None of them are expecting it when Ruby suddenly collapses. The younger girl had been trailing behind the rest of them a bit, and she had been quieter than usual, but that wasn't really any cause for concern. It's been a long day. They're all exhausted, Ruby had definitely seemed tired.

But not tired enough to just collapse on the way back to Beacon. They'd only been walking for a few minutes. It should have been easy, nothing compared to everything else they've been through today.

And yet Ruby had folded silently to the ground, unconscious, without making a sound. If Blake hadn't heard the quiet thump of her collapse, they might not have even noticed for a bit.

"Ruby?" Yang is the first one at her sister's side, crouching next to her and frantically calling her name. "Ruby, wake up!"

There's no response from her sister. Ruby doesn't so much as twitch.

"What's going on?" Weiss asks with a frown.

"I'm not sure, it seemed like everything was fine and then I heard her fall," Blake explains.

"I knew she'd been thrown around a bit by Torchwick and his goons, but she said she'd be fine until we made it back to the dorms." Weiss folds her arms across her chest. "I'm starting to think that maybe that wasn't quite true."

"Guys, she won't wake up." Yang is sounding even more worried than before. She reaches over to shake Ruby's shoulder slightly, careful not to be too rough in case of hidden injuries. "C'mon, sis, snap out of it." The older sister looks up at her teammates. "She feels pretty warm, too."

"Do you think it's safe to move her? There's not a whole lot we can do for her here," Blake points out.

"I'll try to keep her as still as possible," Yang promises, gently hoisting her sister into her arms. "We can't just leave her out here."

"I'll see if I can flag down a medic," Weiss offers. "I know I saw a few of them around here earlier."

It's time to get the heck out of here-and figure what's going on with Ruby now.
