Preface.

We all know that the life of a demigod is dangerous. Terrifying. You have to be constantly looking over your shoulder, lest you be horribly and painfully killed. And when you have nowhere to go, when there is no place where you can be safe, that danger becomes even greater.

Such is the case with one of these demigods. His name is Percy. Since the fateful day when he turned twelve, he has been forced to be homeless for five years. Unaware of the cruel world he inhabited. A world full of ancient Greek gods, mythological monsters and creatures that lurk in the darkness of the most ordinary places, waiting to have a piece of him.

But even in the darkest of places, there is a small ray of light. A hope. For Percy, that hope comes in the form of a ten-year-old girl, Sammy, a very special mortal.

Luke Castellan, son of Hermes, prankster and brave, never willing to give up.

Thalia Grace, daughter of Zeus, defiant and brave, ready to kill any monster that tries to harm those she loves.

And Annabeth Chase, daughter of Athena, smart and fearless, who considers Thalia and Luke her family.

Together they will travel the country, facing monsters and gods. As they travel, their bond will grow stronger, finding what they thought they had lost.

A family.

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome!

This is a rewrite of my first fic that I wrote three years ago. Which many considered it had been abandoned. Now, I have taken it up again to start from scratch. I will add several new things that will change a bit the direction of the story I had in mind in the past.

For those of you who have already read my Attack on Titan story, you know what kind of writer I am. And for those of you who are reading a story of mine for the first time, let me make a few things clear before we get started.

First, don't expect my story to focus solely on Percy.

Yes, he is the main character. And the story would not be the same without him. But Percy is not the only interesting character, the book is full of dozens of them. So even though Percy is the protagonist and his presence will be very important to the story, the plot will not revolve around him.

Second, if you are expecting this book to be about a Percy Mary Sue, or a Percy drowning in his own pain and misery, then stop reading right now. I'm tired of stories of Percy being betrayed and leaving camp, of Percy being so wrapped up in his own grief that he walks away from everyone and ends up joining the hunt, either because Annabeth died and betrayed him in some way.

So I decided to do something different. I will start the story from the beginning, something few have dared to do. And I will develop the story in my own way. Do not expect powers to appear out of nowhere just for the sake of it, and for Percy to be able to defeat an Olympian from one chapter to the next. I will try to make my story as realistic as possible, just like the books where Percy was able to defeat gods and titans.

The Percy I will raise in the story will be similar to the books in his sarcasm, his disrespect for authority and gods, and his fierce loyalty to his friends. But he will also be someone who is more experienced and distrustful of others because of the way he has lived. That is, he will not be a naive person. In that sense, he will be similar to Percy from Heroes of Olympus. Someone who, frankly, is really tired.

Another important point is the pairing.

For those of you who have read this story in the past, you know that I was favorably inclined to Thalia. And let me tell you, that will not change. This story will be predominantly Perlia, a ship that I think is very underrated. But that won't happen from one chapter to the next, it will have its own development and many ups and downs, but eventually they will come to have a relationship as solid as Percabeth in the books, maybe even more so.

Likewise, as the story progresses, more girls may come to join, most likely Artemis or Zoe. It will not be a harem story, with Percy with 5 or 6 girls. No, it will only be 2 or 3 at most, Thalia being one of them.

With that said, I invite you to continue reading if you are still interested in this story.

And with nothing more to say... Until next time, beautiful people!
