"Gin? Gin, can you hear me? Pull yourself together." Gin was in pain after he lost his fight with Jake, but he was starting to pull himself together. When he finally opened his eyes, he saw Mary and Sandy right over him. "You're awake."

"Mary? You're back to normal? Does that mean this whole thing is over?" Gin asked.

"Not quite. We still got some work to do." Mary said as she tried to help him up. "Come on. I'll fill you in on what's going on along the way." A lot is still going on. Serenity's plans haven't been stopped yet, and time is running out.

...

Maru

Maru and Serenity were now facing against each other, but that might not be accurate to say. Maru doesn't want to fight Serenity because he believes Serenity isn't really going to hurt anyone. She's really testing that. Serenity keeps attacking Maru with fire with Maru trying his best not to get fried.

"Come on, Serenity! How many times do I have to say I don't want to fight you because you're a member of the guild?!" Maru argued. "Just stop all of this! Deep down you know this isn't the right thing!"

"You don't know anything about me, Maru. That attitude of yours is starting to get annoying. If you're not going to fight, I don't need someone like you in MY guild!" Serenity claimed with her getting another attack ready. Maru was going to move, but he suddenly found it difficult to move his legs.

"What?!" Maru looked down and saw his feet were trapped by stone. "What is this?!" Even Serenity was surprised by this.

"I got him, Serenity." Both of them looked to see that both Rocko and Skrull were able to make it back to her despite their injured state. Skrull certainly didn't want Rocko to outdo him, so he held up his blade near Maru.

"You shouldn't have any problem finishing him off now." Skrull said.

"What are you two doing?!" Maru said.

"What do you think? We're helping Serenity anyway we can." Rocko said. "Go on, Serenity. Finish this guy off and then we can go after Master Velvet." Despite everything, the two of them are still fighting for Serenity, but Serenity was rather angry. Rather than attacking Maru, she attacked both of them with her flames instead and freed Maru. None of them expected that.

"Do I look like I need or want your help? I don't want the help of weaklings! You two lost your battles and are useless to me!" Serenity shouted.

"Serenity, they were trying to help you! They were willing to risk everything for you and this is how you repay them?!" Maru said.

"They're of no use to me anymore. If I were you, I be more worried about yourself." Serenity claimed. "When I'm done here, everything in the guild is going to change because it needs to change!" Serenity jumped at Maru and tried attacking him once again. Maru has to do something or else he's going to get burned.

Aster

Meanwhile, Aster is trying to take care of the Caliente spell. He's looking for the fire charges that Serenity placed and is trying to destroy all of them. He was able to find one and destroy it, but that's only one compared to the many more that are hidden.

"I'm able to find them by trying to sense the magic power their generating, but it's so faint. This might not be as easy as I thought." Aster said. "Still, I've got to try and do something. We're running out of time." Aster is working as best as he can to find and destroy all the charges, but there's just no way him alone can do this. Amaryllis is too big and he's only one person. However, the thing about being in a guild is that one is never really alone.

"Everyone! Get up! Wake up! All of Amaryllis is in trouble, and it's our job as members of Phoenix Flame to try and save it."

"Wait. I know that voice. It's Frio!" Aster said. Aster was right. Frio was at the top of one of the tallest buildings in Amaryllis and is sending out a message to all of them.

Mary and Gin

"What was that?" Mary questioned. "I know I heard someone's voice in my head."

"I heard it, too. That was Frio." Gin said.

"He's using telepathy to get in contact with everyone in the guild." Sandy explained. He was right. Most of the members were pulling themselves together after the fighting and all those who were a member of the guild.

"Listen! For those who don't know, Serenity has unleashed a dangerous spell known as the Caliente. Once it activates, all of Amaryllis will be destroyed in fire. She's hidden charges that are building fire magic through all of Amaryllis, but I know where she's hidden all of them."

...

Aster

"Wait, Frio! How do you know where they are all hidden?!" Aster questioned.

"While I was fighting her, I was able to use my telepathy to see into her mind while she was distracted fighting me. I now know where each of the charges are hidden."

"So that's why he left. I didn't know telepathy could even be used like that." Aster said.

"We need to move now. The Caliente is going to activate any moment now. I can tell where they are, but we need those who are the closest to these locations to get there fast."

"Hold on a minute! Scott, do you hear me?! I'm going to pay you back for that little trick you pulled!"

"Don't blame me! I did what I had to save the people! We were forced too!"

"Where's the little stripper that tricked me?! I'm going to make her see stars!"

"Can you hear me, Bart! You're going to get it!" It looks like all the fighting has caused a rift between the guild members. They're all upset over what happened in each of their fights and apparently have already forgotten that their in a serious situation right now.

...

Mary and Gin

"Why are they all fighting?! We don't have time for this!" Sandy said.

"I guess all the fighting got ugly. Now they all hold grudges against each other." Gin said. "Hey, you idiots! Knock it off! We got work to do!" No one was listening. They were all talking to each other because they all held grudges against each other. Mary came to view this guild as one that cared for each other and Serenity's actions has apparently ruined it. Well, Mary isn't going to allow that.

"Will all of you idiots just shut up?!" Mary shouted. That certainly got everyone to be quiet. "What the hell is wrong with all of you?! You're really going to let something like this get in the way?! Serenity is the one at fault for making all of you fight in the first place! Right now, she's also threatening to destroy all of Amaryllis! One thing I learned after being in this guild is that I've seen how much everyone cares for each other. Serenity wanted to ruin that, and you're allowing that by fighting when the town is in danger. So, if Phoenix Flame really is the guild I think it is, we have to work together and save the town!" Mary's words seem to ring true with all of them. They were all moved by what she said, by Mary of all people when she tried keeping her distance from everyone. She may not have been a member for long, but she already seems to have gained the heart of a Phoenix Flame wizard.

"Well? You all heard the lady." Frank said.

"And she's right. Whatever issues we have with each other can be worked out later. Right now, we have to focus on saving this place." Tsubasa claimed.

"You just did good, Mary." Frio claimed.

"He's right. You definitely belong here after that." Gin said. "Now, we better get to work. We've got to find and destroy all the charges."

"And we better hurry. They're going to go off at three." Sandy said.

"Right. Let's go." Mary said. All of them hurried off. Now with the whole guild helping out, they might make it in time.

Frio

"Right! There's one in the alleyway behind the bakery!" Frio guided. "There's another one on the west side of the plaza. There's even one in the park's lake." Thanks to Frio's telepathy, he was able to guide everyone as to where the charges were. With the whole guild working together, they were able to find the charges and destroy each one. There's only one member of the guild that doesn't see that.

Maru and Serenity

"Didn't you say something about the guild needing to change? Funny. From where I'm standing, nothing needs to change." Maru said. They were well aware of what was going on outside and knew all of Serenity's plans were coming apart. "Everyone's happy and gets along. How do you expect to be our master if you refuse that? It's over, Serenity. It's time for this nonsense of yours to stop." All of Serenity's plans were coming undone, but she refuses to admit defeat.

"Shut up! You think you know everything, but you don't understand a thing!" Serenity shouted with her blasting Maru with an intense flame with him knocked off his feet. "I'll take the guild by force no matter what I have to do, but you won't be around to see that!" Serenity gathered fire magic right over Maru into a grand fireball.

"What's this?!" Maru said.

"Burning Impact!" Serenity had the ball drop right down on Maru and had it incinerate whatever was inside it. When the flames cleared away, there wasn't a trace of Maru anywhere.

"Maru's gone..." Rocko said.

"Wow! She really burned him to ashes!" Skrull said. They thought they were aware of what they got into, but Serenity really did it.

"Hahahaha! That's what you get for being a smart mouth!" Serenity laughed, actually laughing at Maru's demise.

"That's no way to treat your friends." All of them looked to the side and saw Phatar standing there and he had a hold of Maru. "You're one messed up chick. Fortunately for this guy, I got to him first."

"Phatar?" Maru said with him surprised he would be here.

"Let me make one thing clear to you. If anyone is going to do this guy in, it's going to be me." Phatar said.

"Thanks for the save, but what are you doing here?" Maru asked with him getting back up.

"I want in on the action, but this woman has some literal firepower." Phatar claimed as he can tell he can't take Serenity alone. "As much as I hate to say it, we'll have to team up to take her down."

"But that's not what I want. I don't want to fight a member of my own guild." Maru claimed.

"Really? Does that look like a friend to you?" Phatar asked as he pointed right at Serenity. Maru looked right at Serenity, but she looked plenty mad with flames exerting from her. It was actually a little scary to see. "As far as I can tell, that's an enemy. All she cares about getting what she wants, and she doesn't care who gets hurt. Does that sound like a friend to you? Besides, everyone else is too hurt from fighting another or is busy dealing with that Caliente. We're really the only ones left that can stop her." It was hard for Maru to admit it, but Phatar was right. Maru couldn't deny it.

"You're right. I don't want to fight her, but she just won't listen to reason." Maru said. "Though, I'm a little surprised to hear you say all that. Since when do you care about Phoenix Flame?"

"What I protect or destroy is my business!" Phatar argued.

"I thought you said light and darkness are always at conflict with each other." Maru said with a grin.

"That might be true, but we can't let fire outdo us." Phatar said. It seems the two of them have a neutral understanding. Working together is really the only way they can beat Serenity.

"Well? Are we going to dance or what, boys?" Serenity said. Now that they both got their heads around what needs to be done, they attacked. The two of them fought together as they both attacked Serenity as best as they could, but she was able to fend off both of them. The fists kept flying until Serenity swung her leg up and struck Maru, but Phatar grabbed him by the arm. He swung Maru around and Maru was able to kick Serenity back. Then, Maru was swung up in the air.

"Halo Rang!" He formed the giant halo and threw it at Serenity, but she smashed her fist against it and destroyed it.

"Black Shockwave!" Phatar unleashed his own spell, but Serenity was able to block that as well.

"Is that all you two got?" Serenity said.

"Dark Delete!"

"Three Star Formation: Orion!" Both of them attacked together and launched a series of attacks right at Serenity. The attacks just kept going and they thought they had her with that one.

"No way! They're both able to keep up with Serenity!" Skrull said with disbelief.

"Not so fast." Rocko said with him having his doubts. Maru and Phataru thought they got Serenity good with that, but the dust cleared away with Serenity getting right behind the two of them and didn't have a scratch.

"No way! She's not even hurt!" Maru said.

"I knew this wasn't going to be easy, but give me a break." Phatar said.

"I'll be glad to give you a break." Serenity said. "Flame Wave!" Serenity unleashed a wave of fire right at the two of them and they both got swallowed up by it. When the flames cleared away, they were having trouble moving.

"Even those two working together can't beat Serenity." Rocko said.

"Damn. She's strong." Phatar said.

"Throw all the fire you want, Serenity. It's not going to change a thing." Maru said.

"Is that so?" Serenity said. "Well, I've got a little surprise for all of you. I've been working on this, and I'll unleash it on everyone! My old man, Aster, Frio, and all the other weaklings in the guild! That includes those three that failed me! I'll use it on everyone and prove once and for all the might is right!"

"Wait. Does she mean us?" Rocko said.

"What's she going to do?" Skrull questioned. Suddenly, they felt a change in Serenity's magic. Whatever she was doing wasn't fire magic.

"What's this magic power? It feels familiar." Maru said.

"It should. It's one of my father's spells." Serenity said with her enveloped in a red aura and gathering magic power.

"Wait a minute... Is that... That's Scarlight!" Phatar recognized.

"That's right! I managed to master even this spell, one of his strongest spells!" Serenity said.

"That's the same spell Master Velvet used to take down Master Johnson! That spell works on whoever the caster wants!" Phatar said with them all knowing how powerful that spell is. "She plans to use that on everyone?!"

"Serenity, you can't!" Maru called.

"I can and I will! The guild will soon be mine!" Serenity claimed as she was really going to unleash the spell.

"Serenity!" All of them looked towards the entrance and saw Yukina standing there.

"Yukina!" Maru called.

"What are you doing here?!" Phatar called.

"Serenity, there's something you need to know!" Yukina said. "Master Velvet... Your father... I think your father is about to die!" All of them were shocked to hear her say that. Even Serenity seemed surprised to hear that. "Otin asked me to come get you! Your father needs you!"

"It can't be... Master Velvet is really going to die?" Maru said. He couldn't believe that was really going to happen.

"Please! You need to go see your father!" Yukina pleaded. Even Serenity wouldn't ignore the fact that her own could die, would she?

"This works out better than I thought! Now I'm guaranteed to be master!" Serenity claimed.

"Damn you." Phatar said as all of them were astonished she would be that heartless.

"You can't do this! Don't you care about anyone at all?!" Maru called. She wouldn't really go this far, would she? Her answer lies in the spell.

"Scarlight!" Serenity called as she unleashed the spell with a red light covering the entire town and targeting everyone in it. After all of this, has Serenity really won? Is she the new master of Phoenix Flame?
