Boku no Hero Academia: Custodian Izuku

Disclaimer: This is a crossover fanfiction story of 'Boku no Hero Academia' and 'Warhammer 40k' (yes, really). I own nothing of the two series other than the fanfiction stories that I make.

I am making this story for the sake of fun, fluff and awesome after writing a one-shot story of the same story concept. If I am able to somehow impress fans of Warhammer 40k or even move someone to tears, even better.

Also, if anyone wants to know how in the world I got this idea in the first place, please refer to the artist, Ryuusei (Mark II), who has made some awesome pictures of gender-bent primarchs. The link is: .us/pools/17320

Please note that while I am familiar with the Warhammer 40k setting, my actual knowledge of it is casual at best. Also, if the genderbent primarchs seem at least a bit OOC, please kindly consider the fact that their bodies (especially the traitor primarchs) have changed drastically after entering Izuku's world.

In case anyone asks how much crack I was taking in to come up with the idea, I am just going to say enough to make even a loyalist Adaptus Astartes trippy.

Chapter 13: First Day of Lessons

By the time Izuku and the twelve former primarchs began their first year of lessons at U.A. High School, all the other students, both new and returning, had already safely moved into their respective dorms. Much like previous years, an assembly was held with all the students present at the start of the new school year. However, there were some differences in the current assembly such as the introduction of Class V by Nedzu, "It is with great honour and pleasure that I officially introduce the first batch of students for the new 'Villain and Vigilante Reform Program', Class V!"

The twelve former primarchs and Izuku took their cue and stepped forward onto the stage. Immediately, Izuku noticed Ochako, Tsuyu, Tenya, Fumikage and Minoru who were all in Class 1A. He also noticed other students who were their classmates including a certain girl with long plug-like earphone jacks hanging from her earlobes named Jirou Kyouka.

Once all thirteen students, which did not include Eri as she was an unofficial member of Class V and was a little too shy to stand on stage, were standing on the stage platform, Nedzu said, "Now, before I conclude my speech, I would like the chosen representative of the class, Sanguinius Angelos, to step forward so that she may say a word or two to you all." He then motioned for Sanguinius to step forward.

Sanguinius gave a short respectful bow to Nedzu before she stepped forward to speak to the gathered students, "Salutations to all present in this hall. I see many familiar faces and, of course, new ones especially among the first years of this school. As I am sure that everyone present here is aware, my sisters and I, along with the Midoriya family and Eri, have been living at U.A. High School since last year thanks to the kindness and generosity of the teachers of this school. I am therefore honoured to stand before you all as an official student of this great school. To those who are now in their second and third years, I look forward to being officially your junior. As for the first year students, I hope that we can get along as peers in spite of the unusual circumstances that has led to the formation of Class V." She then bowed the gathered students and said, "May we all strive to be the very best we can be, not matter how humble our contributions may be to the greater whole of humanity."

Understandably, many first year students were charmed by Sanguinius' angelic beauty and sincerity. In fact, a certain student from Class 1B named Shiozaki Ibara almost swooned while praying in praise to her Christian deity.

After Sanguinius had made her speech and taken a step back, Nedzu stepped forward to speak, "With that, I hereby declare this assembly over. All second and third year students may proceed to your respective classes for home-room as usual. As for the first-year students, including Class V, please proceed to the designated areas for your orientation." There as a sly glint in his eyes as he added, "Any questions that you may ask will be answered once you're there."

-A short while later…-

"Excuse me," said a relatively tall girl from Class 1A with onyx eyes, long black hair that was tied into a ponytail and a mature physique named Yaoyorozu Momo.

Shouta, who was chosen to be the home-room teacher of Class 1A, again, could already guess what Momo was about to say as he sighed and asked, "Yes, what is it?"

"Why have we gathered in this building?" asked Momo. She was far from the only one who wanted to ask the question as she and other students from both Classes 1A and 1B were currently inside Gym Gamma with not only their respective home-room teachers but also the students of Class V, Inko, Eri and the home-room teacher of the class, Toshinori.

Sekijirou, who had been chosen to be the home-room teacher of Class 1B, explained, "As teachers of U.A. High School we hold a degree of freedom greater than most. This means that we're allowed to do things that are not standard such as making you all take part in an impromptu sparring match with the students of Class V." He grimaced as he thought, "Which is honestly a load of bull-crap in this case because Nedzu has personally instructed us to have all first-year hero course students partake in the sparring matches while students from other first-year courses watch the matches."

A moment of silence passed before nearly everyone in Classes 1A and 1B yelled in unison, "WHAT!?"

Barely-controlled pandemonium followed as many students started to protest. Minoru was one of them as he yelled shrilly, "Aren't the girls from Class V on par with the top ten?!"

"How in the flying fuck are we supposed to beat someone who can take on the top ten!?" yelled a boy from Class 1B with long spiked black hair and rounded grey eyes named Awase Yousetsu.

"Some of us never even had a chance to learn how to use our quirks in a fight before coming here!" exclaimed a pink-skinned girl from Class 1A with fluffy pink hair, yellow eyes with black sclera and a pair of hooked yellow horns on her head named Ashido Mina.

Shouta glared at the students with his quirk activated and growled, "Be quiet or I'll seriously consider expelling anyone who's still complaining!"

Intimidated by the glare and threat, the students quietened down enough for him to explain with a sigh, "You're right to assume that sparring with them is largely unfair. However, the bitter truth is that the world itself isn't fair. Natural disasters, accidents, villain attacks, discrimination, abuse and worse, the world is full of such unfairness and it is the duty of heroes to somehow correct them all. Unless you're willing to give it your all, to go 'Plus Ultra', you'll quickly find yourself weighed down by the lives of those you have failed to save."

Sekijirou nodded and said, "We're not expecting you to defeat them. We just want to see how well you can use your quirks while sparring with them so that we have an idea on what to do to help you all improve. Besides, other than Midoriya Izuku, all of them will hold back so that you will have a chance to prove yourselves."

Ochako raised her hand and sheepishly asked, "What about those of us who have sparred with them at least once before?" Her query quickly got the attention of students from Class 1B who had never even considered sparring with students from Class V before the start of the school year. A boy from Class 1B with slick blond hair, periwinkle-purple eyes with white pupils and a smirk which gave him a contemptuous look named Monoma Neito was particularly intrigued by her statement. As for the students of Class 1A, they were aware that some of their classmates had actually sparred with students from Class V at least once.

Well aware that Ochako, Tsuyu, Tenya and Fumikage were among the few students of Class 1A who had sparred with the Izuku and former primarchs at least once before, Shouta said, "You will be expected to spar with them as well." He then said, "Enough with wasting time. Your P.E. uniforms are available in the changing room at the back of the gym. I want you all changed and ready within the next five minutes or you can kiss your future careers as pro-heroes goodbye."

Needless to say, everyone rushed to get changed.

-Less than five minutes later…-

After everyone had changed into their P.E. uniforms, Sekijirou spoke to the students of Classes 1A and 1B, "Each of you will only need to spar with a student from Class V once in a 1v1 match. The selection process will be largely at random but it will alternate between Classes 1A and 1B and will not pick a student from Class V who has already participated in a sparring match again until the other students have taken their own turns as well. While you are allowed to use your quirks to win, attacks that are lethal or cause permanent injury are prohibited. The conditions of winning the matches include: immobilising or incapacitating your opponent, knocking your opponent out of the ring and making your opponent admit defeat. Alternatively, we may decide that we have seen enough and declare the match concluded for the sake of saving time."

In theory, team matches could be held to test the students of Classes 1A and 1B but the goal of the sparring matches was to determine their individual abilities.

"In addition, if your performance is exceptionally poor, we are authorised to deem you as unfit for the hero course in spite of passing the entrance exam and have you transferred into the general course until you have proven yourselves worthy in the sports festival that will be held later this year," said Shouta.

Not surprisingly, many students were shocked by the possibility of getting transferred out of the hero course. A girl from Class 1B with large upturned dusky-green eyes, pointed teeth and dark moss-green hair named Tokage Setsuna was clearly agitated as she exclaimed, "That's not fair! We've already worked so hard to even enter the hero course! You can't just expel us on the first day!"

Considering the fact that Setsuna was one of the students who had not only taken the recommendation exam with the former primarchs but had also seen how strong they were during the said test, she was understandably worried about the very real risk of losing badly enough to be deemed as unfit for the hero course.

A girl from Class 1B with a round face, a short equine muzzle, thick wavy blond hair, large round Prussian-blue eyes, a pair of tall lyre-shaped tan-coloured horns on her head, rounded calves with brown hooves in place of feet and a short horsetail named Tsunotori Pony was close to tears as she asked, "Expelled if lose?" As a half-Japanese American, she did not have a full understanding of the Japanese language even though she had a love for Japanese anime. That said, she understood enough to know that she might lose her place in the hero course if she lost to the former primarchs. Even quieter students such as a chubby boy from Class 1B with ice-blue hair, a round face and large wide eyes named Shouda Nirengeki and a girl from Class 1B with bob-shaped black hair, cerulean eyes, an athletic build and a neutral expression on her face named Kodai Yui were clearly agitated by the possibility of getting expelled from the hero course.

"We can and we will if you do not take this test seriously. Besides, I've already told you that this world is not fair and only those who have performed exceptionally poorly will be transferred out," said Shouta.

"So if you all want to remain in the hero course, you'll need to prove to us that you are willing to do your best even while facing overwhelmingly bad odds," said Sekijirou.

Although many students were upset by the possibility of being essentially expelled from the hero course, none of them refused to take on the challenge. What they did not realise was that their willingness to somehow do their best against even the likes of the former primarchs was considered one of the hidden criteria to be eligible for remaining in the hero course.

"Now, without further ado, let us begin with the first sparring match," announced Sekijirou who then activated a holographic display to determine the first two contestants of the sparring matches which would be held on a raised cement platform that served as the sparring ring…

-First Match…-

Izuku, who was holding his training naginata, faced a boy from Class 1A with spiky dyed-red hair, red eyes, small eyebrows, sharp teeth and an impressively muscular physique named Kirishima Eijirou. Before the match began, Eijirou asked, "I've heard from Uraraka that you actually insulted a zero-pointer in its face and were prepared to fight it head on. Is that true?"

Izuku smiled sheepishly and said, "It was to distract it, but yes."

Eijirou grinned and said, "Damn, that's really manly!" His clenched fists then hardened to a rock-like state before he slammed them together while saying, "I have nothing against you, but I'm not going to go easy on you just because you're quirkless!"

"I wouldn't have it any other way," replied Izuku as he assumed a fighting stance.

With the two contestants ready, Toshinori yelled, "Begin!"

As soon as the start of the match was announced, Izuku charged towards Eijirou. Although shocked by how fast Izuku was charging, Eijirou was able to avoid panicking and held his hardened forearms before his face in a defensive boxing pose. Izuku spun around and struck Eijirou's left arm with enough force to fracture bones but the red-haired boy hardened his entire left arm to withstand the blow and was able to maintain his footing. He grinned as he pushed the training naginata aside and charged forward to punch Izuku with his hardened left first. Izuku dodged the punch by spinning around and ducking low to strike Eijirou in the right side of his abdomen with his weapon from a low kneeling position. However, Eijirou was able to react quickly enough to harden his abdomen to the point of rendering the attack ineffective. Izuku then retreated so that Eijirou would not be able to grab onto his weapon.

In spite of the apparent disadvantage, Izuku smiled as he spun his training naginata while asking, "You're a boxer?"

Eijirou smiled as he pointed at himself and said, "That's right! It's a good match with my quirk!"

"Have you ever considered taking kick-boxing?" asked Izuku who then added, "I'm pretty sure a hardened kick from you will hurt quite a bit."

"I've thought about it but I've decided to focus on being an immovable and unbreakable shield," said Eijirou while assuming a boxing stance.

Izuku nodded and said, "Your footing is certainly good but you should learn a few skills in case you do not have a steady foothold to stand on."

"I'll keep that in mind," said Eijirou who then charged forward with the intention of overwhelming Izuku with a seemingly unstoppable charge. However, Izuku was agile enough to not only avoid the attack but also knock Eijirou down by spinning around him and striking the back of his head with his training weapon. Although the blow did not inflict any real damage, it was able to knock Eijirou down face-first.

Well aware that Eijirou would be able to recover quickly, Izuku stepped back while Eijirou got back onto his feet. The two grinning opponents were about to resume fighting when a clapping sound could be heard and Shouta said, "All right, I think that is enough! We have thirty-nine more students to test and, before you ask, you can stay in the hero course but you should consider having a wider skill set, Kirishima."

Although disappointed that he could not properly conclude his match with Izuku, Eijirou was nonetheless happy that he could remain in the hero course and yelled, "Aw, yeah!"

-Second Match…-

Angron tilted her head and raised her brow while asking, "Are you… related to that red-head in any way?"

A boy from Class 1B with long messy grey hair, black eyes which were lined with thick jagged tan eyelashes and sharp teeth named Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu groaned and grumbled through his hand that was on his face, "No, we're not related!"

While Eijirou had the ability to harden his body to a rock-like state, Tetsutetsu had the ability to harden his own body by transforming into a metallic state. Ferrus, whose arms were covered in metallic skin, was similarly aggravated by the ridiculous coincidence as she grumbled at her fellow former primarchs, "Not a word…!"

Russ was grinning as she replied, "We didn't even say anything!"

Ferrus glowered at Russ and growled, "Exactly!"

Toshinori chuckled at the rather silly situation before he announced the start of the match, "Begin!"

Tetsutetsu was barely able to become completely metallic before Angron punched him with enough force to send him flying over the students and out of the gym through the front door, literally. Fortunately, he was allowed to remain in the hero course for the simple reason that he was physically unharmed by her punch. The fact that Angron had actually left an inch-deep footprint on the cement floor of the ring, thus necessitating Ken's assistance to repair it, showed that she was terrifyingly strong even while holding back.

Understandably, Ken decided to remain in the gym for the rest of the sparring matches after repairing the ring. Chiyo, who was certain that someone was going to get badly hurt at some point, decided to follow Ken's example and be present at the gym as well.

-Third Match…-

Vulkan, who was holding a small lighter in her left hand, faced a boy from Class 1A with almond-shaped eyes, black hair, large straight teeth and cylindrical elbows which produced cellophane tape named Sero Hanta. Hanta sighed and said, "Of course I end up with the girl who's a bad match-up for me." Like many people, he had seen video recordings of her ability to use fire in not only fighting but also crafting things. Given his quirk that allowed him to produce tape from his elbows, facing an opponent that could burn the tape away was understandably disadvantageous for him.

Vulkan tilted her head and asked, "Do you wish to face another opponent?"

"If I were given a chance to choose a different opponent, yeah, I would," admitted Hanta who the assumed a fighting stance and said, "That being said, I'm not planning to just roll over and lose just because your quirk puts me at a disadvantage."

Vulkan smiled as she assumed her own fighting stance and said, "Well said, Sero Hanta."

Shouta silently decided to let Hanta remain in the hero course regardless of his performance in the match as Toshinori announced the start of the match. As soon as the match began, Hanta produced tape from both of his elbows. The length of tape from his right elbow wrapped around Vulkan's left hand to somehow prevent her from lighting the lighter. However, she was able to light a spark quickly enough to produce a flame that easily burnt through the tape. As for the other length of tape from Hanta's left elbow, it was aimed low at her right foot with the intention of making her trip but she was able to maintain her footing and be as immovable as a mountain not matter how strongly he tried to pull it.

Hanta bit back a curse as he severed the two lengths of tape from both elbows. He was about to try blinding her with his tape when she suddenly appeared in front of him and did a palm strike that threw him off the square-shaped sparring ring. In spite of the loss, many agreed that Hanta had performed quite admirably.

-Fourth Match…-

Lion's ever-present frown deepened slightly as she faced a tall slender boy from Class 1B named Kamakiri Togaru who had pale yellow-green skin, a bright fluffy green mohawk and an insectoid head with dark green eyes and two hooked blades jutting out for his cheeks. If she had not known any better, she would have assumed that the abhuman boy was some sort of xenos or a tail-less four-limbed Tyranid bioform.

Of the students from Class 1B, only Togaru and a boy with a very large and muscular stature, straw-yellow skin and a head shaped somewhat like a glue dispenser with a lappet and seven eye holes named Bondo Kojirou were comparable to the former primarchs in terms of height.

Togaru smirked as sharp blades emerged from his forearms and said, "You better give it your all or I'll end up carving you up!"

Unimpressed, Lion huffed softly and said, "If I were you, I would be more worried about my own chances of victory."

Unperturbed by Lion's rebuttal, Togaru charged forward as soon as Toshinori announced the start of his match with her. Lion remain unmoving until the last possible moment and punched the blunt sides of his blades aside before kneeing him in the abdomen. Togaru fell onto his knees and struggled to get back onto his feet while Lion said, "Your attacks are… amateurish to say the least but at least you have shown restraint to avoid inflicting grievous injuries upon another by mistake." She then asked, "Why do you wish to be a pro-hero?"

In spite of the pain in his abdomen, Togaru smirked at her and said, "Honestly, I have a few reasons. Lots of a-holes think that I can't be a hero because of my looks and quirk. I want to be a pro-hero to prove them wrong and be awesome while I'm at it."

"A respectable reason," said Lion who did not even flinch when a long thin blade suddenly emerged from Togaru's forehead and only stopped growing when it was an inch from stabbing her in the nose.

Realising that Lion was not even intimidated by the "surprise feint" Togaru was silent for even a moment before he retracted all of his blades and cackled in spite of his bruised abdomen while saying, "Damn, you're really cool!"

In spite of his loss, Togaru was allowed to remain in the hero course.

-Fifth match…-

A blond boy from Class 1A with a slim build, slanted yellow eyes and small eyebrows named Kaminari Denki was understandably nervous as he faced Khan. While he was sure that he had a chance of winning if he could use his quirk on her, he needed to time his ability just right or he would lose for certain.

Khan, who was wearing a new pair of shoes with rubber soles, did not hesitate to charge forward when the start of the match was announced. However, just as she was about to punch him, she suddenly pulled back her fist while sparks of electricity emerged from Denki's body. Denki grinned in spite of his growing panic and asked, "So, you have some kind of precognitive quirk or are all of you tall ladies from Class V just that good in fighting?"

Khan smiled as she assumed a relaxed standing stance and said, "It's the latter." She observed the electrical arcs that emerged from Denki's body and admitted, "While defeating you will not be too difficult for me, I'd rather not get electrocuted in the process if possible."

"Too bad for you, I'll rather not get lose and risk getting expelled from the hero course," said Denki who then flicked a single coin at her face and yelled, "Think fast!"

Acting on instinct, Khan grabbed the coin, which was carrying an electrical charge, with her left hand. Her eyes widened when Denki suddenly unleashed nearly a million volts of electricity. Although she was fast enough to throw the coin away and retreat, she was unable to avoid the burst of electricity which covered nearly the entire ring and was drawn towards her body which had received an electrical charge from the coin. She gritted her teeth in pain while the electricity coursed through her body. In spite of the attack, she was able to remain standing so Denki produced even more electricity as he knew that he would not have another chance to defeat her. By the time he stopped producing electricity, his brain was short-circuited by his own quirk and he wore a dopey smile while holding two thumbs ups and uttering, "Wheeey…!"

Many students, especially Kyouka, wanted to laugh at Denki's comically dopey state.

Although Denki's attack did not knock Khan out, it was able to bring her down to her knees. Therefore, no one disagreed that Denki deserved to remain in the hero course. In fact, the other former primarchs deemed Denki as the winner in spite of the official declaration that it was a draw for the simple reason that Khan was honestly caught off guard by Denki's coin trick.

After healing Khan, Chiyo ordered her to rest for the rest of the sparring matches in spite of the former primarch's insistence that she would be fine after a bit of rest. Khan could have protested over Chiyo's orders but even the former primarchs of Class V knew better than to provoke the old pro-heroine.

-Sixth match…-

A beastly-looking boy from Class 1B with shaggy brown hair and a large lower jaw with two of his lower canines jutting out named Shishida Juurouta adjusted his rectangular spectacles as he faced Russ. Well aware of Russ' ability to transform, he bowed politely and said, "Let us have a good match, Leman-san."

Russ smirked at Juurouta and said, "I wouldn't want it any other way."

As soon as the start of the match was announced, Russ charged towards Juurouta. The hairy student immediately activated his ability to transform into a larger and stronger form. Although wilder and more reckless than his normal form, Juurouta still knew better than to attempt attacking Russ head on so he leapt over her with his two hands held together before swinging his arms downward in an attempt to strike her on the head. However, Russ was able to block the attack from above. She smirked as she transformed into her wulfen form and said, "Nice try, but Rumi's kicks are faster and hurt more than this!"

Juurouta was about to argue that Rumi was also one of the top ten pro-heroes in all of Japan when Russ suddenly grabbed onto his hands and, with a mighty swing, toss him out of the ring. Although Juurouta was able to land onto his feet, he was out of the ring and had therefore lost the match. In spite of the loss, Sekijirou decided that Juurouta should be allowed to stay in the hero course.

-Seventh match…-

A tall muscular boy from Class 1A with pale-grey hair and three pairs of arms that were connected to one another by a web of skin named Shouji Mezou faced his opponent, Guilliman. Among his peers in Class 1A, Mezou was easily the second tallest student with only two other boys, a boy with a wide build, a round nose, full lips and short spiky brown hair named Satou Rikidou and a quiet boy with a broad muscular build and a rock-like face named Kouda Kouji, being almost as tall as him in height. As for the tallest boy in Class 1A, that title went to a well-built boy with buzzed dark-brown hair and black eyes named Yoarashi Inasa.

On a side note, Momo was the tallest girl in Class 1A but she was undeniably shorter than both the four tallest boys in Class 1A and the former primarchs.

Guilliman almost grimaced as she saw Mezou form extra fists on his four additional arms and thought, "I can already imagine Slaanesh and Tzeentch wanting him for his quirk." She quickly put the disturbing thought aside when Toshinori announced the start of the match and charged towards her opponent.

Mezou knew that the tall girls from Class V were strong so he did not hesitate to attempt overwhelming her with multiple punches. In spite of having six fists, Mezou was unable to land a proper hit on Guilliman as she was able to dodge, deflect and block every punch that he threw at her. What was more, it was clear that she was pushing him back with every attack she threw at him. Despite of his efforts to somehow not lose, he was eventually forced out of the ring by Guilliman. Although Mezou had lost, Shouta deemed him as worthy for the hero course as he was able to not only fight her for a relatively long time but also avoid receiving a solid hit from her.

-Eigth match…-

"Well, at least she's not armed," thought a boy from Class 1B with black hair tied into a low braid and reptilian eyes with small irises named Rin Hiryuu as he faced Curze. Aware of her superhuman speed and strength, he did not hesitate to attack her by growing tough green reptilian scales on both forearms and shooting the scales at her as soon as the match started.

Although Hiryuu shot his scales with reasonably good accuracy and fire-rate, Curze was simply too fast for him to hit accurately, never mind the fact that she was allowed to use her precognitive ability. Before long, she was close enough to punch him in the face. Fortunately for the boy, he was not completely defenceless in close-quarter combat as he was able to cover his upper body in hard scales to absorb the blow. Curze smirked as she continued to attack Hiryuu rapidly without giving him a chance to recover. The other students winced as they saw blood on her knuckles due to punching hard enough to break Hiryuu's scales. A final punch in the abdomen sent Hiryuu out of the sparring ring.

In spite of the loss, Hiryuu was allowed to remain in the hero course as he had put up a respectable fight against Curze who had a rather infamous reputation among the former primarchs.

As stated before, not even the former primarchs dared to oppose Chiyo so Curze had no choice but to meekly listen to the old pro-heroine scolding her like a displeased grandmother while healing her bloodied knuckles. The fact that Eri got worried about her bloodied knuckles only made it harder for Curze to dismiss Chiyo's reprimands.

-Ninth match…-

"I knew that sparring with any of you again would happen sooner or later, but this is a little too soon," said a blond boy from Class 1A with thin eyes and a long thick tail with a hairy tip named Ojiro Mashirao who had a rueful smile on his face.

Icarian chuckled at Mashirao's understandable statement and said, "To be fair, a sparring match is a common way to gauge a person's proficiency in combat."

Mashirao, who was among the few students from Class 1A who had actually sparred with a student from Class V before the start of the current school year, smiled back and said, "Well, one thing's for certain, you'll be even harder to beat than Izuku."

Aware of Mashirao's match with Izuku, which was a rather close match that ultimately ended in Mashirao's loss due to Izuku's weapon proficiency, Icarian smiled and said, "Perhaps, but I can tell that you have no intention of simply giving up this match."

Mashirao nodded and said, "I will never become a kind of hero I want to be if I allow myself to give up so easily." He then assumed his fighting stance and said, "Ready when you are."

Icarian assumed her own fighting stance and said, "Show us all what you have learnt from your match with Midoriya."

As soon as the start of the match was announced, Mashirao leapt forward with the help of his powerful tail. Easily anticipating the attack, Icarian leapt over Mashirao while he was doing a spinning strike with his tail. She then delivered a spinning heel kick from above which Mashirao was barely able to block thanks to his martial arts training. Mashirao gritted his teeth as his arms withstood the powerful kick before suddenly shifting his stance so that he could strike her with his tail in a manner not unlike a scorpion. In spite of being in mid-air, Icarian was able to twist her body so that the tail barely grazed her. She rolled over the tail and was able to land onto her feet. Before Mashirao could react, she grabbed onto his tail and spun around to throw him out of the ring with a mighty heave. Although he lost the match, he had performed well enough to stay in the hero course.

-Tenth match…-

A short girl from Class 1B with a thin build, honey-brown hair that formed a mushroom-shaped bob and cat-like brown eyes with cross-shaped pupils named Komori Kinoko gulped in fear as she faced Dorn. Although Dorn was not as scary-looking as Curze and Angron in Kinoko's opinion, Dorn was still rather intimidating due to her impressive height and build. Dorn remained stoic as she faced Kinoko and did not hesitate to charge forward to attack her when the match was announced.

Knowing that she did not stand a chance against Dorn in a direct physical fight, Kinoko grew as many mushrooms on Dorn's face as she could. Forced to stop her charge to rip the mushrooms off her face so that she could see, Dorn was unable to stop Kinoko from growing more mushrooms on her body while maintaining a safe distance from her. Dorn even slipped and fell when Kinoko grew some soft mushrooms on the floor. Before long, Kinoko was declared the winner of the match.

Understandably, Kinoko could hardly believe that she had actually won. As for the former primarchs, especially the ones who had faced Tyranid or nurglesque forces, few could blame Dorn for being unable to defeat Kinoko due to lacking the proper wargear to deal with rapid fungal growth.

-Eleventh match…-

An invisible girl with a slender yet fairly curvaceous body from Class 1A named Hagakure Tooru was nervous as she faced Sanguinius. Although she was allowed to take off her P.E. shirt and bra so that at least her upper body was completely invisible, she could tell that she stood no chance against someone who could face Hawks in a sparring match and win. Even so, she was determined to prove herself worthy of staying in the hero course.

Sanguinius smiled kindly at Tooru and said, "As it will be unfair for you to face me while I am flying, I will give you one chance to attack me before I take flight or fight back."

"So, does that mean that I can do whatever I can to win and you won't do anything until I am done?" asked Tooru.

"There will be limits and you will only have one chance, but yes," confirmed Sanguinius.

While Minoru was weeping comical tears of envy, which were not bloody since the offer was given to another girl instead of a boy, Tooru thought, "Well, if I'm given a chance to attack her once, I might as well as 'go Plus Ultra or go home'!"

As soon as the start of the match was announced, Tooru charged forward towards Sanguinius and did something that no one, not even Curze or Icarian, had expected her to do. She hugged Sanguinius with her arms around her waist and her face "firmly planted" between her breasts. While everyone else was gaping dumbly at the sight, Sanguinius was flustered with a bright blush on her face and asked, "W-what in the golden throne are you doing?" Suddenly, Sanguinius felt a sharp pain on one of her wings and yelped, "Kyaaah!"

Reacting on instinct, Sanguinius quickly threw Tooru out of the ring in such a way that the invisible girl landed onto her backside. As Tooru got back onto her feet, everyone in the gym realised that Tooru had actually plucked one of Sanguinius' white feathers. The invisible girl was clearly sheepish as she spoke to Sanguinius, "You said that I have a chance to attack you. You never said that I can't pluck a feather."

A moment of stunned silence passed before most of the former primarchs started chuckling or snickering at Sanguinius who blushed in embarrassment. Russ' snickers quickly turned into a chortle as she spoke, "I'll be damned, she got you good, Sanguinius!" Their laughter was rather contagious as many others, including Minoru, found the situation rather funny. Even Lion was amused as she had a slight smirk on her face.

Sanguinius glared at Tooru with a cute pout while saying, "Well played, Hagakure. Well played." Needless to say, Tooru was deemed as worthy of staying in the hero course.

Vulkan would later offer Tooru her assistance in laminating the plucked feather and turning it into a pretty bookmark.

-Twelveth match…-

A boy from Class 1B with short brown hair and oval shaped eyes with oval pupils named Tsuburaba Kousei wore a serious expression as he faced Ferrus. Although he doubted that his quirk would protect him for long, he was determined to put up as good a fight as he could.

As soon as the match started, Ferrus charged towards Kousei while her metallic arms transformed into armoured metallic gauntlets. Just as she was about to strike Kousei, he blew out air that formed a thick wall of solid air in front of him. Noticing the near-transparent wall, Ferrus punched it. Kousei's eyes widened as it cracked with a single punch and immediately blew another barrier before Ferrus broke the first one with another punch. She then punched again but with more force than before, thus allowing her to easily break through Kousei's hastily-created second barrier. Kousei bit back a curse as he desperately tried to keep his distance from Ferrus while blowing a barrier of solid air with every breath he took to somehow slow her down. Undeterred by the barriers, Ferrus proceeded to smash through every single one while moving at a steady pace.

Eventually, Kousei got exhausted from using his quirk so much and got pinned down by Ferrus. In spite of the loss, Kousei was allowed to stay in the hero course.

-Thirteenth match…-

Corax frowned as she faced a blond boy from Class 1A with a slim build, a feminine face and long eyelashes named Aoyama Yuuga. As stated before, Icarian could use her quirk to predict the likelihood of a future event occurring and a quick check was enough to for her to find out that Yuuga was actually an agent of All For One by checking the likelihood that he would be sending information to the villain within the current school year.

Under normal circumstances, Yuuga would have been immediately apprehended so that he could be interrogated for information. However, as Yuuga was apparently an unwilling pawn in All For One's schemes, as evidenced by the very high likelihood that All For One would kill him and his family if they dared to betray him, and was not affiliated with the League of Chaos Undivided, Nedzu decided to let him attend U.A. High School as though he had successfully infiltrated the school. After all, an undercover agent that had been discovered could be used as a means of sending misinformation to the enemy. While the former primarchs had agreed to Nedzu's plan, they had no intention of trusting Yuuga any time soon.

Although nervous of facing the tall girl, Yuuga nevertheless said flamboyantly, "You may wield a dark power but everyone knows that the darkness flees before the dazzling brilliance of a sparkling light!"

Corax could not help but huff and said, "A brilliant sparkle may shine bright, but its light is a mere fleeting twinkle compared to the eternal shadow of the darkness."

Fumikage nodded in approval and thought, "Revelry in the dark." Little did he and Corax realise that two students from Class 1B, a boy with fluffy white hair, thin black eyes and pitch-black skin named Kuroiro Shihai and a girl with pale-grey hair, dark bags under her blue eyes and a small mouth with full lips named Yanagi Reiko were "fellow revellers of the darkness".

"That may be so, but you will find that this sparkling light will not go out without a bedazzling show of a fight!" said Yuuga while standing in a dramatic pose.

Shouta slapped his hand onto his face and groaned, "Kan, is it just me or is this year going to be full of chuunibyous?" Left unsaid was the borderline-insane fact that the former primarchs were not true chuunibyous since they were literal demigods in their past lives and had faced actual supernatural horrors.

Sekijirou sighed and grumbled, "Seems like it." Like Shouta, he knew about the truth of the former primarchs.

"Then I suggest that you prove yourself worthy of being deemed as a hero who will one day face the horrors that lurk within darkness," said Corax while assuming a fighting stance.

Yuuga almost wore a bitter smile before he stopped himself and said, "I intend to be such a hero, mademoiselle." The fleeting moment of bitterness did not pass unnoticed by Corax.

A moment of silence passed before Toshinori announced the start of the match. Without hesitation, Corax charged towards Yuuga while transforming into her shadow form. Yuuga reacted quickly and shot a beam of light from his navel. Due to his body being "ill-adapted" to his quirk, he had to wear a special belt over his navel so that his quirk would not go out of control. Corax easily avoided the attack by literally flowing around the beam of light, blocking its shining light as she charged onwards. Yuuga panicked and tried to attack again but Corax was quick enough to attack him with a punch on the cheek.

In spite of the the blow that had caused him to spin around, Yuuga refused to simply give up as he suddenly slammed his foot onto the floor to face Corax and unleash another beam of light from his navel. Corax was able to react quickly enough to avoid the attack but she noted that Yuuga was showing more determination than expected as she knocked him out with an uppercut to the chin.

Shouta, who knew that Yuuga was a spy for a villain, thought, "Assuming that he genuinely wants to be a hero, I won't mind having him stay in my class after settling the issue of him being a villain's unwilling spy."

-Fourteenth match…-

Lion raised an eyebrow as she gazed at a short boy from Class 1B who had a white speech bubble for a head named Fukidashi Manga. Of all the abhuman mutations she had witnessed, there was no denying that Manga's was by far one of the most ridiculous. In the first place, how was he supposed to even eat?

Pushing aside her incredulity, Lion assumed a fighting stance with the intention of defeating Manga as quickly as possible. As soon as the start of the match was announced, she charged towards him while he yelled…

-Meanwhile-

Magnus felt what could only be described as a "disturbance in the immaterium" as she turned around to face in the general direction of U.A. High School and thought, "For some reason, it feels like I've just missed a glorious moment that may never come to pass ever again till the end of time itself."

-Back at U.A. High School-

Lion's eyes were wide in shock as she was covered from head to toe in what seemed to be putty with the consistency of wet mashed potatoes. Only her eyes were not covered as she had swung her arm across in response to Manga's attack which involved creating the physical manifestation of a sound effect, "SPLUT!"

While it was undeniable that Lion was extremely skilled in combat and had a fighting instinct that was unmatched even among her fellow former primarchs, there was one limitation that she had never discovered before. Her fighting instincts had never encountered attacks that genuinely lacked malice and danger. Manga's "SPLUT!" was certainly an attack but it lacked any genuine malice and was clearly incapable of inflicting much harm. As a result, Lion instinctively thought that she could simply smack the word aside while failing to realise the "messy nature" of the word as it broke apart and covered her as though she had tried to smack aside a large ball of mud.

A moment of stunned silence passed before the other former primarchs tried to stop themselves to from laughing while Russ howled with laughter and pointed at Lion while saying, "By the Emperor's tap-dancing testicles, Lion, you got gunked up!"

Lion resisted the urge to throw a handful of putty at Russ as she glared at Manga and growled, "You're lucky that I'm told to hold back." She then stomped towards the boy with the intention of punching him at least once.

Somehow holding back his panic, Manga produced another word that came from his unusual head, "BRAAAP!"

-Less than five minutes later-

"Well, unexpected issues aside, I think we can agree that Manga deserves his spot in the hero course," said Ken while he and everyone else stood outside Gym Gamma. As for why everyone was outside, it involved a certain word that produced a powerful stench that some might describe as a downright nurglesque fart. Understandably, no one wanted to stay in the building which would have to be properly cleaned to remove the potent stink.

Lion appeared thoroughly humiliated as she was not only still covered in gunk but also got the worst of the smell that came from the manifested word, "BRAAAP!" Not surprisingly, she was glaring at Manga who was doing his best hiding behind Sekijirou for protection.

"Since continuing the sparring matches in the gym will be irrational, to say the least, we will be moving to a separate venue," said Shouta who then turned his attention towards Lion and said, "As for you, I would recommend taking a bath."

"I will do as you say, Aizawa-sensei," said Lion. She then glared at Manga one more time before she left the group to take a much-needed bath.

"S-she's going to have a bone to pick with me, isn't she?" asked Manga.

Russ smirked at Manga and said, "Oh, you can count on it!"

Since Gym Gamma could not be used again any time soon, the students and home-room teachers of Classes 1A, 1B and V, as well as Inko, Eri, Ken and Chiyo, moved to the P.E. grounds of the school to resume with the sparring matches.

-Fifteenth match…-

A boy from Class 1A with messy indigo hair, straight teeth, triangular dark-purple eyes with white pupils and dark eye bags named Shinsou Hitoshi frowned as he faced Izuku. Much like many of his peers from Classes 1A and 1B, he had seen not only a video of Izuku being deemed as worthy of being a hero by Toshinori in spite of being quirkless but also at least a few of his sparring matches with the tall girls from Class V. Inspired by how well Izuku could fight with a weapon in spite of being clearly outmatched by the tall girls, Hitoshi did some physical and weapon training before taking the entrance exam. The weapon that he ended up using for the entrance exam was a wooden staff which had a steel core for added durability. Needless to say, he had passed the exam and it was largely thanks to the training he had done.

When the match started, Izuku attacked Hitoshi who was barely able to block the attack with the same staff that he had used for the entrance exam. Before Izuku could attack again, Hitoshi quickly said, "I should thank you for helping me."

Surprised and confused, Izuku blinked and asked, "What do you mean…" His eyes then went blank as Hitoshi was able to use his quirk to take control of him. Even the former primarchs were shocked by Hitoshi's quirk which reminded them of a dreaded xenos species from their original universe known as the Khrave.

Hitoshi wore a bitter smile as he made Izuku walk out of the ring, which was a simple square drawn into the ground, before giving him a light tap on the top of his head with his staff to break his control over him. Clearly surprised by what had happened, Izuku turned his attention towards Hitoshi who then explained, "My quirk is [Brainwashing] and it allows me to take control of whoever verbally responds to my words. The thing is, I can't use it on robots and I only started working out and learning how to use a weapon after seeing videos of you training with those girls. Had I not done any physical and weapon training, I wouldn't have passed that entrance exam."

"That explains why he never used his quirk during the exam," thought Angron who, like the other former primarchs, had watched the regular entrance exams with the teachers. While they had watched the videos, they had not read the student files so there were missing details such as Hitoshi's quirk which had been unknown to them until recently.

"For a long time, I've wanted to be a hero. The thing is, everyone else thinks that my quirk is villainous and, honestly, even I can't completely disagree with them," said Hitoshi who was clearly bitter about his past.

"That's a whole lot of nonsense," said Izuku. Histoshi stared at him with a surprised expression as he explained, "Sure, it's easy to see how your quirk can be used in villainous ways, but that doesn't mean that it's inherently bad or can't be used for good. For example, you can just as easily use that quirk to stop villains from harming anyone by taking control of them."

A moment of silence passed before Hitoshi chuckled and said, "You're the first person who has ever told me that my quirk is not inherently bad." He then offered his hand to Izuku and said, "I look forward to having a proper sparring match with you."

Izuku smiled in return and accepted Hitoshi's hand with a smile and said, "Likewise, Shinsou-kun."

As the two shook hands, Eijirou, Tetsutetsu and Inasa said in unison, "So manly!"

Of course, Hitoshi was allowed to stay in the hero course.

-Sixteenth match…-

A pale-skinned boy from Class 1B with angular eyes, spiked beige hair, a flat nose, small eyebrows and a lipless mouth with exposed teeth named Honenuki Juuzou sighed and said, "Of all the students from Class V I have to face, it has to be the one who can fly."

"If it makes you feel any better I'm sure you would have had a much easier time taking on most of my other sisters had they been your opponents instead," said Sanguinius who smiled sympathetically at Juuzou. During the recommendation entrance exam, the former primarchs had met five students who were Juuzou, Momo, Setsuna, Inasa and a boy from Class 1A who had a burn scar around his left eye, heterochromatic eyes which were turquoise on the left and dark-grey on the right and bi-coloured hair which was evenly split between white on the right side and crimson-red on the left side named Todoroki Shouto.

"Well, we can't have everything go our way all the time," said Juuzou who then assumed a fighting stance and said, "So let's get this over with."

As soon at the match started, Sanguinius flew at a low altitude over the sparring ring while Juuzou sank into the ground by softening it to a semi-liquid state with his quirk. As expected, he could not attack Sanguinius who was in the air. That being said, Sanguinius was not exactly eager to dive blindly into the ground where Juuzou would have the advantage so she took her time to somehow locate Juuzou before diving into the softened ground like a sea eagle and literally kicking him out of the ground. Needless to say, Juuzou lost the match but he was allowed to remain in the hero course.

-Seventeenth match…-

Kouji was honestly relieved that his match was held outside as he would have a better chance of using his quirk to call for aid from the animals around him. As such, when his match with Russ began, he immediately called out, "Oh, feathered ones, please come to my aid!"

Russ barely had time to realise what was going on when various birds, including some of Corax's crows started attacking her with pecks and scratches. Although surprised by the attack, she knew how to deal with the birds as she suddenly transformed into her wulfen form and howled with the fury of a true Fenrisian alpha wolf.

Shocked by the powerful howl that drove the birds away in primal fear, Kouji stared in shock as Russ as she grinned at him and said, "If you want to take me down, you'll need something bigger than those birds."

Although intimidated by Russ' very presence, Kouji held his ground and, with great reluctance, said, "Oh, little frightful ones, come forth and vanquish the wolf that stands before me!"

Russ's confident grin slowly changed into an expression of dread as she stared at the incoming swarm of insects and other arthropods around her and uttered, "Aw shit…!"

In theory, Russ could have attempted taking on the swarm to win but not even the former primarchs could blame her for wanting to avoid getting stung and bitten by a huge swarm of arthropods that could crawl all over her body. As Russ admitted her defeat, Vulkan, Dorn and Ferrus agreed that they were going to build a few flamers, preferably the heavy variant, as soon as they could.

In spite of the fact that that Kouji admitted being scared of "creepy crawlies", his willingness to command them to defeat a strong enemy already made him worthy of staying in the hero course.

-Eighteenth match…-

A boy from Class 1B with dark shaggy hair and lazy-looking dark eyes named Kaibara Sen sighed as he faced Angron. Well aware of what she could so, Sen knew that his best chance of defeating her somehow would involve using his quirk defensively before striking back at an opportune moment.

As soon as the match began, Angron attacked Sen without hesitation. Thankfully, she was holding back her strength a bit more than before so Sen had a chance to rotate his left arm at a high speed like a drill to deflect as much of her incoming punch as possible. He then moved in to get close to her and drove a spinning right fist into her abdomen. However, Angron barely even flinched from the attack and grabbed the back of his P.E. shirt before throwing him out of the ring.

In spite of his loss, the clever use of his quirk to land a good hit on Angron allowed him to remain in the hero course.

-Nineteenth match…-

Vulkan frowned as she faced Shouto who was glaring at her. While she knew that Shouto was the youngest son of Enji (a.k.a. Endeavour), she also knew that he despised his own father for some reason. Admittedly, Shouto was far from the only one who disliked Enji as Inasa had previously admitted to her that he would not have attended the same school as Enji's son had he not wanted to personally meet the girls who had defeated the pro-hero. Given the available information of Enji's admittedly less-than-heroic moments, which were mostly provided Izuku, Vulkan learnt that the pro-hero had done things that made him disliked by many. The fact that Shouto had a burn scar around his left eye certainly had unfortunate implications of his home life with Enji.

"Before we begin, I would like to ask a question," said Vulkan who then asked Shouto, "Why do you despise your father so much?"

Shouto's glare intensified as he growled, "My resentment towards my own father has nothing to do with you."

"Perhaps, but as someone who has seen people turn to… villainy due to feelings of resentment towards others, including family members, I refuse to just ignore whatever problems you may have with your own father," said Vulkan who wore a bitter expression on her face as she recalled the horrific tragedies of the Horus Heresy.

Normally, Shouto would dismiss Vulkan's words but even he could tell that she was being more sincere than most. As such, he bitterly said, "I refuse to be like him. I will deny him by refusing his fire and become a great hero with only my mother's ice." His statement did not go unnoticed as many realised that he could use both fire and ice and yet refused to use his fire due to it being associated with his father, Enji. Inasa was particularly surprised by the information as he thought that Shouto was simply being unheroic like his father.

Vulkan was silent for a moment before she sighed and said, "I see." Suddenly, she lighted her lighter and then crushed it with her left hand, spilling burning oil all over it. The students of Classes 1A and 1B stared in shock as flames covered her body and burnt her clothes away as she spoke to Shouto, "I may not know why you refuse to use the full extent of your quirk but I know that the field of battle against the evils that plague humanity is no place for a wilful child who is not even willing to use the full extent of his own power." Although she was naked with only the flames covering her body, not even Minoru found the sight erotic as the air around her was simply too heavy to be anything but intimidating. She glanced at Shouta who understood her unspoken message, "Do not interfere."

Shouto hesitated for a moment before he glared at her and growled, "You know nothing of what he has done to me and the rest of my family!"

"No, I do not," admitted Vulkan who then glared at Shouto and asked, "but are you prepared to watch innocent people suffer and die when you could have helped them by using the other half of your power? Are you prepared to answer when grieving innocents demand to know why you never used your fire to save their loved ones? Are you prepared to do basically NOTHING when a terrible enemy who can only be defeated by fire threatens the very people whom you have sworn to protect?"

Shouto's clenched fists trembled as he struggled to think of answers to Vulkan's questions. Unable to think of any that was satisfactory, he activated the ice side of his quirk and growled, "Shut up…!"

A wave of ice emerged from the ground just in front of Shouto's right foot and grew rapidly as he attempted to defeat Vulkan with it. She looked at Shouto with a disappointed expression and sighed before she punched the incoming wave with a mighty flame-covered first. Shouto's eyes widened as the ice started to crack with flames emerging from the said cracks. As it broke apart, Vulkan said, "A true hero is someone who is willing to do whatever it takes to protect the innocent and vanquish the evil. You are not even willing to use the full extent of your power." Her eyes seemed to bore into his very soul as she added, "As long as that unwillingness remains, you will never become a true hero let alone a great one."

Shouto's glare turned hateful as he demanded, "Did my father set you up for this? To force me to use his fire?"

Vulkan shook her head and said, "No, he did not. I simply do not think that I can trust someone who will knowingly put everyone's lives at risk by handicapping himself just because he values his hatred towards his own father more than fulfilling his sworn duty as a hero."

"I do not need his fire! I will be a hero with only my mother's ice even if I have to destroy my own body to prove it!" yelled Shouto as he created another wave of ice to somehow overwhelm Vulkan. Instead of destroying the wave of ice, she leapt onto it and then started to run on it, her flame-wreathed bare feet leaving behind a trail of feet-shaped holes on it. Shouto created a wall of ice between himself and Vulkan to stop her counter-offensive. However, she was able to destroy it with a single flaming punch and then kicked him in the abdomen before he could create any more ice.

As Shouto struggled to stay standing, Vulkan asked, "If I can defeat you in spite of not only holding myself back but also wielding pyrokinesis instead of cyrokinesis, what makes you think you will do any better against an enemy who can counter your ice and will not hold back?"

In spite of the pain in his abdomen, Shouto chuckled bitterly and said, "No wonder that old man likes you. You're not just a girl with a good quirk that every person who wants a quirk marriage will lust for. You're also someone who's willing to do whatever it takes to win, just like him."

Vulkan's frown deepened as she argued, "Considering that you're apparently willing to do whatever it takes to deny your own father, including ruining your own body and putting everyone else at risk, you're just a pot calling a kettle black." Shouto's eyes widened in surprise at the rebuttal while Vulkan continued to speak, "As I have said before, I do not know what your father has done to you and the rest of your family but I know for a fact that hating a literal part of yourself will most likely end badly for you and everyone who genuinely cares for you." She then wore a bitter smile and added, "Take it as a word of advice from someone who has seen what self-loathing can do to people."

A moment of silence passed before Shouto said, "I'll… think about it."

As Shouto's match with Vulkan concluded, Shouta sighed and thought, "This is definitely a serious issue that requires immediate intervention, No.2 position in the hero rankings be damned."

-Twenty-one more matches later…-

"Well, unexpected results aside, you'll be happy to know that no one is getting expelled from the hero course," said Shouta who then turned his attention towards Shouto and said, "However, we will be addressing certain issues that have come to light during the sparring matches."

While Shouto stoically accepted the fact that his family issues was considered a serious matter, many other students were glad that they would all be allowed to remain in the hero course. Even Minoru was allowed to remain if only because he had proven himself to be a skilled strategist by using his quirk, which allowed him to pull purple balls from his head that could stick onto anything other than himself, to cleverly take control of the sparring ring and disarm his opponent, Izuku.

Not surprisingly, Minoru was smug when Izuku sheepishly admitted defeat because he could no longer use his weapon or move freely in the ball-covered sparring ring.

As it was already lunch time, everyone decided to have lunch together at the cafeteria to not only have lunch together but also socialise. In spite of the short time they had spent together, there was already a sense of friendship, if not more, between the students of Classes 1A, 1B and V.

There was Neito who saw the students of Class 1A as rivals that had to be defeated but no one, not even the former primarchs, took him seriously.

-In the primarchs' original universe…-

When visions of the twelve former primarchs and Izuku facing forty students in 1v1 matches started to appear in the dreams of Imperial psykers, there were bound to be reactions to them. True, the former primarchs held back from using their full might for nearly all of the matches but some of their matches with the students were honestly… embarrassing.

Sanguinius' individual matches with Juuzou and Insana were undoubtedly impressive. In fact, her match with Inasa, who could control the wind, was a truly impressive aerial duel that was nearly on par with some of her sparring matches with strong pro-heroes such as Hawks. However, no one was going to forget how she got one of her feathers plucked by Tooru, whom Orks would quite understandably describe as a 'kunning and sneaky git' and her girlish reaction to it. The Blood Angels and their successor space marine chapters, including even the vicious Flesh Tearers, were so embarrassed by the vision of their primarch's match with Tooru that even those who were under the influence of the Red Thirst and the Black Rage felt the influence weaken even if only temporarily.

An equally embarrassing match was Lion's match with Manga. In fact, it could be argued that Lion's match with him was even more embarrassing as it could be argued that Sanguinius only lost her feather to Tooru because she wanted to give the invisible girl a chance to prove herself. The fact that Russ laughed at Lion's misfortune certainly did not help as it basically gave the Space Wolves and their successor chapters the "green light" to poke fun at their Dark Angel counterparts. True, the Dark Angels and their successor chapters could insult their Space Wolf counterparts by mentioning Russ' loss to Kouji but many agreed that facing a swarm of stinging and biting insects without the proper wargear was foolish to say the least.

One embarrassing match that all the loyalist space marines agreed was amusing involved Angron's match with Ochako. Long story short, it involved Ochako somehow being able to render Angron weightless and the former daemon primarch of Khorne "furiously swimming" in the air to somehow stay within the ring until Ochako released her from the effects of her gravity-negating quirk. True, Angron had gone easy on the girl in spite of being aware of her quirk but many people in the Imperium still found the match funny especially when Ochako managed to make Angron flustered by asking her if she had kissed Izuku yet.

On a side note, Angron and Izuku had not kissed yet and even Eri was surprised by the bashful admission from the both of them.

Not surprisingly, a suggestion was made to make a comedic play about the twelve former primarchs and Izuku sparring the "Forty Initiates". The majority of the Ecclesiarchy were reluctant to approve a play that could be interpreted as mocking the former primarchs but a quick word from the Adeptus Custodes was enough to allow the play to be approved.

While the 42nd Millenium was indeed a dark age for humanity, it was not without its moments of relative light-heartedness.

-End Chapter-

Author's Notes:

I shall be honest, this chapter can arguably be considered as a long-as-heck filler. However, since I want to introduce the students of Classes 1A and 1B, I figured that getting it all done in one single chapter via an altered and extended version of the 'Quirk Apprehension Test Arc' will help to save time for future chapters. Besides, this chapter has at least some plot relevant details such as the the students who have replaced Izuku and Katsuki's canon spots in Class 1A, Histoshi and Inasa, the students showing arguably more skill than canon, an early confirmation of Yuuga as All For One's spy and having Shouto's issues dealt with earlier than canon.

Of course, the chance of adding comical moments such as Tooru plucking one of Sanguinius' feathers was a nice bonus.

Yes, I have intentionally written less than half of the matches as even I find the idea of writing all forty matches in a single chapter too much. Heck, even writing nineteen of them was getting a bit much. That being said, I do apologise for skipping any fights that you wanted to see.

In case anyone wonders how I came up with the term, "Emperor's tap-dancing testicles", let's just say that it is inspired by a quote in a 'Warhammer 40K: Text-To-Speech' video and leave it at that. [The relevant link: watch?v=WDFwgOFYF-M]

The following chapter will either show more of the students' days at U.A. High School, the Penites Imperialis, the League of Chaos Undivided or any combination of the three.

Until next time, go beyond, plus ultra!
