Nervously wringing her hands to try and keep them steady Uraraka continued anxiously pacing the living room again after having second thoughts. It didn't help that her son was curiously keeping an eye on his mother as he observed the way she walked back and forth as he lay on her bed sucking on his pacifier he held in his hand.

"What was I thinking agreeing to this?" She quietly asked herself after checking the time again. Kenzo offered to take her but was called away to help Hawks over in Kyushu today.

"This isn't a good idea." Making up her mind she picked up her baby while searching through her phone for the last message she'd received to come up with some excuse until she felt her shirt slowly being soaked with drool. "Eww Kiseki…" she wrinkled her nose as she unamusingly stared down at her grinning boy who continued to make tiny little air pockets form in his mouth until she could see the tip of his little tongue stick out. "Oh so we're blowing bubbles now, are we?" she shot her brows up when he decided now was a good time to wipe what drool was left on his mouth to wipe it on her shirt again. "That's gross…" she groaned quickly grabbing a bib on the table and snapping it into place.

At least his outfit was still drool free for now while she on the other hand had to sort through hers to find something else to wear now.

Kiseki must've sensed something was off since he never particularly enjoyed his usual checkups, but then again, she couldn't blame him since every one of them usually involved some kind of shots.

"Don't think that this will get you out of your monthly doctor visits mister." She carefully placed him inside his stroller before picking up her bag next and deciding that it would be best if she took the train instead of having Bakugo take her like he said he would.

If she canceled now, she was sure she would catch him before he even left his place if memory serves her right. That'll save them both the hassle of having to sit in a doctor's waiting room. Typing up a quick message, her eyes catch the time and widen.

Making sure she had everything she needed she was just about to hit 'send' and open her door to try and catch the train when she came upon Bakugo already waiting right outside her door.

"Eight-thirty, right?" He uneasily shifted in his spot, while keeping his hands hidden in his pockets. "Damn I guess I'm kinda early huh?" he gives a nervous half smile which was so unlike him and made her momentarily stop to stare until it dropped into one of his more irritated scowls. "What?"

"N-nothing." She dismissively blinked as she raised her phone to check the time again to see that he was at least half an hour early.

"I knew your ass would try and pull some shit like this." He answered her silent question, when he saw the uncertainty on her face.

"Like what?" she asked stepping aside to allow him in.

"Look how about you safe us both some time and just let me do what I told you I would." He only stepped inside the apartment far enough so she could close the door behind him.

"Yes but-" protesting would have been futile when she locked eyes with his already bored ones. "Ok just give me a minute."

Indifferently shrugging he let his eyes wander around the apartment as he walked behind her until his eyes involuntarily began following the little sway of her hips as she walked as well as the form fitting black shorts she decided to wear today. It had him questioning just what the hell he was doing right now.

"Is there something wrong?" she asked obviously flustered that she may had caught him staring at her butt this whole time, but she couldn't be sure since the tips of his ears turned a deep red while his eyes remained fixated on his clenched fists on either side of him.

"Just hurry up." he embarrassingly mumbled while still refusing to meet her eyes. Memories of that day all just came rushing back all at once. The alley and crashing into that building was something he could deal with…but the memory of what it felt like to be so close to her kept awakening feelings he never remembered having, nor was he willing to act on them or study them further.

"Bakugo?"

"What?" His voice came out angrier than he intended it to but that didn't seem to faze her in the least when he finally decided to look up enough to see her hesitatingly glancing between her son and himself.

"I guess…I want to say thank you."

He was about to tell her to hurry the hell up otherwise they would definitely be late, which was something he never did nor would start now until something else made his throat suddenly go dry.

"What is it?" She could see those red eyes briefly widen before he decided to turn his burning face to stare at Kiseki instead.

"Round-face what the hell happened to your shirt?"

"Huh?" Peeking down she just now remembered she had failed to grab another top during her haste, so Kiseki's drool gave anyone who saw it a clear view of the front of her pink bra. "EEP!" Covering her chest she briskly made a beeline for her bedroom. "I-I'll be back!"

"I…" So, there he stood like a fucking sixteen-year-old hormonal teenager in the middle of her living room who just got a sneak peek at her bra and waiting for her to return. 'What the fucks wrong with me?'

He was a damn grown ass man! Things like this shouldn't be happening to him.

"S-sorry." She stuttered, appearing in a pink top that had a sunflower plastered on the front that she grabbed out of a pile.

He wasn't sure whether it was that, the flushed cheeks, her flustered demeanor or just the fact that this was Uraraka…but damn it was harder to keep his eyes away from her.

"Ready?" she gave herself a moment to calm down enough and just hoping he wouldn't mention that he got a good sneak peek of her chest.

Meeting her eyes as she turned to him was a huge mistake on his part since her eyes that now felt like melted chocolate made his stomach turn to knots. "Whatever." Walking past her he snatched the diaper bag from the stroller and without waiting for her stomped right out the door.

"Well that was weird..." She continued to stare at the open doorway before turning to Kiseki and locking the door behind them.

After exiting her apartment complex, she came to a sudden stop when her eyes landed on the familiar orange and black Toyota GR86 carefully parked in front of her building and it seemed like time had stopped.

"This kid friendly enough for you?" Rolling his eyes he moved over to open the trunk and help her with the stroller until he noticed that she hadn't moved a muscle.

"You…you still have it…?" She softly breathed out, worried that her voice would give away the emotions building up from the many times she remembered sitting in it back in school.

Everything was the same from the smooth sleek design to the seats. Everything…except for a few items inside from what she could tell since her feet seemed unwilling to move at the moment.

"Course I do. Why the hell wouldn't I?" He frowned, dragging his eyes from his car then back to her. "Are you going to get in or do I need to throw your ass in?" he frustratedly groaned, yet somehow that idea didn't sound too bad now that he thought about it which only made him inwardly cringe and want to punch himself. 'This is going to be hell…'

Sounds of traffic, horns honking and the occasional fussing of Kiseki sitting in his car seat was the only sound that could be heard on their way to the pediatricians.

After leaving her apartment the two of them fell into a comfortable silence which he preferred any day, but then he was stuck with the constant thought of what he'd seen in her apartment which only was made worse whenever he'd hear Uraraka giggling at something Kiseki was doing or trying to console him when he became more and more antsy with the current traffic quickly piling up.

He tried not to stare at her too often, but it seemed that the more he tried the more he failed. Just wondering what the hell he was thinking offering her a ride now too?

'This is stupid…' he irately scolded himself for feeling so weak whenever she seemed to be around. Hell, he could barely contain his stupid mouth from saying things he hadn't planned on saying.

And then there was her car.

Gripping the steering wheel tighter he took a deep calm breath in and focused all his energy on the damn road in front of them.

Maybe Todoroki was right, and she should have just rented one of those cars from work until hers was fixed. After all, there was no reason why he should be sitting here like some damn chauffeur just because he may quite possibly find her attractive and somewhat tolerable.

"You're awfully quiet today." She timidly continued playing with her finger pads. "Are you still sour about before?"

"No I'm not." He really was. I mean how hard was it to let him open a damn door for her?!

"Ok." she pressed her lips together to hide her own amusement allowing the silence to drag on a little before her son let out a small whimper.

The soft sound of giggling echoed in his ear when she reached over to tickle Kiseki's toes when he began to uncomfortably wiggle in his seat. The brief gesture was innocent enough, but it nearly made him jerk the wheel to the left when he felt her breath tickle his ear making him shutter and instead lean forward in his seat. "Shit…"

"Sorry." She apologetically smiled and sat back in her seat to watch the cars in front of them.

"You ever heard of personal space?" he frustratedly narrowed his eyes at the other cars. "Try it."

"I said I was sorry." She pouted while folding her arms over her chest and staring out her window. She should have remembered that Bakugo was actually a really good driver from all the times she'd witnessed it before and took it just as seriously as his work. But the enclosed space only made it harder not to want to lean into him as his sweet caramel-like scent continued to lure her in and want to do just that.

Having deeper feelings for someone while unable to show them was torture in itself, one she wouldn't wish on anyone. But she came to realize that while she was here…she would allow herself the briefest of moments when he wasn't looking to bask in just the thought of being close to him again. This may not be the same Bakugo that once loved her, but she still loved him…even if he may never know it.

"What the hell?!" he barked out when the car in front of him came to a sudden stop.

But he was still Bakugo in the end.

"Why do they call it rush hour when nothing moves!" he growled while rolling down his window.

"It's fine, we still have some time." She tried to tell him as he poked his head out to shout at the person in front of them who seemed to be moving at a snail's pace now. "Bakugo are you listening?"

"Yeah, I'm just ignoring you." He huffed still glaring at the other car before honking his horn. He would consider himself to be somewhat patient but careful when it came to driving, but not when it came to stupid assholes who didn't even know how to drive or what turn signals were made for. So eventually he came to the conclusion that the world wasn't necessarily full of assholes, but they were strangely placed so that you'll come across one every day. Every. Damn. Day. "Come on move it!"

"Bakugo we're heroes, for all we know there could be a student driver or perhaps a nice little old lady in that car." She stared incredulously at the father of her child—her child who seemed to find comfort in Bakugos shouting after he'd apparently fallen fast asleep in the back.

"What?" Bakugo annoyingly squinted his eyes before obnoxiously beeping his horn again speculating that maybe she was right and perhaps the slow driver in front of them had either fallen asleep during traffic or just having a stroke. "Oi! Wake your ass up and get moving Helga!"

"Oh my gods…" Embarrassingly covering her face Uraraka was suddenly surprised that the cars actually started moving now but still couldn't help but wonder and hoping that she was wrong and that there wasn't a nice little old lady behind the wheel.

"Haha! Alright." Proudly bouncing in his seat Bakugo took this moment to smugly grin back at her as she rolled her eyes before heading to their destination.

The feeling of comfort began settling in his heart when he saw the smallest of smiles she tried to keep hidden as they silently continued to drive.

He realized that he would probably spend tomorrow with her too after work and the next day until her own car was fixed. But for right now…all the confusion and struggles he had been dealing with over the last few weeks began to dissolve into the back of his mind.

At least for now.

X

Waiting in line felt like pure torture with every second dragging by before they were able to get checked in. He was just impressed that Uraraka had good sense to tell him to come earlier since she apparently was used to this. But that didn't change the fact that he always hated waiting on anything.

With every silent apologetic glance she shot him, he only grunted in return knowing that this wasn't her fault.

"Hey Bakugo if you don't mind, can you get my wallet out of my purse." She asked still bouncing Kiseki in her arms after he became overly fussy.

Snatching the purse from her he tried doing as she asked but for the love of God couldn't find shit in there. He had heard horror stories from the guys about never going through a woman's purse, but her purse was organized like a mini tornado had been through it and he had no intention of putting his hand in there for fear that something would latch onto him.

"Hell…no." he slowly scowled, quickly handing her the purse back in exchange for the child. "There's no way you're making me dig through that death trap."

"It's really not that bad." She chuckled and within an instant pulled out her wallet. "See."

"Tch." Shaking his head he couldn't understand how in the world she could find anything in there. "Remind me to teach you how to organize."

"You did." She shyly mumbled.

"Well apparently you didn't learn shi-" Snapping his mouth shut he could feel every parent's gaze now on him along with their kids who were eagerly waiting to see what he'd say. "What? Don't you people have something better to do than listen in on someone's conversation?!" he snapped before returning his attention to her.

Pressing her lips together in a tight lip smile Uraraka watched as the people in front of them were almost done. "And I did learn just for the record."

"Apparently not." He scoffed, moving when she did and stepped close enough only for her to hear. "And your ass gets an 'F' on that."

"What?" she gaped whipping her head sideways only to see him smirk and move over to the front desk.

"Hello." The woman smiled from her computer. "How may I help you?"

"Yeah I'm here for the kid's checkup or whatever." He mumbled as he waited for Uraraka to join him.

"And your child's name and birth?" The woman asked hovering her fingers over the keyboard.

"W-what?" Bakugo choked, really coughing and trying to swallow his shock at this woman. "N-no lady I'm not…he's not…Uraraka!"

"Coming!" she quickly rushed over and carefully patted his back as he continued vigorously coughing. "Hi there, I'm Ochaco Uraraka, Kiseki's mom…we have an appointment-"

Anything else that was being said he managed to drown out since that question harshly caught him off guard. His gaze swiveled over the waiting room as he entered looking for a place to sit. The overly colorful room was decorated with different zoo animals lining the yellow walls, a toy area and aquarium in the middle of the room. A TV played quietly in one corner which he could use as a distraction to possibly help keep his mind off that awkward moment.

"Sorry about that." Uraraka breathlessly sat herself down with Kiseki eagerly trying to lift his head enough to look around. If she had to be honest, she wasn't even expecting Bakugo to get out of the car and come inside with her since he did seem far out of his comfort zone even as he frowned up at the TV. "I didn't mean to keep you waiting." She continued to talk until she realized he wasn't even listening. "And you're not listening."

"Course I am." He scoffed, never removing his eyes from the cartoon.

"Oh?" She confidently folded her arms after placing Kiseki inside the stroller. "Then what did I say?"

Inhaling deeply, he gave her a brief glance from the corner of his eyes before turning back to the TV where he could see a little girl trying to talk to an animal. "You were apologizing for her screw up." Raising a challenging brow, he waited for her to say something snarky but instead saw her jaw drop. "Don't test me Round-face. I win every time."

"Not…every time." She huffed slouching back in her seat.

"Yeah. Every time." He smirked turning back to the Television to see the same girl now standing next to a boy as they both told the audience to reach for the apple on the tree. "The hell…? Why don't they just jump?"

Amusingly smiling Uraraka observed the way he unknowingly leaned forward with interest as he continued watching what was going on. "It's a child's cartoon Bakugo."

"Tch." Shooting her a small glare he decided that his time was best served looking through his phone instead. But she'd still catch him sneaking small glances at the TV whenever something new happened.

'If the guys could see the big bad Bakugo intriguingly watching a child's cartoon right now, they'd never believe me otherwise.'

Closing her eyes she tipped her head back before slowly opening them and caught a peek at his phone screen. She could see him reading through articles on birth, taking care of infants, doctor visits and breastfeeding, which he quickly exited out of before snapping his head sideways in time for her to do the same so he wouldn't notice her watching him.

She fondly smiled, finding that small gesture cute and thoughtful. First it was one of her romance books and now this? Bakugo never ceased to amaze her.

She wasn't sure how long they waited since she kept busy trying to keep Kiseki entertained in the meantime, but when she found a minute to look over at the blond he was still aimlessly scrolling through his phone.

Scoffing he continued to look through his notifications and missed messages from everyone that day. Most agencies in Japan— if not all—always had their PR's advise them to keep up to date with any news, any social media as well as events going on in order to increase their popularity and appearances, so he figured he might as well read through some of them now while they were waiting. "Don't know why the hell they require an appointment when they're taking their sweet time." He mumbled.

"You know you don't have to-" she was about to tell him that she would be fine if he didn't feel like sticking around when the door opened.

"Uraraka, Kiseki?"

"Yes." Getting to her feet she gathered all her belongings before pushing the stroller forward and was about to tell Bakugo she'd be right back but was startled to see him still right behind her even as she moved down the hall to follow the nurse to a small room to her right.

"Good morning." The nurse greeted them as she carefully opened the door with a clip in hand. "I'm nurse Nakamura…Doctor Kobayashi should be along any moment." Finally glancing up from her notes Uraraka could have sworn she saw the woman's eyes nearly pop out of her head when she caught sight of Bakugo making himself comfortable in one of the chairs just behind her. "Hello…."

"Good-" Uraraka's own greeting went on deft ears when the nurse placed the clip board on the exam table and walked right past her. "…I guess it is." Uraraka pressed her lips into a thin line as her attention shifted from the woman and back to Bakugo who looked just as taken aback by the sudden attention.

"You're Dynamight." She extended her hand out to him.

"Yeah, so?" Scowling down at this woman's hand he was just about to tell her off until he saw Uraraka uneasily shifting in her spot next to her son. Rolled his eyes up to the ceiling he decided to not piss off the woman who could float him to infinity if she really wanted to, so instead he quickly shook the nurse's hand which only made Uraraka's eyes widen in surprise.

"I'm such a big fan and if you need anything…"

Snatching his hand back he gave a curt nod in Kiseki's direction. "How about you help the kid."

"Oh right!" The woman shook her head like she had just now noticed the others in the room with them and hastily picked up her clip board once more, obviously flustered to have a known pro hero here.

Uraraka had known of his overfly populated fanbase but to actually witness it made her stomach sink.

From his spot in the corner Bakugo silently observed the way Uraraka's posture still seemed tense, and never once did she look in his direction as she answered all of the nurses' questions without trouble until the doctor finally came in and introduced herself.

"Ok so if you don't mind let's place little Kiseki here…." The doctor lightly patted the examination table which piqued his interest and found himself moving over to stand next to Uraraka.

Kiseki looked up at his mother, clearly confused as to why she was so far away from him, before turning his frightened crimson eyes to Bakugo next and reaching out his tiny hand.

"What now?" he lowly whispered, dangerously narrowing his eyes while the doctor had her back turned towards them as Uraraka raised her finger for Kiseki to hold.

"It's just a simple checkup Bakugo." Uraraka whispered back although her eyes remained on her child.

"Simple huh?" Huffing, he found himself unwilling to sit down and observed everything the pediatrician was doing in preparation for his physical checkup with the nurse right behind her. "How much longer?"

Checking his weight, height, ears, eyes, heart, and lungs as well as checking his reflexes and head circumference all seemed pretty harmless until he saw the nurse preparing to pull out what he could only describe as an over exaggerated needle.

He knew he was being overly protective of the little guy, but he couldn't help it. He didn't like the way that needle looked any more than Kiseki seemed to when he saw the little boys' eyes frighteningly widen.

"Bakugo, sit down." Uraraka quietly whispered, feeling him stiffen next to her. It wasn't that she was particularly fond of this part either since her heart broke for her baby but knew it was just routine.

"Fine right here Cheeks." He lowly growled clenching his fists as soon as the doctor approached them.

"Bakugo…"

"No we get it." The nurse exchanged smiles with the doctor. "As a new parent you're always on alert anytime something happens to your baby. So it's perfectly normal for the parents to feel this way during checkups."

"P-parents?!" They both turned to each other with wide eyes before quickly looking away.

Uraraka inwardly panicked, feeling her face redden despite it being the truth. But to hear it from someone else's mouth made her fearful of what his reaction might be. She nervously waited for an outburst to come but instead found Bakugo still watching the pediatrician with an obvious blush on his cheeks.

"H-he's not…" she stuttered rubbing the back of her neck.

"Oh I'm sorry." The nurse awkwardly smiled but now didn't feel the need to hide her obvious fascination with him, much to Uraraka's frustration.

"So little Kiseki seems to be in perfect health for someone his age." The doctor commented.

Uraraka's shoulders relaxed upon hearing that but nonetheless continued listening in to what the doctor had to say.

Some part of her still waited to hear from him but instead, saw his face twisting into a scowl anytime the doctor would place her hand closer to the needle. But since he didn't yell at her she assumed he was just as embarrassed by the situation as she was.

"So he's growing and eating the way he's supposed to and is in the 90th percentile in height…"

"So that's it?" Bakugo suddenly asked as he discreetly moved closer to the table. "We're done?"

"Not quite." The woman knowingly smiled as the nurse moved over to prepare for his shot.

Bakugo began to panic along with Kiseki as they both turned to stare at Uraraka to do something.

"This won't hurt too much." The doctor gently says as she wiped one of his exposed thighs.

Uraraka could feel it before Bakugo took a step forward as her hand shot out to stop him.

"But-"

"It'll be fine." Uraraka calmly said trying to convince him as well as herself that their child would be fine.

"Are you looking at the same shit I am?!" He whisper shouted as he watched in horror at the way this woman basically jammed that thing into his thigh making him as well as the child wince in pain.

"Ok we're all done-" As soon as the nurse placed the band-aid on, he didn't hesitate in snatching the boy up and protectively tugging him straight into his chest all the while glaring at the two women as Kiseki's loud cries filled the room.

Bakugo knew what these kinds of doctor visits entailed after reading up on it in the waiting room…but to actually see that huge—alright it wasn't that big— needle was something he didn't like nor ever wanted this little boy to experience again.

Uraraka continued to comfortingly rub her sons back as Bakugo bounced him while listening to what the doctor was saying and nodding along.

"Keep doing a great job and we'll see you again next time." The doctor smiled before excusing herself.

"Next time?!" Bakugo angrily frowned. There was no way this kid was coming back from another one of these no matter how tough he was.

"Here. You forgot this." The nurse quickly picked up a piece of paper before handing it to him.

"I didn't forget shit." He mumbled as he glared down at it.

When they were done Uraraka couldn't help but smile when he didn't waste time to get out of the room while still clutching Kiseki protectively against his chest as the small baby rubbed his face on it. Fussy baby or not she watches as the little boy drops his head down on his shoulder as she tries to catch up to Bakugo's long strides out of there. And it's like a boulder bears down on hers at the same time when she realizes that during the short amount of time that they've known each other, both boys seemed to already have formed a bond to each other that neither seemed to be aware of yet.

"Damn that lady was taking her sweet time." He angrily spat out, only stopping when he noticed she was no longer walking next to him and instead was leaning against the counter by the front desk again.

"That's her job Bakugo" She tried to reassure him while Kiseki's cries sobered down to whimpers. "And he's tough."

"Hell yeah he is." Bakugo chest tightened when he saw the baby's lip temple. "The toughest I've seen."

Family smiling Uraraka stopped to begin talking to the front desk woman.

"Some screwed up job that is." He grumbled as he continued to try and soothe him while Uraraka went to schedule his next appointment. "What was that?" he asked once they walked out of the building.

"What was what?" she confusingly asked, pushing the stroller forward while he still held Kiseki in his arms.

"You just singed him up for another one?!" he gawked at her like she was the most awful person in the world. "Why would you do that Round face?"

"He has to have one every month."

"Yeah well that shit was brutal." He mumbled as he dug his keys out, ignoring when Uraraka gestured for her son. "I've got it you cruel woman! And you call yourself a hero…"

"Is that really necessary?" placing her hands on her hips she wasn't sure whether to be insulted or touched that he seemed to be so protective over him.

"I'm not the one planning his next visit." He settled her with a pointed look after strapping Kiseki in his car seat and helping her open the trunk. He knew she only did what any good mother would do but that didn't make this whole thing any worse for the little guy.

"Well I'm sure she won't have a problem with you visiting again" She muttered a little louder than she meant to when he stopped what he was doing to glance down at the paper still clutched in his palm.

"What?"

"What? I just said she seemed nice that's all." Snapping her mouth shut she dismissively shook her head, hoping that in a way they could just pretend she never said it.

The last thing she wanted was for him to think that she was jealous—which she wasn't. Anyone with a good pair of eyes could see what a good catch he was, and he was single so he was free to do as he pleased. "And besides this visit wasn't as bad."

"Yeah, as pleasant as a root canal." He answered just as she moved over to the passenger's side. Looking back down at his open palm he could clearly see the nurse's phone number scribbled down in red ink before he let his eyes follow the direction Uraraka had disappeared off to.

Balling his fists around the paper he allowed his quirk to reduce it to mere ash before dumping it into the nearby trash can and heading towards the driver's side.

X

"Thank you for coming with us today." She began to say once they finally got home and took Kiseki out of his stroller and into his playpen.

With a faint grunt he awkwardly continued to stand near the door, forcing his eyes to look anywhere but at the way she was bend over at the moment.

"Are you thirsty?"

"What?" he cluelessly blinked back at a confused Uraraka as she walked into the kitchen. To be honest he felt many things, but water was something his stupid mind wasn't thinking about right now.

"Are you alright?" she warily asked as she got on her tip toes to reach into one of the cabinets to pull out a glass for him.

"Great." He sarcastically mumbled, pinching the bridge of his nose when the hem of her shirt began to rise up as if daring him to do something.

Frowning when the tip of her finger grazed one of the glasses in the back, she was just about to use her quirk when she felt Bakugo step up next to her and reach in.

"Before you say anything this will save us both the trouble before you break something." He gruffly says before walking over to the sink.

"Thanks…" She quietly responded watching the odd way he seemed to be deep in thought as he poured himself some water. "Are you sure you're ok? The pediatrician's appointment wasn't too much was it?"

"Hell no." Fixedly shaking his head he gave a brief glance towards the living room before leaning back against the countertop. "Or have you forgotten we've had our fair share of doctor and hospital visits?"

"Yeah, I guess you're right." She gave a dejected laugh thinking of how right that statement had been. She couldn't even remember how many times any of them ended up in a hospital bed one way or another, but that's one of the sacrifices one had to make in order to be a hero. But sometimes it could keep her up at night thinking about what would happen to Kiseki if she didn't make it home from one of her patrols like that one day where Bakugo had to save her all because she messed up and wasn't paying attention.

"Oi." He could see the pained look in her eyes and knew it well. They've all had close calls one time or another, but it seemed she was still trying to cope with that.

"Sorry."

"Well if it helps, it was my first time at a pediatricians office." He confessed, placing his glass on the counter. "Usually try and avoid running into little brats if I can help it."

"Well, Kiseki seems to like you." She reminded him and she could see him flick his eyes towards the other room. "And he's usually a good judge of character."

He chuckled, thinking that Kiseki still didn't like him. "What are you talking about? That kid still gives me hell."

"And you don't?" she raised an amused brow as she began taking things out of the diaper bag.

"Oi when I do it it's because I have good reasons." He argued stubbornly folding his arms over his chest. "Bedside's I already told you I don't care what people think about me, if they can't handle the truth then good riddance. I'm not a nice person and I'm fine with that, I'll happily tell someone-"

"I think you are." She stopped what she was doing to give him a small smile which he wasn't expecting. "Nice I mean." She clarified, thoughtfully glancing down at the bag. "In your own way."

"Well I'm not. So stop saying that." He warningly narrowed his eyes.

"If you weren't you wouldn't have offered to help me with Kiseki or even offered to help me until my car gets fixed. Correct me if I'm wrong." She found enjoyment in the way he only seemed to repeatedly open and close his mouth only confirming that this time at least she had won this round. "Exactly."

Scoffing he could only watch her walk around the counter and disappear to the living room when Kiseki began to whine as he remained standing in the same spot. Whirling around he quickly refilled his glass with water before downing it in one gulp and closing his eyes.

Maybe he was coming down with something and needed to see a doctor too.
