Pokemon: The Journey of Manji

15. Gibson

The Flooded Valley

Brad then woke up the next day and told Scott his plan. Brad said "Hey I am planning on traveling across the flooded valley. I know that is no the safest route because of the debris that could be in the water that is why I am telling you. I am planning on traveling far to the north of the entrance to Gibson Town. I am going to ride the current to the entrance. I thought I would let you know. Call the Scott of Gibson and tell him to expect me tonight. Then if do not arrive a rescue team will come and save me in time." Scott said 'I think that is a wise plan. I wish I could convince you to fly over, but I know you want to see the damage that was done in the fight. Hey a couple of refugees want someone to go check on their houses would you mind stopping by this district to see if their stuff is still their. If the houses are still standing. I mean it is probably a told loss but could you check for them?" Brad responded "Sure I will check on the for them."

Now Brad made it to the shore of the flooded valley Brad got on the back of his Lapras. Then they rode out to the valley. It was a swift current that was taking Brad to the south. He had walked a long distance north to compensate for this. He rode in a diagonal direction to get to the shore of the valley in Gibson. Now it was spacious on the back of Lapras but Brad had to be ever vigilante. Now there was a tree starting to come towards them. Lapras froze the tree, and rode on top of it. It was clear that the team was going to be fine riding in the valley.

Now Brad was riding through the valley when he saw five Tentacool and three Tentacruel. They were fighting with six Gyardos. Lapras started the battle with a thunderbolt at the Gyardos. It took three Gyardos but the Tentacruel started to attack. Lapras froze all of the Tentacool. This made the Tentacruel very angry at Brad and they shot a poison sting right at Lapras and Brad. The three Gyardos all ganged up and attacked a Tentacruel and used dragon rage. Then Lapras used psychic on another Tentacruel. It lifted the Tentacruel out of the water and used multiple psychic blast on the Tentacruel. The last Tentacruel was taken out by a three way dragon rage from the Gyardos. They started to attack Lapras right after they defeated the Tentacruel. Gyardos used hyper beam Lapras used the current to dodge the attack. Lapras sent a thunderbolt attack back to that Gyardos. That Gyardos was knocked out the final two used dragon rage on Lapras but this did little to damage Gyardos. Lapras froze one of the Gyardos in its place with ice beam attack. The last one was defeated with a quick zap of a thunderbolt. Brad took care of the turf war that had began to happen in the flooded valley.

Now Bradley went a little bit farther and saw the houses that Scott told him to go visit. He realized just how much devastation actually happened. He felt overwhelmed by seeing just the roofs of the houses. He thought about all the damage was done by The Bounty Hunter Squad with growth serum. He thought about how this was the last place that Kimber fought with them. He was sad because for the devastation. It hurt him to realize that this was his fault because he did not stop it. Brad felt like he had failed this valley, and had failed Kimber because of the awesome damage that had happened. He was overwhelmed and he cried because he did not know what else he could do. He swore there again that Barnabas would pay for the evil that he had done in Manji Region. Brad was going to get vengeance for the death of Kimber, and all of the other damage that Barnabas had created.

Brad then headed towards Gibson. It had been a eventful day and Brad wanted nothing more than to sleep in the Trainer Club. That is when a Pokémon would not let Brad pass. It was a Seaking. The Seaking did not look very happy with Brad. That is when Lapras used thunderbolt on Seaking. Seaking then rammed into Lapras with a horn attack. That is when Brad was knocked off Lapras. Brad splashed in the water. Seaking did not hesitate it went directly for the heart with a horn attack. Then Brad saw it a Goldeen without a horn. Then another one floated right by him again. Then Lapras used its horn to throw Brad back on its back, and Brad started to look over the wet horizon to see which way the poachers had went. That did not stop the Seaking though. Seaking relentlessly attacked Brad and Lapras. Then Lapras used psychic to raise Seaking out of water. It was inhumane but the only way to get it to stop attacking. Then Lapras shocked the Seaking into submission. The Seaking finally gave up the fight by trying to give Brad its horn. Brad said "That is okay Seaking. I do not want your horn I just need to know where the poachers went." Seaking pointed to the shore nearest to Gibson. Then Brad rode to the shore and saw the poachers.

"Oh it is my lucky day two unexpecting Bounty Hunter Squad members we are about to have a little discussion." Said Brad. Then one grunt threw out a Politoed. That is when Brad sent out Raichu and shocked the Politoed into submission with one thunderbolt. Then the other grunt used Meganium, and Brad sent out his Charizard that used fire blast to defeat Meganium. The first grunt sent out his Quagsire. Brad then used Venasaur and with one swipe of vine whip Quagsire was defeated. Then the second grunt used Ampharos. Brad used his Marowak and with one boomerang the Ampharos had fainted. Then the first grunt used Natu. Brad used his Raichu again that relentlessly called down a thunder attack to defeat Natu. Then last Pokémon that they had was Houndoom. Brad the called out his Hitmonchan and used one sky uppercut to defeat it.

"Now if we are done with all of that. I will start asking questions. Where is Barnabas? He will stand trial for what he has done." Said Brad. The second grunt said "we don't know he does not tell us his missions. We seriously do not know. We were just supposed to get the Goldeen horns." Brad said "Where is your base where can I find Barnabas?" The grunts were silent. It was clear to Brad that they really did not know anything. He let them go and Brad went to the Trainer Club in Gibson to rest.

Barnabas Returns

Now Brad's day started off with a bang. Which in this since was quite literal because Electrode were exploding In the streets attacking people. Brad used his Rhydon to start clearing the streets of the exploding Electrode. Rhydon started to knock the Electrode to a clearer area than they were going to explode in originally. Many times, Rhydon was only getting there a second before the Electrode exploded. Now a very important sets of buildings had a massive thirty Electrode. They were all meant to explode at the same time. They were all going to make the two towers fall down killing everyone in the towers. Now Rhydon took out ten of them with one blitz of bulldoze on the electrode. That is when Michael swooped down and Charizard blew a massive flamethrower all over another ten Electrode. Then Hayden had Marowak hit the final ten with boomerang. They had saved a very important part of Gibson infrastructure and saved all of the people. Then Brad saw the Bounty Hunter Squad grunt that was giving the orders. Rhydon put his horn under the armpit of the grunt and pinned him to the wall. "Where is Barnabas? I am going to get my revenge." Siad Brad. The grunt replied "I do not know I am on the tower mission. Obviously, I failed. Please do not kill me." Brad responded "Of course buddy. We will not kill you. Even though you really did not care what happened to the people in the two towers." Then Brad sent out Charizard and it took the grunt back to the Trainer Club to be detained.

Then Brad saw him the purple top hat with a purple suit. It was Barnabas. "Finally, I get to see you! I am going to get my revenge for what you did at that volcano. I am going to get revenge for her life." Barnabas laughed "If only you would young Brad. I am going to battle you like a civilized person. You do not stand a chance. I think that you should surrender to me this instant. Then your friends will not have to go through the pain of losing another friend."

That is when Barnabas threw out his Typhlosion. The Typhlosion blew fire from its back, and threw a flamethrower through the air with pride. Typhlosion started the battle with lava plume. "Just reminding you how I killed your little friend. I regret nothing." Said Barnabas. Then Rhydon came barreling in with a bulldoze attack. This cracked the back of Typhlosion and came with the sound of a great hit. Typhlosion was still up and the two Pokémon went and attacked with bulldoze and flame wheel respectively. Rhydon won this interaction as well. Then Rhydon used stone edge to stop Typhlosion while it was trying to do a flame wheel. This knocked out the Typhlosion.

Then Barnabas sent out his Meganium. That is when Charizard had just gotten back to Brad. The Charizard used fire blast on the Meganium. The Meganium used sunny day to speed up it solar beam. Charizard used this to its advantage first. Charizard hit again with another fire blast. Then Meganium shot a massive solar beam at Charizard, but it was not competition for Charizard's flamethrower attack. Barnabas made a grave mistake because the sunny day only powered Charizard up even more. Then Charizard grabbed Meganium by the neck and started to fly up while using flamethrower to get a massive burn damage on Meganium. Then Charizard threw Meganium to the ground. Meganium weakly got up from this all-out assault on its life. Then a pillar of fire cam straight towards it in a. massive fire blast to defeat the Meganium. Barnabas cursed as one of his aces went down.

Then Barnabas used his Feraligatr. Now Brad used his Poliwrath to fight the Feraligatr. Poliwrath started of with putting Feraligatr into a submission attack. Feraligatr's head was down on the ground, and Poliwrath's knee was in its back. Then Feraligatr leaned into the attack and got out of the submission. Feraligatr used a hefty crunch attack to counter another submission. This left Feraligatr open to Poliwrath's dynamic punch. Poliwrath landed three Dynamic punches before Feraligatr could respond. Now Feraligatr looked like it was going to fall over because of the confusion. Then Poliwrath used a new move strength to pick up Feraligatr over its head. Then Poliwrath threw Feraligatr to the ground and repeated the process multiple times over before Feraligatr was not confused. Feraligatr then got close to Poliwrath and used multiple slash attacks. For every slash attack though Poliwrath got a counterattack. Feraligatr got another crunch attack on Poliwrath. Poliwrath used this to its advantage and froze Feraligatr with a ice punch. Barnabas almost fell backwards he was swearing and screaming so much. He could not seem to beat Brad. That is when Barnabas called out his Magmar. The Magmar used smokescreen, and Barnabas and his Pokémon were gone.

"UGH I almost had him. I thought that I was going to finally get revenge for her. I thought that I would finally but an end to the reign of terror that he has caused all through out Manji. I guess I will get him next time. He seems to have a talent for getting into even more trouble." Said Brad. Then a mysterious figure showed up. "vengeance is not always the way that we ought to go. Sometimes we have to forgive." Said a man who was dressed like Golbat for some reason. "Forgiveness or not I have to put that man away. He has caused way to much harm to the people of Manji. I have to make sure that no one ever suffers like I suffer." The Golbat man laughed "You cannot guarantee that no one is ever going to suffer like you. You cannot defeat every man like him." Then Brad said "I can sure try."

Time Moves On

Now the next day Brad went to the bulletin board to see if anything was suspicious. Brad was all out looking for Barnabas now and wanted to enact his revenge. Now Brad saw something that seemed very weird. Every person in one district of the city of Gibson had nightmares, but none of them woke up in the middle of the night. Brad decided that this might be some of the shenanigans that had Barnabas's name written all over it. So, Brad took the job and started to investigate by asking Scott if he knew anything. Scott said this "Look Brad people are not exactly supposed to know about this, but I will tell you since you are looking for Barnabas. The city has been experimenting on that district. They have a machine that has been amplifying the hypnosis of Pokémon to force everyone to go to sleep. If you did not know we have a few creeps running around Gibson City. Fortunately for us we have this guy that runs around in a Golbat suit and fights the rather weird villains of this town. Well, we said that if we can make everyone in the town fall asleep. Well then, the villains would not attack anymore. At least that is what we are hoping. Try the top room of the north tower in the Dual Towers. That is where the machine should be. That is what they told me when they warned the city leaders about it." Brad said "Thanks Scott. You were really helpful. Maybee you should not forcefully put people to sleep but to each their own. I guess."

Then Brad went to the North Tower of the Dual Towers. "Uh sir you cannot come in here. It is a highly restricted area." Said the Guard. "I know about the sleep machine. I think that it might be a little excessive way to fight crime, but I understand why it must be used. Now show me the machine last night it gave the people of this district nightmares." Said Brad. The guard responded "Oh it did? I was on flight duty last night you should have seen it the district was completely still. No one was even moving. It was majestic. Now a lot of people were asleep on the streets because of the hypnosis beam. Maybe you should watch it tonight and see of you see anyone use it wrongly. Or maybe even someone is using the hypnosis machine wrongly on purpose to give night mares." Brad said "What is the odds of the though?" The guard responded "You never know around Gibson. Sometime some weird things happen around here. You have heard of our myriad of villains. There is no telling if this is your… what did you call him. Barnabas." Brad said "I know that it is Barnabas this has him written all over it. I think that I am going to finally be able to get my revenge for what he did to Kimber." The guard responded with "Do not get your hopes up Brad. I know that it seems so certain but it could be anything from that to a malfunction."

Now Brad stayed at the machine all night just watching the operator run the machine. Then out of the shadow of the darkness a man arose. "Tik Tok goes the clock. One more moment near my death than I was." The man was wearing a black coat and held a pocket watch out. Then the man used a Hypno to knock out the man running the machine. Then a very fat Gengar came out of his Pokeball and started to suck all the dreams with machine. Then it gave nightmares to all the people also using the machine. Then Brad was noticed by the man. "What are you doing here boy. Do you want to make your time from here to that shuffling of this life much shorter? Is that why you are go around and playing the hero? Do you want to see your friend again? I saw it on the news that she had died. I do my best to know what you probably know all to well. It is that one day we are all going to die. I want to remind the masses that we are all going to come to an end. We never know how much time we have. Just look at your friend. She could have live for a hundred more years. Not that it was all at likely that would have happened. I am here to remind them all that we should live every day like our last. I remind Gibson that death is certain.

Then a hero dressed in blue came and hit the man in the black cloak. "My old nemesis the Clock Master!" The Clock Master "My favorite Gibson hero. I am shocked that your clock has not stopped yet. Golbat Man you do things that defy the odds every single day. Even you will be called to the great mystery one day." Golbat Man said "Yes but today is not that day!" While Golbat Man punched the Clock Master until he could get a pair of handcuffs on him. Brad said "Darn that was not Barnabas but I felt so sure that I was going to get my revenge today." Golbat Man said "You still are fighting crime to catch that man that killed your friends. I have to ask if there is any other motive. Are you trying to be my side kick? I already have a side kick by the way. I guess I could always have another side kick." Brad laughed "No I am not trying to be your side kick. I just want to get the guy that killed my friend. I just thought that it was him. I wanted to fight evil were ever it is started" Golbat Man said "Well that is how I started dressing up as a Golbat and fighting crime. There is just so much crime in this city. I have to stand as a beacon of hope. Brad responded with "I am just so tired of fighting evil. I defeated these crazy people that wanted the legendary Pokémon to control the world. Then the Bounty Hunter Squad comes up. I am just tired of defeating the evil in this world." Then Golbat Man said "I can understand that it is hard to stop evil. We have to keep fighting no matter what because the world is better without villains like the Clock Master."

Stubborn as a Tauros

While Brad was about to go to bed at the Trainer Club a horde of Tauros started to attack Gibson. Brad said that this was definitely Barnabas. This was the kind of attacks that always happened when he was around. People were getting pinned against the wall, and the Tauros were causing all out chaos. Now the trainers made it hard for the Tauros to cause chaos. The trainers used moves like stone edger to cause barricades to pop out of the ground. The Tauros were stubborn to keep fighting the population of Gibson. The Tauros were taking things from the jewelry stores that they smashed through. The electronic stores were broken into and this caused a rush on the stores of looters. Some cars were totaled because of the rampaging of the six Tauros. The entire street was a havoc nightmare for anyone that was brave enough to enter it. One Tauros took a running lead and tore down the statue of a hero of Gibson. It was later found out that this man was the one that got Gibson to be the first town to truly industrialize in Manji. Something that some considered a bad move. Now the Tauros had declared about five blocks of the city to disaster.

That is when Brad saw him. A man with leather pants and no shirt. He rode a Tauros on the neck. It looked like the man had a Tauros head growing from the hip, and a Tauros body. That or that a Tauros grew a person on its neck. "I declare that I will get my way. I do not care who I have to hurt to get power in this city. I want to rule this town and all of Manji." Said Tauros Man. He was collecting all of the valuables that his Pokémon had claimed. "I will be the wealthiest man in Manji if this keeps up. I am going to succeed in all of life." Then Brad threw out his Machamp and grabbed the Tauros by the horns. Then Machamp threw the other Tauros around. It was quick before the Tauros were all on the ground that Machamp pilled up. Then the two were at a standoff. Machamp versus Tauros Man. The Tauros man started to charge at Machamp. It landed the Zen Headbutt right on the chest. Then the Tauros Man threw Machamp on the back of the Tauros and they began to punch each other. "I fight with fist this Pokémon is going down." Siad Tauros Man. Then Machamp clinched its legs and fell off the Tauros. This made the Tauros the man fell off as well. They then started to hold the man down until they could get handcuffs on the man. "Curse you! I was so close that I could taste the victory of stealing all of the jewels and Pokémon. I will never rule the Manji region."

The last Tauros was the one that the man was riding. The last Tauros was till rampaging, and it had just gotten a small child in its sight. The Tauros started to gallop towards the kid with a fit of anger. Then a boy that could be no older than eight swooped in. The boy was wearing a brown suit that looked like a Pidgey, and big metallic wings. The boy used his wings to stop the Tauros for charging at the littler kid. "I am the Pidgey. I am going to fight evil with my mentor the Golbat Man." Said the Pidgey. Then the Pidgey did a flip and threw the Tauros to the ground with the wind from the wings. "You are Brad. The Golbat Man has told me about you. Are you going to keep fighting crime with us?" Brad laughs "It seems that you are all trying to recruit me to your causes, aren't you? No, I am not going to be his sidekick. I am just going for Barnabas. That had his name written all over it. Well, I guess I said that last time as well though. What I really need is to figure out where Bounty Hunter Squad is going to attack. Usually, the have a ginormous Pokémon attacking the city. Really wondering why he has not pulled that stunt in a while." The Pidgey said "Giant Pokémon that you fight? Your life makes no sense." Brad laughs and says "Well at least my mentor does not go around dressed as a Golbat. You can let him know that I made fun of him. I got to get some rest before I do though. If he attacked right now I guarantee that he would slip right through my fingers." The Pidgey said "No doubt that he would get through your flimsy hands, but never my incredible wings." Brad said "Hey kid keep fighting the good fight and tell that hero dad of yours to keep in touch. I might need him to find the guy that I am looking for." The Pidgey then replied "The Golbat Man and our associates will be in touch with you Brad." Brad then looked very tired but even more confused. Like he wanted to go to bed but had to hear about the latest piece of gossip. "You mean that there are more you tight wearers around here? I mean I get it I fight crime like that to, but there are more of you." The Pidgey said "Oh yes the Scyther, the Mewtwo, the Charizard, the Lickitung," and on and on he went. Finally he listed them all and Brad got to go to sleep at the Trainer Club.

The Persian Thief

Brad again looked for anything that could possibly be Barnabas. After days of attacks, and random villains from the town of Gibson he was eager to take down Barnabas. Then he saw a note about a heist that was supposed to happen at the museum that night. Brad though that it was odd that the burglar would leave their card before it happened. Why give away when you are attacking. Then Brad read further, and the person even said that they were the Persian Thief. Now this person seemed like a weird character. The person had thrown a special Pokémon card that they had created into the museum. They had already infiltrated the museum. Probably by buying at ticket and put their business card every where in the museum. The card was found in the bathroom, in the hallways near the art. The most impressive was that the Persian Thief got the card all the way on top of a Aerodactyl fossil what was hanging twenty feet up. Brad was sure that this was not Barnabas because why would he do something like this. The problem was Brad was very intrigued about what this Persian Thief actually was like. Brad decided that he could do some good today instead of trying to capture Barnabas today. Seeing that he was not exactly sure that Barnabas was still in town. So Brad decided to head off to the museum to help with the robbery that was supposed to happen tonight.

Then Brad got to the museum. The owner said "Thank you my name is Nicholas. I am the owner of this fine museum. We still do not know what she is planning to steal. She usually goes after the most expensive items." Then Brad said "How do we know that the burglar is a she? How do we know what she usually goes for?" Then Nicholas said "Well she ahs hit here before. She took my giant diamond last time. I think that she is going for the equally as big shining pearl. She never really seems to go for the more historic items. She probably could not get that much for them on the black market since they are so niche. We should defend the shining pearl. It is what she is probably going for. Now we have to make preparations. OH something that you really need to know is that if Golbat Man shows up do not expect him to do anything. He has a frightful crush on the Persian Thief. That is when she got my diamond last time." Brad then gave Nicholas a perplexed look. "Then Brad said "Wait you have a Persian Thief. The Persian Thief was flirted her way to get the only superhero to help her. Now the Golbat Man and his child army will not stop her because he likes her. Also none of this is considered weird in Gibson right?" Nicholas said "What do you mean? Do the other cities of Manji not have superheroes fighting the villains in their cities. I believe I have heard that the other cities were getting attacked by giant monsters. Something about heroes coming to save them from the giant Pokémon." Brad rolled his eyes, and said "Well I guess you have got a point. That was pretty weird. I guess I should have given you, my credentials. I am the Flying Gunner in those stories." Nicholas laughed and said, "And you think that Gibson is weird."

Now in the middle of the night Brad and Nicolas were watching the cameras. It was lady in a full light brown suit with on jewel on her head. She landed right next to the shining pearl. Then Brad sprinted straight towards the shining diamond, and tried to catch the Persian Thief. Then Brad was hit with bushel full of vines. Brad was trapped. "You are not my cute little Golbat Man why did I even steal this pearl if he was not going to show up. I definitely let the alarms go off. What he is waiting for. I love that man but sometimes he is very stupid." Said the Persian Thief. Brad was trapped with the vines an barely reached his Pokémon that got his Poliwrath out. The Pokémon wrapped the arm of Poliwrath in vines. Then Poliwrath threw his arm back revealing a Bellsprout. When Bellsprout got close Poliwrath landed a ice punch that knocked out the Bellsprout. It was clear that Brad was going to have to take out the Persian Thief's tools to defeat her. Then an Eevee ran up and used quick attack on Poliwrath. Now Eevee was not fast enough and Poliwrath used Dynamic Punch. "My little boy you are some battler. I think that you might even beat me if I was trying. I am just waiting for my love to come help me." Said the Persian Thief. Then they were in a room full of priceless art. The Persian Thief used Rapidash, and said "I know that my love will see this. You cannot use your water attacks in this room of priceless art. I have you defeated because I do not care." Then Poliwrath grabbed Rapidash by the horn, and the back leg in a submission attack. "I will not let you destroy the art either Persian Thief." Said Brad. Then The Rapidash pushed up and stood with Poliwrath still on it back and started to shake. Then Poliwrath flipped over and used a very weak water gun, and the Rapidash fainted. Then Poliwrath grabbed the Persian Thief, but she slipped out and ran into another hallway. Letting her Seaking fight the battle. Brad called back Poliwrath and used Raichu. Then Raichu got hit immediately with a Megahorn attack. Then a horn attack. This was a very swift Seaking. Then Raichu kept backing up until it was on a wall. Then Raichu used its tail to catch the horn of Seaking. Then Raichu used thunder to knock out the Seaking. "So much for exit on the water. I hope my love comes soon. You will no doubt catch me." Then Brad called back Raichu and sent out his Primeape. The Primeape's arm was covered in vines, but when Primeape tried to pull them towards it Primeape fell forward. It started to run and then punted a Tangela with low kick. The attack that freed its arms. Then Primeape got a scary look in tis eyes. Tangela wrapped up it arms again, but Primeape ripped it off in a second. Then Primeape pounded Tangela into the ground with multiple attacks from outrage. Then the Persian Thief called out her final Pokémon Persian. "It seems like I am stuck between the rock and a hard place. I just wanted to see my love tonight."

The Persian was liber and ready to go multiple rounds with whoever Brad had sent out. Brad called back Primeape because it was suffering from confusion. Brad used his Dodrio who brought for its great speed. Persian started the battle with a slash attack. Before the Persian could retreat Dodrio met it with a drill peck attack. Then Persian shot a pay day attack on Dodrio and it was stunned for a second which gave Persian room to used play rough. Dodrio was weak but it started to use swords dance. After three swords dance moves Dodrio was powered up. Persian went in for a slash attack on the middle head, but it dropped while the other two used drill peck on the belly. That is when Persian fell and was knocked out. "I guess you have won the battle but you have not beaten me. I still have these." Said the Persian Thief. She them used her long tail to hook into a pipe that was very high in the air, and started going up. At that moment Golbat Man swooped in and grabbed her. "I got you now Persian Thief." Screamed Golbat Man. That is when the Persian Thief kissed Golbat Man. Golbat Man took the Persian Thief to the third floor, and allowed her to get away. Then Golbat Man started to attack Brad. Brad sent out Poliwrath and used Ice punch on Golbat Man's Golbat. Then Poliwrath put Golbat Man into a submission. That is when Dodrio started to walk back in the room with the Persian Thief in its mouth. It was quick enough to catch the thief. Later she was sent to jail.

"Thank you for not ratting me out to the cops. It was clear that Persian Thief was using something in her lipstick to attract me. It made me want to fight you." Brad responded, "I get that women make us do crazy things." Golbat Man looked at this ten-year-old questioning how Brad knows what women will make men do. "Uh I do not think that it is like that. I think that there is a drug that made me attracted to her and hate her enemies. So, you are still fighting crime to find this Barnabas guy. Well, it must mean a lot to you. Well, we still do not have any information on this guy. I have been getting my sidekicks to run reconnaissance for me. I will find him for you. We are going to take this guy down. "Now you said something about men doing crazy things for women. Let me guess you really like that girl. You imagined a life with her. Am I right? I had a girl like that but it did not work out. I also lost one of my sidekicks once. Grief is a hard thing to get over. I want to help you!" Brad said "Thank you for the help. I appreciate all that you have done for me. I have one question why do you have so many sidekicks?" Golbat Man started to laugh "Well they are mostly my kids, my kids friends that need help, some under privileged youth that I adopted, you know I teach them to be heroes in a bad world. They all live in my mansion with me. I guess I should not have told you that I live in a mansion, but who cares you are also a superhero. Isn't that right Flying Gunner? You really should have only one Pokémon it makes you sound a lot cooler." They both laughed and Brad went to the Trainer Club for a well-deserved rest.

A Good Night for Vengeance

Brad was very tired from staying up all night. He slept all day, and well into the night. That is when a kid in Zubat costume broke into his room. The boy woke up Brad. "We have found him," said the kid. Brad said in a tired stupor "What are you talking about?" The Zubat kid said 'We have found Barnabas. If you want to catch him, we need to go now. Get dressed we can talk in the car." Brad said, "Wait you can drive?" The Zubat Kid said "No of course not. I can use the automatic car that drives itself." Brad said, "Oh yeah of course that makes way more sense."

Then while they were in the car the Zubat kid started to explain the plan. Now Barnabas had taken over a building in south Gibson. They know that it is him because the saw him on the roof to the building. When they tried to get in the building they were thrown out by the trainers. There are five levels of trainers, and the building does not have a elevator. That means that youa re going to have to battle through five levels of trainers to get to Barnabas. It seems this is what is left from the Bounty hunter Squad in Manji. They still have a presence in Mersonia but not in Manji. They are all in that one building. "We would join you, but this seems like a personal vendetta. We are going to let you work this out. If you seem to get into any trouble, we will be there to get you out and grab Barnabas. Trust me there is enough of us to take on some punks. They really just threw me out of the building. I told Golbat Man, and he told me to get you immediately. Well, we are here. Good luck and take him down for Kimber."

Brad used Blastoise to bust open the doors. Brad screamed "Barnabas! I am here for you." Then the lower-level grunts seemed terrified with what they had just gotten into. Twenty-five Sentret all jumped on attacking Blastoise. Blastoise immediately went into a withdraw attack. Then Blastoise started to turn with hydro pump, and it was defeating one Sentret at a time. Then Brad sent out Venasaur as well and Venasaur would catch the Sentret with vine whip. These two were not even breaking a sweat with the work out of beating the Sentret. Now there was twenty more Sentret. Then Blastoise did rain dance. Which made hydro pump even more powerful. That made the solar beam that Venasaur was trying to set up though almost impossible. The Sentret tried to scratch at Venasaur while it was charging attack. Blastoise would get in their way to protect its ally. Then Blastoise used surf towards one of the groups of Sentret. Which took out five Sentret in the size of tsunami. That left fifteen Sentret to defeat before they could progress. The solar beam was still charging, and Venasaur stood there without a way to defend itself. Then Michael appeared "Hey you cannot get to Barnabas all the way down here. Then used his Charizard to use sunny day. "Hey sorry Blastoise but I need to power up my fire attacks." That instant Venasaur blew its load of a solar beam attack on seven of the Sentret. That left eight Sentret before Brad could progress. Then Michael used fire blast and got the rest of the Pokémon. "Hey Brad we have decided that we want you to be the one to take on Barnabas. You were the one to fight Barnabas. You were the most effected by the death of Kimber. She was all of our friend, but you are going to take that guy out for all of us. Got it?" said Michael. Brad nodded and said, "I am going to get him for all of us." Then the Bounty Hunter Squad started to throw out another hoard of Pokémon. They all throw out Sunkern. Blastoise froze five of the Sunkern before the grunts could even get an order out. Then the Sunkern all pointed solar beam at Blastoise it came out fast because of the sunny day, but Blastoise used withdraw, and Venasaur leaped in front of the attack. Venasaur used solar beam right back at them. Ten of the Sunkern were knocked out. There were ten Sunkern left, and Michael's Charizard used fire blast to beat the last of the Sunkern. Brad retreated to the stairs and got to the next floor.

Then there were three grunts on the next floor. The three used Chikorita, Cyndaquil and Totodile. Then Brad used his Hitmonchan to fight the three Pokémon. Then Totodile ran towards Hitmonchan and bit his hand. This hurt Hitmonchan, but Chikorita started to use Razorleaf. Hitmonchan used Totodile as a shield while getting close to Chikorita. When Hitmonchan was close it threw off Totodile and used thunder punch to knock out Totodile. Then Hitmonchan used Ice Punch to freeze Chikorita. Then fire punch to knock out Chikorita. Then only Cyndaquil was only left. It started to used flame wheel but when it got close Hitmonchan jumped over. Then it used sky uppercut to knock out Hitmonchan. Then the trainers used Bayleef, Quilava, and Crocanaw. Immediately Quilava used flame wheel on Hitmonchan. It hit hard, but Hitmonchan counter with a thunder punch attack. Which caused Quilava to become paralyzed. Then Bayleef used body slam to force Hitmonchan to drop Quilava. Then Quilava started to use quick attack, but was stopped by paralysis. In the same moment Crocanaw used water gun and hit Quilava that knocked it out. Then Bayleef went for another body slam but got a ice punch attack instead. Then Crocanaw jumped towards Hitmonchan and bit the leg. This only got Crocanaw multiple thunder munches to the body. This multiple thunder punches knocked out Crocanaw. Then Bayleef started to shoot magical leaf at Hitmonchan. Hitmonchan used fire punch to burn the leaves and get close to Bayleef. Then Hitmonchan used fire punch on Bayleef. Then when Hitmonchan used the second fire punch it burned even hotter. Michael had used sunny day, and just made it up. Bayleef was knocked out. Then Hayden walked up the stairs and used his Blastoise. Brad saw Hayden's Blastoise then Michael's Charizard and chose to change to his Venasaur. The three used their last Pokémon. The Pokémon were Feraligatr, Meganium, and Typhlosion. Immediately Feraligatr used superpower on Charizard to get in close. That is when Michael's Charizard grabbed Feraligatr and took it to the roof spun and threw it to the ground. Then Feraligatr was instantly defeated for in the second that it hit the ground Venasaur used solar beam which was sped up by sunny day. Then Meganium started to shot petal dance at the party. Michael's Charizard used air slash so that it had no effect on the battle. While this was happening Hayden's Blastoise was using pathetic water gun attacks on Typhlosion. Meganium started to charge a solar beam attack but was stopped by a flamethrower attack from Michael's Charizard. This delayed the attack enough for Hayden's Blastoise to used rain dance. Then Blastoise froze the legs of the Meganium. Then Hayden's Blastoise used a hurricane surf attack on Typhlosion. Which knocked out Typhlosion. While this was happening Charizard started to use air slash and knocked out Meganium. Then Brad ran up to the next floor. While the other two were taking care of the three grunts. Apparently they were tying them up so that the police would catch them.

The next level was completely dark. It was hard to see but Brad used Hitmonchan to keep the Pokémon off of him. The first ot attack was a Sneasal. It used ice shard on Hitmonchan. Then Hitmonchan was paranoid. Brad used his Charizard as well. The light from Charizard gave away Sneasal's position. Then Hitmonchan used sky uppercut on Sneasal. This attack was four times effective and knocked out the Sneasal. Then a Murkrow swooped down and attacked the Hitmonchan with a wing attack. Hitmonchan hit the Murkrow back with thunder punch and it was knocked out. Then a Umbreon used quick attack on Hitmonchan. It had a quick retreat no matter how much Charizard moved it could never find the Umbreon. The Umbreon weaved in and out of the darkness to attack Hitmonchan. Then the Umbreon started to hit Charizard. This made Charizard use flamethrower randomly in anger. The flamethrower got the right leg of the Umbreon. This gave the Hitmonchan the opportunity to smack Umbreon with a sky uppercut. The Umbreon was defeated. Then the barks started five Houndoom started to attack Hitmonchan and Charizard. Then Houndoom was a little more predictable because of the fire that they were breathing. Then Hitmonchan attacked one with a sky uppercut attack. One was taken out that left four of the hellish Houndoom. Then Blastoise was called out with the other two. Blastoise was standing to the back of the Hitmonchan. So that nothing was going to get passed them. At the same second two of the Houndoom attacked. They got Hitmonchan with a fire fang attack. While Blastoise landed a hydro pump on the Houndoom. The Hitmonchan pulled the Houndoom closer, and used sky uppercut on the Houndoom that had used fire fang on it. The last two attacked. They were quickly put out by the Hitmonchan and the Blastoise. Then Brad marched up to the next level.

Then Brad was immediately transported to another world. In reality he was in a trance on the fourth floor. There she was Kimber was right in front of him. For a second he was very confused. He saw her in a white dress they were both a good bit older. Every person in the entire room was looking at him. It felt like he was supposed to say something. Then the minister to his left and was mouthing "I do." That is when Brad said, "I do." Then everyone applauded and it was clear to Brad that he had just gotten married to Kimber, but he could not remember something.

Then there they were happy they were doing their first dance together as a married couple. Brad still felt the itching of not remembering something, but he could not feel happy because she was in his arms. He felt like he could remember all of the good times that they had together. Even though they seemed fuzzy like they were not supposed to be there somehow. Like memories were all made up. Yet he was happy she was there, and she was alive. He was really happy that she was alive, but he could not remember why he was so happy that she was alive.

Then there they were at the hospital. She had just given birth to twin. They had named them William and Emily. We were happy that they were healthy. She had comeback healthy as well. She was really happy to have the kids. They were both older and it seemed like something that might have turned into an impossibility. The kids that they have together. They would grow there was hope that they would be the best trainers of all time. They would follow in their father's footsteps and be the champion of Manji. The champion of Manji. The Champion of Manji. Brad was not the champion of Manji. What was this Brad just could not remember what he had forgotten, but he knew that something was wrong.

Then Brad was at the lab of Professor Cypress who was a very old man at this time. He was there with William and Emily. They were both about to choose their first Pokémon. The Pokémon that he had chosen from had been changed. They chose from Eevee or Pichu. William got a Pichu and Emily got an Eevee. Brad coached the two through their first Pokémon battle. Then there they were laughing as they left from Davison to go on the Manji region adventure. The couple of Kimber and Brad cried as they saw their children leave for their Pokémon journey. One day they would build a team and they would have to fight Brad. The champion of all the regions. The champion of all the regions. Brad though what I am not champion of all regions.

Then he was at a funeral. Kimber was old and she was in the casket. He was filled with sadness for the person that he felt like he had lived a life with, but he could not remember any of that life at the moment. He just stood there and stared at the lady in the casket. She seemed so familiar except not familiar at all. Then it all happened at once. The body in the casket turned to stone. Then Brad could hear the screams from the body. "Help me Brad! Help me Brad!" in the voice of Kimber. Then Brad woke up and screamed. There was a Noctowl that was fighting Golbat Man, Zubat Kid and the Pidgey. "We saw that you go knocked out but the fight with this Noctowl is much stronger that expected." Then Brad threw out his Raichu, and used thunder bolt on Noctowl. Noctowl was knocked out and Brad walked up the stairs in despair.

The final floor was a Xatu. Barnabas was on the roof of this building if Brad could defeat this Xatu. He could get his revenge. Brad used Raichu thinking that this was going to be a quick fight. It was actually quite hard to get a hit on it because it was always ten seconds ahead. That is when Brad use his sixth Pokémon. With Xatu focusing on the future. Brad used Raichu to distract Xatu. Then Brad used Aerodactyl to get behind Xatu and shot from a distance. This hurt Xatu. It gave it the disadvantage of not being able to see the future anymore. Then Raichu used thunder to knock out Xatu.

When Brad climbed up the ladder to the roof Barnabas was standing on the edge. Then Barnabas laughed "Hahahaha! You are finally here! I am going to walk over tis ledge you will never be able to punish me. Hear me out you have take all of my Pokémon. You have defeated me out right. I will jump and you will never see me again." Then Brad's Charizard plunged straight for Barnabas. Barnabas was about to walk off the ledge. Charizard blew of the top hat of Barnabas. Charizard caught Barnabas right before he was about to plunge to his death. Then Charizard put Barnabas's head into its mouth. As soon as the head was in the mouth of Charizard Hayden and Michael came to the roof.

Brad said "Give me one reason not to order flamethrower right now. Give me one reason for me to not let it bite off your head right now. I have your life in my hands. You have been terrorizing people with gigantic Pokémon. How many people died? I bet their families would like me to make your head look like a roasted marshmallow. Give me a reason not to kill you. Actually, I want some answers. You have not used your serum to make Pokémon gigantic the last two times I have seen you. What is happening?" Barnabas groveled "Please do not kill me I was never really going to jump. It is because I have actually run out of funding. The Bounty hunter Squad actually evicted me a few months back. They said study of the serum would be unethical. I did it anyways. I have not been able to raise the funding to make more. That was my goal with this heist of the building." Brad continued "Well tell me then why should I keep you alive? Why should I let the person that took Kimber away from me live? You laughed in our faces when she died. You laughed and said that you had killed her. Why should I not kill you? I have the ability your head is inside my Charizard's mouth. You would not stand a chance. If I gave the order my Charizard would not hesitate. You know what I am going to do? I am going to do the unexpected. I forgive you. I forgive you for killing my friend. I forgive you for all of the grief that you have given us. What do you two say can we forgive him?" Hayden said, "Yes I forgive him for killing Kimber." Michaels said "I forgive as well but I do not want to forget. I believe that he needs to be in jail." Brad said "I never said anything about not getting justice. I said that I forgave him not that I was not going to hold him accountable. Agreed?" Then Michael and Hayden agreed. They all sat and watched Charizard grab tight onto Barnabas, take his head out of its mouth and fly to the police. Now it seemed like that motion was rehearsed. The reason for that is because it was. Brad had always wanted to forgive him and turn him over to the police.

"You did the right thing kid." Said Golbat Man. "You should let the long arm of the law handle this one." The three boys hugged and had a laugh that her death was finally over. They had gotten the vengeance that they had so long deserved. The next day the trial started, and it took many days of testimony to get through it all. Brad, Hayden, Michael, Tyrus, and Buster all talked about how evil this man actually had been. Their testimonies were vital to the guilty verdict. They also agreed that they would never take up their alternate egos again. They had actually already decided that when Kimber died. So, this was fine. In the end Barnabas got life in prison. He was going to be put in an isolation cell for twenty-three hours a day with one hour of sunlight on the yard. Brad was a little mad that he got live while she died, but also, he was not for killing him either.

Brad's mom was there for the boys and wanted to bring their spirits up. She made them breakfast that morning of Chansey eggs, Tauros bacon, and Oran Berry juice. She was there for them in every way. Now she was noticed after the trial with a. big goofy smile on her face when talking to one trillionaire an Oliver Wayne. Brad thought that this was disgusting but he kept that to himself. After a long time coming Brad could finally rest knowing that Kimber's killer was finally defeated. Knowing that people like that were behind bars gave Brad the rest that he really needed.

The Towers Badge

Then Brad decided that he was going to get ready to leave for the next town. With Barnabas captured he was free to travel anywhere that he wanted without the worry of what would happen. He had avenged his friends Kimber. Brad went to the gym. He had one thing left to do in Gibson before he left. When he made it to the gym the gym leader said "I am Steller. This is the steel type gym of Manji. Do you know how many Pokémon with the steel type are originally from Manji?" Brad thought for a second and said "Magnemite and Magneton, but Scyther and Onix evolve into steel types but not here in Manji." Stellen "Bingo! You would be correct, so this is what that means for us today. I get one Pokémon you get one Pokémon. I fight with the only family of steel type in Manji. They do not let me import my Pokémon. The gym in Jefferson actually imports every single Pokémon that it uses. Well, that is because there are no dark types in Manji. So, he uses dark types that come from other places but have species from here. That does not matter. Let's get to the battle."

Stellen used his Magneton, and Brad used his Charizard. Magneton started of the battle with a lock on attack. Then Charizard used a sunny day to heat up his fire attack. Then Magneton nailed Charizard with a zap cannon. Charizard was greatly slowed down because of paralysis. Then Magneton used thunder. "You are not going to win if you do not attack. My Magneton is much quicker now. I got this battle in the bag." Said Stellen. Then Charizard used fire blast on Magneton. Then Charizard crept back to Brad and then Brad used a paralyze heal on Charizard. "Always be prepared in a battle! What are you going to to do now that Charizard is not slow anymore?" said Brad. Charizard then used flamethrower on Magneton. Then Magneton used a whopping thunder attack on Charizard. "You see none of these moves ever miss because of the fact that I used lock on. I will not miss I am going to still win this." Said Stellen. Then Charizard rose to right above Magneton and shot a fire blast. The sun grew dim right after the fire blast. It hit Magneton and it was defeated. Then Brad got the Towers Badge. Off in the distance Brad saw him Oliver Wayne. "Congratulations Brad. I see that you have gotten a new badge. You should call your mom and tell her all about it. I am so proud of you! I wish you would be my sidekick!"
