Ta-da! I'm finally back! I know I haven't brought you folks another chapter or any other story for a while, but now I'm back again to present part 2 of the Pride Team's Chaos Saga! Now, I won't give much of it away, so I'll just skip right to the disclaimers this time. I don't own Pokemon, the Lion King, Ice Age, the Angry Beavers, CatDog, Sonic the Hedgehog, or The Emperor's New Groove. As you people should understand by now, this was made just for fun.
Now that that's out of the way, please enjoy part 2 of the Pride Team's Chaos Saga, entitled:
The Pride Team's Groovy Adventure!
Shortly after the confrontation between the Pride Team and Captain Gutt's crew, everyone else was quickly getting used to their new home of Switchback Cove.
At the same time, Max and his friends, now with Sonic by their side, were waiting for something else...or rather someone else.
Daggett wasn't a really patient beaver, so he folded his arms and tapped his foot. "Muttering angrily." Literally.
Sid, on the other hand, looked kinda worried for some reason as he kept looking out at sea. "Um, do you guys think that maybe they might be in some trouble?"
Hearing the sloth made Kiara worry a little herself. "I hope not." Kovu gently nuzzled her to offer some comfort. The two lions, Peaches and even Louis were standing with the other members.
"Easy now, guys. Relax." Riolu assured them. He even held up his badge. "I just got a message from Rockruff. They should be here any second."
Dog smiled happily. "Hi-ho-diggety! This dog's happy to hear that!"
Shira couldn't help but ask her own question. "What does the message say?"
Riolu looked at the message Rockruff sent him. "Look out at the ocean and keep an eye out for Granny's whale, Lola, Zazu, pretty much any of the others that can fly...and a plane."
Manny raised an eyebrow. "A plane?"
Most of them were a little confused...all except for Sonic who gave off a grin. "I know what that means."
Louis kept looking out at the sea. "Hey, that might be them!" He pointed at something coming their way.
Everyone else took a look themselves. Sure enough, they were now looking at what the molehog spotted. Coming their way was Precious, Lola, Zazu, Decidueye, Dragonite, and also a red plane. Max even smiled and patted the young molehog on the back. "Good eye, Louis."
Granny waved her pet over. "Over here, Precious! Come to mama!"
Shortly, Precious dropped off those she was carrying in her mouth at the time. She smiled at Granny before going back into the water to do normal whale things.
Now the entire team was reunited. Kiara even hugged her parents in relief. She and Nala giggled a little when Simba smirked and dragged Kovu into the family hug. Diego was by Shira's side as she introduced herself to the other Pride Team members.
Standing with his brothers, Pansear groaned and wrung his tail to get rid of the water. "Next time we go somewhere over the water, I'm hitching a ride with Dragonite or Decidueye."
Pansage couldn't help but agree. "Yeah. For a second, I thought the whale was going to swallow us by accident."
"Oh, come now, my dear brothers. It wasn't that bad. Dear Precious was as sweet as chocolate candy, she'd never do anything as careless as that." Panpour happily twirled a little.
"I wouldn't go too far." Norbert deadpanned, only to get hit on the head by Granny's cane. "Watch what you say about Precious!" She even warned him.
Seeing the rest of his friends made Max sigh in great relief. "I'm so glad you guys were able to make it here safe and sound."
Dragonite shrugged. "I'll admit, we almost got lost trying to find the place."
"Yeah, good thing we had help from the whale, and that little guy." Crimson pointed a claw to his left.
Everyone else turned their heads and saw someone coming out of the red plane. Out of the plane came an anthropomorphic young fox with orange-yellow fur with white tussles and muzzle and chest, white gloves, and also red and white shoes. To the shock and confusion of the Pride Team, the fox also had not one, but two tails.
Cat even rubbed his eyes in disbelief. "Am I seeing things, or does that fox have two tails?"
The fox smiled and walked over to Sonic. "Hey, Sonic!"
Sonic grinned and greeted the fox back. "Yo, Tails! Glad to see you could make it!"
Crash and Eddie looked at each other in confusion. "Those two know each other?" Crash even asked, Eddie just shrugged his shoulders.
The fox, Tails, turned to look at the Pride Team. "Kinda surprised you ran into the Pride Team we've heard so much about." He told Sonic.
The blue hedgehog shrugged. "Yeah, it actually took me by surprise too, buddy. Sure didn't expect to run into them while fighting those pirates on the ice."
"Wait, you've heard of us?" Pumbaa tilted his head in confusion. "Hey, what's going on here? How do you two know about the team?" Timon raised an eyebrow.
"Word of the Pride Team's heroics spread out rather quick, or so I'm told." Tails showed them a paper showing two different stories: One about Max and Riolu defeating Dark Matter and another about the team defeating Shere Khan and a revived Scar.
Dumbfounded, Riolu blinked a couple of times. "Huh. Story checks out." He turned his head to Max. "This feeling like deja vu to you? Because it feels that way to me."
Max nodded his head. "Yeah, takes me back to when the Excpedition Society got a surprise visit from Zazu."
"That's how you and Max met Simba in the first place, wasn't it?" Espurr asked Riolu. The Fighting-Type nodded. "Yep...along with the events that followed after that." He was of course talking about events like the Stampede and the battle for Pride Rock.
"So, what did you two say your names were again?" Sid asked Sonic and Tails.
"I'm Sonic, Sonic the Hedgehog!" Sonic grinned and introduced himself.
Tail introduced himself next. "My name's Miles Prower, but my friends call me Tails."
"I can see why. It's actually pretty cool that you have two tails." Rockruff mentioned.
"Wait until you see this." Tail began to spin his two tails around, and to the surprise of the team, he began to fly a little off the ground.
"Whoa." Crash and Eddie muttered in awe.
Decidueye even nodded in head. "Impressive." Tails landed back on the ground.
"Yeah, they actually help me keep up with Sonic and his speed." Tails mentioned.
"You two must've had some fun times." Simba smiled.
Sonic shrugged. "Sometimes. Most of the time, our own adventures do tend to lead us to saving others. Kinda similar to what you guys do, but...different."
"Different how?" Light asked.
It was then that Rafiki sensed something. "Hmm..." He glanced at Max because what he was sensing was coming from the Pikachu's fur. "Max, you seem to have stumbled upon something during your confrontation with Captain Gutt. I'm sensing a mysterious power of some sort."
Max looked over at Rafiki. "Well...the only thing I've kept with me during the whole mess with Gutt was this odd thing." He pulled out the turquoise gem and showed it to everyone.
While everyone else was amazed by the gem, both Sonic and Tails were shocked as they looked at the gem.
"Sonic, that's...!" Tails didn't even finish.
"Whoa! You got a Chaos Emerald?" Sonic suddenly exclaimed when he saw Max show off the turquoise gem to the rest of the Pride Team.
"Huh? Chaos...Emerald?" Max asked, blinking in confusion, then realized that the blue hedgehog was pointing at the gem in his paws. "You mean this thing?"
"That's not an emerald! Emeralds are green! Like your eyes, kid!" Timon scoffed and attempted to correct.
The blue hedgehog shook his head as he approached the Pikachu. Ignoring what the meerkat said. "Where'd you get that Chaos Emerald, Max?"
"It...just flew right into our paws when we escaped Captain Gutt's ship as it was breaking apart." Max explained, a little awkwardly.
"We have no idea where it came from, or what it was." Riolu explained. "Do you know anything about this 'Chaos Emerald', Sonic?" He put air quotes around the words Chaos Emerald.
Sonic nodded. "Sure do. That gem is pretty powerful, more than you can imagine. It's a good thing Eggman didn't get this one."
"Eggman?" Manny asked, skeptically.
Tails decided to explain next. "Well, most of our adventures involves stopping this scientists known as Dr. Robotnik, or as what we like to call him Eggman. And that's not just because he's shaped like an egg."
Just hearing about Eggman was enough to make Timon, Pumbaa, Crash, Eddie, Norbert, Daggett, Cat, Riolu, and almost everyone else laugh hysterically.
"Eggman?" Crash asked while laughing.
"And I thought Robotnik was bad!" Eddie admitted while laughing.
Timon pointed his thumb over at Sonic. "I like this kid already!"
Meanwhile, both Sneasel and Wynaut were still screaming and falling after the mysterious attack from Totodile. During the fall, Wynaut started to cough since his throat felt sore from all the screaming. To fix the problem, the Bright Pokemon pulled out a water bottle and chugged some of the water down. After that, he cleared his throat. Since it was feeling better...he went right back to the screaming.
The two of them kept on screaming and falling, until they finally crash landed back in the Elephant Graveyard. They landed in front of Ed who was just chewing on a bone until he noticed his two Pokemon friends and blinked in confusion.
Sneasel groaned. "Ooh...that crazy Totodile sure can deal out a hit."
"Ow! I landed on my head!" Wynaut rubbed the sore spot he got on the lump on his head until he noticed Ed smiling at them. "Oh, hey, Ed."
Sneasel got up and popped his back just as Banzai and Shenzi walked over. "Hey! Look who's back from their vacation." Banzai said.
Sneasel just gave his two hyena friends a look. "Zip it, Banzai. That was the worst vacation I've ever went on!"
Shenzi scoffed a little. "Well, well, well, sounds like someone woke up on the wrong side of the cave just before he and his little blue buddy left."
Sneasel sighed a little as he tried to calm down. Wynaut got up and apologized for his friend. "Sorry about that. Sneasel's just been through a lot of unexpected events."
"Huh?" Ed blinked in confusion. "Unexpected events? Like what?" Shenzi asked.
As both Sneasel and Wynaut explained their unexpected vacation to their hyena friends, the five of them didn't even notice someone spying on them from behind a big rock and a pile of bones.
How Sneasel wrapped up the explanation is what REALLY got the figure's attention. "And all of that craziness could've been avoided if Wynaut and I haven't found that mysterious crazily stupid glowing turquoise gem!"
Hearing about the gem made the figure smirk and rub his hands together. "This could be beneficial to me if they stumbled upon one of the emeralds." He said to himself.
Shenzi raised an eyebrow. "Turquoise gem?"
Wynaut nodded. "Yeah, throughout the whole thing we got into a fight with the Pride Team and these pirates just to get the gem we found. We were gonna sell it and get a fortune."
"Of course that WAS the idea, but that gem turned out to be nothing but trouble!" Sneasel huffed. "Let that gem be someone else's problem, that's what I say."
"Are you sure that's what you REALLY want to say?" Another voice suddenly asked. Quickly they looked around to find the source. As he calmly walked out of his hiding spot, the figure continued talking to the five Outsiders. "If you let that so-called 'gem' fall into the hands of someone else, then you'd never get the chance to witness what it's really capable of."
Sneasel, Wynaut, Shenzi, Banzai, and Ed took a good look at their visitor. In front of them was a large, round egg-shaped human man wearing a red coat, black pants, and white gloves. This figure also had a large pink nose and an overly large mustache.
"Huh? Hey, who are you?" Banzai asked the newcomer with a raised eyebrow.
The man chuckled a little. "Oh, how rude of me. Allow me to introduce myself." He bowed a little as he gave off an introduction. "I am Dr. Ivo Robotnik, the greatest scientific genius in the world!"
Sneasel looked skeptical as he folded his arms. "Riiiight. So, what do you even want with us in first place?"
"I was just passing by and I couldn't help but overhear what you two went through just recently. So sorry to hear about your ruined vacation by the way." Dr. Robotnik told Sneasel and Wynaut.
Wynaut shrugged. "Not one of our happier moments, but we've had worse done to us in the past."
"From this group called the Pride Team, correct?" Dr. Robotnik guessed.
That was enough to make Sneasel sneer. "Listen, pal! So far, I'm still having a bad day, and you're not making it any better! So either tell us what you want with us, or I'll freeze you where you're standing and let my three hyena friends have you for breakfast!"
The three hyenas happily drooled at the offer, threat in Dr. Robotnik's case. "Ooh, I like the sound of that!" Shenzi agreed with her friend.
Banzai gave the visitor and toothy grin and kept on drooling. "Better hurry, Doc. You're starting to look pretty tasty." Ed laughed and nodded in agreement.
If Dr. Robotnik was scared, he was doing a pretty good job at hiding it, but he still gulped a little. "Uh, o-of course, r-right away!" He was now digging through his pockets for something. He grinned and pulled something out to show them. "You found something that looks like this, correct?" Right now, Dr. Robotnik was showing the Outsiders a purple gem that looks a lot like the turquoise gem Sneasel and Wynaut found.
Seeing the gem made the two Pokemon gasp in shock. "Y-Yeah! That's what it looks like! Only the one we found is a different color." Wynaut mentioned.
Sneasel held his claws in front of his face to defend himself from the gem. "Get that thing away from us! If it's anything like the last one me and Wynaut found, then it's bound to give us some more trouble!"
Dr. Robotnik chuckled a little. "I can assure you, you have nothing to worry about. You see, this is no ordinary gem, this is what's known as a Chaos Emerald."
"Huh? What's a Chaos Emerald?" Shenzi asked. Since curiosity got the better of him, Sneasel lowered his arms and raised an eyebrow.
"A Chaos Emerald is an emerald that holds incredible power. Just using one of the seven Chaos Emeralds would be enough to power an entire city or even something like say a killer robot I make one day." Dr. Robotnik began to explain.
"Wow." Wynaut said in awe. Sneasel blinked. "You said that there are seven of those? So, what happens once you use all seven of those things?"
Dr. Robotnik grinned. "Glad you asked. Once you use all seven Chaos Emeralds, you would become an unstoppable force! No mere hero would be able to stop you, not even this Pride Team I've heard so much about!"
The eyes of the two Pokemon and the three hyenas widened after what they just heard Dr. Robotnik told them. Could the Chaos Emeralds really help them finally gain the upper hand against the Pride Team!? Sneasel began to smirk and rub his claws. "Okay, Doc. You've got our attention. Perhaps I don't mind being around these Chaos Emeralds some more."
"I knew you'd be interested once you knew the truth about these beauties." Dr. Robotnik said. He even allowed Sneasel to hold the purple Chaos Emerald.
Ed looked at the emerald and happily laughed. Just as he was about to reach for it, Shenzi used a bone to bonk him on the head. She took the emerald from Sneasel before she glanced at the scientist. "Hold on a second, Doctor. You seem to know about us and these emeralds and yet we have no idea about them and you. No one would just give this kind of info to someone they've just met. You're hiding something, aren't ya?"
Dr. Robotnik raised his hands up a little. "My, my, you're a sharp one, aren't you? Well, all I can say is that I can understand what it's like having an evil plan ruined by your enemy."
"What do ya mean?" Banzai asked while tilting his head.
"I would've made the entire world remodeled into a glorious robotic empire with or without the Chaos Emeralds, but every plan I make is always ruined by an enemy of my own!" Dr. Robotnik growled angrily as he thought back to his enemy.
"Ah, so you have your own enemy, eh?" Sneasel asked.
"Take a look at this." Dr. Robotnik showed them a holographic image of his enemy. "This annoying blue hedgehog you see is called Sonic, said to be the fastest thing alive. I've had many encounters with that annoying blue pest before I even met with the five of you."
"Let me guess, you and this Sonic guy have had many fights involving the Chaos Emeralds?" Wynaut asked.
Dr. Robotnik nodded. "Correct. Not only that, but that speedy blue hedgehog even used all seven Chaos Emeralds against me or any other strong adversary and claimed victory without a problem!" The hologram changed into a different image. It was still Sonic, only now his eyes were red and his quills were glowing gold.
Shenzi looked back and forth between the hologram and the Chaos Emerald. "Whoa! That hedgehog got that much of a boost and transformed because of these emeralds!?"
"Indeed. All seven are so powerful that not even that Pikachu, Max would be able to stop one of my Death Egg robots." Dr. Robotnik turned off the hologram.
Sneasel nodded as he began to understand everything. "Okay, I think I'm beginning to understand why you came to us. You want us to work together to find these Chaos Emeralds and finally be rid of the Pride Team and this Sonic the Hedgehog once and for all, right?"
"Knowing how the Pride Team tends to show up to save the day almost as much as Sonic, it would only be a matter of time until they end up fighting against me and my robots even if I hadn't have met you. And I'm sure the same could said about Sonic and your team called the Outsiders. So, I figure we can both get rid of our enemies together and get what we all want thanks to the power of the emeralds." Smirking, Dr. Robotnik turned to Sneasel. "That giant rock known as Pride Rock could even be your own kingdom. Think about this with me: Alongside my theme park, Robotnikland would not be Pride Rock, but Sharp Claw Rock instead."
Sneasel began to smile happily, nodding a little as well. "...Keep talking."
Dr. Robotnik spread his arms out. "All of the Pride Lands can be transformed into a glorious paradise for the Outsiders with you ruling as the king...the king of the Sharp Claw Lands! A glorious kingdom where the hyenas can have as much as they can eat...and more!"
Now Sneasel, Wynaut, Shenzi, Banzai, and Ed were BEYOND happy about what Dr. Robotnik promised them. "Now that's music to my ears!" Banzai was happily drooling again.
"No more Max the Pikachu, no more Pride Team, and for me no more Sonic the Hedgehog!" Dr. Robotnik concluded. He held a hand out to Sneasel. "So, what do you say, my Dark/Ice-Type friend? Do we have a deal?"
Sneasel looked at the hand, then the Chaos Emerald, until he finally smirked at Dr. Robotnik. "Doc, you better believe we have a deal." As he shook hands with Dr. Robotnik, Sneasel held up his Outsider badge Shenzi gave back to him. "Just tell us where the rest of those emeralds can be found and I'll inform the rest of the Outsiders on our new plan."
Dr. Robotnik chuckled. "Funny you should mention that..."
As the evil scientist and the Outsiders were talking, no one didn't even notice that a pair of eyes were watching them from behind a big rock.
The pair of eyes belonged to another hedgehog. He looked like Sonic, only he was mainly black with some red on him, plus he had rings on his wrists and ankles. "So, that's how you want to do this, eh, Doctor?" The hedgehog quietly said just before he suddenly vanished.
Back in Switchback Cove, both Sonic and Tails just explained what the Chaos Emeralds can do to the Pride Team.
"Whola-boga, that's major craziness!" Daggett exclaimed. "Lucky for us, Max still managed to hold on to the Chaos Emerald after the fight with that Totodile." Norbert added.
"We were actually out hunting for the emeralds when I helped you guys fight the pirates." Sonic mentioned.
"So, how were you able to know where to find the one Max was holding?" Ellie asked.
Tails held up a gadget in his hand. "I made this to help us look for the Chaos Emeralds. I pointed out that one of the emeralds was moving slowly and in a strange way to Sonic just before he sped off to find it, and that's what led him to fight along side you guys."
Max remembered the last fight he had against Totodile. "You know, now that I think about it, I think that Totodile with Captain Gutt said something about finding all of the emeralds."
Sonic looked serious. "I remember that unusual Water-Type, he sounded pretty desperate to find all of the Chaos Emeralds. And I thought Eggman and a certain bat girl we know were big on hunting for them."
Simba looked pretty serious. "This is major. Now that we know how powerful and dangerous they can be, we can't let these Chaos Emeralds fall into the wrong hands! We should help them look for the remaining emeralds." Most of the other members agreed with the lion king.
While surprised, Sonic and Tails smiled a little once they heard that the Pride Team were offering their help to find the other Chaos Emeralds. Suddenly, Tails' radar began to beep, so he took a look at it. "Look! There seems to be another Chaos Emerald over that way." He pointed in the direction where another emerald might be.
Sonic, Max, Riolu, and even Pumbaa took a look at the radar themselves. "Uh-oh." the warthog muttered.
"What do you mean by 'uh-oh'?" Riolu asked. "The Chaos Emerald's too far away and we're on an island, and the emerald's too far away." Pumbaa answered.
Tails smiled and walked over to his plane. "There's no need to worry, Pumbaa. It's not as far as you think. We should be able to get there quickly on the Tornado."
Sonic turned to the first two members of the Pride Team. "So, you guys up for an adventure?"
Max and Riolu turned to each other, smiled and nodded. "We're in."
Max turned to the others. "Here's the plan, guys. Timon, Pumbaa, Crash, and Eddie? You guys are with me, Riolu, Sonic and Tails. The eight of us will go track down the Chaos Emerald Tails' radar picked up." The four in question looked at each other in confusion.
As if he was in a classroom, Dog raised his hand. "Hey, Max? Shouldn't the rest of us come along too?"
Max shook his head. "Sorry, Dog, but I kinda doubt there's enough room in Tails' plane, and I believe Precious deserves a break as well." He smiled once Granny chuckled a thank you. "It'll be easier and safer if the eight of us go and find the emerald."
Riolu stepped up to say something assuring. "Besides, this gives you guys a chance to look around Switchback Cove. Or find a way to get back to the Pride Lands, you guys are grown animals and Pokemon, I have no control what you do." He sheepishly added the middle part.
Timon turned to the possums and raised an eyebrow when he saw them looking at the Tornado in excitement. "Judging by the looks on your faces, I'd say you two can't wait to get going?"
The two of them nodded. "This could be awesome!" Crash said in excitement. "I'd like to see another of those Chaos Emeralds myself!" Eddie added, just as excited as his twin.
Ellie, being the stern mother-like figure she is, walked over to her possum brothers. "Just be on your best behavior while you're on the mission, got it? Promise me you two won't do anything that could get you both and the others into trouble."
Crash and Eddie knew the tone their sister was using all-too well, so they gulped in fear and nodded. "We promise." They both said together.
Quickly, Ellie gave them a sweet smile before picking them up to hug them. "Good."
After saying good luck, Simba and the others watched as Max, Riolu, Timon, Pumbaa, Crash, Eddie, Sonic, and Tails got on the Tornado and flew off to find the Chaos Emerald. The hedgehog was standing on the wing of the plane instead of sitting down like the other seven.
As he watched them depart to find the Chaos Emerald, Rafiki looked beyond serious. "I have a feeling that this situation goes deeper than we think. Great kings of the past, I ask that you keep watch over the entire Pride Team as you have before."
And...done! That ends the first chapter of the second part of the Chaos Saga! I know the characters didn't appear yet, but as the title hints at, the next Chaos Emerald is found somewhere in the area of one of Disney's greatest movies ever: The Emperor's New Groove! So, the next chapter will have funny characters like Kronk and Yzma in it while both the Outsiders and the Pride Team go and search for the Chaos Emerald. Until then, see ya later, faithful readers!
