It was four years after the Clone Wars ended and the republic was victorious. In the closing months, a plot to wipe out the jedi was discovered orchestrated by Chancellor Palpatine himself. he was removed from office and executed. It was later revealed that the former supreme chancellor was a Sith lord called Darth Sidious.

The CIS was recognized as a sovereign group and granted independence despite losing the war. Peace, however, was a fragile thing and unfortunately it was broken by a phenomenon called the GATE.

No one knew how or why it appeared on coruscant, but one thing was for sure. Whatever was on the other side was hostile, however, they wouldn't be the only faction affected by the GATE.

"Damn paperwork." A Clone commander codenamed Ranger said looking over a stack of reports. however, this clone wasn't a clone. His real name was Casey Walker, a native of Earth. He was the first non-clone to serve in the GAR. However, during the Clone Wars it was a secret kept by the coruscant Guard and he later commanded a battalion turned legion nicknamed the Hell Fighters by other clone units. "Man, I miss being in the field." Walker said before his door chimed. "Come in."

"Having fun with the desk job?" A snarky feminine voice asked. Walker looked up to See a blue-skinned female with yellow facial markings and lavender colored hair. "No, I'm not Senator Chuchi." The commander said obviously distressed. The Senator's face softened. "Missing home again." She asked.

Walker nodded. "Honey, the republic is doing all it can to find your home world, but with needing to recuperate from the war it's taking some time. And please remember call me riyo." The senator said sitting on the corner of his desk "Only when you aren't on the clock Riyo." Walker said to his wife chuckling.

The two had met during walker's first patrol of the senate building in his days as a coruscant guard. He accidentally bumped into her causing the paperwork she was carrying to fall. He apologized profusely while helping her gather the scattered parchments. She passed it off as an accident and giggled at his antics

They met again during the crisis on Orto Plutonia when he was assigned as her bodyguard. He butted heads with the chairman at the time. Riyo smiled mentally at the memory

FLASHBACK BEGIN

"Good lord it's freezing out." Walker/Ranger said physically shivering despite wearing a cold suit. Riyo giggled. "I wasn't aware that you had a sense of humor Ranger." The senator said trying to suppress the amusement in her voice. That's quite enough senator do not spend your time fraternizing with these troopers much less this coruscant guard trooper." Cho said snidely. "And you have a stick up your ass." Ranger said smirking beneath his helmet. Riyo had to cover her mouth to prevent herself from laughing

"That trooper sure has some spunk in him. What was his name again Rex?" Anakin asked his second in command. "Thorne said his name was Ranger sir."

FLASHBACK END

Riyo smiled softly knowing what she was about to reveal would make his day. However, before she could the air raid siren went off. "The hell?" Walker asked before his longtime friend, Blitz, rushed in. "What's going on?"

Blitz shook his head. "No idea. Reports of flying lizards, Men in ancient looking armor in central plaza coming from a strange looking structure. Chancellor wants the Coruscant Guard and Hell Fighters at the point of origin NOW!" the trooper said before running off. Walker looked to riyo. She seemed disappointed about something. Sensing his gaze, riyo looked up and smiled.

"Go, The Republic needs its hell fighters… all of them." She said crossing her arms. The commander nodded and put his helmet on before rushing out his office, DC-15s in hand. Riyo sighed in defeat. "So much for having time to ourselves." Riyo sighed

CENTRAL PLAZA

"Hold the line and watch your fire there's still civilians!" a coruscant guard captain yelled to his comrades over blaster fire. The invaders were still coming through and the onslaught was endless. "Sir there's too many we need to pull back." A random trooper said before a few missiles struck the ground obliterating a good portion of the unknown force. "It's the Hell Fighters!" another trooper yelled as hope filled the rest of them.

An LAAT baring the insignia of the republic's toughest legion flew over the plaza blanketing it with blaster fire. Several LAATs landed dropping off troopers wearing two-toned grey camo armor with blue visors and dark grey markings. The Hell Fighter legion wore different colored armor depending on the combat area this being an urban. They had a white 407 painted on their right shoulder pad and the republic emblem on their left. Upon landing the troopers fixed bayonets and charged at the remaining enemies. "So, those are the Hell Fighters." A stark white Trooper said as the Hell Fighter troopers passed them. "Yeah, tough sons of bitches." A coruscant guard said. "Back during the last months the Clone Wars the 407th was just a battalion. They earned that nickname from a Separatist General that fought them during the battle of Mimban." The shiny looked at the guard.

"How so?" he asked. "The separatists shelled the 407th's position for sixteen hours. When the shelling stopped, they approached the trenches Commander walker, then a captain, and the 407th had made. They saw dead clones everywhere. Thinking, they'd won the general was about to order the clankers to proceed when the commander climbed up onto a piled of dirt followed by other clones. Walker's helmet was missing. The general was so shocked that he couldn't react fast enough when Walker gave the order to charge." The guard said. "Most of the clones were so wounded that they used DC-17 blaster pistols others fired their DC-15s' one handed. Many had bandages on their head."

"Kriffing hell." Another coruscant guard muttered. "The men were exhausted beyond their limits. That even the ones that weren't severely wounded, stumbled as they all walked forward firing their DC-15 blaster rifles. When the general was captured, all he could say was "they're from hell. They're soldiers from hell."

The stark white trooper looked back at the battlefield to see the hell fighters shoving prisoners that could walk and aid those who couldn't. evidently the arrival of the ferocious legion had scared the remaining unknown warriors enough to surrender.

"So, when did the hell fighters become a legion?" the trooper asked. "Just before the battle of Annaxes." Came a voice from behind them. "Commander Walker, nice of you to join us." The coruscant guard said before they all glanced at the prisoners being hauled away.

And so, on that day in the year 15BBY of the galactic year, the republic braced itself for another conflict with the forces from beyond… The Gate.

1 WEEK LATER

Walker splashed water onto his face. "I know the Hell Fighters are highly decorated, but why would the senate assign the 407th as an expeditionary force." He muttered. "Chancellor Organa believes that the 407th should shine in its own light again instead of being a relief legion as Sidious had made it to be after your bravery on Mimban three years ago." Riyo said. "that and the point that the 407th is the only legion to have camo armor." Walker looked at her "Excluding the 41st elite legion I assume?" he asked. Riyo nodded. "This isn't exactly a war Riyo. The fight against those guys proved that. If their entire force are using ancient weapons like swords, bows, and spears. This conflict would be over within minutes never mind a whole day."

Riyo placed a hand on his shoulder. "You won't need to do paperwork. I asked the senate to send a jedi with you."

It would be roughly two months after the plaza attack before any major plans for the so-called special region were made.

CENTRAL PLAZA

2 MONTHS AFTER ATTACK

Walker stood in front of the gate looking at the gathered troopers of the 407th, to his surprise the 91st recon legion had lent 400 eggshell troopers and speeder bikes (A/N: eggshell is a term used by the 407th to distinguish its troopers to the stark white clone troopers. Even those with striped legion markings) The coruscant guard had also lent 500 troopers to act as Military police.

"Great, we have Eggshells with us." A clone lieutenant, to walker's right, said. "Stuff it Hornet." Walker said. "Calm yourself commander." A wise voice said. "Of course, General Kenobi. I assume Cody will be joining us?" the general nodded. "a portion of the 212th will also be joining us with the desert camo armor at a later date." Walker nodded. "if there's a desert that's where they'll be deployed if need be."

"Men, on this day we march to the special region. I don't know what to expect on the other side so keep your guns primed and at the ready." Walker said moving his gaze across his legion. Many wore forest camo scout trooper armor; others wore a forest camo version of a galactic marine or airborne trooper. Some even had the 91st recon legion's helmets. The AT-TEs of the 407th had a three tone camo paint job on the body and brown framing the cockpit. The AT-RTs had a similar color scheme as did the At-DPs and AT-OTs.

If any of the jedi had something to say about the 407th… they would say that the Hell Fighters were practically a legion completely comprised of ARC troopers. The 407th was highly decorated in the closing months of the clone war despite being a relief legion. Since the end of the Clone Wars, the 407th had been deployed to fight various crime networks planning to overthrow the republic. And now they would be deployed to an unknown world either to claim it for the republic or bring peace to it.

(Klendathu drop; Starship troopers ost plays)

"Alright men. Move out!" Walker said before the lead 407th AT-TE lumbered towards the structure. "Just another day in the office eh Commander?" Blitz asked as he, Walker, Hornet and three other troopers hitched a ride on a forest camo TX-130 hover tank.

"Yeah. I hope the special region is like Naboo." Walker said noticing Riyo in the crowd that came to see the 407th off. "Either way, I hope this deployment has action because I'm itching for a fight." Blitz said. "With our weaponry difference and advantage Blitz, it'll be more of a massacre than a battle." Walker said "I take no pride in taking another's life." Walker said. "Unless it's a Clanker right?" Hornet said causing the three to chuckle. "True."

"All I know is that whoever's behind the attack on the plaza is going to get it once we arrive." Blitz said as the three friends glanced towards the gate.

Unaware to the clones and Republic, another group was attacked by the same mysterious force and mobilized its military as well. This military was known as the JSDF. And 3 worlds were on a collision course with each other. Would peace reign throughout the special region or would it burn in the flames of war?

A/N: Thus begins my first gate crossover. I had recently read a few crossover fanfics of this anime and seen some episodes. Pretty interesting if you ask me.

now onto the main character design. Walker's clone armor is like rex's in season 7. However, he has the standard phase 2 helmet with Gree's episode III color scheme. Same color scheme goes for Hornet who's armor is exactly like Commander Bly's with the yellow replaced by a dark green. Blitz's armor is like Baccara's but again the color scheme is like Gree's with dark green replacing the purple.

Either way. I hope this story proves to be as interesting as my RWBY/Bad Batch story. Please read and review. Constructive criticism is allowed. That being said. Peace
