Itami sighed as he slumped in the seat of the Humvee thinking back to the previous night's cultural exchange, as Walker had put it, and the princess' declaration an hour ago.

THE PREVIOUS NIGHT

"Well, this is interesting." Walker said smiling watching the JSDF soldiers of the joint recon team mingle with the maids that were assigned to them. Itami turned to face him.

"What is?" he asked curious of what the Earth-born republic commander meant. Walker glanced at the lieutenant.

"Seems to me that we're having a cultural exchange between Japan and Falmart." The Commander said.

Itami then saw Kurata attempting to flirt with one of the maids or at least talk to her since said maid was a cat girl.

"CORPORAL TAKEO KURATA REPORTING MY LADY! I'M TWENTY-ONE YEARS OLD. MY HOBBY IS ANIME AND I'M TOTALLY SINGLE. ONE-HUNDRED PERCENT SINGLE!" the man exclaimed before bowing. The maid, who's name was Persia, was flabbergasted at the man's actions. Not too long after, Persia began to laugh at Kurata's nervousness, confusing him.

"Karabast, poor guy's practically nervous having actually met a cat girl." Blitz said before slyly looking at Walker. "Reminds me of the time you proposed to your wife."

Walker's face turned beet red. He hadn't been so nervous in his life. Sure, confessing was hard enough, but proposing to Riyo had been an entirely different ball game. "Oh? Mind sharing?" Itami asked.

"NOPE!" Walker said sharply before glancing around the room. The maid that had Rabbit ears was complimenting Kuribayashi's fighting skills, but his gaze returned to Kurata, who was drinking tea.

"So, how's the tea? Persia asked cheerfully as Kurata sighed in bliss.

"It's the best tea I've ever tasted." He said making the cat girl giggle with glee.

"Where's Doc?" Blitz asked. "He's missing out." Not too long after he said this, the door opened to reveal Bozes and Doc.

"Um… I don't suppose you'd mind me joining in, do you?" the blonde ringlet asked. Itami smiled.

"Not at all, also I forgive you for what occurred." He said making the knight temporarily confused.

"What do you… oh." Bozes said having realized what he meant. She blushed.

What followed intrigued Bozes as Walker shared stories about the Republic and its history. She particularly enjoyed the tales of the jedi.

THE NEXT MORNING

Pina was panicking about what she had just heard. Itami had to return to his country to debrief their senate.

'The Japanese have a Senate?!' she screamed in her head. 'If he reports ill words about us, it could mean the end of the empire!'

The princess glanced at Itami as he and his group prepared to leave. "Sir Itami, I wish to visit Japan." She said hastily.

Itami turned around in bewilderment. "YOU WANT TO WHAT!?" Itami said, eyes wide in shock.

Pina then collected her bearings. "You heard me Master Itami." Pina said with a determined look on her face. "I wish to visit your world.

PRESENT

Itami turned when he heard movement next to him. "The generals will be waiting for us at Alnus." Walker said before Kuwahara added.

"They also say we're to treat the princess like any other diplomat." He said before the lieutenant groaned.

"She's really coming with us." He moaned out silently before seeing Kurata chat with Persia. 'At least someone's happy.'

"Take it easy Persia." The 3rd Recon's second Otaku said happily as he waved goodbye "Love you!"

"I'll be waiting for you!" the maid said as she returned the wave.

And so, with the Princess and Bozes in tow, the Joint Recon Team finally departed for alnus. However, before the trip to Japan could be made, it was delayed by a sudden surprise arrival and a weapons' demonstration.

"Princess, we're already there!" Bozes said in shock. Pina was about to speak up when there were several noises, both familiar and unfamiliar.

Glancing out the window, the princess and her escort saw attack helicopters, and tanks doing training runs.

"First Steel Pegasi, now steel elephants." She said breathlessly before her eyes widened at what was following the tanks.

She and Bozes quivered as an AT-TE lumbered into view. "A giant Steel Beetle(1)." Bozes said before feeling a hand on her shoulder.

Turning, the ringlet-haired knight saw Doc without his helmet on. "Pretty impressive if you weren't on the receiving end huh?"

Bozes nodded wearily before both gunfire AND blaster fire were heard. "Fire magic!?" Pina exclaimed before turning to the Alnus refugees. "Is every republic and Japanese soldier a mage?!" Lelei shook her head before explaining.

LATER IN GENERAL HAZAMA'S OFFICE

"Ah, you must be the princess that Obi-wan told me about." General Hazama said holding out his hand towards the princess in greeting. Pina cautiously took it.

"We're aware that you wish to visit Japan, but before we approve Alnus has other things to deal with." The General continued. This caught Bozes' attention.

"What other things?" she asked curiously as to what could delay the princess' visit.

"Well, a demonstration of firepower by the Republic as well as the arrival of their chosen diplomats for the JSDF and the Saderan Empire respectfully." The general said.

Meanwhile

"All right lets get this gear ready for demonstration boys." Walker said. Many shinies, as well as Hell fighters began to set up a firing zone for the Republic's weapon demonstration to the JSDF.

To the Earth-born Commander's surprise, Kuribayashi and many JSDF personnel decided to lend a hand. Many of them we eager to see what the Republic's weapons could do.

Suddenly the sound of familiar engines, to the clones and Kuribayashi, were heard. Glancing up, Shino's eyes widened as an all-chrome aircraft, escorted by smaller yellow and chrome tipped fighter flew overhead.

"I had a feeling the republic would send her." Hornet said before noticing the look on Kuribayashi's face.

"That's a royal Nubian Barge and Nubian N1 starfighters." She stuttered before shakingly looking at the clones and non-clone commander.

"Yep." Hornet said. "Who do you think Senator Amidala will be representing the republic to?" Blitz asked.

"No idea, let's find out." Walker said seeing that the practice range was practically set up. He then departed in order to greet the republic's representatives to the JSDF and Saderan Empire, respectively.

MEANWHILE IN THE REPUBLIC BASE

Obi-wan and Cody had just seen Senator Amidala and her entourage off when a voice spoke up. "Casey wouldn't happen to be on base would he, Master Kenobi?" the two turned and their eyes widened.

A/N: CLIFFHANGER! Judging by how said person addressed walker, we can assume as to who the second diplomat is. Anyways that's chapter 8 in the bag. Next chapter will be more or less focused on the republic's demonstration before they actually head to Japan. As always please read and review. That said, peace.
