"Finally somewhere thats actually fun." Rosa said, as they neared a gate. "And this time we're not running to or from a villainous plot so not skipping out on it."
"Fun, you mean other than the luxury hotel suites we were in for the Vertress Conference?" Ash asked.
"Or the film sets that were catered or your concert where your former friends all ignored me?" Elliot asked.
"Or the beaches you didn't want to leave?" Ash asked.
"Yes, better than all of that, boys welcome to Shopping Mall 9!" Rosa said, as they walked through the gates to a towering shopping mall.
"Pika?" Pikachu asked, small sparks of static electricity coming off of his cheeks.
"You okay buddy?" Ash asked, scratching Pikachu's head, seeing small sparks of electricity coming off of his own hands as well.
"No, come on don't tell me we have anything weird going on today." Rosa groaned in frustration.
"It's probably just electrical buildup, Pikachu hasn't had a good fight since Humilau City, I'll go and see if there's anyone around we can fight to burn off this energy, you three go on ahead." Ash said casually.
"Alright, shopping time." Rosa said holding Minccino as she led N and Elliot into the building.
"Alright Pikachu, let's look around, I'm sure there are plenty of tough trainers that would be up for a quick battle."
"Pika Pi!" Pikachu said, pointing to Ash's bag.
"My bag, but the only thing in there is…". Ash paused pulling out the Dark Stone also emitting small sparks. "Oh thats probably not good."
"BrrrrrRRRRrrrrrr." A sound was heard quickly approaching.
"What now?" Ash sighed, seeing a rogue lawnmower heading straight for them.
"Look out!" A Gardner exclaimed, chasing after the lawnmower as Ash and Pikachu both rolled out of the way.
"BrrrRRRrrr!" The lawnmower engine roared as it turned around, aiming at the duo again.
"Starting to think that this isn't a coincidence. Golett ground that mower!" Ash called out.
Golett came out of his Pokeball, grabbing the lawnmower and stopping it in it's pursuit, the engine shortly afterwards dying.
"Definitely not a coincidence." Ash said, noticing the static coming off of him and Pikachu had died down. "We should go find the others."
"Sir are you okay, I don't know what happened, the lawnmower started acting like it had a mind of its own." The gardener admitted, getting his lawnmower back from Golett.
"We're fine, thanks for checking, and I don't think it was the lawnmower alone that caused it. Come on Pikachu lets go, you too Golett!" Ash said, as he rushed towards the mall, Pikachu hot on his heels with Golett trudging along behind them.
With Rosa and Minccino
"What do you think Minccino? How do you feel about this one?" Rosa asked, showing a frilly pink ribbon for the normal type.
"Min." Minccino said, unsure of the ribbon's design.
"Yeah, I guess you're right, this seems a bit too much while we're still traveling." Rosa admitted, putting the ribbon down. "How about this one?" Rosa asked, holding a sky blue with sparkles.
"Min Min!" Minccino cheered.
"Well let's see how it looks." Rosa said, attempting to tie it around Minccino's neck, a sudden gust of wind pushing against them.
"What is going on?!" Rosa asked, the ribbon flying out of her hands, a fan in front of the two going far faster than it should have.
"Larvesta now!" Ash called out, a string shot gumming up the fan as it came to a stop.
"Ash, what are you doing here?" Rosa asked.
"Call it a hunch, that silk will go away within an hour!" Ash said to an attendant as he rushed Rosa and Minccino out of there. "Where are N and Elliot?"
"Why, whats going on?" Rosa asked.
"Seeing as you were just attacked, I'm guessing a prankster with their eyes on me, Pikachu and Zekrom and you guys are just in the crossfire, now where are N and Elliot?" Ash asked.
"Somebody help, these vending machines are going crazy!" A mans voice called out.
"Nevermind, Duosion we're going to need a lot of objects stopped all at once!" Ash said, sending out the psychic type as he, Rosa, Minccino, Pikachu, Golett and Larvesta rushed out to see vending machines firing cans out into a central area.
"What is going on, this can't be an electrical malfunction." Rosa pointed out.
"Technically its not, it's a Pokemon." Ash said. "Duosion now use Telekinesis!"
Duosion floated above the railing, levitating all the cans into the air revealing N in the center of the storm.
"Okay, are you going to tell me why it's targeting us at least?" Rosa asked as they ran down to check on N.
"Something's targeting us?" N asked, standing up.
"Ash says its a Pokemon." Rosa answered.
"I didn't hear any voice when those vending machines went haywire." N pointed out.
"You probably wouldn't, if it's the Pokemon I think it is, it's called Rotom." Ash said, pulling out his Pokedex.
"Wait you've had that this whole time?" Rosa asked.
"It doesn't have any Unova Pokemon data in it, last time I had it updated was back when I was in Sinnoh, so I haven't had a need to use it here." Ash said, pulling up the information on Rotom. "They're an electric and ghost type that can inhabit electrical devices and are a bit of pranksters."
"That doesn't explain why they're targeting us because of you though." Rosa realized.
"Except that they feed off of electricity, and between me, Pikachu, and the Dark Stone, we're an all you can eat buffet." Ash stated. "We need to find Elliot."
Elsewhere
"Interesting, all these devices, it seems like a home area for you." Elliot said, seeing a freezer become possessed letting out a freezing blast, before switching to a microwave, melting away the cold ice and snow.
"Rotototototo!" The Rotom chuckled, appearing out from the microwave before zipping into Elliot's laptop.
"Hey careful in there, you can come along for a ride, but don't destroy anything." Elliot argued lightly.
"Elliot are you in there?" Ash asked from outside the door, trying to wiggle it open.
"Rototo!" Rotom cheered, zipping towards the door.
"Yeah, we're fine, just be careful the door might be…". Elliot trailed off as Ash opened the door, his hand already electrified. "Right, I forgot you can do that."
"Forget it myself a fair bit honestly." Ash said, as Rotom zipped around his hands, absorbing any excess electricity before zipping back into Elliot's computer. "The Rotom giving you any trouble?"
"No, why?" Elliot asked.
"Cans, fans, and lawnmowers." Ash listed. "I think we've had enough of Shopping Mall 9, anyone else want to argue it?"
"Nope." Rosa said, still trying to fix her hair.
"I think I will avoid vending machines for a bit though." N added.
"Alright then, next stop Icirrus City." Ash said, his Pokemon cheering.

Yes, changes to the team are not done, there are three sort of four more additions or positive changes to the groups team of Pokemon still to occur. With the anime after the Unova League the only change was Charizard and Alexa, no new captures or moves between any of the trio of heroes and with how much of Unova is still left I wanted to add some things. Also finally showing why I haven't had any Pokedex entries in this story. Ash never made it to Professor Juniper's lab, he doesn't have a Unova Pokedex update.
