Once team RWBY has been shown to the dorm room they'll be staying in and they're all getting ready to turn in for the night, Ruby can't help but notice that she's feeling slightly out of sorts. Just a little bit off, but now that the events of the day are over and the adrenaline is wearing off, it's becoming much harder to ignore.
It's nothing major-a bit of a headache, an uneasy feeling in her stomach, some slight dizziness when she moves too quickly, and of course, the overwhelming feeling of exhaustion that has her feeling like she's moving through syrup. All of it can easily be chalked up to just being tired after a long, long day, or maybe a bit of dehydration. Maybe it's even just the fact that she hasn't eaten anything really since breakfast; it's not like they've really had much time for meals today.
Maybe it's a mix of a couple different things. But Ruby is way too tired right now to do much besides change into her pajamas and climb into her bunk. Hopefully she'll feel better when she wakes up, and then she can worry about other things that her body needs besides sleep.
But even though she's exhausted to the point where it's a struggle to keep her eyes open, it takes Ruby a while to fall asleep. The dizziness is much worse when she closes her eyes, to the point where it feels like the room is spinning around her. She keeps jerking awake whenever she begins to doze off, clutching the sheets for stability as she shakes off the feeling of disorientation.
It doesn't exactly make for a restful sleep. Plus, it makes her headache and the queasy feeling in her stomach much worse than before. But she's really tired, and eventually, after a lot of tossing and turning and trying to find a way to lay down that will ease the dizziness, she finds herself drifting off at last.
She really hopes that she'll feel better in the morning.
