Might Tower

The skyscraper agency of the former number one hero. It's previous function was a highly fortified shelter for civilian evacuees during the Green Devil's rampage. Now that the man in charge has officially retired from the hero scene, it's essentially been turned into a new home for the Yagi family.

It is here that their blonde American housemate was at work in her room which had been outfitted with a large computer to make her designs. Melissa adjusted her glasses and wheelchaired from her desk to her bed. She checked the time and saw that it had been five hours since she left her room. She was passionate about her work, but she's never spent that much time without someinteraction with others or a break. Her isolation was somewhat her choice and somewhat her host family's choice.

Aunt Inko and Uncle Toshi were so overly protective of her to the point of it being suffocating. She didn't understand why, try as she might. The Green Devil is gone, society is being rebuilt, and she has stated multiple times that she is capable of taking care of herself. Still, she's barely allowed to do anything on her own, even cook for herself. She's a teenager! And a damn smart one at that! Izumi and Kacchan aren't much better, they spend so much time training and studying, the latter half she offered to help with, but they yell at her when she starts muttering.

Sometimes, she catches them muttering something about a "Deku". That phrase was new to her. Was it a person? Or a term they referred to her in ill will? She hoped it wasn't the latter. Regardless, she wasn't having near as much fun as she was hoping to have with the Yagi's. At least U.A. is coming up in a month. She told herself she was excited because she, Bakugo and Izumi could start their dream careers as heroes and gear specialists. But to be frank, she's mostly excited about moving into the dorms.

It may sound odd, but Melissa doesn't really feel like the Yagi's and Bakugo see her. The way they act, it's like it's for someone else. Inko and Toshi treat her like a defenseless kid who came home severely injured one day, traumatized by that image. Izumi and Katsuki turn her away like she's a painful reminder of someone or something else that they don't want to face yet. As much as she hates to admit it, Melissa doesn't really feel like part of the family.

Rei's Hospital

The white-haired lady had a pleasant smile on her face. She had gone through reading four letters, the first three from Izuku. One about him adjusting to living with other people again, and that he's taken up cooking as a new hobby. One about him feeling conflicted about going to U.A. as a student. She wrote back to him, saying that he doesn't have to be afraid. He has people who can help to make sure what happened before in middle school doesn't happen again. The next was about how living in Tartarus was. Compared to the rest of his past, that was one of his high points.

The fourth letter wasn't from Izuku, but from Hawks, Midnight and Mt Lady. Before reading, the first thing she wondered was if they ever used Hawks' feathers to write like a quil.

Dear Rei Todoroki

What the heck is your kid!? For someone who's spent more than a year without any schooling, he's hella smart!

Mt Lady

Izuku's one fast learner, and that's coming from me.

Hawks

Rei, your boy is amazing! He made a high school assessment test look like an elementary exam! I'm sure he'll do great on his entrance test.

Midnight

Strangely, Rei didn't feel as elated as she should. She had hoped and prayed for this to be the case, for Izuku to finally have a decent school life, but... 'He and Shoto will be in the same grade. I'm proud of them both, but how will they get along? I haven't seen or heard from Shoto since I snapped and hurt him. He probably hates me, not that I blame him. Regardless, I hope they can at least come to an understanding.'

knock knock*

Rei placed the letters on her table and jumped to the door. She had been informed ahead of time by Nemuri that Izuku and another were coming to visit. That news never failed to put a smile on her face.

Until she saw the grim expressions of her... son(?) and his pink and purple-haired companion. "Hi Mom." Izuku said in a hushed voice without meeting Rei's eyes. The Frost user promptly welcomed them into her room.

...

"I see." Rei said while stroking Izuku's hair. He and Kaina had just gotten through telling her about the wounds that were recently opened. In the interest of transparency, Izuku felt no remorse about losing his temper when Toshinori was brought up. He had every right to be furious at the man. He just needed some Rei time to cool down, and Kaina tagged along.

"That man isn't your father, he has no power over you. From what you told me, he still doesn't know how terrible an effect he has on you." Rei didn't want to bring it up, but she shuddered to think how Izuku's sister and the two other blondes are. Sadly, visiting hours came to an end. Izuku and Rei shared a goodbye hug, and the former walked out, feeling lighter.

Kaina was following, but something holding the back of her collar stopped her. She looked back to find Rei holding her in place. She held a stern expression with a bit of fierceness in her eyes. A mother's glare. "Look after him for me. Please." she said.

Kaina turned and fully faced her. "I promise you I will," Not just out of a sense of duty as a teacher. "Take care, ma'am." she gave a small wave before leaving. Rei went back to her bed and sat down. She had something to ponder.

'The other teachers will hopefully keep his stepfather from pushing him. But what about his mother? She could be just as bad a trigger for him, if not worse. If Yagi hasn't learned anything, what hope is there that she has?'

U.A.

Izuku was sitting silently at his desk, studying for his entrance exam to the hero course. It had been two days since Izuku got the news about his dad and beat the everloving shit out of Mirko to sate that malice. Since then, he had barely spoken a word and just studied in his room, and he would've been there for several more hours if it weren't for a bird on his balcony.

Hawks opened the sliding glass door and walked in. "I thought I'd find you here." he said. "First, it's my room. Second, you could've used the door."

"And you could use some time off the books. Get into something comfy and let's fly. We're heading to my agency, I've got a decent gym there." Izuku looked up from his study material. "I can't let people see my quirk."

"Who said anything about letting people see you?"

...

Hawks and Izuku took flight, soaring above the clouds. The latter still had some damage sustained on his gym uniform so he settled for a black tank top and baggy black shorts with a vertical white stripe on the left leg. He wouldn't normally dress so light, but it was a warm day and Hawks was taking him somewhere they would get a private workout. From their altitude, the people below looked like tiny little ants, and to those down below, they could be mistaken for regular birds. "Don't worry about getting lost, we're going straight to from here!" Hawks called to Izuku. He noticed that his fire wings were larger than the last time they went flying.

Hawks suddenly dove down, and Izuku followed. They landed on the roof of a tall building. "Welcome to my agency, kid."

...

"You lied to me." Izuku deadpanned. Hawks told him it would be a private workout. There was no chance of running into civilians on the highest gym floor of his agency. So you can imagine his surprise and slight dismay to find Mirko just getting past her warm up period.

Hawks just shrugged. Before Izuku could consider turning around, Mirko gave him her usual grin. "Surprised he didn't have to kidnap you to get you outta your room!" she laughed but Izuku knew it wasn't malicious. But he still wasn't easy. "So, ya gonna get a workout, or just keep staring at a buff, sweaty gal?"

...

Irony is hilarious. Against his better judgment, Izuku stayed, and Mirko just realized how light he dressed. Izuku was already quite toned and well developed physically, but what made his body more of an eye-catcher (and eye-candy, depends who you ask) was the multitude of scars that covered him. Jagged scars across his shins, thighs, arms, face, and especially his palms and fingers. Thanks to her earlier teasing, Mirko was the one staring at himfrom time to time during his workout.

It got worse (better) when he started breaking a sweat after a longer time than she expected. The way his skin shined with its natural fluids was something else. His sweaty, scarry, muscley body was a constant distraction. She had never been so pleased with a distraction before.

The only reason Izuku hadn't called out Mirko for staring at him was because he misunderstood the looks. The moment their eyes met, she turned away before he could. 'She's still mad at me.' he sighed inwardly. Truth be told, Mirko was one of the reasons he quarantined himself in his room the past two days. He felt guilty for how their last spar went. The way he fought full of wrath and malice, taking out his anger against someone who had done nothing wrong to him. The part of it that disgusted him most is that that's how his family was with him.

Oh, and Hawks was in between the two on the pull-up bar, completely forgotten and drowning in awkwardness.

The Wing Hero felt like he could finally breathe when Mirko left for the showers. "Just say something, dude!" he groaned, prompting Izuku to put down the 13kg dumbells he was curling. "I know you're not feeling great because of how you flipped out on her, but she's the number 5 hero. Plus, she kinda volunteered to be your sparring partner, so you're far from being like your family."

Izuku didn't respond and just wiped himself off with his sweat rag. Hawks sighed. "If it bothers you that much, just talk to her. Then at least, I don't have to suffer this crushing awkwardness!" Izuku rolled his eyes and walked away. "I'm hitting the showers."

...

The sound of water hitting tiles and the vision-obscuring steam filled the ladies' shower. Mirko was finishing her lukewarm shower, lukewarm because she really needed a cooldown. Because apparently, Izuku had decided to go from a devil of destruction to a devil of seduction, even if he doesn't know it. Mirko dried herself off with her towel and wrapped it around herself and left the shower.

"..."

"..."

'Fuck me.'

Mirko came to a halt as the path to the showers split between the gender separated showers, directly in front of Izuku. Both had their ripped bodies wrapped in only their towels. The toned pair stared into each other, neither saying anything. For Mirko, she felt like another shower was in order. She had an unobstructed view of Izuku's rock-hard abs, his chiseled chest and his badass scars. Sweat still glazed the surface of his masculine body. Dammit, who wouldn't want run their tongue all over him? Straight men would question their preferences if they saw him!

"...Sorry." Izuku started, snapping Mirko out of her trance. She watched the boy's eyes avoid her and him bring a hand behind his fluffy dual-colored hair. "Our last session, after Nagant told us what Yagi said. I went overboard, I apolo- hngh!?" Izuku's apology was interrupted by a fist striking his flawless abs.

Mirko would've commented on how sturdy he was, but now wasn't the time for that. "Who the hell do you think you're talking to, huh!?" she barked, catching Izuku off guard. "You think you're little hissy fit was something that scared me or some shit? Boy, someone's full of himself! Save that apology crap for your classmates who would actually want it!"

Izuku was at a loss for words, he doubts he'll ever understand the Rabbit hero. The dark-skinned woman placed her hand on his soft locks, which Izuku was surprised by. "But if it's really eatin ya up inside, I'm happy to beat the hell outta you next time!" Next time. For some reason, Izuku smiled at that, though only barely. "I'll hold you to that." With that, he made it to the shower, feeling refreshed before the water even touched him.

...

It was a mundane day for the dominatrix. Midnight had been going through the lesson plans for new students, dorm assigning and a new topic revolving around the students that had already earned their provisional licenses. That last one she needed to discuss with Izuku, whose room she was en route to. 'Rumi and Izuku aren't going to be too thrilled about this, and it means we'll essentially have to hide him in the dorms.'

"H-Hah~"

Midnight's train of thought was derailed by a sensual moan. She's heard thousands of those kinds of moans, but the voice that carried it... It came from Izuku's room!

"D-Deeper..."

That was definitely Izuku's voice! Midnight pressed her ear to his door and listened intently. The stoic and detached Izuku making those kinds of sounds!? 'How does he already have a girl in his room before classes have even started!?' Midnight screamed in her head.

"Kaina~"

'Nagant!? What in the fuck!? Oh that's it!' Without a second thought, Midnight burst into the room. "What are you..." she stopped when she saw what the situation really was.

Izuku was sitting against his bed on the floor, Kaina was sitting on the edge of his bed with her legs on either side of Izuku. She had her fingers deep in Izuku's soft, curly locks, the boy looking very relaxed before she barged in. "...I have questions." Midnight said.

Earlier, Izuku noticed that Kaina let her hair grow out to reach between her shoulder blades. It looked even better when she undid her ponytail, which he let her know. Kaina responded by asking how Izuku's hair is so fluffy and soft-looking without any conditioner or shampoo. That led to him offering her to feel it. It was softer than she imagined. As it turns out, Izuku's soft spot is his hair. Kaina didn't mind giving him a scalp massage on the condition he would return the favor.

"...So you two have a hair kink?" Midnight asked. "Shut up." the former jail birds snapped.

...

Izuku held out his hands in front of him and expelled a wave of green flames from both. "12 meters." Aizawa said next to him. It's been two weeks since he and Mirko started training and sparring together regularly. It was time to see if that made any improvements to not just his mental state, but his quirk as well. When Izuku first put the inhibitor gauntlets on, his max range was only ten meters. "Even if I'm stuck with 10% for the time being, I can still compete with the other students."

"That reminds me," Aizawa asked. "How do you intend to hide your power. There aren't a lot of people with green flames."

"I'm not just a powerhouse, I can control it, too." Izuku said. He lowered himself into a crouch and jumped to a height comparable to Mirko. There was a burn mark on the ground he jumped from, but Aizawa caught no signs of green fire. When Izuku landed, he threw several punches at the air. Small sounds of combustion were heard, but almost no sparks were seen. "I'll go with an Ignition quirk, something that'll just meagerly enhance my movements."

Aizawa shrugged. "That'll do, I suppose." Suddenly, Aizawa's watch beeped, alerting both of them. "You should head back to the dorm, your seniors are back." Izuku nodded and did as he was told.

Back at the teacher's dorm building, Izuku could see multiple hero students in their second and third year. They, and other hero students across the country, were in the streets to try and fill the gaps left by the pros that quit. Restoration type heroes like Cementoss, and sometimes Mt Lady had these kids to thank for patrolling in their stead. But this meant that they often spent their free time roaming the campus or in their dorms. Because of this, Izuku had to be careful how often he left his room. There were no first years around yet, so his presence alone would raise questions.

Izuku noticed the third years coming, and went back inside. Their dorm was the closest to the teacher's. Before he left, his eyes caught one particular student. A girl in a blue and green bodysuit and with very long blue hair. 'Ryukyu's disciple.' Besides Rei, she's the only one who can immediately identify Izuku as the Green Devil. She saw his face the day he was taken in. 'She's the last person I can let see me.'
