The raccoon wakes up to the sound of his alarm, waking himself up to do his usual routine. Getting a shower in, brushing his teeth, and getting ready for the day. His work for today would be at Possum Springs, as he'd be tasked to do the maintenance and cleaning over there. Getting ready for the day, he would head out forgetting about the events of last night before remembering the girl sleeping on his couch. Not wanting to wake her he would do his best to make some breakfast while she slept in. He'd get the skillet ready to cook some pancakes, getting out the flour, baking powder, brown sugar, salt, butter, chocolate chips and pecans, and milk to make some old-fashioned pancakes with a small hint of cinnamon.
The sound of the skillet hissing as he dumped a few drops of the batter onto the skillet, looking over to see Mae sound asleep. As he'd make some for both him and her and with some chocolate chips and pecans. After finishing up, he'd hear the girl let out a long groan as she would slowly wake up. She'd lifted her head, smelling the air around her, "did you make breakfast?" she'd say a little groggy as she would try to wake herself up.
"Yes, I did. I also have some pecans and chocolate chips if you'd like"
"You're probably one of the coolest guys I've met" she'd still be half-awake when she said it before catching herself, "you know, compared to the other guys that let me sleep on their couch" lightly teasing him, taking back her previous statement.
"I'll take it, you slept well then?"
"Yeah I did, thanks for letting me borrow your hoodie even though it does smells like cheap cologne"
"I'll have you know that my cologne is worn by the greatest scumbags of all time" winking back at her with a chuckle before changing the subject, "so i have to work in Possum Springs, so i can give you a ride if you'd like"
"Well considering you're one of the nicest strangers that have driven me places I'd love too."
"Did you need to call someone to make sure you're ok?" handing her his phone to make a call to someone as he'd go to the other room to grab his keys to the van, returning to the other room getting the ending to her call, "Hey, I'm sorry mom I just couldn't get to a phone in time to tell you where i am. I can assure you that I'm fine, ok, I... love you too mom" she'd hang up the phone, placing it on the table as Samson would take it and open up his messages from his friends, opening up to read each of them
Dex: Hey man, do you still have my car?
Dex: Can you like drop it off somewhere close to me? Long story
Samson: Sure, where are you?
Dex would respond by giving him his current location.
After that he'd read Isaac's messages
Isaac: Hey! So Dex and i aren't talking right now
Isaac: but it's not my fault he's acting like a little bitch about it
Samson: What happened?
Isaac: He's upset that i made out with Callie Anderson
Samson: Dude...
Finally, he'd get to Felix's message
Felix: YOOOO
Felix: DID YOU GET BALLS DEEP IN THAT GIRL BRO?
Samson: Nah, not really
Samson: kinda spoiled the mood after we returned to the party
Felix: Yeah, man i didn't expect Isaac to do that
Samson: I'm gonna stay neutral on that whole thing, but can you do me a favor?
Felix: Sure!
Samson: I gotta take this girl back to her house and i need you to Get Dex's car from my work
Samson: You remember where that is?
Felix: Yep, definitely!
Samson: Ok, i'm gonna keep it parked so you can take it to him
Samson would forward Dex's location to him
Felix: Got it, thanks
Samson: hey man thanks for doing this, make sure to fill his car up ok?
Turning off his phone, he would look back at Mae "Ok; so the plan is to take the car to work, one of my friends will take the car back to my other friend and I'll drive you back to your house. Sounds good?"
"I mean gotta get home somehow" The two would head out of his apartment, locking it back while he walked her down to the car and drove to his work, parking the car for Felix to take back as they went into the van. Getting the van started, he'd pull out of the parking lot and onto the freeway, it'd be about an hour and a half of constant driving looking over to see the journal in her arms, "I had one of those you know, i just couldn't really stick to it."
She'd perk up a little, "really?"
"Yeah, I was having a bit of a depressive episode too, though I wasn't sure how it worked. I at least tried my best to log in daily, but the only thing I could do was just draw myself in a hole. It's just a dark, deep hole."
"So how did you get out of the hole?"
"Well I guess the only thing that could bring me out of funk was... Well me. I had met this person named Jon whilst I was in my deepest funk and this person was someone that really did help me out of my hole. Telling that i heal in small increments and i guess with that would involve a step out of that hole, and he was right. I slowly got myself out of that hole taking a nice breather from the fresh air so to speak."
"So what happened to Jon?"
"Well, it was then I discovered that he was just some personification of well... me. It's kinda like that one movie with the guy and he makes this group about fighting people, but instead of him being a stand in for toxic masculinity. He was just a person that just helped me out of the worst parts of my depression." She'd continue to listen in as they drove
"How did you know he wasn't real?"
"Well one time he was at my place, I got really annoyed at him and try to punch him in the face. When I did, I ended up flying backwards and when I got up I had huge shiner on my face and then i realized."
"Wow that's... Wow, do you still have that journal?"
"Yep, I do. I sometimes look at it when I'm feeling down to know I'm doing much better now than back then. I did climb out of that hole eventually, and it was actually done in small increments" the two would remain silent as they finally reached the sign that would welcome people to possum springs, "Oh look, we're here!" slowing way down as they'd reach the neighborhood, finally making it to her place. A slightly older man would stumble out of the house as Samson would get out to open the door for her. She'd then hop out from his van with a small smile, "hey thanks for not you know doing illegal things to me" before she'd head into her house.
"I don't think I should be rewarded for doing the bare minimum but ok" he'd closed the door making eye contact with the older man,"Oh eff me, that must be her dad..."trying to play it cool before he heard him say something,
"I hope you two used protection" it'd take him a minute for him to register what he just said before realizing,
"Oh no, w-we didn't... Y-y-you know didn't do any... she was bit out of it before-"
"She was out of it?" The older man would continue to mess with him, cocking an eyebrow while he watched him try t
o explain himself while he stammered, "l-listen I'm just a janitor-"
"Oh? My daughter is really into janitors. I think you two would get along."
Slightly mortified he'd take a deep breath before he spoke again, "Do you know where the nearest parking lot is? I actually do need to do work here"
"Oh yeah, down the street go left."
"Th-thank you sir" a little defeated he'd get back into his van
"Oh by the way, can't wait for the wedding!" he'd shout to him as he drove to the parking lot...
Mae went inside her house, mom in the kitchen as usual. "Mae, honey can you come to the kitchen?" Mae would go into the kitchen and sit on the countertop like usual. "Honey, are you ok?"
"Yeah mom, why?"
"Well there was a fight that broke out at the party you and Bea were at, and she couldn't find you"
"Sorry mom, I kinda met this guy-"
"Oh? What was he like? I bet he and your father would get along very well, maybe we could invite him over for Thanksgiving"
"Geez mom"
"Oh I'm sorry, but the last time you had someone over you were a tad secretive about it, besides it's nice that you're out of your rut after you broke up with that other girl, what's her name?"
"Bombshell, and it was 100% mutual"
"I see" the two would remain silent making eye contact with each other before Mae spoke again,
"His name is Samson"
"Oh, what a handsome name, i bet he's a nice boy"
"He's kind of a jerk" She said hopping down from the counter
"What makes you say that sweetie?"
"He was so annoying! being so nice, making sure i was ok, making me laugh..."
There'd be another pause between them
"Are you sure you don't like him?"
"I... don't know, i need to go talk to Bea"
"Ok, well I'm here if you need to talk."
"Thanks mom, love you"
"You too, make sure to take your medicine as well" Mae would roll her eyes before going upstairs to grab her pill bottle and down two of her antidepressants before heading out to the Ol' Pickaxe. She'd be deep in thought about some things, looking up to see Selmers sitting on her steps again.
"Hey Mae"
"Hey Selmers"
"How was the party?"
"It was ok, it got shut down"
"What happened?"
"A fight broke out"
"Wow, anyone get injured"
"Unsure, kinda got pulled away from it all"
"Aw man, that sucks"
"Yeah..."
"Did you want to hear another poem"
"Sure"
"Parties, sounds of music in the air
Dancing around the floor
Partly without a care
It'd be a frenzy galore
Enough for the outside to stare
Parties don't stop until the clock stops at four"
"Four?"
"Yeah, like four in the morning"
"I see, well I should probably get going"
"See you around"
Trying to get her head clear off of it, she'd go to the church to have a chat with her mom again, opening the doors to see her mom still at her desk like before.
"Hey mom"
"Hey sweetie, are you here to help out with the church?"
"Oh not today, I just want to talk to you. I heard that guy i met last night is doing some work here today"
"Oh you just missed him, he was such a delight to chat with. He seems a bit nervous but looked to be a sweetheart"
"You've talked to him?"
"He came to do some repairs for the church, seemed nice"
"Do you know where he is now?"
"He did ask about where the Ol' Pickaxe was, but that's about it. I think he might be chatting with Pastor K as well."
"I see" her eyes would be squinted
"Maybe you can catch him around, he did say that he was heading there and then to the bus station." she'd nod, heading out of the church as she walked down the steps and to the Ol' Picaxe. She'd open the door to see Bea working at the store as usual, she'd change up her look after two years, with a choker and a similar dress with an opening at the top with the same Ankh necklace. Without the dummy cigarette which was a sign she quit smoking for good.
"Hey Mae, sorry that I left you behind at the party. The Park ranger made us leave and I couldn't find you" the crocodile would turn her attention to her short friend
"It's ok"
"So... how did that whole thing with that guy end up?"
"It sucked, he's a huge jerk!"
"How so?"
"He was so nice to me, caring, he even got a hard on when we made out!"
"Mae... you know guys get hard ons when they make out with us right?"
'What?"
"I've literally had two different guys that got hard-ons when I made out with them."
"That's not the point, he was just so nice, helped me calm down when I had a panic attack, he let me crash on his couch and borrow his hoodie, he made me Pancakes and to make it worse he threw chocolate chips and pecans in them... he's just so annoying!" Mae would have a more frustrated tone with her arms out. As he spoke to her, as there'd be a brief pause before Bea would respond, having a somewhat understanding of how she behaved and responds in the affirmative
"You like him, don't you?"
"What?!" Mae being shocked that her friend would say such a thing
"Well you seem to talk about him like you hate him but i don't see what you're complaining about."
"He's just... i don't know"
Before she could continue complaining about him, the raccoon would come in the door opening and closing while he entered the store with a notepad checking off his list.
"Excuse me, i'm looking for the own-" he'd pause recognizing the two once again
"Oh hey, I remember you. At the liquor store, and you... You crashed on my couch"
The three would remain silent as the moment between the two would rise once again.
...
Samson would drop off Mae, getting ready to do his work and/or tasks around the city much to his chagrin after embarrassingly meeting up with her dad. Taking his directions as he'd go straight and park on the curb, getting with his bag full of tools. His first job would be doing repairs at the church. Going up to the cobblestone steps, finally reaching the church hill. He'd enter the church to see another person reading a book she would look similar to the girl he dropped off earlier. Clearing his throat to get her attention,
"excuse me, I'm here to do the repairs to the church"
"Ah yes, you must be the new Janitor. I heard a lot about you from other people especially my daughter"
"Oh, this is her mom..."thinking to himself
"Y-yes, i am Samson, S-Samson Wallace" nervously introducing himself to her, worried about what she said about him,
"Well nice to meet you Samson, the pastor is outside if you want to talk to her." The raccoon would simply nod and thank her. Heading out to find the pastor, but before he left he'd hear one more thing she'd say to him "You know, I can see what my daughter sees in you." taking the compliment, he'd wonder what Mae specifically said to her before about him,
"Oh, um thank you", she'd let out a small chuckle, the raccoon would walk out of the church noticing a person standing in front of the statue of a priest.
He'd approach the woman wearing glasses and a skirt getting her attention by talking to her "Excuse me, are you the Pastor?" asking the woman in glasses before she turned around to respond to him
"Yes, you must be the new janitor. I did hear the previous one mention having a mentor."
"Yes ma'am that is me, Samson Wallace."
"Nice to meet you Samson, Kate Young. I also go by Pastor K"
"Pleasure to meet you miss, you called for a janitor to do some cleaning and repairs?"
"yes, just let me show you where we need repairs done" Samson would nod and follow her back inside, "You know, there is the story of Samson of the bible"
"Yes, I vaguely remember that story a strong warrior with his weakness being his hair"
"Something like that," the pastor would lead the racoon to the inside of the church, "some of these doors need some fixing, they're a bit jammed. I also need you to clean the library once you're finished and then come back to me after you're through"
The raccoon would put his bag of tools down by the desk as he'd do the standard whenever a door would be jammed; pulling out some cleaning solution, screws, a drill, and a can of lubricant spray. Getting to work on repairing the doors, starting off cleaning down the door with the cleaning solutions and hit the hinges with the spray-on lubricant as he'd also replace the screws with new ones to prevent it from getting stuck again. Letting it rest for a couple of minutes, he stood up and looked over to the woman at the desk, "might want to give it a few seconds." Telling the woman at the desk before he'd creak the door to get to the library, noticing the small mess. Grabbing the broom from the other room and an old janitor cart. Dragging it through the hall picking up all the trash back left behind by the churchgoers.
Tossing all the trash into the garbage bin left in the library before wrapping it up and lugging it on the cart putting it back into the hall. Coming back to sweep up the remains and placing a new bag in the steel garbage can, getting back to sweeping up the floors. After that he'd focus on the couch and shelves, getting a duster out of the cart and cleaning off the shelves. Reaching to the couch, he sees an old man sitting on the couch. "Oh, excuse me I didn't know anyone was in here" looking away thinking he was one of the homeless people living nearby the church. Samson would look back to see the old man disappear in front of his eyes."Holy shit, was that a ghost?"thinking to himself, and not wanting to annoy the supposed ghost he would continue to clean the couch and do a good job to make it good as new. Heading back to the woman in front,
"Do you have a Dumpster for the garbage?"
"In the back"
"Thank you" The raccoon would quietly head to the back to dispose of the garbage into the dumpster, noticing the sign that said church use only before heading back to the front of the church and went inside to the service area of the church. Seeing the pastor sitting at one of the pews at the front. Samson would approach her a little shaken up from before, "what's wrong?" seeing his slightly nervous demeanor
"I think I just saw a ghost in the library, either that or a homeless man that had cat-like reflexes. Either way I made that couch in there good as new."
"Well that's good, also you wouldn't be the first person to see that old man either, but since you're finished for now maybe you'd like to sit down to chat?"
"I'd love to" sitting down on one of the steps to face her as they'd talk
"So how did you get into becoming a Janitor?"
"Oh well, I guess it started when I wanted to move out of my aunt and Uncle's place to live close to my college after graduating High-School. My current job at the time wasn't as much or well"
"What was your job before?"
"I used to work at a store as a grocery stocker, the problem was it was a bit far from my college, and I wanted to have a job that would be closer to mine. I applied to this cleaning service since it was close and they were hiring part-timers and at that time i was dating a girl and was kinda saving up to hopefully move in with me"
"I see"
"However, we had a falling out resulting in a breakup and ... well let's just say that plan fell through"
"I'm sorry to hear about that"
"And after my cousin and I decided to go our separate career paths, I remained in Tins Haven while he went to Bright Harbor."
"Bright Harbor huh?"
"Yeah it kinda shocked me too, he is by definition a Blue collar worker. However, he said that he found more work around there, high paying jobs and he also mentioned looking into a trade school there."
"What about you?"
"I stayed in Tins Haven to go to community college to get my basics out of the way and you know, see what happens after"
"But what happens after?" he'd feel the intense void and stress come back to him when she asked before shaking it off and responding
"I'm not sure just yet, you know" he'd respond a little nervous albeit he wouldn't know what he'd be doing after.
"Well hopefully you'll find something, most people your age do. If not, like you said there's always trade school."
"True, true"... he'd look down at the ground trying to think of something to talk about as his mind would be clouded with Mae once again, another question from the pastor would cut through his thought
"...Something else on your mind?"
"Well, I do remember that I talked to this girl yesterday, and I don't know I think I might have feelings for her"
"What's she like"
"Kinda snarky, had these cute but creepy eyes, red highlights in her hair. She was... interesting to me i guess, in a way that i never fully got from any other person i met"
"This girl does sound familiar, what was her name?"
"Mae"
"Oh! I know her, the receptionist's daughter. She had helped out at the church a couple times"
"Oh?"
"Yeah sometimes I'd see her chat with her mom too"
"That's neat i guess"
"She seems a bit off-kilter, but means well deep down."
"Yeah, after my experience with her I could tell" he'd stand up brushing his pants off, "was there anything else i was supposed to do? I did repair the door frame and replaced the screws, as well as cleaned up the library and took the trash out to the back"
"I think that's all we needed from you for now, thank you"
"Ok, well guess I'll get going then" he'd get up and go back to the entrance where Mae's mom was. Retrieving his tool bag before looking back at her "Do you know where the ol' Pickaxe is?" asking directions to the store
"It's down the street if you go passed the party barn you've gone too far"
"Thank you ma'am"
"Oh no worries, i hope to see you again soon" he'd give her a warm smile, as he'd head out from the church, and down the steps. With his bag on his back he'd walked past the buildings finally reaching a place with the faded sign of Kremman's on the front with the window readingThe ol' Pickaxe. Walking into a conversation that was being held by the crocodile and her petite friend, "excuse me i'm looking for the own-
Hey I know you..."
...
The two would stare at the raccoon, there'd be a small pause. Bea would clear her throat, "Yeah, I'm actually the owner technically. For now..."
"Ok you need me to do some repairs?" nonchalantly playing off their awkward pauses thinking nothing of it and trying to focus at his tasks at hand
"Yes, in the back. I'll also need you to do some under the counter help too"
"Cool, cool, I'm good with that" and with that he would head to the back, Mae watching him as Samson would head to the back, Bea noticing her staring daggers at him she would then go back to Mae
"so... did anything else happen that made you not like him?"
"He showed me an area where a UFO Crashed, then we kinda made out"
"Did he try anything?"
"No"
"than I really don't under-"
"Look, I just don't like his face. His stupid, tall, handsome face. Now if you'll excuse me" The woman would walk to the back to where the raccoon was, the raccoon would hear footsteps.
His left ear twitched as he listened "Who's behind me? I know someone is behind me" turning around to see her "Oh it's you again, how are you?"
"What's your deal?"
"I don't know what you're talking about" turning back around to face her
"Like, how did you know how to calm me down from my panic attack? Or why do you treat me nicely, or..?"
"I mean I've had anxiety attacks before, but I don't understand why you're upset. I treated you with respect. I mean don't you have people to rely on when that happens?", she'd stare at him. Keeping silent as she tried to respond,
"k-kind of.."
he perks his head up at her response "w-what do you mean?"
"It's complicated... is there any way we can talk about this privately?" being a bit sunken from before as her demeanor changed.
"Sure thing, let me finish this up." Returning back to his duties given to him by Bea as he'd reroute the lighting fixtures, as Mae sat down on one of the boxes in the back,"Geez, i thought i'd just be cleaning up as a janitor, not being the repair man, electrician, and custodian of this place"Thinking to himself as he did his best with what he learned about wiring. Flickering the light on at the front to see if it worked, and as if it was a miracle it does. Getting back up and looking over to the woman, "Ok, i think I'm done for now. Where do you want to chat?"
"Just follow me" the girl would get up and lead him to the bench on the side of the statue as they'd sit down to look at all the people and animals walking by.
Mae would try to muster up the courage to talk to him, taking a deep breath as she was instructed before, "I said it was a bit complicated to talk about this with, because... I had a terrible incident that happened to me a while back. Kinda triggered a bit of PTSD, mixed with the fact I had to drop out of college for an entirely different reason. When I had to go back to therapy, it almost seemed like all of my conversations whether it be with my family or friends would always be about taking my medication or how I'm doing with my therapist. It's so frustrating, because it's never about me, or how I feel. However, when we talked at that party I just felt a kind of... spark with you" The raccoon would nod a long to signify that he was listening to her.
"I get that, I really do. I was planning on backing out of the party, but something about you just stood out to me. When our eyes met, it just felt like everything disappeared. It was as if nothing existed but you. I guess you stuck out to me, as if you were a blue rose in a bouquet of red ones, or a pepperoni pizza at a taco place." Mae laughed at the analogy shuffling closer to him, leaning on his shoulder
"you know, I kinda want pizza now"
"Me too, or tacos"
"Or pizza tacos"
"What about taco pizza?"
"Holy shit, that's brilliant"
"The shell is the crust, with taco meat, and nacho cheese, with it being topped off with Refried beans and Jalapenos"
"Maybe, I'm not sure about the beans and the jalapenos" the two would laugh before Mae turned her head, the two would caught staring into each other's eyes before Mae would speak again, "Hey, so not like I care or anything but how would you feel if I told you that I kinda like you?"
"Well, not like i care that you care but i'd be very flattered and i do feel the same way about you too" with a small smirk coming from the woman she'd respond again
"Well, not like I care that you care that I care. I think it'd be pretty cool if we were to go out sometime?"
"Well, not like I care that you care that I care that you care but I do know a few places we can check out together, maybe the cafe and make fun of the hipsters that spend money on mediocre overpriced Latte's? Or maybe the aquarium? I know they just opened one up a few months ago and they recently got in a new shark exhibit maybe we could catch one of their feedings?:"
"Well, not like I care that you care that I care that you care that I care. However, i think that'd be cool" she'd then lean forward as he stood up. Samson looked back at her with a bit of a soft smile
"Is that... a yes to going out with me?"
"Yeah, I'd love to" Samson would get a bit of glee, his hand would lightly stim in excitement. Hiding it from her so he didn't weird her out.
"Well I do have Tuesday open, perhaps I can get tickets then?"
"Sure, I don't have any plans for Tuesday."
"Cool, do you have a number I can text you on?"
"Eh, not really I do have a phone but it's not that good. Do You have Chattrbox?"
"Yeah, I think so. It's been a couple of months since I used it."
"Well make sure to add me there."
"What's your account name?"
"MaeDay97"
"Cool, I'll add you. I should probably head back to help your friend, but I enjoyed hanging out with you. See you on Tuesday?"
"Yep!"
"I'll see you then!" saying with a warm smile as he headed back to the Pickaxe to do more repairs and under-the-counter work as well. As Mae took a deep breath before getting up to walk around a little. It'd be about evening when she arrived home to see her dad on the couch as usual, she'd walked up to him and sat on the couch. "Hey kitten, how was your day?"
"It was good, talk to mom at the church. Talked to Bea a bit and then talked to a guy"
"Was this the guy that dropped you off earlier?"
"Maybe"
"He seemed like a nice kid"
"He's the new janitor"
"Oh really, I think your mom mentioned that before. Saying he was a replacement for the previous one. Bob I think his name was"
"Yeah, his name is Samson"
"I see"
"Yeah... he kinda asked me out on a date on Tuesday"
"Tuesday? Maybe he could come over earlier so your mom and I can meet this janitor friend of yours"
"I can message him to see if he will"
"Good, just make sure he knows i work at a deli and can do deli things if he tries anything"
"haha i can tell him that"
"Wanna watch tv with your old man?"
"Sure"
...
Samson would be finishing up doing some under-the-counter work for Bea, lugging one final box as it'd slowly became sunset. Finishing up for the day and getting his under-the-counter pay from Bea. Thanking her as he would leave, heading outside and to the van parked on the curb. He'd fill the meter keeping it going for five hours, with the fifth hour being up as he'd walked down to the, "Crap!" he'd exclaim seeing an officer about to write a ticket on the van rushing over to her "wait, wait, wait! I'm here" panting a little. He'd be out of breath as he made it to the van, looking up at her"Is she related to this girl too?"he'd think to himself looking at the woman in her uniform.
"Do you understand why I'm writing this?" Speaking in a stern tone
"Yes, but I did fill up the meter for five hours which was how long I was gonna be here and it has yet to go out." Pointing at the meter, getting his breath again after bolting down the street.
The cop would look at the meter he used, "...yeah that meter has been broken for a bit"
"Are you kidding me? I literally put coins in there" she'd ignored his protests before hearing a familiar voice, "I think you should listen to him Molly." Mae's mother would be walking down the steps from the church after seeing her sister write a ticket for the utility van, while she approached her sister
"Do you know this person?" Molly would ask staring back at her sister
"Of course! He's been seeing my daughter recently, right?" she'd stare back at Samson, although she was right it was incredibly recent. The cop would stare back as her pen was to her notepad, "is this true?"
"Y-yeah, we just started dating recently, just actually had a date planned on Tuesday" letting out a nervous chuckle explaining himself to the cop. She'd put the pen down
"Ok, i won't write you a ticket this time. However, make sure you go to a working meter." She'd then walks away leaving Mae's mom and him, "Thanks"
"Don't mention it, hope to see you again"
"Well you might, i actually am going on a date with her Tuesday."
"Oh? Maybe you'd like to come over a bit earlier to chat?"
"Maybe, gotta still discuss it with Mae but i might"
"Well that's good, i can't wait"
"Awesome" he'd wave goodbye to her, getting the van in drive heading to the bus station, doing some late cleaning, getting the trash taken out. There'd be some occasional buses that would arrive with almost no one in them, why would anyone come to this place anyway? It seemed to be the drivers locking up for the night. After finishing up, Samson would get back in his van, drive it back to the building after an hour and a half long drive to Tins Haven. Planning the date out for Tuesday, he'd call up Felix to borrow his car "Hey Felix, you know that car you don't use?"
"Yeah"
"Can I borrow it for Tuesday?"
"Uhhhh sure, just curious why are you asking me and not Dex?"
"Because your car is a chick magnet, besides I'm not sure if he and Isaac have their problems settled just yet."
"True, I did get 3 numbers because of it. Also yeah, they're still not speaking to each other, this'll make movie night a bit awkward"
"Yeah, we can always invite Ron. Haven't talked to him in ages after I gave up weed. Maybe Robyn would like to join us?"
"Eh... im not sure if she'd be ok with that but i can check with her"
"Alright"
"Just curious, was this about that girl you let crash on your couch?"
"Yep, i asked her out and she said yes"
"Awesome, where are you taking her?"
"I was gonna say maybe a cafe to get to know each other or something? Or alternatively we could go the aquarium"
"Well I think you should put your best foot forward. Come up with your own idea, see what she'd like"
"Cool" he'd hang up the phone, and within an hour and a half later Samson would finally reach the building. Leaving the van there and clocking out. Taking a walk back home, approaching his apartment as he'd rested for his date on Tuesday.
