Entry Nine

January 9, 2001

I got out of my room and sat in the library, looking over a tomb on runes, since I'm here I might as well be productive and look into these damn chains. The library is big, not as big as the one at home, but its cozy and comfortable. There are rows and rows of books, from the ceiling to the floor. Toward the back of the room, there is an alcove with a round, I say about radius of seven feet window with cushions, pillows, and fluffy throws. I sat there looking out the window, the view from the library was more of the trees and whatever wildlife decided to walk near the window, and snow. It is still a beautiful view, but that's where I spent most of my day.

I got a surprise visitor, well actually, it was more of an encounter than having an actual visit. The door to the library opened slowly and closed, I did not bother to see who came in, as I was engrossed in spying on a family of foxes. Until I heard "Mrs. Nott" that I looked up to see the golden girl. I just replied with "Mrs. Malfoy" and turned my attention back to the foxes outside the window. It was surprising for her to initiate any contact with me. She cleared her throat, without looking back at her, I asked her what she wanted. Hermonie stated she wanted to look at my chains because she was doing some research. Not thinking , stuck my leg out at her, so she can look at the chain around my ankle, at the time, I did not want to move from the spot I was sitting either. After she was done prodding around my ankle, I asked her to clean her magic residue off my chain. I laughed at her reaction and asked her if she knew how to do that. In her dignified tone she said, "Mrs. Nott, how do you erase your magic's signature. That's something no one has ever done." Bleh, I swear I hate that tone of her voice. I just told her I could and to give me the stupid pencil that was poking out of her bushy bun. I showed her the wand movement with the pencil and once she got it down, I told her to say, "ad emundandum residuum", the spell to cleanse magical residue. The expression on her face, still I don't know if I should have been offended or amused. The chain had a lavender color hue to it and went away as fast as it came. I covered my leg back with the throw, and said, "I'm not an idiot. I wasn't some bimbo chasing around Theo or Draco. I have a brain that I use on a consistent basis." She countered with, "Well then, why haven't you figured out your chain predicament?". This was not the highlight of my day, on any day I don't wish to have a conversation with Hermonie Malfoy and her patronizing tone. I rolled my eyes directly at her, and told her, "If I had the energy and the mental capacity, I would be on top of it. Right now, at this very moment and any other moment, when there are any disruptions to my magical core, you know what happens? These chains electrocute me, the pain is so intense, I can smell burnt flesh coming within me. I am probably medium rare now. That is why I haven't "figure out" my chain predicament. Do you want me to demonstrate for you?" Hermonie just huffed, turned around and stomped out the library carrying several tomes with her. She can be a cunt and half. I honestly don't see what Draco sees in her or what she sees in Draco, but they are both imbeciles, and they belong together.

I remember the first time she introduced herself to me, she still had that patronizing tone in her voice and her nose in the air.

I was walking behind Narcissa and Fenrir down the street of Diagon Alley. We made our first stop to Gringotts. Narcissa told Fenrir to go with me and look around while she did her business with the bank. Narcissa had told me she was opening an account for me and added me to their account so I wouldn't have to worry about money when I was away at Hogwarts. Fenrir and I made our way down the street when we came across a bookstore. We stood at the window of Flourish and Blotts, I looked through the window into the busy store, I wanted to get some books to occupy my time at Malfoy's.

"You know, there is a huge library at the Manor that probably has all these books there and more." Fenrir whispered.

"I'm sure, but I rather have my own." I whispered back.

"Do you have territorial issues?", Fenrir asked.

"Yes, now get out of my space." I answered.

"Who's in your space?" Fenrir exclaimed.

"Shut your trap, it's bad enough I can hear people whispering about who I am or who I might be." I whispered again.

"I'm just saying." Fenrir said loudly.

I rolled my eyes, knowing Fenrir couldn't see me. I pushed past him and made my way into the shop. I went up and down the aisles of the store, pulling tomes after tomes. I stayed clear of Fenrir because I didn't want to hear him whine. My arms were full of tomes when I turned the corner and ran right into another person. I fell back on my bottom and my tomes littered around me, my hood flew back off my head and I was facing a petite young woman with chocolate-colored eyes and bushy brown curly hair. We stared at each other for a few seconds then we both got up. I had a good head or so taller than the bushy headed girl. I motioned my hands in a circular motion and my tomes came flying back into my arms. The bushy headed girl looked on with amazement.

"Hello, I'm Hermione Granger. You are?" The bushy headed girl said with her hand extended out to shake hands.

"Hi, I'm Ash." Ash replied, feeling a bit awkward.

"You're new around here, aren't you?" Hermione Granger asked.

"Obviously." I responded.

I could sense Fenrir behind me, he took the tomes from me and put the hood back on my head and stirred me away from the Granger girl. We made our way back to the front of the shop, with all my tomes in hand. I was annoyed with Fenrir, but then I heard my name. As I concentrated on the conversation somewhere in the shop, I was eavesdropping on the Granger girl's conversation.

"I just literally ran into a girl. She used wandless magic, and she was no older than us. I wonder who she is, her name is Ash." Granger said.

"Who cares Hermione!" Exclaimed an unknown male.

"I didn't ask you to care Ronald." Hermione snapped.

"Well, you two give it a rest! I just seen young Fenrir here. What is he doing here without the Malfoys?" The second unknown male stated.

"Actually, he took the tomes she had and lead her away." Hermione replied.

"What? What did this girl look like?" The second unknown male asked.

"I don't know, like a girl. I wasn't gawking at her. She only said a few words to me and she left. She's probably still here in the shop." Hermione responded.

I stood closer to Fenrir, knowing he also heard the same conversation I just heard. I felt uneasy knowing I was purposefully being sought out. I just looked straight ahead waiting our turn. I felt someone openly staring at me, but I did not turn around to acknowledge their presents. Just as I got to the counter, I was pushed hard into the counter. I flung around and came face to face to a mess haired boy with glasses.

"Excuse you." I snapped.

"Sorry." The boy said sheepishly as he tried to get a glimpse of her under her hood.

I turned around back to the counter, as the cashier rang up the tomes. Fenrir told the man to put it on the Malfoy's account and have the tomes delivered to the manor. As we were leaving the shop, my hood and hair were yanked back, and my hood slipped off revealing my face.

"What the hell!" I shrieked.

I turned around and once again faced the messy haired boy. We stared at each other.

"Let's go love." Fenrir said as he pulled me at the elbow.

"The hell was that for?" I asked as I pulled my elbow away from Fenrir and stood up to the messy haired boy.

"I'm sorry, there was a bug on your hood." The boy replied.

"Bullshit." I seethed.

"You're not from around here, are you?" The boy asked.

"That is none of your damn concern." I uttered.

Fenrir rolled his eyes, and pulled at my elbows again and took me out of the shop. We made our way to the next-door shop, Madam Maliki's Robes for All Occasions.

"The fuck was that all about?" I asked as I pulled the hood back on.

"They wanted to see the new face in town." Fenrir said as he sighed. "Nosey fuckers."

For the next several hours we were in the shop, getting measured for robes for school and for casual wear, dress robes for dinners, and shoes. Narcissa had joined us there, approving and denying the clothing I was trying on. There were piles of clothing sitting on the counter, when the doorbells chimed. I stood there in a cream-colored sun dress, which I didn't want to wear, but Mrs. Malfoy insisted I wear it. I was looking at hats because I knew I wouldn't be able to wear the cloak again. I picked out a floppy sun hat that sort of covered my face, I could feel eyes on my back. I turned around and found the Granger girl, a red headed freckle face boy and the messy haired boy watching me.

"Take a fucking picture! It will last longer, and you all can stare at that." I announced annoyed while I browsed the rest of the hats before me.

"Hi again, we just wanted to introduce ourselves. I'm Hermione, again, this is Ronald, and Harry." The Granger girl said.

I looked them over, and turned back around, simply ignored them.

"Blimey, what is your problem? the red headed boy asked.

"You all are!" I shot at Ron. "What do you want? I'm sure you don't go around following complete strangers trying to introduce yourselves to them."

"She does have a point." Harry replied.

"Then fuck off." I pointedly said.

"You are unpleasant." Hermione retorted.

"Oh, dear me." I sarcastic replied rolling my eyes.

"Maybe you should be a little more pleasant." Hermione said as she stood up to me.

"I don't need to be pleasant to you or anyone else. So back the fuck off." I seethed as I towered over the petite witch.

Fenrir grabbed me around the waist and pulled me back into his embrace and whispered into my ear to calm the hell down. I took several deep breaths and open my eyes. The three individuals stared at me, knowing they were looking at my reddish orange glowing eyes.

"It's time to go home princess." Fenrir announced loudly as he pulled me away and out of the shop.

I wasn't a pleasant person to be around at that time. I think I was there at the Malfoys for like, I think a week or two. Draco would treat me like I was glass and Fenrir would also be overprotective and we would end up fighting, like literally get into fights, and I would end up having to heal him and say sorry. After that encounter, we went back to Malfoy Manor. I didn't get to see Theo until we were on the train back to Hogwarts. He was shy at the time, stealing glances at me, while I pretend to be reading, and stealing glances at him as well. Then he finally mustered up the courage to talk to me, that's when I realized we had somethings in common. We were in almost all the same classes, so we spend a lot of time together, studying, eating together, walking back to the dungeons together. Also because Draco was always fussing over me, he thought I was interested in Draco. I remember laughing when he finally asked me about it. At that time, we were dealing with our own mission I had to help Draco with, so I had no choice but to be around Draco, so I told Theo what we were doing, and I had no interest in Draco, he was more like a brother figure plus he was unbearable at times, and he had his deal going on with Hermonie. Which I later found out about, but who am I to judge, I remember not saying anything about it, I just looked at him like I guess, love really knows no boundaries.
