Now it's been awhile since I watched Naruto like 8,6 years ago so I don't remember much anyway there is going to be some elements from other anime. AU Naruto meaning an alternative universe, some things will be different some won't, some characters may seem out of character but thats because I haven't seen Naruto in some years, now onto the story.

NARUTO POV

Now here I was going on about my day today was my birthday, my sixth to be exact. I was so excited I was skipping to Ichiraku, uncle Teuchi said I could have 6 free large ramen bowls all to myself I was salivating at the thought. Of course I didn't pay any mind to all the villagers glaring at me. It used to hurt not having anybody, until my Grandfather Jiraiya of the Sannin came, though I call him pervy sage after I caught him peeping at the girls bathhouse like can you believe it, I made those peeping holes myself the audacity of this ancient fossil. He was so cool he even let me sign his toad summoning contract, though I could only summon two small toads by the name of Gamakichi and Gamatatsu though tatsu is a little slow, he had the color yellow and kichi is orange.

"ahh finally, Ojisan I want the 6 bowls you promised me" the red head told Teuchi the ramen chef and owner of the small restaurant, not that it was unpopular hundred's of customers come or order ramen from their home." Oh naruto boy come sit, AYAME COME NARUTO's HERE!!" He screamed the last part so his daughter ayame could here, no doubt in the kitchen cutting up some vegetables.

she came out kitchen, she was pretty with brown hair and black eyes, pretty face, Naruto stood up to hug her" I missed you Ayame" she looked down at him, messing up his hair" you just seen me yesterday, you little rascal"

Naruto gave her a teasing look" oh but my sweet Ayame not an hour goes by where I don't think of you and you're ramen flavored scent" Ayame gave him a playful shove to his seat, he could hear Teuchi chuckle. As he sat down he looked up" well I did promise you my boy 6 free large ramen bowls, what kind do you want Naruto?" He put a finger on his chin making a thinking pose his bright blue eyes closed in thought," hmm lets see I want six large bowls of miso ramen with lots of toppings, including pork and dont be stingy ojisan" the old man gave him a grin as he went to the kitchen" Ayame keep him company while I prepare his food" he gave her a discreet wink.

Ayame came behind him and started massaging his shoulders" so Naruto what do you plan to do the rest of the day?" He turned around to face her with a small smile on his wiskered faced" honestly after I'm done eating I'm going to go train my Shurikenjutsu and probably explore the forest a little, I've always liked the forest it keeps calm and comfortable" they kept talking for a little while, until he heard Teuchi calling his name. He turned to face him he was expecting his bowl of ramen but he faced a chocolate cake with six candles. "Happy birthday Naruto" Ayame and Teuchi said at the same time. His teared up a little, smile wobbly, he jumped over the counter hugging the greying man.

He spent a couple hours there eating and chatting his Ojīchan, Hiruzen Sarutobi the third hokage came by spent a couple hours there with them but had to go back to his office he was the hokage after all and it was an important responsibility or so he says. Why anyone would want to be cooped up doing paperwork is a mystery, I would rather be traveling the world and meeting new people like my grandfather Jiraiya does.

12:00pm

The forest is peaceful today, as always he felt a calling whenever he's in a forest as if something wants to bloom out of his stomach and so he sat down to meditate this time he let the feeling spread then he felt it his chakra pouring out of him flowers were blooming all around him. Mokuton or wood release he has knowned he had it, so does Lord third and Jiraiya, he could only grow small trees and 4 wood clones before he gets tired from chakra exhaustion.

He quickly made a wood clone for Taijutsu training though he only knew the basics, his clone looked exactly like him blood red hair bright blue eyes as if the ocean was trapped within them, three whisker marks on each cheek white shiny teeth.

They quickly got into their stances, facing each other the clone threw the first punch to his left side of his face he blocked it with his left hand, he quickly grabbed onto the clone hand that tried to punch him sent a punch to the clone's jaw he tried to dodge but Naruto still managed to connect sending him up in the air he jumped up to the clone and kicked him in the stomach sending him to the ground dispelling the clone and shattering the ground.

He landed on the ground. 'Shadow clone jutsu' six clones were summoned in a cloud of smoke, Naruto turned to four of them" you four will work on earth and water release" he turned to the last two" each one of you will work on tree and water walking while sticking leaves to you're foreheads" they all got to work.

DECEMBER 7th

3:00pm

Snow covered the streets as I was walking towards the Hokage mansion. The old man had one of his Anbu with a dog mask tell me he wanted to meet with me, the Hokage mansion was 3 drum like building's with the one in the middle being the tallest and the two behind the middle smaller with two large trees growing on top, a small forest in the background.

The Hokage was an elderly man, tan skin, wrinkles on his skin,sharp black eyes with a well cared for goatee and the Hokage hat on his head he had on white robe a red dress, easy to take off for his battle gear was always on his person.

"Naruto welcome my boy, how goes you're Mokuton?" Was the first thing the old man said as I walked in " its going ok I guess it drains me of most of my chakra after I use it too much... so what did you call me here for old man?" Lord third gave him a kind smile before replying" I asked you to come here because your going to go to the academy tomorrow and that your not going to be staying at the orphanage no more" he told me, I must've had a surprised face because he was chuckling " you were going to stay at an apartment where all the other orphans who apply to be shinobi stay at but Jiraiya thought it best he buy you a small land area that's filled with trees and two small lakes, one next to a small house that has 3 rooms a master bedroom with a queen sized bed and other necessities you may need."

I was happy that my Ojīchan thought to buy me that, im not really that well liked in the village because of the damn fox thats in my gut. It was a well built house, just like the old man said it was.

DECEMBER 8th

8:00am

"And you know to hold back.."

"yes yes yes, you crotchety old man you told me like a guzzilian times already" Naruto interrupted the god of shinobi not caring that he was one if not the strongest Shinobi in village right now ( Gai and Jiraiya are not in the village right now)

" but do you know why I keep telling you?" the Professor said " yes, it's because im an uzumaki and that means I could easily break other kids bones when we spar, and to not show my wood release unless my life is in danger, now C'MON C'MON WE'RE GOING TO BE LATE HURRY OLD MAN" Naruto screamed the last part while gripping the old mans arm trying to run towards the academy.

Naruto went and sat down with the many other kids, he could already hear parents telling their sons and daughters to stay away from him.

"why is that demon here?."

"he shouldn't be here, that demon brat."

"listen kids we want you to stay away from him he's a bad kid, he will only get you in trouble he's a bad influence."

"that damn demon if wasn't for him my wife would've been able to be here for our children"

It hurt, It hurt alot my heart felt as if I was being pierced by a speer. He tried not to let the hurt show so he put his head down, his eyes shadowing, mouth curling into a snear.

"To those who possess the Will of Fire, everyone is family. The desire to protect one's family builds thicker and stronger bonds between each and everyone in the village. If the Will of Fire is embraced by everyone, the village will be alright no matter what happens."lord third waited for a moment to gather his breath, that also broke Naruto from his dark thoughts "that... was something my sensei's told me you know them as tobirama and hashirama senju, essentially that means we are all family no matter how much you fight, no matter much we may despise, argue with each other we will all remain part of the hidden leaf village" the old man spoke with such conviction that it was hard not to believe in it.

the classroom was filled with students everyone was mingling with one another, he sat down next to a girl with dark blue hair cut into a bobcut her eyes though are white featureless a hyuga then 'she does look quite familiar' " Hey im Naruto Uzumaki whats your name" he said to the prideful looking girl her head held high, shoulders straight, her eyes looked him over then she said " Hinata Hyuga"

" ahh aren't you that girl that I helped get back to her clan compound" her eyes widened before looking away, cheeks colored rosy pink " yes thank you"

" maa don't mention it" he told her sitting next to her, she nodded before going back to staring at the chalkboard. They stayed like that for a while the sensei sitting at his desk, hair tied into a ponytail, tan skin, a scar running across his nose.

The students got quite by now, the sensei standing to introduce himself walking to the middle of the walking area," well class this is my first time being a teacher so treat me well and I'll treat you the same... oh how could I forget my name is Iruka Umino" he bowed to the class and we all did the same.

"from today and to the next 6 years I'll be your sensei. I'll be teaching you all how to awaken your chakra, how to control it, basic ninjutsu and Taijutsu. I'll also be teaching you your mathematics, history of the shinobi world and the rest of the things that you all will need" he was a pretty cool teacher, he didn't hate me like the rest of the adults did.

DECEMBER 22

10am

It's 5 years since I joined the academy Im now 11, one more year and I graduate, then I could finally be a shinobi. I was heading to my house, leaping tree to tree, a large one story house next a clear blue lake frozen from the snow which was still falling from the cloudy sky. As I walked into the house I could sense a chakra that was familiar, Jiraiya I quickly ran in and there he was.

Standing tall, long spiky white hair reaching to his waist arm's outstretched" welcome home naruto" I ran to him in a crushing hug, tears spilling out my eyes, how I longed to hear those words" I missed you Ojīchan I thought you'd never come back" I cried out words barely coming out hiccuping and snot coming out my nose as I hugged him tighter.

It was a couple minutes longer before I finally let go "so why'd did you come back don't you have any more S rank missions to take?" I asked him he ruffled my spiky red hair that was to my shoulder blades spiked up in different directions,"I thought I'd come visit you and teach you a couple more jutsu but if you want me to leave so fast..." he turned to walk towards the back door" Jutsu? what type of jutsu?" I said my bright blue eyes looking up at him" come I'll show you, but before that have you been training your chakra control and your wood, water and earth release?" he told me with a stern voice a serious look crossing his face" yeah, I could even make gaint whirlpools on that lake right there and my earth release I could make small thick walls that could cover my whole body, as for my wood release its still difficult to control but I could make snake like pillers that could drain chakra" The red head told him as he sucked in a huge breath to fill in his lungs.

They stopped on a large clearing made for training, three beat up polls from where naruto would practice his taijutsu even now you could see bandages wrapped around his knuckles.

Jiraiya was the first to break the silence "ok I'm going to teach and give you these scrolls 3 earth release, 3 water release jutsu and a wood style scroll since you know I cant teach you that. The first is Earth Release: Earth Dragon Bullet C rank, it creates a large mud dragon head that spits out mud bullets.

Earth Release: Earth Spear, B rank, this one allows the user to harden any part of their body it's weak to lightning release.

Earth Release: Swamp of the Underworld, A rank, it's one of my personal jutsu it allows you to create a giant swamp it's great for a large number of enemies or large summons, now for the water release.

Water Release: Water Hail B rank The user cups their hands together and stretches their arms outward at the target. They will then unleash a large barrage of water bullets. The bullets are very potent, able to effortlessly demolish large and sturdy trees.

Water Release: Wild Water Wave C rank it allows you to spit out a large water wave to push your enemy back.

Water Severing Wave B rank After kneading chakra in the stomach and converting it into water, the user spews it out as a high pressure stream that is powerful enough to cut cleanly through several thick trees with ease. Ok thats pretty much all of them there also this one that my sensei told me give you since it was made by lord first"

Jiraiya said at last giving him all seven scrolls his face was a little red from talking too much he quickly opened the first Hokage scroll and he was not disappointed

Wood Style: Great Forest Jutsu A rank

A technique that changes one's own arm into big trees. Using chakra, the tissues are transformed into trees at the cellular level. Then, by activating the trees, stimulating them to grow rapidly, they lengthen at high speed and fork into many branches. It is possible to capture the enemy with these branches and at the same time, if one changes the ends into sharp stakes, turn them into countless, sharp, spear-like piercing weapons.

" Wow this a lot pervy sage I dont I could learn this all in a couple weeks" jiraiya eyes twitched at the nickname " I thought I told not call me that you stupid brat, and no I don't expect to learn in a couple weeks its most likely going to take you till you graduate from the academy. I'll also be gone for a year and some change, though I'd suggest start with the wood release since its your kekkei genkai and it'll come easier then go from lowest rank to highest" the old perv said.

Right, left, kick, knee, leg sweep Naruto dodged them all his opponent Sasuke Uchiha, of the once great clan with hundreds of men, women and children now down to just two the murderer and the avenger. Was breathing heavily. This spar has been going on for about 20 minutes now.

It's time to go on offence and so he did, he ran towards Sasuke throwing a fake punch to his left side he put an arm to block his left Naruto switched positions to hit him in his right side of his stomach, in the direction of his liver, he connected Sasuke dropped to a knee holding his wounded area.

Naruto was about to knock him out with a blow to his chin, Sasuke could feel the pressure of the blow by the wind that blew his hair in all directions.

"Thats enough" Iruka loudly called,Mizuki by his side both holding a clipboard.

Naruto tried helping Sasuke up but the avenger glared at him pushing himself up, pushing past him where his fangirls were. Sakura and Ino arguing about who's numer one. He walked up to Shikamaru, Choji and sometimes Kiba he hung out with them the most." So how did I do?" he asked them, Hinata answered first" you did great, you allowed the Uchiha to show off good enough so he can't be last" Naruto turned to Iruka and Mizuki as they were explaining that they had to hit every target 7 out of 10 times to pass with both shuriken and kunai.

They were waiting to be called to see if they can pass the ninjutsu test.

"Naruto Uzumaki your up next" a chunin called out. " good luck naruto'kun" Hinata whispered to him cheeks slighty pink," thank you Hime" he whispered back. He walked out the class through the hallway dozens of other classes from the younger kids. He walked into the exam room, to see Iruka and Mizuki sitting on some chairs with a desk and some organized papers opposite of him.

"Naruto we need you to do the substitution jutsu, the clone jutsu and the transformation jutsu" Naruto gave them a surprised face he thought the test was going to be harder, he still did them all and passed with flying colors.

The classroom was quite when he came in, he sat down next to Hinata and gave her a blinding smile as he showed her his all black headband. Iruka sensei came in and told them that the next day they were going to find out who their team and sensei were going to be.

Naruto was training just outside of konoha in the forest just as he was about to start training on ninjutsu he heard distant shouting and kunai hitting each other, he focused on his sensing ability something which he gained from being an uzumaki. It was Iruka and Mizuki fighting each other he quickly tree hopped over there just in time seeing Iruka being knocked out by 5 Mizuki's he clasped his hands together moulding water chakra. Water hail he pushed his arms outward dozens of water bullets pulverized all the clone's the rest of the water bullets putting holes in Mizuki body going through bone and all, killing him immediately as one went through his skull, he felt like throwing up but held it in.

He slapped Iruka sensei multiple times until he finally woke up " N, Naruto is tha wheres Mizuki he stole the forbidden scroll of seals..." he trailed off as he saw Mizuki dead body" how are you feeling Naruto?" he said kindly voice soft looking at him" honestly sensei not as good as im usually feeling but I'll get over it I always do... besides we need to report to Lord third" Naruto said he was feeling a little sick, his stomach felt as if it had butterflies flying everywhere.

Iruka body flickered them the Hokage office, leaving Mizuki body with some anbu that arrived there. Iruka began telling Lord third everything, up until he got knocked unconscious by the clone's, and so began saying his side of the story.

"Team 7 Naruto Uzumaki, Hinata Hyuga and Sasuke Uchiha"

2 hours later

when is this bastard going to get here, most of the students were gone already, only Kiba Inuzuka, Shino Aburame, Sakura Haruno, Ino Yamanaka, choji and shikamaru were here. Just then the door opened to reveal a beautiful women with wavy long black hair, red eyes, with red lipstick on, and a tall man with spiked up hair and a beard with a cigarette in his mouth, the woman throwing occasional glares at him.

"Team 8, follow me"

And here I was, hoping she'll call out to team 7, slouching over my desk I let a massive sigh of pure disappointment,

"team 10, with me."

3 hours later

finally a man with long silver gravity defying hair, a mask to hide his face, headband covering one eye.

"team 7 meet me on the rooftop."

it was a long walk, they saw Kakashi sensei leaning on a railing some 2 meters away from them," let's go ahead and introduce ourselves my name Kakashi Hatake, and you, redhead you'll go first say your name, your likes, dislikes, dreams for your future."

"well my is Naruto Uzumaki, my likes are ichiraku ramen, Ayame and Teuchi, Hinata, and training my taijutsu and ninjutsu and my toad summons, I dislike a lot of things like how long it takes to cook ramen and my dreams for the future hmmm... I never thought about it."

'he's grown and matured' the cyclops thought to himself he turned to Sasuke who was on Naruto left side, about 4 feet away from Naruto and Hinata who was significantly more closer to Naruto," your turn emo" Sasuke eyes twitched, Naruto was laughing loudly while Hinata was scolding him."tch.. my name is Sasuke Uchiha I hate a lot of things and I don't like particularly anything what I have is not a dream im going to restore my clan and im going to kill a certain someone"

' just as I thought'

"restore your clan... does that mean you want a harem why dont you just ask your fanclub I'm sure they'll all like to have your babies" naruto joked to Sasuke who's eyes brows were twitching even more" that not what I meant idiot" Sasuke fumed.

"good your all unique and have your own ideas, we'll do a mission first thing tomorrow"

"ohh what kind of mission are we going to have" the energetic red head said.

" it's a survival exercise"

" a survival exercise?"

"we already did this stuf at the academy" Sasuke called out.

" this is not like your previous training... of the twenty seven graduates who just came here only nine will actually be accepted as genin, the other 18 will be weeded out and sent back to the academy, in other words this is a make or break it, pass, failed test and the Chance that you'll fail is at least 66 percent" the three kids well adults now had horrified expressions" be at training ground 7 and bring all your training equipment thats it your dismissed... oh tomorrow you better skip breakfast or else you'll puke."Kakashi said as he teleported in a swirl of leaves.

Naruto looked at the other two" well that was intense"he said" yeah no kidding" Hinata replied with concentrated look on her face." So do you guys want to go get some ramen?" Sasuke didn't even bother with a reply left," yes I would love to go, Naruto'kun" Naruto turned to her and was stunned at how pretty she looked under the sunshine.

5:00am

it was still dark out when Naruto got there, old man third finally gave him permission to use his mokuton/ wood release to its full extent. No more holding back he thought to himself whatever survival missions this is I'll pass. Hinata was the second one to get there, looking like her perfect self, holding three small boxes with some napkins on top" hey Hime how are this morning?" he asked her as she got to hearing distance, pink dusting her cheeks." I could do better Naruto'kun, I made these cinnamon rolls, in case Kakashi sensei was late again, here you this one is for you." She handed him the top and largest box, he quickly digged in, not before thanking her. Sasuke came a little late, though not as late as Kakashi. Hinata gave him his box which was the same size as her empty box. As both Naruto and Hinata ate theirs at the same time.

It was 6 hours later and their sensei finally got here and they were all hungry. Naruto was very tempted to go and eat some ramen but he waited.

"morning everyone, ready for your first day" Kakashi said as he magically appeared in front of them" HEY YOUR LATE KAKASHI SENSEI!!!" Naruto screamed loudly making Sasuke flinch awake, Hinata was used to Naruto screaming as she just looked at him dreamily." Well a black cat crossed my path so I had to take the long way here" the one who knows a thousand jutsu but only uses ten at most said" that's actually a good excuse.. why because every time I've come across a black cat I've always had bad luck" Naruto said with a nod hand on chin deep in thought.

Kakashi nodded with him with an eye smile" anyways you see these two bells?" He waited for them to nod and continued" your assignment is very simple you just need to take these bells from me thats all there is to it, if you can't get them by noon which is in one hour, one of you will be tied to a post." He said." But there's three of us and only two bells how are we all supposed to pass?" Hinata said" well the one who doesn't get a bell gets disqualified" Kakashi replied" now you must come at me with the intent to kill, you only have thirty minutes starting now."

All them scattered in the forest, naruto deep in his domain, Sasuke hiding in some trees, Hinata looking for her crush with her Byakugan which proving to be difficult, Naruto was always hard to find, even with her Byakugan.

Kakashi went to find Sasuke first, he found him hiding between some trees, shadow clone the clone's will take care of him and Hinata,' I'll go test and see how strong Naruto is myself' the one eyed man thought to himself," lets see how far he's gotten with his wood release" he muttered to himself, quietly, after all he was the first one to see Naruto grow flowers from his hands.

Hinata eventually stopped looking for Naruto he'll find me she thought to herself, she already knew the whole point of this exam, it was to work together but Naruto was to headstrong and Sasuke was to arrogant to even think of working together.suddenly she felt a disturbance in her chakra, out of the forest came out Naruto with kunai and shuriken poking out his body face bruised blood gushing out his body, she quickly released the genjutsu"you can come out sensei."

Naruto was fallowing Kakashi's chakra signature, coming into a clearing"you can come out now" Kakashi called out what how he thought to himself " how?...I was making sure to completely hide my chakra" Naruto asked more curious than mad he got found out." Well you can mask your chakra extremely well, what you can't hide however is the ninetails chakra that leaks out your seal, nor can you hide your smell." Kakashi told him pointing to his own nose" I have strong nose" he said at last "now shall we get started?" Kakashi said, getting into a stance.

Naruto ran towards him hand going up for a punch which was deflected, his fist breaking the ground and sending shockwaves in the air, such monstrous strength the silver heired man thought, he made hand seals so fast you could barely see them water release: water bullets his stomach filled up with chakra made water, spitting bullets at Naruto, who standing making hand seals of his own.

Naruto quickly made hand seals for water release: wild water wave a giant wave of water spilled from his mouth already absorbing the water bullets.

Kakashi made a giant earth wall which was already chipping and cracking from the pressure of the water. How much chakra did put he in that jutsu it's only supposed to be a C rank he thought to himself some trees behind him were cracking some already fell.

before the fight can go any longer a loud bell rang out echoing throughout the forest. Kakashi who's wall was chipped and broken leapt on top of a tree out of the water wave way" well Naruto that's the end of that!, lets go meet up with the rest!" Kakashi called out loudly to Naruto who a bit out of breath, walking over to him he ruffled his hair" you've really grown naruto" he told him" now I know who you are!, you're Inu right?" Kakashi chuckled "thats right, im surprised you still remember me" he told him, as they were walking out forest into the large clearing where the three polls were, Hinata and Sasuke were there already.

Sasuke was the one Kakashi decided to tie up since he was the first to be defeated after he was done scolding them and teaching them a lesson of being a Shinobi, two bento boxes in front of Naruto and Hinata" once you two are done eating, I'll see if I'm feeling in a good enough mood to give you guys and girl another chance... oh and if you feed Sasuke I'll make sure to drop all three of you from the whole Shinobi program" Kakashi told them, the last part with a menacing aura.

"Both of you eat I'm not hungry" Sasuke said but his stomach gurgled," here Sasuke I'll feed some I guess" Naruto grumbled"you can't, you heard what Kakashi said we'll be forbidden from ever being shinobi!" Sasuke said a little loud" shhh, besides Kakashi isn't here he won't know" Naruto said Hinata nodding in agreement, quickly gave him some food.

suddenly a big cloud appeared as if a large animal was being summoned.

"YOU!!!" he made some hand seals, dark clouds gathering in the sky lighting striking the earth with a loud booming explosion," any last words"

"you said that we were a team and a team stands together!" Hinata squeked out

"yeah yeah what Hinata'chan said believe it!" Naruto screamed terrified he won't be able to become a Shinobi.

Sasuke didn't say anything just glared at the ground.

Kakashi gave a hate filled look before chuckling and saying " you pass... you three are the first team that passed my test" he said " huh?" All three of said at the same time confused. "You pass" Kakashi said at last " a ninja must see through deception, in the ninja world those break the rules are scum.. thats true but... those who abandon their friends are worst than scum" he said smiling down at them, the clouds clearing giving way to the bright sun

"you know he's kinda cool" Naruto choked out with a smile so wide you could blind someone.

they left Sasuke on the poll tied up"Naruto stop being an idiot and help me NARUTOOOO!!!"

"hehe"

As Kakashi entered the Hokage's office he noticed the other two, Asuma and Kurenai there as well,

"ahh Kakashi did team 7 pass or fail" Hiruzen Sarutobi asked him as soon as he came in, the sensei's turning towards him interest gleaming in their eyes, and so he told him everything.

Asuma and Kurenai were wide eyed, when he mentioned Naruto's wood release.

"How strong would you say Naruto is Kakashi?" the old man said with a calculating gaze," If what you told me is true, then I'll put him mid Jonin. The amount of chakra he has is monstrous, he has 2 times the amount you have right now and it'll only grow as he gets older. Though he's not that smart, he goes in fighting no strategy." Lord third said nothing but stayed silent for a moment "that's why I put you as his Jonin sensei you will be able to teach him how to fight smarter and will be able to teach Sasuke about Sharingan when he awakens it." He said "and the Hyuga?" Kakashi replied "well for starters she has the Byakugan, she'll be good for tracking and with Naruto's sensing they'll be able to track anyone. Besides Naruto and Hinata have good chemistry."he told him.

As you can see I'm not that very good at explaining fight scenes.
