Finally, after four days, the group had been reconnected with fresh air and greenery.
"Free air! Finally!" Blue threw off his backpack to frolick around. "Wide space!" He forced a tree into a hug, startling a few birds away. "Trees!!!"
Yellow took a deep breath from her spread out position on the ground, ignoring Blue's antics from the side. "It's nice to be outside again."
Red nodded in agreement,"They weren't kidding about the difficulty of getting through Mt. Moon. It feels like an accomplishment to actually do it."
Yellow sighed in elation. "The only thing that could make this better is a bath." She opened her eyes with a slight disappointed pout.
"Luckily, we can."
Yellow sat up to stare at Blue who was standing with a proud grin. "Really?! Today?!"
"Yup. There's a lake nearby. About two hours that way." He nodded his head northeastward. "Gramps told me about it. It's not on the map because it isn't very big but it'll suffice."
Yellow got up fully, promoting Red to follow. "So what are we waiting on? Let's go!"
/
"This." Yellow sighed. "This is bliss."
They had set up camp near the lake. The Pokémon residing here were surprisingly gentle and made easy friends with their own Pokémon, inviting them to a game of tag. Blue couldn't resist the temptation and joined ten minutes later. He was currently the tagger and was having difficulty catching the creatures.
"Hey, flying's cheating! I can't reach up there!"
The birds and Hoppips only giggled and laughed before evading his swats.
"Dinner's ready!" Came Red's call. For the first time in a while, today's dinner was something other than noodles.
Leaving Pewter City, they had not packed many perishable foods such as bread in fear of them going bad in a humid area as Mt. Moon . They instead packed foods such as cereal, pasta, powdered milk and granola bars.
Luckily, all the Pokémon's food came in cans so they never had to change anything regarding their diet.
The pokemon all ran over to their individual bowls, recognizing them by color. Red directed Clefairy to a green bowl. He had filled it with various things (vegetables, berries, meat..). A Clefairy's diet has never been truly discovered as owners of the line have reported that their Clefairy tends to eat anything given to eat, human food or otherwise.
Red intended to try and stamp down on why this was. Every pokemon has a reason for why they eat something. Surely, there was a reason Celfairys had no preference? Perhaps they got their energy somewhere else?
"Tell me whatever you don't like okay?"
Clefairy gave an affirmative before digging in. Red got up, noting of how Clefairy squinted when she looked up. Clefairy's were primarily nocturnal so they can't stay out in strong sunlight for too long. It might be better to keep her in her pokeball more often until he could get her a pair of sunglasses.
"This looks great!" Blue said while taking a seat. He waited all for five seconds before digging in.
Yellow shoved the food in her mouth to one cheek in order to speak, "After eating cup noddles and water for the past four days, anything will taste good right now."
Red favored eating over answering, just nodding his head in response. He couldn't wait until they get to Cerulean.
Even if it was just for the food.
It was gonna take them a while to reach Cerulean.
See, there was a reason that Cerulean City was named after the color representing the sea and sky. It tended to rain.
Not often, no. Cerulean wasn't very close to the coast at all in comparison to other cities and stuck to its normal rainy season cycle. But when it rained, it rained a lot.
There's actually a history behind it. Before Cerulean City was a city, it was an old barren land. Then several years later, a princess visited the land. It was during the 1700s and political marriages were still running strong. So the girl had run away from her family because she did not want to be forced into marriage. She came to Cerulean and prayed to the gods for food, for rain. And the gods took pity on her. Everytime she asked, it rained.
Now people say even though she died, she still worries about the city not having enough water to grow food, and that is why it rains that heavily.
Red did not quite believe the story but scientists have tried and could not explain why it was like this. It was nice to think about some beautiful runaway princess worrying about them though.
Except for this moment.
"We'll be stuck here for hours at this rate." Blue whined. Or at least it looked like he did. Red could not hear him properly through the sound of pouring rain.
The group had stopped to hide under a nearby cliff, probably going to be stuck there until the rain decided to ease up.
Contrary to what it sounds like, they had prepared for rain. The waterproof tents and umbrellas tucked into their bags was proof. But when they felt the first drop of water on the tip of the noses, they only had a minute to stop and plan before the water was beating at their skins.
"Well there's nothing we can do." Red took off his backpack. "I'll start to prepare dinner."
Yellow faced him. "Without fire?" Her head tilted in confusion. "Or wood?"
Red shrugged. "Well I have Charmander." He looked around. "As for wood..." Taking in the sight of pouring rain, his shoulders fell. "I have no idea."
He turned back to the others. "Anyone up for cup noodles?"
His friends groaned in union.
The beautiful rain finally decided to disappear around seven in the morning. However, the water made the air cold which in order, tested Blue's resolve to get out of bed.
"Come on!" Red grunted as he desperately tried to drag Blue out of the tent. He was losing. "We need to hurry up before the rain decides to come back! Or we'll never get anywhere!"
"Red, it feels like a Pokémon used Hail out there!" Red yelped as he was kicked. "If you want me out, you'll have to drag me." The brown haired boy met his stare defiantly. "Kicking and screaming."
Red clicked his teeth but dropped his hold of the boy, allowing him to swaddle back up in the sheets. He stared at the human turned cacoon, trying to think of ways to get the boy out.
"Just leave him alone for a few minutes." Yellow put a plate of scrambled eggs on the table. "I'll have Bulbasaur take him out later."
"How are you even awake?" Red asked curiously. "You hate the cold more than him?"
"Pure strength of will." She went back to the pot, not allowing her gaze to stray away from it. "I can't even look at a bed right now or I'll dive right back in."
A laugh burst of him at the pure ridiculousness of the statement. He shook his head in disbelief at her.
His friends relationship with sleep was mind boggling.
/
"The Shadow Syndicate is making new moves." Yellow announced as she scrolled through an article. Meowth laid on her shoulder, half-awake.
"Them again?" Blue asked in exasperation. He had a half eaten apple in his hand with Squirtle walking by his side.
"Is it in Pewter again?" Red inquired, with Charmander trailing beside him. The fire type seemed to be half listening to the conversation. Viridian City and Pewter City were the only ones to be attacked so far. With Pewter being attacked twice for different reasons.
Yellow shook her head minutely. "It's Vermillion City. Apparently, they had attempted to kidnap the gym leader but was stopped by a member of the Elite Four, Lorelei!" Her voice rose higher at the end, exposing her shock.
"An Elite Four?!" Blue exclaimed in excitement. "What was she doing in Vermilion City?"
The Elite Four. The toughest Pokémon trainers to have ever participated in the Pokémon league, just short of the champion himself. To become an Elite Four, you would have to defeat one of the current ones in a battle on agreed terms to take their place. Similarly, the elite four could attempt to take the champion title by defeating the champion.
Red walked closer to peer over her shoulder carefully, not wanting to disturb Meowth. She was way more cranky than her trainer when awoken. "Does it say anything else?"
"Mmhm." Yellow shook her head disappointed. "Just about how citizens were grateful for the help and is reassured of their safety."
Red nodded solemnly. "Makes sense they would censor stuff." His hands found their way to his pockets. "They know so little about the organization already, it wouldn't be good to have the people panicking about unknowns."
Yellow nibbled on her lip a bit in worry as her eyes scanned the comments. "But the people know something's up anyway. They're talking."
Blue bit into his apple again, not completely interested. "They are?"
"Yeah but mostly online." The girl gestured to her phone. "People like to speculate on what is happening. The league should give some information on what's happening or someone might try to take finding out into their own hands."
Red stared ahead grimly. "And that's just a way for them to get hurt."
"Hey Squirtle!" Blue cried indignantly from the side.
Yellow nodded. "It's a frequent thing in history with reporters. I've had to argue with my mom a few times to not go digging everywhere you can find for information." She glanced back down to her phone. "So giving some information would placate the public and have them wait before making a move."
A heavy sigh came out of Blue as he folded his arms. His Squirtle had the rest of the apple in its hands, having stolen it a moment ago. When Charmander walked over for a piece, it broke it in two and other it a piece. It peered up at Meowth to ask if she wanted some but the cat was still very much napping. "This is all getting very depressing. Frankly, I don't even understand the obsession with taking over the world. Wouldn't that be too boring?" He asked rhetorically. "Being the ultimate ruler? Since nothing can escape you, you won't ever have fun?"
"You think their goal is to take over the world?" Her face was scrunched up in thought as if it took all her brain power to imagine it.
Blue instead looked to her with innocent confusion, "Well what else could it be?"
"It could be that it's for revenge." The girl tossed out. "Maybe a loved one died and they're angry at someone." She stepped over a small puddle with a grunt, trying not to jostle Meowth too much. "The government is trying to hide something and I can't simply believe when you say it's overpopulation. The Pokémon league is ignoring it." He stared at her as she frowned. "Or possibly helping." She met his stare to show how serious she was. "It must be way more serious."
Blue stared at her for a moment before shrugging with a small closed eye smile. "Yeah, after a while we didn't believe us either." The smile slipped off his face as he stared at the horizon. The sun was peeking out from behind some clouds. Shy but blinding as usual. "There's something serious happening in Kanto and none of us know what."
Red frowned as his heart picked up in worry. His Charmander had stopped nibbling on the apple to look up at him in concern.
"I'm alright Char." He smile dropped slightly. "I just wished we could go forward to a time where everything is content."
Oh how he wished. But this was happening and no one would be there to protect them. No one to comfort them and no umbrella to shelter them.
Red glanced at his friends before turning back to the horizon.
He better prepare, for them and himself.
Just because they didn't have shelter, didn't mean it wasn't gonna rain.
/
"I just wish there was a way to decide if you wanted to be born you know? We just exist to grow up, go to school, get a job, get married then rot away for the next thrity to fourty years." Yellow complained. "That's boring. What if I wanted to be a duck? Wouldn't I be a great duck Red?"
The boy did not even glance from his book but nodded his head with a hum. "You'd be the best duck."
That seemed to do it for Yellow who went back to rant. "Right?! I'm already good at swimming and I'm not even a duck yet!"
Nor would she ever become one Red thought. But the girl clearly wasn't ready for such a conversation.
"What's this about ducks?" Blue asked as he walked into the camp, his Pokémon following him. Pichu, who was with them, bounded up to the table Red was sitting at.
The trainer patted her head as she hopped upon the table, "Did you help Rattata with Thunder Wave girl?"
"Pi!" The Pokémon saluted.
"She managed to form some static actually." Blue sat down at the table. "Pichu didn't go easy on her; she was surprisingly strict." He chuckled. "I think Rattta gained a new sort of respect for Pichu."
Red chuckled along with him as Pichu got embarrassed and ran off. "That does sound like her."
Blue looked at the notebook on the table. "So what are you writing now?"
"Some observations on Clefairy." Red answered. "She really eats anything and I managed to to talk to her-" At the cost of a terrible headache. "And she said she doesn't get much energy from food."
"What?" Blue glanced over to Clefairy who was playing with the other Pokémon. They seem to be talking, about what, Blue had the slightest clue. "Then do they get it from the moon?"
Red smiled widely, eager to share the news. "No actually. They get it from emotions!"
Blue leaned back. "What?"
"It makes sense!" Red said. "Fairy types are known to evolve through strong bonds rather through items like evolution stones." He gestured to his notes. "When they are sad, it's known that they get extremely weak and are barely able to fight, and cases where Fairy types die is usually days after their previous owner did die or have abandoned them. Blue." He stared at Blue who looked shell shocked. "They live on emotions."
Blue blinked at looked over to Clefairy, Red following his eyes. She seemed to sense their stare and happily waved at them, bouncing just a bit.
Blue turned back to Red before grinning, "Gramps is gonna love this."
"Okay Clefairy." Red began. He had a stop watch in his hand as he stared down at the blindfolded Clefairy surrounded by Pichu and Charmander. "Today is the starting of your blind training. Being sensitive to light, you won't be able to use your eyes all the time. Thus, blind training. This will allow you to rest your eyes while remaining completely capable of going through your day and fighting battles."
"Cle!" The Pokémon responded happily.
"Okay, we'll start with a thirty second attack. The we'll go up by that interval until two minutes." When he got confirmation nods, he clicked the timer. "Start."
Charmander went on the attack first with a simple Scratch. Clefairy's ears twitched, clearly hearing the wind created from the force of movement, but it still got nicked at the end trying to dodge.
It was then headbutted by Pichu who came with a Quick Attack. Red watched as Clefairy stumbled, glancing at the watch. Twenty-three seconds left.
This training was not only for Clefairy eye problem. Clefairy's were naturally sensitive to sound but Red intended to expand on this so she could better deal with multiple opponents if ever the case. Pichu's triumph was her speed and Charmander's was his power. Clefairy's would be her excellent hearing and incredible range of moves.
He called for them to stop as the timer rang out.
"That's good. You managed to mostly dodge some of the attacks. Just try to focus on both Pichu and Charmander." When she nodded, he added thirty more seconds to the watch. "Let's go again."
This time Pichu striked first with a Spark. The crackling electricity must of made her actions more noticeable because Clefairy jumped in the air, dodging the attack. She was struck down by a tail swing from Charmander who had jumped after her.
"Cle!" She cried in pain as she was slammed to the ground.
When she didn't immediately rise, Charmander's face became worried and he walked up to her seemingly asking if she was alright. Pichu had also paused in concern.
Red was about to ask if she was okay to continue, when Clefairy suddenly hit Charmander with an Ice Punch, the only punching move her clan successfully taught her. It was shaky and practically ineffective against Charmander but it still caused the salamander to fly backwards, narrowly missing Pichu who yelped. The fairy type stood up and faced their direction, makeshift blindfold swaying with the breeze.
"Clefairy." She smirked.
Red chuckled in amusement, shaking his head. Clefairy were naturally cute so it was easy to forget that they were just like any other Pokémon. And just like any other Pokémon, Clefairy seemed to have no reservations about using tricks to get the upperhand.
He turned to the still shellshocked duo. "Well you heard the lady." The corners of his lips rose a bit. "Don't go easy on her."
/
For the last two rounds Clefairy began to fight back more, getting a feel of the attack style. By the end, everyone was panting in exhaustion.
"Good job you guys." Red lifted Pichu on his lap to scratch behind her ear and Charmander walked over to layed his chin on his leg to recieve head pats.
Using both hands to attend to two of his partners, Red looked up for his third. She was watching them with the blindfold in her hand, having taken it off.
The boy smiled and patted the free space, closer to his torso. "There's space here for you too."
Clefairy's face bloomed with happiness and she skipped over to him, the power in her wings making her bounce appear like gliding.
Once she was nestled close to him, he gently took the cloth from her fingers. He began wrapping it around her hand.
"It's only been a short while since you've joined us Clefairy so I want to make something clear." The fairy looked at him attentively as he tied the knot. "We're a team." He said firmly. Charmander and Pichu had both raised their heads to peer at their trainer, taking note of his serious tone. "We look out for each other. If there is something wrong, say so and we can work it out. No sitting and stewing and no lashing out okay? Clefable warned me about that."
Clefairy appeared sheepish and looked away.
"Cle." "I've been working on it."
"That's good." Red nodded. He patted her head. "Just letting you that you won't be alone. There were too many of you to recieve individual care from Clefable but don't have any hesitation in bringing your worries up to me. I'll try my best to make things better." He smiled as he saw tears gather in her eyes. "That okay with you?"
"Clefairy!" The Pokémon hugged him as tight as she could with her small arms, crying all the while.
"Pi!" Clefairy looked to Pichu who stood in Red's lap. She had her hands on her sides before pointing to her chest. "Pichu!"
"Cle!" The Clefairy nodded.
"Charmander!" Charmander piped up from his spot. He was unwilling to remove himself from his comfortable position but wanted to assure Clefairy enough by raising a hand to show his agreement. "Char!"
Clefairy began to tear up again and she dived out of her trainer's arms and towards her new friends.
"Clefairy!!!!"

Blog Title: "Risk and Reward"
"Risk and Reward: Is it Really Worth It?"
Dear Readers,
I feel all of those reading this article has a healthy understanding of what exactly a risk means. After all reading this article is a risk itself.
By reading this seemingly insignificant post, this ignorant rambling of an unimportant person butting into a deeply taboo topic in society, you risk your life. You could be shamed and scandalized unrelenting for entertaining the ideas and opinions of those born gifted. You would be punished because you dared to consider showing a spit of humanity to what is ironically, human. You should be punished because you tried to care about any other life than your own.
Because that's what this is about right? People's lives.
It's about the lives of the people who are rejected by society. Dismissed and declined like an invitation on a busy weekend. Segregated and shunned for being different.
And this is not mere racism, no. For gifted ones do not differ in the color or their skin or the shape of their eyes. We are all similar in such ways.
It is that power that resides beneath their skin, woven in their brains and lingers within their hearts. That's what makes them different. But that cannot be enough. It SHOULD NOT be enough.
Gifted have lived on this earth for as long as Arecus himself, numbers dwindling with every decade. These powers were a gift from the lord himself and humans spit on his creations as if it were trash.
Yes, they can be dangerous. But so can't you?
What of the thousands of murder cases being reported every years. The kidnapping, the rape, the trafficking? Are these not all crimes that can be carried out by an ungifted?
The shunned do not ask for much. Only a chance. An opportunity to prove themselves, to reconnect with what was once lost and be loved again. As humans.
I know it may be difficult. Some have turned to the dark as it is much safer than the light and you should be cautious. But there are many kinds of gifted out there, kind ones.
It is a risk. A big risk. I am asking a lot without even offering anything in return.
Nonetheless, can you consider it? Taking a risk? For-
"You sure are going away at that."
Yellow squeaked in surprise as she jolted, her fingers pressing random letters in the keyboard.
"Don't sneak up on me like that." She turned back to her phone to erase the gibberish she wrote. "I've been think about the kidnapping of those people in Pewter. I met one of them you know?"
Blue took a seat next to her with a sympathetic look on his face. "Yeah?"
Yellow nodded a little. "He was the owner of a hot dog stand. He was actually the one to recommend visiting the museum." She thumbed the end of her phone. "He was really nice."
"Yellow-"
The girl's head whipped towards him. "Which is why I found it unfair."
"Huh?"
"No one showed sympathy for them." Yellow's jaw was clenched, eyes narrowing with tears at the corner. Her had squeezed her phone tightly. "There were even comments saying they were better off being left for dead! It's ridiculous!" She spat. "They're humans too!"
"Yellow..." Blue squirmed uncomfortably. It was always made him uneasy when Yellow got on a rant like this. "That's just the way it's been-"
His eyes widened as Yellow shot up from beside him. She faced him standing. "That doesn't make it right!" Her hands clanched at her side. "And I'm tired of you guys saying that. Don't you wanna be free? Do you not want to walk the streets without worrying about someone finding out you're Dark?"
Blue smiled awkwardly. "It would be great Yellow but it just..."
"Of course." The girl wiped her tears in the sleeve of her blouse. "It's just normal right?" She turned around and began to walk away. "Why do I even bother?"
"Wha-?" The boy got up. "Yellow!"
"Don't follow me!" The girl stalked towards the woods walking past Red who had just returned from training.
The only raven head of the group turned to his fellow male. "What the hell just happened?"
Blue only sighed. "I fear we may have messed up."
/
Yellow glared at nothing as she sulked away at an old stump. As the memories of Blue's words resufaced, she huffed once more.
"Seriously..."
A nudge to her thigh had Yellow peering down. Bulbasaur smiled up at her tentatively and Yellow picked him up.
"Sorry for being so moody Bulbasaur." She rubbed his bulb causing the Pokémon to coo in pleasure. A small bud rested between the petals of its bulb. It had been there for a while now, harmless and mysterious. "I'm just frustrated at my friends being so stupid."
"Bulbasaur."
"They've always been supportive of my struggles but I'm not doing this for me. I'm doing this for them." Her eyes were downcast as she stared into nothing. Her patting of Bulbasaur's bulb slowed as her mind strayed into thought. "And honestly, seeing them-"
"Sen!"
Both trainer and Pokémon jostled as something came crashing into the field.
Yellow's eyes widened. "That's a-"
The pokedex on Yellow's belt blinked twice. "Sentret. The Scout Pokémon. A Normal Type. Its tail is quite strong and Sentret is capable of balancing on it for extended periods of time. As a very cautious Pokémon, it scouts the area keenly and cries out a warning to its neighbors when danger is near. Sensitive to air pollution, they are not frequently found near cities."
"It's hurt." Yellow stood up and made her way over to the Sentret who gritted its teeth, small whimpers coming out of its mouth occasionally.
"Hey." Yellow made her voice soft. "I'm here to help okay?" Gentle hands brushed through the Sentret's fur, pink aura surrounding it. "You're not alone."
Bulbasaur released a sweet fragrance to calm the Sentret as it was being healed and as the pain subsided, so did the agonized expression of the normal type. Yellow smiled. "There we go, it's going to be just fi-"
"Yowwww!"
All three of the group jumped as a new Pokémon lept into the field. It growled at them threateningly.
"Sen!"
Sentret tried to rise up from its position, only to flop back down uselessly.
"Tret..." It said weakly.
Yellow's eyes moved from the Sentret to the new Pokémon. She took in its battle ready posture. It's eyes were narrowed and saliva was dripping from its mouth. "Did you do this?"
"Mightyena. The Bite Pokémon. A Dark Type. Mightyena has a very fine sense of smell and uses it to hunt down prey. Once hunting a scent, Mightyena will chase it down until it has exhausted itself beyond movement. They are not intimidated by size and will attack larger foes if needed. With sharp claws and pointy teeth, their bites are dangerous and can do a lot of damage."
Mightyena roared at them and began charging dark energy between its maws. Yellow reached for Sentret and they all managed to dodge the Shadow Ball before it hit.
As Yellow thought about telling Bulbasaur to use Sleep Powder so they could run, another Shadow Ball was fired.
"Bulbasaur, use Razor Leaf!"
As the moves collided into dust, the scene vaguely reminded Yellow of the battle she had during the Vermilion City attack.
She and Bulbasaur could not land on move on the Herdier then. And the trainer had been overcome with boredom and had forcefully finished the battle.
Yellow frowned as she thought about it. She had to be ready whenever they had to face off against the Shadow Syndicate again and to do that she'd have to battle stronger opponents.
She rested Sentret on the ground gently and walked in front of it, behind Bulbasaur. "Bulbasaur, we're battling."
The starter glanced back at her before taking a more aggressive stance. "Bulbasaur!"
Yellow nodded in determation. "Use Energy Ball!"
The attack came quick, thousands of practice having been cashed in through Bulbasaur's favoritism towards the move. Mightyena was forced to jump out of the way in order to not get hit. It continued running towards Bulbasaur, opening its jaws wide.
"Dodge Bulbasaur!"
The Pokémon jumped diagonally into the air, missing the teeth by a margin.
"Vine Whip!"
Two vines came out like snakes, slithering around Mightyena's neck and squeezed. The dark type yelped before it was thrown towards the trees.
Bulbasaur remained on guard as it waited for the Mightyena to attack. Said Pokémon got up to its feet and shook its head to get rid of any lingering dizziness. It growled at the grass type, Sentret long booted from its mind. It opened its maw to gather energy once again. With the tell tale rings, Yellow recognized the move as Dark Pulse, Blue's favorite dark move. He had vowed that it would be the first dark TM he buys for his Squirtle.
"Oh no you don't. Razor Leaf! Blow it up!"
"Bulba!"
The leaves hit the semi-formed moved located in the Mightyena's mouth. At the presence of foreign energy, it blew up in its face. The Pokemon wobbled, stunned.
"Now Vine Whip!"
"Bulb!" Bulbasaur surprised her when it turned to call to her, raising a vine to point at the tip of its bulb where the small bud was glowing. It seemed to be squirming a bit, trying to get out.
"Is that...a new move?"
"Leech Seed. This seed grows from Bulbasaur's back. It remains harmless for a few days before it starts to zap at Bulbasaur's energy. Bulbasaur uses it to fire at enemies and free up space where a new bud will quickly emerge." Came her Pokedex's helpful input.
"So that's what that was!" Yellow exclaimed in awe. She pointed at Mightyena. "Okay, Bulbasaur, use Leech Seed!"
Bulbasaur grinned at the order and like a bullet, the seed planted itself in the dark type's fur. Quickly the bud bloomed and vines grew out of it to wrap around the Pokémon. It fell to the ground, too out of energy to even cry in protest.
Yellow sighed in relief as the Pokémon fell. "We did it!"
Bulbasaur turned around with a happy cry.
"Oh right!" Yellow turned back around to the Sentret and kneeled down beside it. "Let's get you healed up nicely."
They returned to the task of helping the Sentret when a minute later, thumping came from the side of forest where Mightyena lay.
Turning around, Yellow's heart became doused in dread as a pack of Poocheyena was revealed.
"This must have been that Mightyena's pack." Yellow thought fearfully. There was no way she could beat all of them with just Bulbasaur.
"Bulbasaur." She began as quiet as possible. The poocheyena had assessed the state of their leader and had now turned their anger towards Yellow. "We're gonna have to run."
"One." She took up Sentret surreptitiously. "Two." She slowly began to stand. "Thre-"
Attacks suddenly came on the pack from the side while two more came from the air. Yellow gasped, wondering if she had to worry about more Pokémon now when two very familiar humans stepped out of the shrubs.
"I though we agreed on a quarter mile radius?" Blue asked with a smile.
"This is within a quarter mile idiot." Red said shaking his head. "It's why we found her so fast."
Blue shrugged, glancing at the battle between the pasck and their Pokémon. "I failed math." Was his only excuse.
Yellow laughed. It had only been over an hour but she had already missed them.
"Red. Blue."
