Marie slept in the Pokémon Center of Nacrene City while Kevin and Rolf trained to get better than Marie. As they both returned, the reader identified who this Marie really was, an Impostor while the real one was sealed away. After returning, Kevin and Rolf defeat Marie as they decide to train her at Mt Wheel.

Chapter 28: Mini Movie 1: The Papers Part 1 (The Apology Chapter Part 1)
[Subway - Jake and Yuna, of the City Kids]
Jake and his remaining friend, Yuna, were riding in the Subway. Jake had no time to hang out with friends and also his 2 friends, Trixie and Fresh, think it's no longer cool to hang out with Jake anymore now that Chip is no longer in the team. Trixie and Fresh were currently dating and all Jake could do is wish for the best for them… For now, Yuna was his last hope in tranquility, even though all she does is be on her phone… Jake really felt bad for his last friend, Chip was her soulmate, even if he was secretly a Pokémon.
The Subway Guard approached the two immediately getting from his happy side to hisenacong side.
"Kid… How many TIMES do I have to repeat myself?! NO BADGE, NO SUBWAY!!" The Subway Guard roared, but both of them did not budge as both looked either monotone or depressed.
Jake sighed as he revealed the many Basic Badges he got.
"What the…" said the Subway Guard. "Those are fake! I don't believe you're legally allowed to have more than one of the same badge!!"
"Can't you see? I'm Aspertia City's New Gym Leader Understudy of the Basic Badge for the piece of land we could never reach for beginners. Another one was supposed to join me on the Expansion pass in Virbank City… but… *sigh* what's the point…?"
The Subway Guard looked at the inner bulletin at the Subway PC and instantly got the news.
"Why, Mr Jake!" Said the Subway Guard with a much more friendly tone. "Congratulations on your trip to becoming a Gym Leader!"
"NOW you're friendly, that's funny…" said Jake with another sigh.
"Kricketune Emoji…" said Yuna.
"The point of battling is to share the joys of being a winner to everyone!" Said the Subway Guard. "There's more to Gym Leader duty than just running around, trying to avoid me, running on top of the Subways. It's much more HONORABLE!"
"I see… And I hate that without this career, I wouldn't be able to erase the thousands of hours in my community service, cleaning the sewers at Castelia City…" Jake groaned.
"Wait, weren't there more of you?"
"Considering there are some of us who can't take my lame life of being a hard worker, and that one of us is actually a Pokémon… what is there to lose anymore than my last friend?" Jake groaned.
"Well for starters, none of us can keep our friends forever. Like the daily casual Subway Customers, people come and go and sometimes move on. I'm sure you heard of the legendary tale of Red, am I correct?"
"The one and only…" Jake looked away.
"Beep…" Yuna sighed.
"A timeless classic of Kanto. He still is somewhere traveling the world as by then he met the Champion of Hoenn, who is NOT Steven or Wallace." Said the Guard. "A Mexican Boy who goes by Eduardo Reynoso Kanker. Won with simple Pokémon and studied in Smogon University with his Champion's Wish. Now a bearer of the Champion's Wish of Hoenn, traveling across Unova… Hohoh! That's another story if somebody can beat HIM!"
"What does he do again?" Asked Jake.
"He… constructs teams out of the impossible… Or as some rumors say, "Cooking Blueprints" ." Said the Guard.
"As if a Simple Blueprint will help anybody! The least they can do is build a house with that degree of nerdship that my only friend has!" Said Jake, hugging his knees as he's trying to hide his sadness.
"Oh, by the way, if this is Jake Morgan… There's a Package for you." Said the Guard.
Jake and Yuna looked at the Guard with their attention now on alert.
"What D F?!" Yuna looked curious.
"So… You're telling me, you could deliver packages too?!" Jake was surprised.
"Well, it's technically not my job, but people who are VIP in the Subway, like Gym Leaders, or better yet, Railroad Champions, get their letters delivered, waiting here in the usual Subway." The Guard smiled as he delivered an envelope to Jake and Yuna.
"Beep!" Yuna clicked with a smile.
Jake opened it and inside was a Blueprint, cooked by the Former Hoenn Champion, Eduardo Reynoso Kanker.
"A Recipe…" The Guard smiled.
As the Subway hit a lump, Jake slipped the envelope and dropped 3 Pokéballs.
"And Pokémon!" Yuna was gobsmacked.
Jake, the Guard and Yuna looked at the blueprints.

First, we have Slakoth. Sure he may not look much, but use the Signature Move; Skill Swap, and you can trade its slow ability for the target in front of you, specifically, an ace of somebody. While Slakoth may have weak speed, be assured he'll be quick to spill the bucket of rinse and repeat for easy sweeping.
Now this isn't the top part.
The second one is a Munchlax, the pre-evolved form of Snorlax, one of the mightiest Pokémon Trainers must have in terms of bulk armor, health and power. While he's not much to the real thing, it's a Taste of a REAL Snorlax in its Prime… If it wakes up, that is. Not only is it packed with Yawn, but also Body Slam, and more attacks to suit what they might fetch across that patch of grass half a mile away from your gym.
And last but not least, your very own Porygon. Do you know how EXPENSIVE to get you one of these? Well it costs no more than the Zap Cannon equipped with it. When you Lock-On, you'll guarantee hit and Paralyze.
Now, I advise you to train before you try this as a team, especially when your Breloom was your main Ace.
However, I'm sure there's more sports to it than just Subway Hopping. I can tell based on your list of Crimes and Punishments. Have you ever considered Crafting a Team and taking on the Subway Bosses? Your Breloom does nicely against Dark Types but it may have problems going against Fire Types. Try to find your passion in Subway Sports NOW with the Basic Elemental Recipe. So here's the deal… Catch me one Magby and one Elekid, and I'll give you a rare Pokémon to trade with. Talk to your Subway Guard when I- Oops, is that a few Kids Subway Hopping in mine?! Well, you made an impact by riding and running across railroads with no badges, so I guess the sport got viral, around the world. Jake held his new Pokémon in delight as he now knows his freshly invented sport had gone viral.
The Guard facepalmed. "Champions… Always reckless with their power of Championship… If only my Houndour was strong enough against him, but then again, Hoenn is RICH with Water Type Pokémon."
Jake flipped through the Second Blueprint which was called "Hotdogs and Hotcats" which featured a Dog and Cat Pokémon Symbiotic Relationship, and it sprouted with the Electric Type Cat, Shinx, and the Fire Type Dog, Growlithe. The rule was that they're both opposite genders with each one holding Attract. The others are made to support or assist the Pokémon in any way possible without breaking the Plan. And just to add salt to the wound, a Pack of Hotdogs are given to the main 2 Pokémon, each.
Yuna's little stomach growled. "Hungwy…"
"Well then, New Gym Leader and Friend. Step this way." Said the Guard with a smile.
Jake gets Yuna up and walks with her and the Guard to the Catering Station.
"SURPRISE!!" A group of kids surprised Yuna and Jake, each table with ethnically different kids his and Yuna's ages.
On the Banner, it said "Congratulations, Subway King!"
"What is this about?" Asked Jake.
Trixie and Fresh appeared from a table.
"We knew it's not gonna be like the old days." Said Trixie. "And we didn't discover much of the internet thanks to Castelia City's Public Wifi Settings… But with the Subway Internet's? We found out the Sports were Worldwide!"
"You did good, Jake." Fresh pat his friend. "And now we celebrate like there's no tomorrow. Now everyone, ALL HAIL THE SUBWAY KING! THE GYM LEADER OF ASPERTIA CITY!! JAKE MORGAN!!"
The kids took out their Local Detention Bracelets and hailed Jake while chanting together. "ALL HAIL THE SUBWAY KING!!"
Jake smiled as he felt like he's going to cry, but then he stopped as the crowd stopped.
"What's wrong?" Asked Trixie, feeling concerned for her friend.
"I'm NOT the Subway King…" said Jake as the guests gasped. "YET!!"
The kids sighed in relief but were puzzled.
"Sure, our SPORT became viral, heck, we can make a video game about it! BUT! To be the King, one must dethrone… the Subway Gods!" Jake smirked.
The kids marveled at Jake's words.
"Hey, Subway Guard! You said I can take on the Subway Challenge, right?!" Asked Jake. "And there should be Subway Champions, am I correct?!"
"Well, as you know, YOU CAN'T RIDE ON THE SUBWAYS WITHOUT A BADGE!! BUT! You can challenge AND RIDE the Battle Subway Conductors, FOR FREE!" The Guard replied as the kids cheered as they heard that they could Challenge and Ride for the Subway Champions. "Here's how it works! The Subways are composed of 6 Cups, 3 minor, 3 major, and 3 leagues. They are Single, Double, and Double Team Subways! Simply ask yourselves this question… Who will dethrone the Subway Champions to get the Gold Bell Prize and the Subway League Champion Title as well as the Prize Money?!"
"Oh man…" Jake shivered with joy. "So much pressure. Do you guys think I can do it?!"
The kids looked as they chanted, "Jake!"
"You know what? I'll do it!" Said Jake, getting the crowd to go wild. "And who knows? I'll join Chip in the Championship! Wherever he may be!"
The party then began.

"And so, the seeds to the Future have scattered and are farmed everywhere…" Reynoso smiled as his Pokémon followed him to a Plasma Grunt.
"RAY!!" Shouted Lee from afar. "Whatever it is you're doing, you better hurry!"
"In a minute, hermanita!" Said Reynoso, "First, you'll reveal to me your boss's motives, and address them to me… Or else…"
Eduardo was pinning needles on a Team Plasma Scientist.
