the radio demon. After that, he unleashed bigger fireballs. The fires exploded, dealing critical damage on the dead corpses but regular damage on the radio demon.

The demon corpses formed a line; the first one tried to ram Mario, but he jumped over it. The second corpse bopped his head and went up to him, only he stopped and jumped. Mario saw this and didn't jump. The third one, however, had other plans. He tilted his body to both arms and made the plumber jump on him on the spiked bonhead. Mario quickly took out his hammer and countered the dead corpse, putting it out of battle. Only two remained on the battlefield.

Alastor summoned ten plasma orbs and waved them in the air. He lifted his staff and proceeded to illuminate them on a specific color. The red ones meant Mario had to counter them, blue ones meant jump, and purple ones were fake out. Mario took his time to memorize it until Alastor lifted a blue one and aimed at Mario. The hero jumped on time, followed by a red one, which he countered. The red plasma orb flew back at Alastor, receiving 64 damage. Mario kept up with the pace, jumping, countering, and not getting distracted. The five red orbs Mario countered and went back to Alastor dealt a total of 320 damage.

It was time for Mario to pull out a strong attack. So he pulled out Bomb Derby, costing 6 BP. Digital Plumber revealed himself again. They stepped back, and Mario threw the Bomb Derby up in the air, only for twelve of them spawned out of nowhere. Digital Plumber began to throw each one at Mario with precise timing. Mario whacked each bomb at the two dead corpses and Alastor, each sustaining 50 damage. Then a huge one appeared. Digital Plumber threw it, but Mario whacked it in the air, where it opened, and multiple missiles sprang out and unleashed a folly of explosions in the field. The dead corpses vanished, leaving Alastor by himself with 600 total damage in the process.

Alastor: 2,225 HP

The radio demon was starting to feel the struggle of the plumber's ferocious attacks. A sinner trying to stab an Overlord would be a child's play of torturing, but this was no exception.

'I never thought this human being was capable of putting his dukes on me. Makes it feel like I'm learning the ways of a mortal in defending his soul with unique powers.' He looked at Mario with a determined, confident face. 'If he has the energy to support Charlie and the rest of the staff, then there's hope for her 'rehabilitation' objective to live it up.' Then Alastor made a devilish smile. 'But that will determine if he's ready for the next sinister attacks I have at my disposal!'

"Alright, now is when I crank up the difficulty spikes! Prepare yourself!" he bellowed darkly.

Alastor raised his staff and produced five clones of himself. He created a lightning orb and gathered his clones to form a line in a random place. Then, each one made a firing pose until the real one shot the lightning orb at Mario. But the plumber had quick movements and countered the orb, flying back the radio demon, dealing 67 damage.

Before Mario could attack, Alastor quickly made three more clones. "Hah hah hah, see if you can find the real me in the crowd!" He began shuffling between the clones quickly until they all stopped.

Mario had to think of a way to find the real Alastor otherwise he'll end up dealing with a ton of enemy dodging. But then, he noticed something. The clone's staff had no dot while the other one had one. That was his chance! He proceeded to swing his hammer at the real one, dealing 249 damage.

"Waahhh, how did you know the difference!?" Alastor gasped.

"Easy, I noticed your staff has a dot eye while the clones don't." Mario smirked.

"Grrr, I'll make sure you'll never beat me in a year! Take this!" Alastor raised a horde of blood hands and gestured to them to ram Mario. Mario managed to jump a few, but one of them pulled his leg down, getting him runned over. Mario suffered 87 damage from that. He felt a little sore after that attack, but he knew what he had to do. There's no way he's giving up.

Mario pulled out the Magic Window, costing 8 BP. He threw it in the air, and the window opened, making Mario jump into it. Then, the window appeared again and out came Mario and stomped on Alastor's head. He kept doing this sixteen times, each dealing 30 damage, tallying 480 damage total.

A small bump popped out of Alastor's head, wincing the pain he felt after those stomps. The radio demon had to regain some health. A sudden idea popped out of his head as he looked at Mario.

"Say Mario, you haven't used some of your healing items at the moment…" He quickly raised his staff, letting the battle block come out of Mario's pockets and fly towards him, making the plumber weep in shock. He opened it and took out a Super Mushroom and Super Syrup. Alastor threw back the battle block at Mario, where he caught it and put it back in his pockets. He ate the mushroom and drank the syrup, restoring 50 HP and the small bump going away.

"Hmm, so this is what a Mushroom and Syrup taste like? Do you think you could share some with the rest of the staff later? I also want to put syrup on my Jambalaya." Alastor enjoined.

"Sure, when we are done here, though." Mario replied back.

The plumber got himself ready to take out Mighty Meteor. Digital Plumber rematerialized and went on the other side of the radio demon. They both took out their hammers and a large meteor appeared and was falling at Mario's side. Mario builded up some power to swing his hammer at the meteor, where it made an impact on Alastor. The meteor went up again and was now falling at Digital Plumber's side. He also builded up some power to swing his hammer right back. Both plumbers did it five times, each impact dealing 120 damage. The meteor exploded in the air and out came a Star Candy.

The radio demon was starting to lose his grip. He could barely regain himself after that special attack. But there was no way he was gonna lose here. It's time that he took drastic measures to ensure Mario doesn't get the victory.

Alastor: 879 HP

"Alright, that is IT! It was fun while it lasted...but your feeble attacks have grown tiresome. Let's CUT to the climax!" he growled furiously.

He threw his staff up in the air and transformed into a giant garden scissor. It then aimed at Mario.

"One cut out of you and it'll be the end of your career! Say GOODNIGHT!" he screamed in a demonic radio voice.

The giant garden scissor flipped backward and went straight at Mario, opening its blades and…

*SHINK*

The garden scissor made a cut sound, but Mario jumped to avoid getting sliced in half.

"HEY! Th-that's not fair! How dare you jump OVER it! Stay right there! Let me go again!" Alastor boomed in surprise.

He readied the garden scissor again and did the attack again. Only this time, he tried to fool Mario into jumping too soon. But the hero knew its tactic. He managed to jump out of the way again.

"WHAT!" Alastor cried.

"And now that you attacked me two times, that means I get to attack twice as well." said Mario.

"NO! It can't be!" the radio demon weeped in fear.

Mario pulled out the Power Bounce Badge and Zee Egg, using 24 BP. First, Mario proceeded to jump on Alastor's head six times, gaining 15 damage each. Then, for the last attack, he brought out Zee Egg, a huge pink and purple colored egg. Digital Plumber reappeared, and Mario threw the big egg on the arena and transformed into the Zeekeeper, only an illusion of some sort. Both plumbers jumped on the avian god and soared into the sky while Alastor looked up, wondering what's happening.

The Zeekeeper reaches its highest point and shoots out a Wake Orb. Then the Zeekeeper starts chasing after it, leaving Mario and Digital Plumber to commence pounding it, increasing the power of the attack. After a few poundings, both plumbers pound the Wake Orb simultaneously, and it descended at an incredible speed.

Alastor knew what was happening and braced for impact. The Wake Orb crashed on solid ground, creating a gigantic explosion, causing the radio demon to take 983 severe damage from the impact. Mario landed slowly to the ground while Digital Plumber vanished.

*BGM Ends*

The radio demon fell flat on his body; a load of coins and a big present gift containing a specific mushroom popped out.

Mario raised his left fist of victory. He managed to pass the final trial of the Overlords! Or did he…?

"Heh…heh heh…hee heh hahahahahaha…" Mario stopped himself and looked at Alastor, who was getting up slowly and laughing at himself. "Gwa hah hah hahaha…AAAHHH HAHAHAHAHAHA!"

Alastor's whole body grew larger and limbs became longer, his neck gained extra joints, and his horns grew in size. His sclera turns black while his pupils turn into the shape of radio dials. His suit and ends of his mouth also gain stitches along them, and the ends of his shoes split to form hoofed toes. Black tentacles came out from the back of his body.

"You didn't think I would surrender that easily!? Have you forgotten since the first trial!? A living being must understand the importance of survival, even when a huge threat suddenly appears in front of you! That battle was just a warm-up to me! This is my full Demon form, and soon you're about to be executed, PERMANENTLY! En Guarde!" the radio demon wailed creeply in a radio voice.

Mario didn't know how he felt; worried, scared, determined, or serious? None of that mattered because the true battle against an Overlord has officially begun! He had to endure all his might to surpass the giant demon specter if he wanted to live!

At the Hazbin Hotel residence, Cappy took the time to get to know the Hazbin Hotel staff. At first he was bewildered about them, but when Charlie told them about their hobbies, he felt calmed. So far, she told him about Mario arriving safely here with Angel and Cherri when they were outside of the Pride Ring and they were in the middle of creating a commercial for her hotel.

In a hotel room with Charlie, Angel, Vaggie, Nifty, and Cappy, the housemaid tries to stab a bug but misses, and starts stabbing the bug multiple times before Vaggie stops her.

"Stab! Stab! Stab!" she gritted.

"Alright Niffty, Niffty. Niffty! Listen up, your line is "We have the cleanest rooms", okay?" Vaggie instructed.

Nifty made a thumbs up and said, "Got it. I'm so ready for this!"

Vaggie pulled out the camera and pressed the recording button at Niffty. "And…Action!"

Upon saying action, instead of saying the line, Niffty freezes and stares blankly at the camera without a breath or blinking from the scene. Vaggie lowers the camera, looking puzzled. Charlie, Angel, and Cappy peered in, looking close up on Niffty, making a blank stare with an ominous shrinking pupil. Angel slowly backs away, already creeped out.

Vaggie turned off the camera, feeling a little queasy. "And…cut."

Niffty snaps out of herself and back to her cheerful mood. "Hehehe…so how did I do?"

"Well, the only thing you did was standing idle, not saying a single word." Vaggie spoke.

"What are you talking about? I was doing my part wasn't I?" Niffty pondered.

"*Sigh* Just say your line, that's all we need." Vaggie edified.

"OK!" Niffty responded.

"Action!" Vaggie repeated while pressing the recording button again.

Just like last time, Niffty freezes again, leaving Vaggie irritated, as Angel comes close to her face with a smug look.

"You're doing great, Vagina." Angel whispered.

Getting irritated by this, Vaggie turned off the camera, not wanting to repeat this.

"You think she's scared or paralyzed with cameras?" Cappy wondered.

"We haven't the slightest idea why she does that. Alastor never told us much about her." Charlie responded.

"And speaking of Alastor, shouldn't the maldito radio freak and Mario come back a while ago? We still need to have Mario's part as a bellhop." Vaggie asked, irritated.

"I wonder what they are up to…?" Charlie thought.

Back at the abandoned factory site, a fatal battle was taking place. Mario was fighting for his life against the giant radio demon, Alastor, in his full demon form. So far he managed to deal a few hits at the monstrosity, but he only dealt minor damage against the fiend. Alastor swatted Mario with his left arm everywhere with barriers, receiving 53 damage.

Current Data Results:

Mario: 45 HP, 105 BP

Alastor: 6641 HP

BGM: Sparkling King, Bowser & Co. Battle - Paper Mario: Sticker Star

"Aahhh yes. Now I feel the adrenaline flowing into my corpse soul!" Alastor said, as he faced down Mario. "What's the matter Mario!? Feeling a bit under the weather?"

"Other than the fact you are releasing your inner power, I am still determined to defeat you and pass this trial!" Mario barked.

"Don't get your hopes back up, plumber. 'Cause I am preparing a devastating attack that will end you for GOOD! Let's see if you can defeat me in the next FOUR turns!" he shrieked.

?: 4 turns left.

There was no time to lose. Mario had to make his way in damaging the full demon at all cost! But since dealing damage to his body wasn't enough, then it could only mean he would need to weaken his body parts, and then go for the face.

He saw the demon's bare legs, the first segments he needed to take care of. He quickly pulled out Clockout Blow, costing 15 BP. Digital Plumber rematerialized and Mario activated the watch, everything slowing down except Mario and Digital Plumber. They took out their hammers and started running around Alastor's legs at high speed. They got separated, and then Mario was first in hitting the right leg. Then came Digital Plumber, hitting the left leg. They kept doing it 8 times, where Digital Plumber swung his hammer upward for Alastor's entire body to fly up. Mario leaped into air and started hitting the radio demon on the body 4 times, only 50 damage dealt for each one. For the final swing, both plumbers went up with the radio demon and dealt a meteor attack. Upon landing, Alastor received 147 damage.

After that, Alastor got up, only for his legs to get sore and fall to his knees. He proceeded to lift his right arm and smash at Mario. The paladin successfully countered his attack, 70 damage attained. Alastor wasn't gonna let this go easily, he did the attack again, only he faked it out, causing Mario to swing too early, and his giant fist slamming on Mario, a 25 damage was hit.

Mario: 10 HP, 90 BP

Alastor: 6,224 HP

Mario was suddenly getting very weak, his health points were already reaching zero. And to make matters worse, three turns are left for the devastating attack. But then, he remembered that he obtained a specific Mushroom from the first half of the battle. Will it help though? There wasn't any time to think, he took out a Max Mushroom, restoring his whole body in good shape.

"So, you decided to restore your condition and not attack me? Don't you realize you'll meet a terrible fate if you don't finish me!?" Alastor warned.

"Say all you want, the only thing that matters is I'm winning this battle and pass your final trial of the Overlords." Mario commented.

"Such heroic nonsense!" he snarled.

He lifted the hero up with this right arm and then his black tentacles became sharp blades. Mario jumped over one, then two, and three, until the last three became faster and the last tentacle came down behind Alastor. Mario pulled out his hammer and countered the tentacle, only for the tentacle to push against the force of his hammer. Both Mario and the tentacle wrestled on who had much force. Mario was soon to lose his strength due to the power of Alastor. He looked down on his palm hand and thought of an idea. He jumped out of the way, causing the tentacle to slash on Alastor's hand. The radio demon shrieked in despair, 324 critical damage for the injury.

Now Mario has to take out the radio demon's arms, otherwise he'll use them to block his face. He took out Bomb Derby again, using 6 BP. Digital Plumber appeared again, stepped back, and Mario threw the Bomb Derby up in the air. Digital Plumber began to throw each one at Mario with precise timing. Mario whacked each bomb at Alastor's arms. Digital Plumber threw the huge one, Mario whacked it in the air, and multiple missiles sprang out and unleashed a folly of explosions at the radio demon. Alastor received a minor 150 damage for the missile blast.

Alastor's arms also got sore, and he was helpless without the arms and legs. Alastor inhaled some air and blew out phantom greed fire at Mario, blocking the attack. The superstar withstood 20 damage of burn.

"This is your last turn, knight of the white charger! Once you use it, you'll belong to me FOR ETERNITY!" he screamed demonically in radio voice.

Looks like it was now or never. Mario pulled out his last special attack, the Yoo Hoo Cannon, 12 BP used. Digital Plumper appeared next to him. Mario threw the Barrel in the air, for eight of them to appear and two barrels landing on Mario and Digital Plumber. Then, four Marios and four Digital Plumbers popped out of the barrels, letting each other know who's coming out and getting blasted. One by one, each bro blasted at Alastor's smiling face, dealing heavy, crucial damage at each strike; 777, 666, 555, 444, 333, 222, 111, and 100 insane damage. From behind the radio demon, another huge barrel was placed, which had an explosion icon. The big barrel shot out a gigantic rolling ball of Marios and Digital Plumbers, who then rolled back at Alastor and hit his face, dead again. The impact caused a whopping 2,500 critical damage!

Mario and Digital Plumber returned back, the latter disappearing. Mario looked at Alastor's stats and to his shock, it wasn't enough!

Alastor smiled wickedly at the superstar's poor triumph. "Awwww what a pity. You thought you would get the upper hand, but it seems fate had other reasons to not let you succeed. NOW! Witness the ultimate attack I've unleashed on your parade of victory! This is the end for you Super Mario, greatest hero of the Mushroom Kingdom! HAVE A NICE AFTERLIFE!"

Atomic Grim Breaker: 0 turn left

Alastor inhaled and increased his power with all his might and suddenly, he shot out a huge Breaker Beam Laser at Mario, three hits of 333 damage, making it a total of 999 damage. When the attack faded, Mario felt dizzy and instantaneously fell down on the ground, dead.

Mario: 0 HP, 84 BP

Alastor: 42 HP

Alastor laughed at this and for winning the battle. "Woo hoh hoh hahahahahahah! You gave it your best shot, but in the end, there was nothing you could've done just like the people who died in the Black Plague!" He looked down at Mario's dead body. "Once you wake up, you will come to me and be my slave FORE-". He stopped talking and noticed Mario was shining brightly when a Mushroom appeared on top of him.

The mushroom had white colored head with hearts around it. The Life Shroom exploded in sparkles and lifted Mario back up, restoring his life and obtained 10 HP. The superstar was back on his feet to finish the job!

Alastor: 42 HP

Alastor was thunderstruck and furious about what just happened. How in the Seven Rings of Hell did Mario come after the devastating attack he just unleashed a few minutes ago? What kind of sorcery is this!?

"But…HOW!? I managed to annihilate you with my Atomic Grim Breaker! You can't possibly come back to life from THAT!" Alastor weeped in terror.

"To put it simply, in my world, there are many types of mushrooms. And one of them is called a Life Shroom. When a person has one, when their HP drops to zero, they instantly come back from the dead and continue the battle. This one appeared when I defeated your regular form. I didn't want to tell you this, otherwise you'll try something to get rid of it." Mario replied.

Then Alastor also realized something. "Oh no, I used all my power to create the Atomic Grim Breaker. And I can't use any other magic attack! I'M HOPELESS!"

Mario shrugged his response. "Well you should've thought of saving all that energy until the very end. And now, this is where it all ends!" He quickly brought out Zee Egg one more time, using 20 BP. Digital Plumber reappeared one last time, and Mario threw the big egg on the arena and the Zeekeeper illusion appeared. Both plumbers jumped on the avian god and commenced the attack. The Zeekeeper reaches its highest point and shoots the Wake Orb, chasing it while Mario and Digital Plumber kept on pounding it. After a few poundings, both plumbers pound the Wake Orb simultaneously, and it descended rapidly. At this point, Alastor knew he had to admit defeat and braced for impact. The Wake Orb crashed on the ground, this time creating a gigantic supernova of light to engulf the whole area.

The battle was concluded. Mario has won the battle and passed the Overlord's 3rd/Final Trial.

Wooooo hooooo! There you have it! This is the end of the chapter! Oh man, you have no idea how much I went through this with my expertise. You might be wondering what'll happen next?
