(If your reading this for the first time and don't like the Script format way of writing; keep reading on and it'll change to a novel way? Is that what it's called? No idea, anyway! If you bear with it and push through the earlier mistakes I made with spelling words here and there, and the whole script format thing, I hope ye enjoy! :D)

The sound of medical equipment echoes throughout the room as it gives support to a young man. The door handle rattles and turns, revealing an old and gruff-looking doctor with a white beard. He looks over a clipboard in his hand. A crestfallen look graces his face as he stops at the edge of the bed and looks at the young man with an oxygen mask, letting him breathe.

Doctor: "*Sighs* What kind of animals did this to you, lad?" He says quietly as he looks over his patient. He glances back down at the notes in his hand and reads them over.

Doctor: "Multiple lacerations to the back; extreme head tramua; a few broken ribs; brusing around the abdomen and chest; and 3rd degree burn scars around the arms. Poor lad, I hope you pull through." He says sadly.

He slowly turns towards the door and begins walking towards it, but stops when a noise catches his attention. The once-still bed creaks as the comatose patient slowly sits up; the doctor's eyes widen, and he loses grip on the clipboard, letting it clatter against the ground.

The young man who was laid in bed unmoving a few moments ago is now sitting up straight. He moves one of his bandaged hands and holds his head as a quiet groan escapes him.

Leo: "W-What happened?" He quetions.

He slowly opens his eyes but quickly squints them shut from the brightness of the light in the hospital room. As his eyes adjust, he stares back at a pale and wide-eyed doctor who stands in the center of the room.

Doctor: "Am I dreaming?" The doctor asks as he takes off his glasses to rub his eyes. The young man looks at him confused before looking around the bright white room.

Leo: "W-Where am I?" He asks in a hoarse voice. A sudden pain fills his head as an image flashes before his eyes.

It was of a blonde girl tightly holding onto a dark-haired man; she had a look of fear on her face, while the man had a look of anger as he glared down at him.

Doctor: "Do you know where you are?" He asks the doctor, breaking out of his stupor. The young man looks up at him and shakes his head slowly as the pain dies down slightly.

Leo: "I-I'm not sure." He says weakly. The doctor sighs sadly as he kneels down and retrieves the clipboard before looking over basic information.

Doctor: "Lad, do you know your name?" He asks with serious concern.

Leo: "My name is Leo Young."

The doctor nods his head as he breathes a sigh of relief. He looks over more basic information and lists it off.

Doctor: "Leo Young, age 16, height 5 feet 11 inches (108.34 cm), 200 pounds (90 kg). You may not remember, but you're in the hospital; you've been unconscious for a whole month and some days."

The young man's head starts to spin from the sudden information, his stomach feels nauseous, and his skin starts to pale slightly.

Leo: "H-How? What? When?!" He asks, and the doctor reajusts his glasses and gives him a small smile.

Doctor: "You were found in a locker room in the gym in a puddle of your own blood. She quickly rushed to a nearby phone and called an ambulance. I understand this can be a little difficult to rationalize in your head, but do you remember anything?" He asks as he pulls out a pen, ready to write any information.

Leo: "Sorry, doctor, but... my memory is all fuzzy; it's like I have fog in my head." He tries to remember simple things about himself, and they seem to vanish. His heartbeat increases. "I can't even remember my birthday.. or what my favorite food is." He says in a confused voice as he tries to remember.

The doctor stares at him with sympathy as a flash of anger fills his eyes. He quickly reajusts his glasses to hide it and gives Leo a small smile.

Doctor: "Amnesia is a hell of a thing. I'm sorry, son; truly, I am."

A faraway look glazes over his eyes as he tries to remember anything other than his name. The only thing that comes to mind is his name. The doctor writes a few notes down before looking back up at the young man.

Doctor: "Mr. Young, I couldn't find a number for your parents; is there a number you remember that I can call?" He asks as he sets the clipboard down on a nearby table. Leo looks up at the doctor and shakes his head.

Leo: "No, again, I only remember my name. Sorry..." He trails off.

Doctor: "It's okay; there's nothing to apologize for. I'll be back in a few minutes with some medicine to help ease your pain." He says with a smile before he walks towards the door.

As the door closes, Leo lets his head fall back against the soft pillow as his mind races. What happened to him? How did he get hurt this badly? Who or what did this to him? Those are the types of questions circling around his mind.

An hour seemed to pass in the blink of an eye as he lay there just thinking, but he came up with nothing. The doctor comes back through the door with a small white bag that rattles, and he gently sets them on the side of the bed.

Doctor: "There's four sets of pills in there; take two each daily, two in the morning, and two before bed. Here, I got you a small glass of water." He explains that as he holds the water, Leo gently takes the water and takes a small sip.

Leo: "What happens now?" He asks.

The doctor takes out a couple pill bottles and grabs a few capsules from inside before handing them to the young man.

Doctor: "After you take these, you're going to try and stand." He says. Leo nods and quickly pops the pills in his mouth before downing the rest of the water.

He takes the covers off himself and slides his legs over the edge of the bed, letting his feet touch the cold tiled floor.

The cold sensation fills his legs with a pins-and-needles sensation from not using his legs. He pushes up off the bed, slowly letting his legs get used to holding himself up. The doctor holds his arms out, ready to catch him should he fall. He takes one step and stumbles forward, but the doctor quickly catches him.

Leo: "My legs feel like jelly." He states looking down at his lower half. The doctor chuckles and gives him a light pat on the back.

Doctor: "That tends to happen when you sleep a month straight." He says it jokingly. Leo smirks as he takes a few small, shaky steps.

With each step, his legs slowly get used to the feeling of once again carrying his weight, taking the opportunity now that he can stand on his own. He slowly cracks all his stiff joints.

Leo: "Ah! That feels much better." He says with a small smile, the doctor nods with his own smile.

Doctor: "I bet being confinded to a bed for so long is not fun. Now, let me retrieve your things; I took it upon myself to get them cleaned and repaired."

Leo: "What things do I have?" He asks, confused, the doctor lets out a small chuckle.

Doctor: "Your clothes, a wallet, a phone, a rather nice-looking cross necklace, and some keys—to what I do not know. Are you able to follow me?" He asks, looking at Leo.

The young man glances down at his legs before nodding his head with a small smirk.

Leo: "Lead the way." He says.

They walk through a few corridors before reaching a staircase. Slowly, Leo makes his way down the stairs with the doctor. He watches as the older man swipes a card on a scanner; a green light flashes over the door, allowing him to open it.

They both walk through and are greeted by the reception area. Leo looks around and takes it all in. The doctor stops at the front desk with a small smile and taps his hand a few times on the wood.

Doctor: "Mrs. Edwards, can you retrieve the belongings of Mr. Young for me, please?" He asks kindly, and the woman looks up from her computer with a friendly smile and stands up.

Mrs. Edwards: "Of course, I'll be right back with your things, sir." She says, giving Leo a kind smile before disappearing into a door.

Doctor: "So, what do you plan on doing?" He asks, turning towards his young patient. Leo runs a hand through his hair and sighs.

Leo: "I don't know. All I know is my name and nothing else to go on." He says. The doctor nods his head sadly. Before he could respond to his young patient, the receptionist from earlier returned with a large bag full of Leo's belongings.

Mrs. Edwards: "Here you are, Mr. Young. Please check over the bag to make sure all of your things are accounted for." She says with a smile as she slides the bag towards the young man. He nods his head, grabs the bag, and tears it open.

Reaching his hand into it, he pulls out the neatly folded clothes and sets them on the counter. Reaching back into it, he feels the contents and feels something paper. Confused, he pulls it out to reveal an envelope.

Leo: "Whats this?" He asks, looking over the sealed envelope, and the doctor clears his throat, getting his attention.

Doctor: "I would open that up when you're alone; you don't know who could be watching." He says with a friendly tone, but hidden deep in his eye is a knowing look. Leo nods his head and sets it back into the bag before closing it.

Leo: "I better get changed. Do you know where I could?" He asks, and the older man nods his head.

Doctor: "The door behind you is a bathroom; head in there and I'll watch over your things." He states.

Leo turns on his heel, walks towards the bathroom door, and heads inside. He reaches behind the small of his back and undoes the straps holding up his hospital gown, letting it fall to the floor. He looks himself over in a nearby mirror that hangs on the wall.

His left side is discolored; his arms have gauze tightly wrapped around them, going up to his elbows; above his eye sits a bandage; his chest has gauze also wrapped around him and stops just under his pecs.

Leo: 'Wish I knew what happened to me..' He thinks to himself, then slowly throws on his clothes, which consist of a short green shirt, a red plaid long sleeve, blue jeans, and a pair of boots.

Leo: "Not bad. Not bad at all." He smiles while looking himself over.

He kneels down, retrieves the gown, and neatly folds it as he leaves the bathroom. The doctor smiles at seeing his young patient in good health.

Doctor: "You're looking better, all things considered. Now, I must be on my way; I have other patients that need tending too. Mr. Young, I wish you luck in your future endeavors." He says while giving him a small wave before taking his leave. Leo sets the folded-up gown on the counter and retrieves the rest of his things. He takes out his cross necklace and slips it on with a small smile.

Mrs. Edwards: "You are free to leave whenever you'd like; please be careful out there. We wouldn't want to see you here again so soon." She says glancing up every now and then at the young man.

Leo: "I'll try and be careful." He says with a small smile before walking out the front door. As he leaves the warm confines of the hospital's front entrance, a cold chill runs up the back of his neck as the smell of snow fills his nose.

The young man takes a few steps forwards before realizing he has no destination in mind and doesn't know how to get around.

Leo: "Shit. I forgot to ask them about the area; what to do?" He quietly says to himself, he reaches into his back pocket and pulls out his wallet and the phone that was with his things.

He opens the wallet and looks through it and finds little to nothing, only an I.D telling him basic info about himself and some money.

He turns the phone on, it takes a while to start up from being off for so long. When the small system finally comes to life it has about 10% battery.

Those were the apps that were availiable, he presses his thumb on the photos and sees random things he must have taken pictures of. From nice scenary, to people he doesn't remember. One picture stands out, its Leo smiling while a girl with blonde hair holds onto him with a large smile.

He stares at it for a few minutes with a faint feeling that he knows her but he can't remember how he knew her or what her name is. Putting that into the back of his mind, he closes the photo's and opens the messages.

Names of people he had messaged before losing his memory, clicking Isaac's name; he reads their exchange.

Isaac: Yo! You got Mr. A's assignment done?

Leo: Yeah? Why do you need to copy?

Isaac: You know me so well! To repay you for this grasious gift, I shall give you a cupon for a free meal at the burger shack!

Leo: Dude, the work wasn't that hard; you don't need to give me anything.

Isaac: You don't understand! Adding letters to math should be illiegal!

Leo: I feel you on that. This shit confuses me sometimes, which is why I hit the books.

Isaac: Is there anything you're not good at?

Leo: What do you mean?

Isaac: Dude. You're captain of the wrestling team; you cook like a pro; you can draw, sing, dance, and play guitar like crazy! Now you're also a math whiz!

Leo: Again, dude, it was basic algebra. Mr. A taught us what to do, like two weeks ago.

Isaac: But you don't understand. His monotone voice kills me. Thank God that I have Angie to keep me awake!

Leo: Angie? When did the two of you get so chummy?

Isaac: My brother in Christ I will answer that question when you ask Milissa. I've been seeing the way you eye her, so when are you going to do it?!

Leo: Ugh, not this again.

Isaac: Come on, man! Your so into her, hell; I've seen her check you out a few times!

Leo: Yeah, no way. I've got to go, dude. Mrs. Haywood wanted to speak with me.

Isaac: Ooooo, you're in trouble~ Let me know how long your detention is!

That was the final message in their chatlog; he re-read it a few times before pocketing his phone. The last thing he has is the sealed envelope, curious he pulls it out and stares at it briefly before tearing it open.

Dear Leo Young,

If you are reading this, it means you have awakened from your slumber, albeit into a world of uncertainty and confusion. Fear not, for I am here to offer you guidance, though the path ahead may be fraught with peril and mystery.

You may find yourself adrift in a sea of forgotten memories, your past a distant echo lost in the mists of time. But remember, Leo, that the essence of who you are lies not in the memories you have lost, but in the choices you make and the actions you take.

There is a destiny that beckons to you, a purpose waiting to be fulfilled. In Kuoh, Japan, a new Co-Ed school has emerged, a crucible of opportunity and danger. It is there that your journey shall truly begin, where allies and adversaries alike await your arrival.

Trust not in what you see, for truth is often veiled in shadows and deception. Seek instead the whispers of the wind and the murmurs of the heart, for they shall guide you towards your true path.

Remember, Leo, that you are not alone. There are those who watch over you, guardians cloaked in secrecy, guiding your steps from the shadows. But heed their counsel with caution, for not all who offer guidance have your best interests at heart.

Embrace the unknown, for within its depths lie the keys to unlocking the mysteries of your past and the secrets of your future. Trust in yourself, Leo, and let your intuition be your guide.

The journey ahead will test your courage, your strength, and your resolve. But fear not the challenges that lie ahead, for with every obstacle you overcome, you shall grow stronger, wiser, and ever closer to unveiling the truth that lies at the heart of your existence.

Go forth, Leo Young, and embrace your destiny. The world awaits your awakening.

Yours in shadow and light,

OD

Leo: "What the hell?" He says confused, his heart pounding in his chest, Leo stared at the cryptic message, a mixture of apprehension and excitement swirling within him. What did it mean? Who was OD, and why?

As if propelled by an unseen force, Leo made up his mind. He may not remember his past, but he refused to let that stop him from discovering the truth. With a newfound path forwards, he clutched the letter in his hand, his gaze fixed on the name of Kuoh Japan.

Leo: "At least I have a destination now." He states with a small smirk as he walks forwards.

Unknown to him, on the rooftop of the hospital stands an older man with one eye, he has a wistful smile on his face as he strokes his long beard.

?: "So you've finally awaken, huh Leo? I can't wait to see the things you get up too in Kuoh." He says as he watches Leo dissapear in the distance.

Timeskip Kuoh Japan

As Leo stepped off the train in Kuoh, Japan, he looked around in wonder with a small smile. A few people every now and then, from businessmen to people around his age, are dawning a uniform he's never seen before.

It was all so different from the bustling city he had known before. Clutching his phone in his hand, he made his way forward, following the GPS directions towards Kuoh Academy. His mind wandered back to the cryptic letter he had read, and he couldn't shake an eerie feeling about it.

Lost in thought, Leo rounded a corner, only to collide with someone coming from the opposite direction. A sharp pain flared up in his side, causing him to let out a startled gasp. He stumbled backwards and instantly cluctched his side as he sucked in air through his gritted teeth.

?: "Ice cream..." A feminine voice says quietly. The young man looks down to see a girl with white hair and a black cat hairpin in her hair. She holds an empty ice cream cone in her hand and stares at the splatter that was once her treat.

Leo: "Shit, I'm so sorry. Is there any way I can make it up to you?" He asks, wincing in pain from his side. She stands unmoving and looks up at him.

?: "Two Ice-creams." She says, holding up two fingers. Leo nods his head and pulls out his wallet.

Leo: "Sure, lead the way." He says. She turns around and walks towards an ice cream shop that sits off to the side.

?: "This is the place." She states. Leo nods his head, steps forward to the counter, and looks over the menu.

Leo: "What kind do you want?" He asks, glancing over at her, and she looks up with stars in her eyes.

?: "Vanhilla and chocolate!" She says with a small hint of excitement. Leo smirks, nods his head, and taps the small bell that sits on the counter.

A woman in a uniform comes running from the back; she has long, flowing purple hair and bright green eyes, and her apron hugs her curvy body nicely.

?: "Hello! What can I get for you?" She asks in a cheerful voice, looking at Leo. She glances to the side and sees the girl standing next to him.

?: "Oh, if it isn't Koneko, is this your boyfriend?" She asks teasingly, causing the smaller girl to blush slightly before shaking her head.

Koneko: "No. He made me drop my ice cream. He's just paying me back." She says it with a faint hue of red on her cheeks.

Leo: "Yeah.. I wasn't paying attention and accidentally bumped into her. Anyway, what sizes do you have?" He asks. The woman smiles and points at the different sizes they serve.

?: "Small, Medium, Large." She states. Leo nods his head and points to medium and large.

Leo: "One large vanhilla and one medium chocolate, please and thank you. Oh crap! Do you take American currency?" He asks, pulling out a few dollars. The woman giggles and nods her head.

?: "Yes, I can always get it exchanged. Swirl or scoop?" She asks as she writes on a notepad. Leo looks down at the girl at his side; she looks back with her amber eyes.

Koneko: "Swirls." She states. The woman behind the counter writes it down before looking back at them with a smile.

?: "Anything else?" She asks cheerfully. He glances at the menu, looks it over, and nods his head.

Leo: "Can I get a vanhilla milkshake, please, and thank you?" He asks, and the woman nods her head and writes it down.

?: "Your order will be right out." She says. The woman looks Leo up and down, smiling, before disappearing into the back.

Leo leans against a small railing as his side flairs up in pain again. He winces as he tightly squeezes the medal he's holding onto. Koneko glances at him curiously, as if she's studying him. He notices her staring and puts a friendly smile on his face.

Leo: "Something on your mind?" He asks.

She shakes her head and continues to stare; the pain slowly becomes worse, causing him to grit his teeth. He reaches into his pocket and pulls out one of the medications the doctor had given him. He pops the top and puts two pills in his mouth. An audible crunching sound can be heard as he chews them down to a powder and swallows it.

Koneko's curiosity increased even more as she watched the whole ordeal; before she could ask a question, the woman in the ice cream shop appeared with their orders.

?: "Here you go!" She says.

Koneko steps forward and grabs her two cones before stepping back and licking the sweet treats. Leo gently grabs his drink and feels a piece of paper wrapped around the base of it.

He looks it over, making his face heat up slightly.

Call me sometime, yeah? I would love to go out on a date with you, handsome. ~

-Natsumi

He goes to talk to her, but she has gone into the back of the shop. He smiles and slips the paper into his wallet for safekeeping.

Leo: "Well, I hope this made it up to you. I really am sorry about earlier." He says. She looks up at him as she licks some of her ice cream, and a small smirk graces her face.

Koneko: "Thanks for the treat. You're sweet."

He lets out a small chuckle before taking a sip of his shake.

Leo: "It was my fault to begin with, so it was the least I could do." He says with a smile, and her face heats up slightly seeing his smile.

Koneko: "I haven't seen you around before. Are you new?" She asks. He nods and walks beside her.

Leo: "I just arrived here today. I was hoping to enroll in Kuoh before it closed, which is why I wasn't paying attention earlier. I was looking at my GPS." He explains, and he glances back at her to see that she has already eaten one of her ice creams.

Koneko: "I can give my club president a call. She can get you into the system for tomorrow; where are you staying?" She asks as she pulls out her phone with her free hand.

That question causes Leo to stop and think that he never had a place to stay. He facespalms at his stupidity and rash actions.

Leo: "I... I didn't think that far ahead." He says.

Koneko looks up at him, confused, but she shakes off her confusion and gives her club president a call.

Koneko: "Hey, Rias. I ran into this new guy, and he wants to enroll at Kuoh. Can you get him in the system for classes tomorrow?" She asks, Leo quietly sips his drink but feels his sleeve being pulled. Looking down, he sees Koneko looking up at him.

Koneko: "What's your name?" She asks.

Leo: "Leo, Young." He states, she nods and repeats that on the phone.

Koneko: "How tall are you?" She asks, looking up at him, and he thinks back to what the doctor had said.

Leo: "I'm 5'11; I weigh around 200 pounds." He states. Koneko nods and relays the information before she falls silent.

Her expression became thoughtful as she weighed her options. Then, with a decisive nod, she spoke again.

Koneko: "You can deliver his uniform to my apartment; he'll be staying with me for the time being." She states, Leo is taken aback slightly. On the other side of the phone, even her club president was taken aback by the sudden news.

Leo: "Are you sure that's okay? I don't want to impose." He says, hesitant. Koneko looks up at him with a small smirk.

Koneko: "It's no trouble; consider it repayment for the ice cream." She says.

He nodded gratefully, a warm smile spreading across his face.

Leo: "Thank you, Koneko. I really appreciate it." He says with relief in his voice; she nods and goes back to speaking with her club president.

A few minutes pass as she talks on the phone before she slips it back into her pockets. She looks up to see Leo lost in thought and gently pulls on his sleeve, getting his attention.

Koneko: "Come on, I'll show you where you'll be staying." She says before walking ahead, Leo quickly follows behind her.

As they walked, Leo couldn't help but feel a sense of hope blossoming within him, fueled by the unexpected kindness of a stranger and the promise of a new beginning in this unfamiliar town.

And as they reached Koneko's apartment, and she opened the door to welcome him inside.

Koneko: "Its not much.." She says walking in. As Leo steps inside, he is greeted by the warm glow of soft lamplight and the comforting scent of vanhilla lingering in the air.

The main living area is small yet inviting, with plush furniture arranged around a low coffee table adorned with a simple vase of freshly-cut flowers. Soft, neutral tones dominate the decor, creating a serene and peaceful atmosphere that belies the chaos of the bustling city just beyond the walls.

Against one wall stands a sleek entertainment center, complete with a flat-screen television and a modest collection of DVDs and video games. Nearby, a bookshelf lined with well-loved novels and manga volumes.

The kitchen is compact but efficient, with gleaming stainless steel appliances and ample counter space for meal preparation. The scent of spices and herbs lingers in the air, a testament to Koneko's culinary skills and her love of home-cooked meals.

Leo: "Nice place you got here." He says with a small smile, Koneko lets a small smile grace her face as she walks towards a small table.

Koneko: "You can sleep on the couch. I'll get you a pillow and a blanket." She states before disappearing down the hallway.

Leo finds himself drawn to the kitchen, a sense of purpose stirring within him. Despite his amnesia, there's something oddly familiar about the act of cooking, as if it were second nature to him. With a determined nod, he sets about preparing dinner for himself and Koneko, guided by instinct and intuition rather than memory.

Rummaging through the cabinets and refrigerator, Leo gathers an assortment of ingredients, each one carefully selected with a sense of purpose. As he chops vegetables and measures out spices, a sense of calm washes over him, his movements graceful and fluid as he moves about the kitchen with ease.

Koneko comes back to the living room with a pillow and blanket, she sets them down on the couch before turning to see Leo moving gracefully in the kitchen. Her eyes wide with surprise and admiration as she observes Leo's culinary skills. She had expected him to be clumsy and uncertain, but instead he moves with confidence and grace.

Koneko: "Need any help?" She offers, stepping into the kitchen with a curious tilt of her head. He shakes his head with a small smile tugging the corners of his lips.

Leo: "I think I've got it covered, besides... its the least I can do, since your letting me stay here." He replies, his voice calm and self-assured.

With practiced precision, Leo continues to work, his focus unwavering as he transforms the raw ingredients into a delicious meal. The rhythmic sounds of chopping and sizzling fill the air, accompanied by the tantalizing aroma of spices and herbs mingling together in harmony.

Before long, dinner is ready, the finished dish sits neatly on the plates laid out before him. Leo presents the meal to Koneko with a flourish, a proud smile lighting up his face as he sets the steaming plates down on the table.

Leo: "Dinner is served." He announces, gesturing towards the meal before them.

Instantly Koneko's stomach lets out a hungry growl as she takes in the sight before her. She takes a hesitant bite, her taste buds exploding with flavor as she savors the delicious concoction Leo has created.

Koneko: "This is amazing." She exclaims, her voice filled with genuine surprise and delight. Leo's smile widens at her words, a sense of satisfaction swelling within him as he watches Koneko enjoy the meal he had prepared.

Leo: "I'm glad you like it. I was a little worried you wouldn't." He states that as he sheepishly rubs the back of his head, Koneko tilts her head, confused.

Koneko: "Why's that? You looked like you knew what you were doing." She says. A faraway look glazes over Leo's eyes as he stares down at his plate of food.

Leo: "I guess." He trails off as he stares at his food. Koneko stares at him and watches as he shakes his head and replaces his solemn look with a large smile.

Leo: "So, anything I should know about Kuoh Academy?" He asks curiously, and Koneko sighs and has an angry face.

Koneko: "Well, the basic stuff. It goes up from 1st year all the way to the 4th year. Then there is a colledge department for an additional four years if you want to take them. Just be careful around some of the boys; most of them are serious perverts and will do anything to see one of the girls naked." She says as an involuntary shiver crawls up her spine.

Leo: "Wow, thats pretty crazy. I hope you haven't had to deal with that." He says, Koneko sighs in frustration.

Koneko: "A few have tried, but I punched them in the face." She says before taking a sip of juice, Leo chuckles.

Leo: "Remind me not to mess with you." He says it jokingly.

The rest of their dinner was filled with an enjoyable atmosphere filled with idle talk. Leo has gotten to know Koneko a little and found out two major things. She really hates perverts, and she has a massive sweet tooth.

Darkness is all that Leo can see; he looks in every direction, but it's a never-ending void. Like the darkness, it is all-consuming.

Leo: "Anyone there? Koneko?" He calls out, but all he hears back is his voice as it echos through the vast emptiness. A small glow erupts deep within. He walks towards it, but it drifts further and further away.

?: "You are not ready to accept the all-fathers gift. In due time, you must make a choice: accept his gift or turn your back on him. I wonder, What will you choose, hmm?" An unfamiliar voice echos throughout the empty space. Leo looks at the bright light confused until the color shifts from bright blue to a deep green.

?: "PUNY HUMAN!" A voice shouts in rage, causing the space to vibrate violently. Leo grips his head as it flares up in extreme pain. He grits his teeth as he tries to shut them out, but they pierce through and reach the deepest part of his soul.

His eyes shoot open as he flies off the small couch, covered in sweat. Pain fills his whole being as a sudden, involuntary cough erupts from his throat, disrupting the quiet morning.

He quickly rushes over to the kitchen sink and turns it on as he violently coughs into his hand. Crimson red drips down the cracks of his fingers as he spits out a mouthful of blood.

Leo: "What the fuck?" Looking at his hand, he quickly washes it off and his mouth from the oddly familiar taste of iron. The sound of a door opening catches his attention as Koneko quickly appears in the hallway.

Koneko: "Leo? Are you okay?" She asks, peering her head around the corner. The young man nods his head and turns to give her a smile.

Leo: "Y-Yeah, I'm fine. Just had a bad dream is all." He says as he turns the sink off. Koneko gives him a look, not fully believing him, but she doesn't push it.

Koneko: "You should get dressed in your uniform. We need to leave soon for school." She says turning and walking back down the hallway.

He sighs and looks around till his eyes land on a neatly laid-out uniform with a little note on it. Curiously, he walks over and picks up the paper.

Dear Leo.

I hope this note finds you well. I had to use a few of my connections to get you enrolled so late. Please take your education seriously. I hope you are not like the other boys here. Koneko has probably told you they are perverts, which is the unfortunate truth.

Should you require any assistance or guidance during your time at Kuoh, please do not hesitate to reach out to me or any of the other members of the Occult Research Club.

I hope to see you around, and may you enjoy your time at our school. Welcome to Kuoh Academy!

Sincerely,

Rias Gremory.

Leo: "I'll have to thank her later." He neatly folds the note and sets it off to the side. He quickly discards his clothes and stands in his boxers as he slowly slips into his uniform.

The Kuoh Academy boy's uniform consists of a black blazer with white accents over a white, long-sleeved, button-down shirt with vertical linings, a black ribbon on the collar, matching black pants, and brown dress shoes.

He neatly folds his other clothes and sets them down near the small couch. A sudden pull on his sleeve catches his attention. Turning, he sees Koneko in the female uniform.

Kuoh Academy girls' uniform consists of a white long-sleeved, button-down shirt with vertical linings, a black ribbon on the collar, a black shoulder cape and matching button-down corset, and a magenta skirt with white accents.

Koneko: "Let's go." She says this quietly before turning and walking towards the front door. Leo follows closely behind.

The walk towards Kuoh was in relative silence; the only sound to fill the air was the few cars that passed them or the nearby chatter of other students.

Leo looks around and sees mostly girls in their respected friend groups; only a few boys can be seen speckled in.

Koneko: "We're here. The student council president will show you to your class. See you after school, Leo." She says before walking away, leaving him at the front gate.

Leo looks around to see the front courtyard filled with even more female students. A couple guys can be seen here and there, but for every twenty girls, there are four boys.

Leo: 'I can see why some of the guys would be perv's... their's girls everywhere.' He thinks. A sudden tap on his shoulder causes him to turn around. He's greeted by one of the most beautiful girls he's ever seen. She has black hair styled in a short bob cut, and a pair of magenta glasses rest on top of her face; they cover her beautiful violet eyes.

?: "Excuse me? Are you by chance Leo Young?" She asks politely, and he blinks a few times and nods his head.

Leo: "That'd be me. Sorry for enrolling at the last minute; I didn't think I'd arrive so late yesterday." He says nervously. She fixes her glasses before looking up at him.

Sona: "Nice to meet you, Leo. My name is Sona Shitori, and I am the student council president. The headmaster had informed me of a new student last night; now please follow me." She says before walking towards the front entrance. Leo follows closely behind.

Sona: "Welcome to Kuoh; it recently turned into co-education. The females outnumber the males, but as you can see, some of the male students have joined for perverse reasons." She stops and points to three male students getting chased by a group of girls with wooden katanas.

Leo: "So I've been told..." He trails off and sweatdrops at the view before him. She smirks slightly but replaces it with her stoic look.

Sona: "I need to grab your schedule; please follow me to the student council room." She says walking towards a flight of stairs. Leo follows after her and looks around in wonder at the size of the building he's in.

Leo: "This place is huge. I've never been in a school like this." He says it quietly. The sudden sound of someone screaming in pain catches his attention, and he turns to see the group of girls before beating the three boys with the swords.

After walking up the stairs and around a few halls, they reach a room with a wooden plaque that reads: 'Student Council' is written on the nameplate.

She knocks a few times before opening the door. Some desks line the walls to form a meeting-like setting. A new girl can be seen organizing papers at the main desk; she looks up to see Sona walking in with an unfamiliar person.

?: "President, who's this?" She asks curiously, looking Leo over. He steps forward and bows slightly with a wince.

Leo: "Leo Young. Call me whatever you'd like; I don't mind." He says with a small smile. He stands up straight, looks at the new girl, and takes in her appearance.

She has straight black hair; she has hetrochromic eyes, her left eye being violet while her right is light brown; and she wears blue, semi-rimmed glasses with square lenses that rest gently on her face. Once again, he was taken aback by the beauty of another woman at Kuoh.

Leo: 'Why is everyone I've run into so good-looking?' He thinks to himself, and Sona motions to the new girl before him.

Sona: "This is Tsubaki Shinra; she's my vice president of the student council. Leo here is the new student we were informed of last night; I brought him here to get his new schedule." She explains this to her vice president. Tsubaki gives Leo another once-over and nods her head.

Tsubaki: "Of course, president. I went ahead and already pulled it out for you." She says, sliding a papter towards her. Sona picks it up and gives it a little glance to make sure before handing it to Leo.

Sona: "It seems you are in class 2-B. I can show you the way if you'd like." She says.

Leo looks over the paper briefly before looking up at Sona. He nods his head before folding the paper and slipping it into his pocket.

Leo: "If it's not too much trouble." He says with a small smile. She shakes her head and walks past him.

Sona: "Please, follow me." She says before walking out of the student council room. Leo turns and gives a small wave to Tsubaki.

Leo: "See you around; I hope we can become friends, Tsubaki." He says with a small smile before quickly following after her. Unbeknownst to him, the vice president of the student council had a small red hue on her face from that little interaction.

Sona leads him to a lower floor to a class with the nameplate '2-B' on the side. She bows her head to him before speaking.

Sona: "Please, excuse me. I must be getting to class myself. If you need me or any members of the student council, you are always welcome to stop by." She says before walking down the hallway, leaving Leo alone in front of his new classroom.

He raises his hand and knocks a few times before waiting with his hands behind his back. The door slides open, revealing his teacher. She looks at him confusedly before a small smile graces her face.

Teacher: "Might you be the new student?" She asks cheerfully. Leo nods his head.

Leo: "Yes, ma'am."

Teacher: "As you might have seen, this school used to be an all-girls school. The student population is 95% girls, with the remaining 5% boys. Most of the teachers are also female. When in class, please refer to me as Mrs. Monroe or teacher; either is fine." She states in a sing-song voice Leo nods his head in agreement.

Leo: "Do you want me to wait out here or just go in?" He asks, pointing to himself, then the room. She giggles at him.

Mrs. Monroe: "Wait out here for a moment, dear. When I call you in, you may enter." She states this before disappearing back into the room, leaving Leo alone once again.

Voices can be heard through the crack in the door, and he leans closer to hear his que to enter.

Mrs. Monroe: "Okay, everyone. Settle down, please. We have a new student joining us today. I want each and every one of you to give him a warm welcome and show him respect." Most of the glass groans at the mention of another guy joining the school.

?: "Another pervert to join the ranks. Disgusting!" She says it with hatred in her words.

?: "He's probably going to peek at us while we change!" She shouts while joining her friend.

Boy: "Damn this asshole! Another contender!" He says it through gritted teeth.

?: "Please. The only guy in this school so far who has a chance with a girl is Kiba. He makes all of you look like dogs." She states with a snarky laugh.

?: "Oh shit! Another pretty boy, calling it now!" A guy shouts.

?: "Ain't no way." His friend disagrees.

Mrs. Monroe: "Now, now. Give him a chance; you may enter now!" She calls out at the door. Leo sighs, stands up straight, and slides the door open. As he walks in, all eyes look at him; some of the females look at him with hearts in their eyes, while the guys glare at him.

He stops and stands next to the teacher, looking out at his new classmates.

Mrs. Monroe: "Please, introduce yourself." She says smiling towards him. He bows towards his class with a grimace in pain from his side.

Leo: "Pleasure to meet you all. My name is Leo Young; I just arrived here last night. Let's get along." He finishes, stands up straight, and looks over at the teacher.

Mrs. Monroe: "Does anybody have questions for your new classmate?" She asks, looking out at her students. Most of the students hands shoot up in hopes of asking some much-needed questions.

She points to a girl with salmon pink hair and a red band resting on top of her head.

Mrs. Monroe: "Katase."

The young girl slams her hands on the desk and stands up with a serious look on her face.

Katase: "Are you a pervert!?" She asks eagerly, and a confused look graces Leo's face as he gently shakes his head.

Leo: "No, I can't say that I am." He states, confused by the randomness of the question, that she stares at his face briefly before sitting down with a small smile, happy with his answer.

Mrs. Monroe: "Murayama." She points to the girl next to Katase.

The girl stands up with a glare of anger on her face and points an acusitory finger at Leo.

Murayama: "I don't believe it! All the guys here come here for one thing and one thing only, and that is to do pervy things to us girls!" She shouts furiously, and her glare hardens as she looks at Leo. The young man in question sighs and shakes his head.

Leo: "Nothing I can say will change your mind about me, so believe what you will. Anyone else have a question?" He asks while glancing around the room.

Most of the female students hands went down after those two asked and accused him of. His eyes land on a girl in the back; she has long braids hanging off the sides of her head and pink glasses that rest on her face. She has a huge blush on her face as she stares at him, or rather, his nether region. She looks up, meets his gaze, and licks her lips.

A red hue graces his face from that sudden interaction, but luckily, the teacher calls on another student.

Mrs. Monroe: "Matsuda." She says with a small smile, but she looks rather reluctant about calling on him.

A guy who shares a resemblance with a moneky stands up and asks something that Leo was not expecting.

Matsuda: "Are you an ass or titty kind of guy?" He asks without stuttering. Leo stares at him, waiting for the punchline, like it was some kind of joke, but he was 100% serious.

Leo: "Wh-Ho... is that really your question?" He asks, confused. Matsuda nods his head with a large smile on his face. Some of the females groan in disgust, while others are interested in the new guy's response.

Mrs. Monroe: "Please, just answer his question, or he'll ask even more perverted ones." She whispers into his ear and shivers at the thought. Leo rubs his temples in frustration.

Leo: "Ass, I guess? Why would you ask something like that?" He asks with an eyebrow raised. Katase scoffs and stands up, pointing to him.

Katase: "He's part of the perverted trio. Him, weasl boy, and four eyes over there." She points to the three in question.

Leo: "Okay, anymore questions?" He asks, and once again, the teacher calls on another student.

Mrs. Monroe: "Motohama: "

The guy with the glasses stands up with a large smile on his face.

Motohama: "I knew you were an ass guy! From the moment you walked in! Me and you are going to get along just fine." He says, nodding his head a few times. Leo facepalms and shakes his head.

Leo: "Fuck my life..." He says it quietly. His teacher giggles at him before looking out at the class.

Mrs. Monroe: "All right, that's more than enough. Leo, please take a seat next to Issei." She says. The guy with a weird haircut raises his hand. The young man walks over and sits at the open desk.

Issei: "Dude, that was kick A! You sure know how to make an introduction." He says smirking over at Leo.

Leo: "It was certainly something I will remember. I have never been asked if I like ass or tits before." He states with an amused smirk, Issei chuckles.

Issei: "That's Matsuda for you. Underneath the pervyness, he's a great guy." He says. Leo shakes his head before turning and looking at their homeroom teacher.

Leo: "I'm good with being the new kid for now." He states this before focusing on class for the time being.
